About the event[edit]

This event will cover teaching people how to edit Wikipedia, and focus on creating and expanding articles on queer British artists, from Duncan Grant to Dora Carrington.

Wikipedia is usually the first point of call for basic information about anything, and there is a dearth of articles about art on Wikipedia, with queer art in particular needing expansion. Less well-known artists or artworks can be made more discoverable by virtue of their links to other artists or places, so with the enthusiasm and knowledge of Tate staff and visitors, we can increase opportunities for people to discover artists they never knew about and help them access good quality information on those artists.
