European access block

If you reside in Europe and are perhaps using a VPN to bypass the widespread privacy block active on some US websites, then you are not assessing the validity of the link access correctly. If you are not on a VPN, what a wonderful connection you have. For the rest of us, the link to the SF Chronicle currently in use for Mel Ramos at Deaths in 2018 is certainly blocked in parts of Europe, including here in the UK, and as such needs a "better source". "Moon over Bourbon Street"

Hi – actually I'm not "wrong" to redirect an article unilaterally if I feel it's not notable... Wikipedia works on a principle of WP:BOLD. Of course, you are perfectly entitled to disagree with me and revert my edit, so now we discuss whether the article is notable or not. I still believe it isn't – it was only a minor hit in the UK, and the fact it was inspired by Interview with the Vampire is a WP:INHERITED argument... it doesn't automatically make the song notable just because it was inspired by a notable book. The article doesn't need a disambiguation in its title, because it's the only article on Wikipedia with that name... it should be "Moon over Bourbon Street" but funnily enough that title is already a redirect to the album... clearly I'm not the first person who believes that this song doesn't pass WP:NSONG and should be redirected. I've nothing personal against the song – in fact, along with "Fortress Around Your Heart" it's my favourite track on the album – but I just can't see how it's individually notable. Having looked over it further, I can see that the single's chart position and the fact that Sting played double bass on the song are included in The Dream of the Blue Turtles article, as is the statement that the song was influenced by Interview with the Vampire. We probably don't need the entire quote from Sting, especially when he tells us what the book was about (most people know by now in 2020), but if we added a couple of sentences to the album article along the lines of "'Moon over Bourbon Street' was inspired by the novel Interview with the Vampire, which Sting was given after a concert in New Orleans and read that night while he was staying in the French Quarter. He stated that he was fascinated by the struggle that the character Louis had between his desires and his conscience, knowing that what he was doing was wrong"... would that be an acceptable compromise to then redirect the song article afterwards, knowing that none of the information has been lost? Thank you for your very pleasant responses. The song received less airplay because of its differentiation from the rest of Sting's singles.  It is the composition's uniqueness which helps to render it noteworthy.  I would rather build up the text of the article as per the idiosynchrocies and the tune's later re-recording than rediect it.  Moon Over Bourb8n Streey has the flavor of New Orleans married to jazz and vampires and therein lies its story. I've no intention of getting into an edit war, but if you don't mind I will ask for it to be renamed to its "proper" title as I noted above. I understand what you mean about the jazz influence being unique to this record – The Dream of the Blue Turtles is easily the most jazz-sounding of Sting's records, and the album's article could definitely do with some work as well, but I'm not in a position right now to do much about it.
