Replaceable fair use File:Shore Based Test Facility (SBTF).jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Shore Based Test Facility (SBTF).jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 18:44, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Adding reference to Wikipedia articles

Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Hello Jaaron95! Please do not forget to add references from reliable sources for the content you add to Wikipedia. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "templates",
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,

This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. You can read more about it on Help:Edit toolbar or see this video File:RefTools.ogv. thanks and regards --Anir1uph | talk | contrib 21:43, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Hello!

I just posted a tip above! Cheers and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope to see you more here. You are doing good work, and will learn quickly. We all make some initial mistakes when we start (I did!) but we learn and become better in time. Image copyrights is a particularly tough and confusing issue, but I hope you will keep contributing here. I was thinking about creating Shore Based Test Facility for the past few months, but never got to it; I am glad that you created it. Ask me on my talk page if you need help or suggestions here. Though i am busy these days, I will try to answer your questions as quickly as I can, or at least point you at the right direction. Happy editing! :) Anir1uph | talk | contrib 21:43, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on NPO Saturn AL-55I requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.uk-odk.ru/eng/products/military_aviation/al55i/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Indian Navy

Jaaron95. The LCU Mk VIs are still under construction, as such, they cannot be categorized as "active". After all, the article is entitled "List of active Indian Navy ships".Antiochus the Great (talk) 17:58, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

Thank you Jaaron95 for clearing that up for me, completely my mistake. Sorry. Keep up the good work mate! Antiochus the Great (talk) 11:08, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
As far as I know, the LCUs are not designated any names, so their class would simply be "Mk. III LCU" and "Mk. IV LCU". Also yes, you can patrol new pages - it is open for everybody. Antiochus the Great (talk) 13:56, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

New Page Patrol

Hi jaaron, Thank you for showing interest in patrolling new pages, however you only have less than 150 edits in to mainspace so i recommend you wait another 2 months to get more experience in Wikipedia and policy and guidelines. I know your account is one year old but you lack sufficient experience required for page curation. a new page patroller requires more than 500 edit undeleted mainspace edits and a solid knowledge of policies to be able to review new articles. Please be sure to read WP:NPP and WP:DELETION before tagging any more pages.please take it as an advice from a follow Wikipedia.new page patrolling is tedious task, check my talk page to see why.if you have any question please post it down below :)Nicky mathew (talk) 17:46, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

@Jaaron95: Hi again first of all thank you so much for replying kindly back to me. stats page is currently down so I was unable to see your exact number of edit but contribution page showed me its less than 500 edits and i been seeing your edits in Active ships of Indian navy and your interaction with Antiochus the Great. you are doing a great job and please continue contributing. edit more pages that you have deep knowledge about and slowly learn Wikipedia guidelines such WP:NPP and WP:DELETION in detail. don't edit to increase your edit counts, just do exactly what you were doing some days ago and monitor talk pages of other experienced user talk pages to learn more and also see WP:AfC and again take it as an advice from a fellow wikipedian .if you have any question please don't hesitate to ask :) Nicky mathew (talk) 18:14, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Felipe Henrique Jose dos Santos proposed deletion

Hi,

There are two links to the league's website.

Geregen2 (talk) 17:32, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

You wrote: The references you've mentioned are in Russian.. But the article is in English
Why does that matter?
Can you point to a policy (not just your personal preferences, but official policy) that says that the references should exclusively be in English on English wiki? Thanks.
Geregen2 (talk) 17:55, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
Geregen2, don't be offended! I just removed the unnecessary tags. @Jaaron95: sources don't have to be in english language and use of non-english source on wikipedia is not forbidden. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 21:21, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Melipotis evelina and other speedy deletion nominations

Hi, I have declined a bunch of your nominations that clearly do not meet the strict WP:A1 and WP:A3 criteria. I appreciate your enthusiasm but please familiarise yourself with the detail of the criteria before making future nominations. If you consider that these articles do not meet WP:GNG then it is, of course, open to you to nominate at WP:AFD but note that species articles are generally kept. Just Chilling (talk) 20:28, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

