Thank You

Hello Werldwayd,

I remember you being a helper with the article Alex Gilbert. I have been adding new sources and info for a while now and expanding it as you can see. It has grown dramatically with many new sources. I remember when it was having issues.. for a long time too. Your welcome to ahead and expand and write. Thank You --TheDomain (talk) 09:39, 4 January 2018 (UTC)

  • Hello Werldwayd, Thank You for your help with updating the article. I see you are doing a lot. I think we shouldn't have much on his list of television work as mentioned in his story a lot of this is from his film school years. But not sure. Try not to change it as adoption advocate and production assistant. I think we should try keep it to just the adoption stuff but have a mention of his television. Not sure to have the list of his television work. Not sure. Also not many reliable sources on his television work too, just iMDB. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! --TheDomain (talk) 11:24, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
    • I disagree actually. A Wikipedia page should not be just one selective aspect of somebody's life but a "comprehensive" presentation of what he is and what he does. My interest believe it or not was more in his adaptation process in New Zealand, his life and aspirations of becoming a successful television producer. I would be more fascinated of how he adapted to the new country. For example Where and what did he study. What did he do as a professional? How his brother is doing? I am sure as things go on, he will have to have a professional career and become an accomplished individual with various aspirations. Having said that, this is a cooperative project and anybody can pitch in. If you see his other career being highlighted counter-productive, you can revert anything I have done regarding his other careers. But wouldn't that turn him into this one-dimensional character with no other aspirations in life but to go on and on about being adopted? On a side note, when this article was being nominated for deletion I don't know how many times, I was arguing that Gilbert was not a "one cause" individual but was a diverse multi-talented professional. That was my argument for keeping the article and saving it from deletion. Believe it or not, a diversified level of notable activities reinforces an individual article of being maintained in Wikipedia. werldwayd (talk) 11:36, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
  • I agree with you werldwayd :) Perfect answer. I didn't know that as I understand it's all part of his career so that makes perfect sense! Thank You! --TheDomain (talk) 11:39, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
  • Hello werldwayd. Alex's new book I'm Adopted is due to be released soon. Some people have already read it. He is giving free digital copies out. I have been able to find one here as it's now released on the iBooks store in Japan. See [1] [2] I am thinking of writing a section about the story, or should we wait until it's released (apparently on the 19th) See [3] ? Problem is, it's self published. But alot of notes about his life are there in the story. I expanded some info on the documentary. Thanks werldwayd! --TheDomain (talk) 05:15, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
  • By the way, how do I know people are already reading. He wrote about it on his Twitter. This file I have here. I took it from the iBook. Maybe you might need to remove, but expanding could be possible or a section about the book. Not sure. What you did to expand the article was great. Thanks in advance! werldwayd --TheDomain (talk) 05:21, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
Let's wait for the 19th or 20th to add it. Probably we might need a little bit more until we have a critique of the book from an independent source. No hurry. We are here for the long term. To know the number of readers of the page, open page Alex Gilbert, Press history on top menu, and then press "Page view statistics". You get this https://tools.wmflabs.org/pageviews/?project=en.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&range=latest-20&pages=Alex_Gilbert So average readership is like 20-25 people, with a specila day on January 4 where for some reason 280 people checked the page. werldwayd (talk) 17:26, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

Ok werldwayd. That sounds like a good idea. Your right about any sources as this is self published from what I see on Amazon and iBooks. Otherwise keeping it on the list is fine. And just a simple 'Alex released his second book I'm Adopted on the 19th of January etc.. If we can't find anything. Easy as that. For the long term I understand and of course! Thank You! --TheDomain (talk) 19:08, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

  • Hi werldwayd. The book is now released. See [4] and [5]. I brought an iBooks version in respect to the author. I follow his work and advocacy. Do you suggest that we add some small areas here on the article? Like general personal life information or early life information? Should we wait for an independent source as you suggested? I have read the book and there is some background information about his New Zealand parents that we could add, but would like to know your thoughts. Thanks! --TheDomain (talk) 09:48, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
There are two issues here. The book will need some independent review before creating a paragraph about the book. But the second issue that you raise, sure, the book would be a good source about adding some facts about his family etc. Mention the book and the page you took it from as a reference. werldwayd (talk) 16:12, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
  • werldwayd we are now allowed to do that are we unless it's back up by sources? I have just noted that he has released a new book. We can leave it at that for the time being. Thanks! --TheDomain (talk) 17:05, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Nick Nittoli

