Recent edit to M.I.A. (rapper)

[edit]

Hello. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person (M.I.A. (rapper)), but that you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 21:55, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on El Dorado (Shakira album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. File permission problem with File:Shakira El Dorado album cover.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Shakira El Dorado album cover.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of "El Dorado (Shakira album)"

[edit]

El Dorado (Shakira album), a page you created, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a song or piece of music, but does not indicate why it is important or significant (and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia) and there is no article about the song's artist. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for music in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content that complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content, or remove the speedy deletion tag from the page. You can contest the deletion by clicking the "Contest this speedy deletion" button inside the speedy deletion tag. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Please familiarize yourself with WP:NMUSIC which details how nobility on music articles work on Wikipedia. You have been creating articles about songs and albums that do not meet the criteria on WP:NMUSIC so I suggest you do so before your edits become disruptive. Thank you. Erick (talk) 05:40, 5 May 2017 (UTC) Well first off all I am creating pages for Shakiras singles "Tú Serás la Historia de Mi Vida" and "Eres". So their is nothing wrong with that[reply]

Then you are not paying attention. Neither of those songs satisfies the nobility because neither song either ranked on a music chart, won or received a notable accolade, or has a notable cover version. This is outlined on WP:NMUSIC which tells me you have not read it like I've asked you to. Also, sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) at end of your comment please. Erick (talk) 05:44, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Her first 2 records weren't on charts! They are still singles and I am going to create the pages.

Then they are not notable, period. The fact that they were singles does not automatically make them notable and thus do not warrant an article. WP:NSONGS, the section on WP:NMUSIC, specifically details how song nobility works on Wikipedia. I highly suggest you read less your edits will be considered disruptive and could lead you to being blocked from Wikipedia. Erick (talk) 05:49, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mmmhmm😂 They can block me then. I am putting on what i believe should be put on.

Logging out of your account and editing as your IP does not absolve of you of ignoring the guidelines of Wikipedia. You have been warned repeatedly not to remove speedy delete templates yet you continue to do so. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, you will be reported to WP:ANI. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Nicki Minaj. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Binksternet (talk) 06:18, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent disruptive editing, both from this account and from numerous IP addresses without logging in. You have ignored messages on at least nine user talk pages, and have even openly stated your intention of ignoring guidelines and editing as you please.