If these would be deleted, you would have your work cut out for you. I made about 50.000 species articles. None were deleted by the way, so it seems the rest of wikipedia does not agree with you on the importance of species articles. Ruigeroeland (talk) 06:45, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi, the above is an article that you tagged a short while ago for PROD. Based on what I can tell, the article was about an Indonesian shopping mall. But it was hijacked about an hour ago by Shivaganga infra to promote their residential property developments in Bangalore, India, which is obviously a completely different business in a completely different country. I have removed all of their additions, and have (hopefully?) returned the aritcle to the state it was in yesterday. Would you like to reconsider your PROD nomination? You may be right about the notability of the Indonsian company, but I don't think any decision should be made based on today's changes to the article. Regards, AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 06:36, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

P.S. User Shivaganga infra, if I have misunderstood your edits, and your company is related to the Indonesian hypermart, please explain it on the article's talk page. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 06:39, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi again

Hi Jaaron95, I saw you started page patrolling again and you are doing a good job. please remember the following things while new page patrolling ..press the unreviewed button if you are unsure if the page reviewed by you needs additional patroller varification to make sure tags or deletion needs to looked into by more patrollers or just post the link on my talk page to make sure tags and speedly deletion are correctly marked. Take a bold move and mark for speedy deletion if you think a page is advertisement (most brands or company page with low importance created by new editors) and lastly don't put too much tags on a single page, put 3 max,not more than that and always make sure it is the right tag if you are not sure then just unreview it,another patroller will take a look at it. if you have any question please don't hesitate to ask .Nicky mathew (talk) 06:15, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

@Nicky mathew: Hi! Thanks again for stopping and sharing your thoughts on my patrolling! Sorry for not keeping my word on patrolling! However I've patrolled the pages of new editors only for a start and it gave me a great knowledge on patrolling. And I patrolled, tagged and CSDed in obvious cases.. And I'll follow your advice on patrolling and leave you a message if I have a doubt! And please don't hesitate to stop by my talk page and correct my mistakes thus helping me improve! Thank you!! :) --Jaaron95 (talk) 17:48, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

Declined Speedy Deletion

Just to let you know, I've declined your speedy deletion at User:Greendondo/OAK Racing. On the talkpage, they've now said the purpose of this page is to create tables to add to OAK Racing once finished. This seems believable, as these types of tables are often in racing pages, and OAK Racing doesn't currently have these tables. I'll monitor the page to make sure this is actually the case. Editing own talk page

Hi,

I read the Wikipedia guidelines and I am allowed to remove warnings as this constitutes acknowledging them as read, but then you reposted it. Although we have a disagreement on my use of one-sided sources, I did agree that the edit I made on the Syria Civil War page as seen by the bot was not constructive, it was probably a bit too much data and I agree with the removal of my edit. (I think I might have accidentally re-done it when I wanted to remove it, however my intention is to keep it removed). Thank you. Sipriot (talk) 09:39, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Shoaib Zaidi

Hello Jaaron95. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Shoaib Zaidi, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 11:55, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion to decline

Hello Jaron95, this is not for promotion or any kind of your allegations if there is any kind of text/content you feel is used for promotional just tell me i will delete or change it just don't put speedy deletion tag on it — Preceding unsigned comment added by Babu ID (talkcontribs) 13:41, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Babu ID, user pages are not meant for articles or any other promotions. Please go through Wikipedia:User pages to find what an User page is for. If you want to create an article, read Wikipedia:Your first article, which will give a clear idea on how to create an article. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, where there are certain necessities to create an article. The company or organisation you've created an article for in User:Babu ID/IDIPIA doesn't seem to be notable (worthy of attention or notice). In that case, that article will be deleted similarly! Thank you! --Jaaron95 (talk) 13:53, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion to decline

List of active Indian Navy ships-INS Arihant (S73)

