Mii Contest Channel

I'll try to keep this updated - after next month it should be easier - but bear in mind that the EU and US contests differ! Tim (Xevious) (talk) 09:08, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

List of Wii games

I'm not supporting the region lists. It's redundant repetitive information. An editor split the list into regions with no discussion, so I brought the matter up at the Video Game project talk page. RobJ1981 (talk) 05:23, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Talk page archiving

Post this by the other archive: User talk:Versus22/Archive 2, then copy and move the talk page contents you want into it. I think that's right. If it doesn't work, I'm not sure what you would need to do. RobJ1981 (talk) 18:01, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I don't know about using the auto archiving system, I'm afraid. LessHeard vanU (talk) 17:36, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Manual cut and paste; I generally start archiving when my talkpage index goes over a hundred, and then remove everything that is "dead" and older than the previous month. As you can see on my talkpage, I have many unused archive "boxes" and I use the next available one. When I get to my (self imposed) limit of twelve - I cannot think of a punning way to write "thirteen" - I will transfer all the old archives into archive "won" and put the newly archived material into archive "too". Again, when (or more likely if) I again fill up the 12 boxes then everything goes into "too" and I start again at "free". I cannot contemplate being around for so long that I will ever need to create a new archive file, but if it happens I will deal with it then... LessHeard vanU (talk) 09:51, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Wii Shop Channel

I first noticed the Wii Ticket option in the settings on Friday night when I downloaded World of Goo, so it's been there at least since then. I haven't been on the Wii Shop Channel since then, so if there is an actual update to the channel today, it is changing other stuff. -Zomic13 (talk) 05:24, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Jehochman Talk 15:20, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

I haven't done anything else but fix a small error on the Milk page that says Tom Ammiano was portrayed by an actor. I saw the movie tonight and double-checked it on the IMDB page, and Tom Ammiano plays himself in the film.

Ok i was thinking maybe instead of the flag icons, you should use: "NA, EU or PAL, AUS and JP" and then add a key to the intro to explain this, like on List of Sega 32X games. Usually using PAL if either EU or AUS date is missing but then if you have them both use EU and AUS instead. As for the Tsuushin Taikyoku: World Chess game i would maybe favour only listing the japanese release, as the European release was a Wii release, but maybe you should post the question on that conversation at the wikiproject and see what other people think. Salavat (talk) 01:21, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Ok no problem. Great work on the list though. Salavat (talk) 02:37, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

For taking the trouble to reorganize List of WiiWare games into something intelligible, a feat I wanted to do but never attempted. Hard work always has its rewards, and you've certainly earned this one. -- Commdor {Talk} 23:14, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Rollback request

You have a pretty solid history of good contributions, with a couple of goof-ups that you realized right away. However, your vandalism reverting history only goes back a few days and contains about 50 or so contributions. I'm just not confident that you have enough experience fighting vandalism yet to be granted rollback. Get more familiar with all that goes into fighting vandalism, look into installing Twinkle in the meantime, then re-request in 2-4 weeks. Let me know if you have any quesitons or need any help! Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 03:40, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I just saw the note a few sections up regarding edit-warring. Definitely, definitely, definitely do not engage in edit-warring or break the 3RR if you are aiming to be granted rollback. Administrators usually look deep into your contribution history when deciding whether to grant or not, and if they find that you engage in edit-warring will usually be inclined to not grant the request. I'm not saying that you were or weren't edit-warring; I just wanted to let you know what we look at. Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 03:47, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
The edit war was not having games listed from the ESRB at Talk:List of Virtual Console games (North America). Vernon (Versus22) (talk) 03:52, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I had looked into it. In the meantime, keep up the good work! Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 03:53, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I did! Go check the third archive. Surprise! There will be a new archive there, just for you. You will love it. Geuiwogbil (Talk) 23:55, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Ah, I see. I forgot to put the template there. Is that a mortal sin, or merely a venial one? I'm not much for casuistry, so keep it simple! I'm sorry to get you tied up in all this "page-archiving" nonsense, Versus 22. (Mind if I call you V.22?) I hope I won't trouble you again! Geuiwogbil (Talk) 00:03, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! A good day to you too, sir! Geuiwogbil (Talk) 00:07, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Speaking of archiving why are you removing comments? Shouldn't these be archived? --86.40.199.10 (talk) 17:43, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

There are some exceptions, like if I get disturbing messages, or if I don't feel comfortable with a message that is sent to me. Vernon (Versus22) (talk) 20:56, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
And do either of those apply? It seems as though you are only trying to erase all mention of a mistake you made. That could be seen as an attempt to corrupt the truth. --86.45.205.22 (talk) 00:17, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

I don't know; since I don't speak Arabic, I can't make heads or tails of it. I wasn't able to find the page using Google, and ar:طبائع الإستبداد و مصارع الإستعباد doesn't seem to exist on Arabic Wikipedia, either. I added a quote to the Alan Shore page from the episode "Schmidt Happens," and you removed it, saying it wasn't constructive. Why? 173.67.13.69 (talk) 05:10, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Hello, and thanks for the welcome...

