October 13[edit]

I'm about to reopen an 'edit' request for suggested changes to MediaWiki:Histlegend as discussed here.

My question concerns modifications to Help:Page history and the 'File:MediaWiki 1.21wmf3 page history screenshot.svg' image there needed to comport with the new design.

Am I correct that the first step is to reopen the edit request for MediaWiki:Histlegend and then to follow that up with changes to the Help:Page history graphic and minor text edits there? Is there someone who can help with changes to the graphic or is that something I should work on? Thx for guidance, Humanengr (talk) 04:33, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Histlegend has been updated; I made text changes to Help:Page history to comport, but don't have access to Inkscape right now to edit the Revision History screenshot and might not for a while. I left a notice on talk there, but if anyone here has the expertise …. :) Thx, Humanengr (talk) 23:14, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ulgoland[edit]

OF COURSE ULGOLAND IS FICTIONAL. DIDN'T YOU CHECK THE REFERENCE?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.235.193.85 (talk) 04:43, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This appears to be about Draft:Ulgoland: The Belgariad and The Malloreon. Please discuss this on that article's talk page. -Arch dude (talk) 05:36, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There was no reference when it was declined [1] for being fictional. And articles should definitely indicate if the subject is fictional. Readers shouldn't have to examine references to discover that. The second decline [2] was not for being fictional but said:
"This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia."
A better (but unsourced) article called Ulgoland has already been deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ulgoland. PrimeHunter (talk) 10:02, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Suspicion that the article double[edit]

It seems to me that these two articles are about the same river. Signed here by Hub River and Hab River https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/71293485#map=13/25.2508/67.1071 These two rivers are located in Sindh. A slight difference in the English spelling could arise from the transliteration of the state-adopted and local regional language or a different transliteration system of the same language. The geographical coordinates of the rivers are very close.--Bohdan Bondar (talk) 08:44, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bohdan Bondar, thanks for pointing that out. I've redirected one of the articles to the one which seems better structured and written. Warmly, Lourdes 14:40, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed You have previously been advised to add files by going to the Commons page and using the pre-formatted link you will find there; "use this file" by the Wikipedia logo — the middle one of the five. Eagleash (talk) 23:19, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