@Antiochus the Great: Hey guys , we have a small problem to deal with, INS Arihant is still undergoing sea trials hence not an active sub but still made it to list of active ships. a new editor pointed it out to me now so I just wanted to know both yours opinion about this issue since you both are quite active on that page.if it a yes because of its higher public profile then what should we do about scorpene class sub, Antiochus the Great in 2013 a similar discussion regarding Vikramaditya, Arihant and Kolkata class took place on a talk page which you may remember, any change in your position? Do not delete Science and Rationalists' Association of India

Hello, Please don't delete Science and Rationalists' Association of India's article. I read all the information. All information are true. If someone write down about Tiger. And someone edit the tiger wiki that 'Royal Bengal Tiger is rare Tiger.' Then do you delete this info for giving Royal Bengal Tiger name? Is it a promotion to giving Royal Bengal Tiger name? Please make sure that what is promotion & what not. This Association do good very well in social angel. I read all things and there I didn't see any promotion. Please judge this very carefully. You have the chair in wiki for reserve good work, association, institution & u did well. AFD

Hi Jaaron95, I've closed your AFD as Speedy Keep as you haven't provided a reason for deletion,
Editors need to provide a reason for deletion otherwise it'll be closed as "Speedy Keep" per Wikipedia:Speedy keep which states and I quote "The nominator withdraws the nomination or fails to advance an argument for deletion or redirection",
If you provide a reason here I'd be more than happy to reopen it for you or you could just renominate it yourself :),
Thanks and Happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 17:25, 9 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Davey2010:, sorry! I didn't know that I had to provide a reason compulsorily. But, the reason I marked the article for deletion is that I was baffled by the number and types of tags for a BLP article. A BLP article with disputed content, original research, 'not on' NPOV, and 'on' FPOV shouldn't be kept on the first place is my reason! And as a fairly new editor, having read the guidelines of Wikipedia on BLP articles, I think Uygar Aktan should be in a serious trouble! Thank You!--Jaaron95 (talk) 17:36, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
  • Sorry Jaaron95 but Tito's right - Your reason can all be fixed with simple editing, Articles should only be nominated if there's no notability .... Not because of the reasons you mentioned above, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 18:40, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
  • @Titodutta:, @Davey2010: I doubt if anything will be left when that ~10 line article is cleaned up! Seeing that many Tags on a BLP forced me to place a deletion tag! Anyways, I just follow my seniors! You need not reopen the discussion Page! Thank you!! --Jaaron95 (talk) 18:48, 9 April 2015 (UTC)

April 2015

Information icon Hello Jaaron95. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), or content (CSD A3), moments after they are created, as you did at The Bartley Corporation. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. TL22 (talk) 12:48, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @ToonLucas22:, thanks for your advice, and I'll take that into account hereafter! Just as a doubt, the right procedure is to save the article as draft before it's published or place a tag {{New page}}, isn't it? As I use Twinkle, the page is auto marked as 'patrolled' when I place a CSD tag on the page. Or, you are mentioning some other pages which I marked as 'patrolled' wrongly? Thank You! --Jaaron95 (talk) 13:15, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
Well yeah, everytime someone performs an action on an unpattroled page with Twinkle it gets patrolled. But editing an unpatrolled page manually does not automatically patrol it, so yeah. --TL22 (talk) 13:34, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

I fit the criteria for Ratings so stop deleting it.

aNewRisingMusic is a full fledged news and album review WEBSITE. Not blog, and has a writing STAFF and not USERS. Which according to the Wikipedia RELIABLE RESOURCES page means that I am ABLE to edit these pages with my WEBSITE'S rating.

Thank You. Anewrisingmusic (talk) 05:40, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

"Cite a reliable source"

My website IS a reliable source. It's not a blog. It's a news website that gives unique and adequate news and album reviews, just like Billboard, AltPress, Metacritic and they are all allowed to post in the ratings. Anewrisingmusic (talk) 05:57, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Your revert at Circadian rhythm

I see that you reverted this edit by Murphyant. Murphyant's source, this 2014 review,

  • Zelinski EL, Deibel SH, McDonald RJ. 2014. The trouble with circadian clock dysfunction: Multiple deleterious effects on the brain and body. Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews 40:80-101.,

appears, as far as I can see from just the abstract, to be a good one.