...I've used wikipedia for years, but I'll stay the way I am (editing without an account.) I just fix spelling and punctuation errors as I find them, and I revert vandalism. I prefer to "revert" by hand, so I don't revert too far back or miss any vandalism, just like how some of the vandalism on Alcoholic beverages was missed for an hour and thirty minutes. Thanks for the welcome, though. First time anyone has noticed me... or was it a bot? 75.61.137.105 (talk) 06:57, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Copy-paste move of History of the British Isles

Would you please undo the copy-paste moves of History of the British Isles by user Dunlavin Green (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). I have had enough of this edit warring for today. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 07:14, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

No. There was no requested move to change this page in the first place-none. I am simply restoring it to its original name. Because the original name, History of Great Britain had in the meantime been taken up as a redirect page to the new, unauthorised, History of the British Isles page, I had to copy and paste on to History of Great Britain as it was not possible to simply restore that name on what was now called the History of the British Isles page. Dunlavin Green (talk) 07:25, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

You should have discussed it at the talk page first. You can't just move it to another article. Vernon (Versus22) (talk) 07:37, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
The issue here is not moving as in WP:MOVE but cut and paste that needs to be reverted immediately. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 07:44, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Qin Shi Huang, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Boku no Pico

I was thinking about moving Boku no Pico to Boku no Pico series, as the article concerns all the OVA's. What do you think about it? (I put this on your page because of your recent edit on it) moocows rule 09:55, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

I'm not really familiar with the article, as I don't follow Japanese releases. I think you should bring it to the discussion page on that article, and see what others think. I was actually removing vandalism on that article. Vernon (Versus22) (talk) 10:01, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
I brought it to your page because the talk page is limited to a bunch of fans asking things about the series, rather than the article itself. I doubt anyone would respond there, so I brought it to about the only other editor I've seen on the Boku no Pico page. moocows rule 10:08, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from El Patrón, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, it is best not to propose deletion of articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Please note that I have brought the article to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/El Patrón - feel free to comment there. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 11:40, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Nazi grudge vandal

Hello. Thanks for reverting the recent template vandalism by 24.39.1.245 (talk · contribs). Unfortunately the poor soul behind this vandalism has decided to use Wikipedia for his own grudge match. Since this vandal always operates via open proxies and has been reported numerous times to WP:AN and WP:AN/I, please feel free to report him on sight (and un-warned) to WP:AIV. In order to help us limit the damage he can cause, if you run into this vandal again, just immediately report it to AIV with a diff so that we may block him as quickly as possible (the normal process of escalating warnings is not really necessary for this IP-hopping vandal). Please let me know if you have any questions or issues, and thanks for helping keep Wikipedia clear of vandalism! --Kralizec! (talk) 19:54, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

No problem. However, that is not the only grudge vandal... 125.27.6.0 was doing it too. There were a couple more IP's which I think were grudge vandals, but my recent contribs is so long and hard for me to find. Although there has been IP's (not sure if it's open proxy or not), but 77.73.10.195, 69.13.198.58, 94.25.128.140, 216.82.251.227, and probably a couple others keep on repeatedly vandalizing the Anaheim Ducks pages and creating Ahaheim Sucks pages. Versus22 (talk) 20:13, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Our Nazi grudge friend varies his "message" somewhat, but otherwise his template vandalism always looks something like this or this. So if you see any edits that look like these, just report them directly to AIV. Thanks, Kralizec! (talk) 20:28, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

semi-protecting your user page due to excessive vandalism? :) — Aitias // discussion 00:58, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

I think you should place an indefinite semi-protection because they're just going to come back and vandalize it. Since I started reverting vandalism a month ago, my user pages have been vandalized a lot, especially when I started using Huggle. Of course, you can set the protection to something different, but that is just my opinion. Versus22 (talk) 01:11, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

No, that's fine with me. Versus22 (talk) 02:29, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Sy Syms School of Business article issues

We have troublemakers at the Sy Syms School of Business article. Users from 129.98.212.166, 129.98.199.237 and 66.65.50.128 are blanking talk pages and removing all references to Bernard Madoff, a notable board member of the institution. Their IP addresses show them coming from the same region of New York City where the school is located. --KJRehberg (talk) 23:02, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Report them to AIV if they received their last warning (and vandalizing of course). Versus22 (talk) 23:05, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my user page. --Captain-tucker (talk) 11:50, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

No problem. It was the second time too (one on each page!) Versus22 (talk) 11:54, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

My bad on the WW2 article

Left the computer unattended. Sorry. Luther Hull (talk) 01:32, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for explaining. I think you should log off your Wiki account every time you leave your computer unattended, to prevent someone else from using it and maybe vandalizing articles (not saying that they do). Versus22 (talk) 01:42, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Unprotected talk

Your talk page

3 things: i cannot post on your so called talk page. do you get paid? or are you just a lonely geek who sits there on wikipedia all day? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurtster5 (talkcontribs) 21:28, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

MTV HD

There is already a page for MTV HD already , both MTV HD Europe and MTVNHD are the same but will differnt names so I redirected it. I refuse to create a account but I am just like any other Wikipedian. Be an adult and apologize, thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.35.116 (talk) 22:17, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

I am very sorry for vandalising wikipedia. It's just that I am a huge devils fan and hate the rangers and Sean Avery. I promise I will not vandalise or disrupt this encyclopedia again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.67.54.35 (talk) 04:11, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
