Lupe Fiasco page

Hello TonytheTiger, you mentioned on my talk page about how I helped the Lupe Fiasco article achieve "good article status" or something like that. I am very happy to contribute, and I thank you for that badge you gave me on my talk page. Also, I see that you have a LOT of badges, and I would very much like to be like you. Can you tell me how I can help contribute? Osh33m (talk) 15:15, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

This is a huge fucking mess, that I tried not to become part of. I just can't help it now; with that random as hell rename. It's clear that nobody is interested in actually helping the article. Statυs (talk) 06:05, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

Roses in Portland

I'm going to be reviewing Roses in Portland over at Talk:Roses in Portland/GA2 and I was wondering if you could very briefly summarize you closing rationale so that I can be sure it is addressed. Thanks. Viriditas (talk) 11:36, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. If GAR is the usual procedure, then should it be closed and opened over there? Since you were the original closer, should you do it? Otherwise, I can continue the review. Viriditas (talk) 21:05, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

Getting Around New York Times Archives

Hello! I remember there was a way to get unlimited New York Times archive access for free, but forget how to do it. I think you showed it to me, but maybe I'm full of it. Anyway, do you know the secret to the archives (1920s-1980s)? ~EDDY (talk/contribs)~ 02:48, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Main page appearance: South Side, Chicago

This is a note to let the main editors of South Side, Chicago know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on August 11, 2012. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/August 11, 2012. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. The blurb as it stands now is below:

Photograph of Chicago's South Side from Regent's Park

The South Side is a major part of the City of Chicago. Regions of the city, referred to as sides, are divided by the Chicago River and its branches. The South Side of Chicago was originally defined as all of the city south of the main branch of the Chicago River, but it now excludes the Loop. The South Side has a varied ethnic composition, and it has great disparity in income and other demographic measures. The South Side covers 60% of the city's land area, with a higher ratio of single-family homes and larger sections zoned for industry than the rest of the city. Neighborhoods such as Armour Square, Back of the Yards, Bridgeport, and Pullman tend to be composed of more blue collar residents, while Hyde Park, the Jackson Park Highlands District, Kenwood, and Beverly tend to have middle, upper-middle class, and affluent residents. The South Side boasts a broad array of cultural and social offerings, such as professional sports teams, landmark buildings, nationally renowned museums, elite educational institutions, world class medical institutions, and major parts of the city's elaborate parks system. Template:United States at the Olympics

Hey Tony, saw you were adding Template:United States at the Olympics to articles. Isn't that a bit redundant with Template:Infobox Olympics United States at the top? -- Jonel (Speak to me) 02:24, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for sharing your knowledge in quality articles, such as South Side, Chicago, keeping track of them in admirable organization, and for asking with MLK "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" - repeating: you are an awesome Wikipedian (15 February 2009)! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:02, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi Tony, if you are in the neighborhood could you take and upload a picture of Kenwood Academy? It seems the picture we've been using is a copyvio. I'd do it myself but I'm out of town. Speciate (talk) 05:15, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Tom Brady - GA

First off, thank you for taking a look, even just a cursory look, at Tom Brady. This is the first Article I've ever submitted for assessment, so I'm sorry if I need a little more hand-holding than your average GA Nominator. Y'know, there are just some subjective criteria (Broad, Neutral, Stable) that I really have no earthly idea how GA Reviewers view those words and what they expect. Tom Brady was delisted in this Reassessment, and all I did was go through and add citations and make some MOS revisions and fix what had caused it to be failed in the first place. Now, that Reassessment was over 3 years old when I started fixing things. I know you're very experienced in this sort of work, so I'm hoping to glean as much out of this as possible...so that my next GA Nomination perhaps goes a little smoother. Again, very much thank you and I hope to hear from you going forward. Achowat (talk) 13:33, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Feedback requested at the Village Pump

Hi Tony. I have a proposal at the village pump about introducing a color scheme to the text editor so it is easier for newer editors to differentiate between different kinds of syntax, particularly references. I'd welcome your feedback at the village pump. I, Jethrobot drop me a line (note: not a bot!) 01:30, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