Why did you revert it? Will you consider reverting your edit? --Hordaland (talk) 15:01, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi, @Hordaland: thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it... after checking it I found that I reverted the edit because, the user replaced all the references with Template:Medical citation needed... I'm sorry, I didn't notice what was inside the reference tags! And as a fairly new user I didn't know what MCN meant! I'll apologize to the user! Thanks for your help! Cheers! --Jaaron95 (talk) 16:59, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
I must admit that I only recently discovered what MCN means. There are so many abbreviations. Thanks for your response! --Hordaland (talk) 17:03, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Okay the page for Aathira was previously deleted as a prod and just recreated which I just wanted to point out as you did just patrol it. Thanks. Wgolf (talk) 17:19, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

In that case can I add references to get the PROD removed? @Wgolf: --Jaaron95 (talk) 17:22, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
Seems like the creator is recreating pages that were deleted-such as one show that was removed per AFD in February which I just put a CSD up for. Wgolf (talk) 17:23, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
Personally I've seen that show... But it's your take on that article.. Wgolf --Jaaron95 (talk) 17:26, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

John Hussey (American football official)

Thanks for adding the maintenance tag to John Hussey (American football official). I just created the article today. I will definitely add more sources as I find them. Happy editing! Fresh Sullivan (talk) 17:53, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Fresh Sullivan thank you for your contributions here in Wikipedia! Wikipedia takes Biographies of living persons very seriously! I'd be happy to remove the tag I placed once you add more reliable sources! Cheers! --Jaaron95 (talk) 17:58, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Controversies and Conspiracy theories about Joseph stalin's death

now i removed the copyright infringement materials from http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2292123/Stalin- (Duplication Detector report · Copyvios report) i contest this should be deleted because this page has a good value

Hi, Krishnachaitan thanks for your support... I agree the topic of article is a notable one. But you have copy pasted considerable materials from this link, here, here and here. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sin, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Romans. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Loomis

Jaaron95 ---

Just wondering what I can do to properly cite the sources for my info on Loomis. What am I doing wrong? I want to add these things before they are lost and no one knows about Loomis and its history. Sorry that I am not a savvy contributor, but I am not finding it easy to contribute information that is properly cited... I thought I was citing appropriately.

Angel Raymond

Hi, Angelraymond thanks for your contribution here in Wikipedia. When you are adding information to articles, be sure to add sources. If you don't, chances are they will be challenged or deleted. ERROR

Thanks for your kind attention and message...actually one of friends got my password and they created the page 'Starlink Group Bd' without knowing the guideline. I'm extremely sorry for that.

Hi, ABHBOSS great to see you! Change your password ASAP to get your account saved. Your friend may bring a black mark to your record. Be careful.. And try to bring it as a behavior of signing your messages using ~~~~, at the end of your messages in talk pages. This can help identify who sent the message easily! Cheers! --†ããrøn95® 03:33, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Patrolling, but no arguments

Hi Jaaron95. Thank you for patrolling the article on Julia Galef. I notice you have added templates that some sources may not be reliable, but have not stated yet on the Talk page which sources are unreliable or demonstrated in what way the information of the source could be considered unreliable. Can you please do that? Kind regards, Timelezz (talk) 10:35, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Timelezz:, I've responded to your query here. --†ããrøn95® 10:56, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Herbert Huber (botanist)

You proposed Herbert Huber (botanist) for deletion citing a rule for living persons that are completely unsourced, yet this is a dead person that is sourced - was this a bot error? --Michael Goodyear (talk) 10:42, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Michael Goodyear that was my mistake! Sorry for that! I failed to notice that the subject is no more and just looking at references I placed a PROD. Which I think is removed by Wgolf! Sorry for that! --†ããrøn95® 10:59, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Although for the record, WP:BLPPROD states "article contain no sources in any form (as references, external links, etc.), which support any statements made about the person in the biography." --Michael Goodyear (talk) 11:18, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Gotcha! all your references pointed to the same article! Not on a secondary source... this one, this one, and this one. Are they really references? That's the reason I placed a PROD... --†ããrøn95® 11:24, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
