Information icon Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Taichung City Bus Route 17 without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. As noted in the header for the deletion discussion, the article should not be blanked while the discussion is ongoing. After the discussion concludes, the article will be deleted or turned into a redirect if appropriate.C.Fred (talk) 13:24, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "UY4Xe8VM5VYxaQQ", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it seems to be a random string of characters, which is unnecessarily confusing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Jackmcbarn (talk) 15:19, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

 – Jackmcbarn (talk) 02:03, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The username mean nothing and not violate any rules of username that:

  • Offensive
  • Vandalizing
  • Misleading
  • Promotional

UY4Xe8VM5VYxaQQ (talk) 00:57, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The username policy specifically mentions confusing usernames. See WP:UNCONF. Jackmcbarn (talk) 02:03, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The user is correct that their username is not in violation of Wikipedia policy. To make a judgement regarding whether or not a name is "confusing" is totally arbitrary and shows an English language bias. You seem to have a peculiar need to interfere with other peoples wikpedia experience Jackmcbarn and it appears to be unwelcome in many cases.Dalamani (talk) 14:53, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's not arbitrary. It's in the policy. And it has nothing to do with English; the name in question is a random character string that doesn't mean anything in any language. Jackmcbarn (talk) 16:20, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Jackmcbarn (talk):My name means nothing, it just a user name, nor either promotional, misleading, offensive and used for vandalizes. UY4Xe8VM5VYxaQQ (talk) 17:22, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken this matter to WP:RFCN. Jackmcbarn (talk) 17:41, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oooooh...big time power broker! Why dont you find something useful to do instead of harassing with and interfering with other wikipedia users? In other words mind your own frigging business! Dalamani (talk) 11:09, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Looks like it may be too late, but just so you know the unanimous (aside form the filing party) consensus was that your username was not a violation and you may keep using it.Beeblebrox (talk) 19:53, 10 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, is there a specific page you wish to hide titles from? I would advise against hiding titles from all pages. Disambiguation link notification for October 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Shangrao Railway Station, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Xinzhou District. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wealthy nainai requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. //nepaxt 18:04, 7 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Progressive toll[edit]

The article Progressive toll has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Nothing more than a dictionary definition - no evidence that this is a notable concept.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Curise[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Curise, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

List of population by timezone is uncited with no indication of copyright status[edit]

You have created this article with no indication of where the data came from, when they were correct, whose copyright they are, how they were calculated, or anything else about them. We could just delete the article as a likely copyright violation, or you could provide a reference to where you found the data and we can discuss what to do to improve the article. Many thanks. Chiswick Chap (talk) 14:34, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of population by timezone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.sporcle.com/games/segacs/time-zones-in-order-of-population. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/UY4Xe8VM5VYxaQQ, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