Hello, Werldwayd. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Nick Nittoli".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 04:02, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Religions for Peace requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://rfp.org/learn/vision-mission/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The Dualers

My dear friend, I hope you're fine. I'm having difficulty with one persistent editor who repeatedly tries to turn The Dualers page into a gushy, unreferenced fan site full of trivia, anecdote and puffery. Perhaps you could add it to your watchlist and help me to keep it well referenced, neutral and accurate. Thanks very much, and best wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 02:54, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

Sure. I see persistent effort by related-party editors to reintroduce unverified materials over and over again without references. I will surely keep an eye on this. werldwayd (talk) 14:41, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

Yes I was just watching Melodifestivalen and the winning Ingrosso song is such a funky tune. I love Ingrosso's work. Of course I adored Felix Sandman "Every Single Day" which is musically superior song, but Benjamin has the better arrangement, so a bigger chance in Eurovision. File source problem with File:Il-Progresso-Italo-Americano-cover.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Il-Progresso-Italo-Americano-cover.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Jyllands-Posten-30-July-2011.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Jyllands-Posten-30-July-2011.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'm sorry Jerry Williams died. I checked his number song "Did I Tell You" and created a small page for it just today as Did I Tell You (Jerry Williams song). I listened to his song and truly appreciated it. And how interesting this Kevin Case. It really gripped me. I was so sad for the small 4 year old boy who died, such an angel.... yet so sad.... and was fascinated how it effected the two brothers, just boys 5 and 8 who were forced to "confess" for his murder to be proven innocent after 20 years. Just amazing... And all this excitement and great knowledge because of a wonderful project like Wikipedia and because of such dedicated contributors like you are. Just amazed of your energy in offering Swedish subjects to Wikipedia in English. werldwayd (talk) 05:54, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hello Werldwayd, do i have make clean rework for this page because this page created by Kenny htv (talk) anytime includes the List of I Can See Your Voice episodes asap. I gonna move I Can See Your Voice (South Korean TV series) to I Can See Your Voice (South Korean game show) to sync the I Can See Your Voice (Philippine game show). Can i allow to move them? Thanks for your question Makoy Canlas (talk) 15:03, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Yes, I think they should both be in the same format. The reason I named it South Korean TV series though was in accordance with The Voice series whose American version is named in Wikipedia as The Voice (U.S. TV series). My preference is for simplicity though like I Can See Your Voice (South Korea), I Can See Your Voice (Philippines), I Can See Your Voice (Thailand) etc which is short and sweet with the world format and franchise as I Can See Your Voice ... werldwayd (talk) 17:36, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello Werldwayd, thanks for your request i had did it my moved the page from I Can See Your Voice Thailand to I Can See Your Voice (Thai game show) and also moved the page from I Can See Your Voice (South Korean TV series) to I Can See Your Voice (South Korean game show). I am reasoning for moving the page as to simplify the article that fits the genre of ICSYV as (mystery, music, and game show) format. Makoy Canlas (talk) 21:50, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

The article Jihadi (nickname) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

These are all partial matches, so this can't be a dab, and there isn't any notability to justify a name page.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Abdullah Mashhoor Kunhikoya Thangal

Dear friend, I'll be very grateful if you'll please help me keep the Abdullah Mashhoor Kunhikoya Thangal page neutral in tone, well referenced and accurate. One editor, User:Moosathasleem, seems intend on making it a subjective and poorly referenced fan page. Could you please take a look if you have time? Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Asahi-shimbun-sample-page1.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Asahi-shimbun-sample-page1.jpg.

Thank you. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 01:00, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

ITN

The article about Netta that I created is appearing in the ITN section today. As Israel won ESC.BabbaQ (talk) 16:30, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

Congratulations for that. Sweden and Benjamin Ingrosso did extremely well with the jury. I don't know why the public vote wasn't up to it!!! werldwayd (talk) 16:33, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
Yes, that was a bit odd. But anyway that is why the jury is great, they see beyond the flashy and controversial entries and vote for quality. I have read several interviews with Ingrosso today where he states that he is happy and pleased with his performance and result.--BabbaQ (talk) 17:09, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

DYK for Fallet Kevin

On 22 May 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Fallet Kevin, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that 20 years after confessing to the murder of a four-year-old boy, two brothers had all suspicions against them dismissed? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Fallet Kevin. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Fallet Kevin), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello, Werldwayd. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Britton Buchanan, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
