Pages with the "Copy Edit" banner[edit]

How do I find pages with the "Copy Edit" banner — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:100F:B025:7544:405:E490:ADF4:E60C (talk) 03:27, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding my recent editing about Albert ekka's death location[edit]

Dear Sir/Mam Albert Ekka died in the battle of Hilli to protect Gangasagar Railway Station and also to fight for country against Pakistan forces. This Gangasagar which is 6km away from agartala is now in Bangladesh (erstwhile East Pakistan) and not to be confused with Gangasagar in West bengal.. Kindly look into it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tanujit91 (talkcontribs) 03:46, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, you seem to be apparently right. I've redirected the Gangasagar details mentioned in the said article to Brahmanbaria District, which lists the Gangasagar Railway station in Bangladesh. Lourdes 07:08, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How do I create a page?[edit]

How do I create a new article here?

Golfpecks256 (talk) 04:17, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Golfpecks256: If you have a draft already, you can just "move" it to mainspace. See WP:MOVE for more information, or I can move it for you. If you don't, I suggest you write a draft first. --DannyS712 (talk) 06:26, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Golfpecks256, please read WP:Your first article first. Thanks, Lourdes 06:58, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Foundation for a Humanitarian Based Economy Article[edit]

You should just do the article you are having serious spam communication problems according to your help desk i didnt get a message back and i didnt say anything about this ever again — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8800:E82:2200:9C9:444F:E6E9:6559 (talk) 05:27, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this issue is about Draft:Foundation for a Humanitarian Based Economy, then K.e.coffman and other editors have already given you inputs on why the organization is not notable to be included in Wikipedia. Read their messages carefully and understand why organizations have to qualify on our organization notability guidelines to be included in Wikipedia. Thanks, Lourdes 07:01, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have a question[edit]

Why can't I edit — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elliotpowell (talkcontribs) 16:31, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't ask the same question in different places. You have edited, but your edits were reverted. Try making sensible edits, or discuss your edits on the talk page of the article if you are serious. Dbfirs 16:49, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
... later ... Please stop editing the article and suggest changes on the talk page. Dbfirs 21:27, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This article was moved. This is wrong. Any questions are wellcome.[edit]

https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXoypizjW3WknFiJnKLwHCnL72vedxjQkDDP1mXWo6uco/wiki/Nurgaliev%27s_law.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.14.251.121 (talk) 17:25, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The article was deleted after a discussion. The differential equation is well-known of course, but the claim that it belongs to Nurgaliev is not substantiated. I suppose anyone can add their name to a well-known law, but unless other people use the name for the law, they don't get a Wikipedia article. Dbfirs 17:57, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Some wikipedia articles retrieved via API do not return the wikidata item id[edit]

See for example Paul Niedermann, whose wikidata item is correctly linked, but the relevant query shows no sign of it. See this query about John Wayne for the correct expected value.

Other examples of malfunctioning are Nicolas Ghosn, Thomas Thennatt, Walter Artizala, Giorgio Degola, José Lorenzo Sartori. • REDGOLPE (TALK) 20:12, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You should ask at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical). Ruslik_Zero 20:58, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
None of the examples have been edited since they were added to the Wikidata item, except Walter Artizala which has not been edited since it was moved to the current title. Nicolas Ghosn was fixed by a null edit (a purge had no effect). I have not null edited the others in case somebody wants to examine them. phab:T56882 ("wikibase_item missing for some results of prop=pageprops") was closed in 2015 with the comment: "A null edit should fix this. In this case we can't do much about it and I'll close this. Please reopen if a null edit does not fix it for you." PrimeHunter (talk) 21:10, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Null edits seem to work, thanks for the suggestion. • REDGOLPE (TALK) 21:31, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Help:Cite errors/Cite error ref too many keys[edit]

I don't know to to make or suggest changes.

My comments on the entry for Charles's law are as follows.

Calling the law of Gay-Lussac Charles's law or the law of Charles and Gay-Lussac is an abomination. Charles deserves no credit at all for this law. Charles published nothing. Charles wrote to Gay-Lussac and expressed an opinion. Gay-Lussac made the mistake of mentioning this in a footnote. Gay-Lussac did not credit Charles with a law.

Please read

W.J. Lyons, 1938 Inaccuracies in the textbook discussions of the ordinary gas laws, American Journal of Physics, 6, 256-59.

Please read the entry on Charles in the Dictionary of Scientific Biography

Please read From Watt to Clausius (1970)by Donald L. S. Cardwell. See in particular pp. 130-31. Cardwell is a real historian of thermodynamics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.169.118.179 (talk) 20:51, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

To comment on the content of a specific article we use the talk page of that article, in this instance Talk:Charles's law. Discussion is welcome there, but we never place comments within an article itself, as this might confuse readers: Bhunacat10 (talk), 21:38, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) I've reverted your edits because opinion belongs on the talk pages of the relevant articles. You need to discuss your proposed changes there. Please read WP:Commonname for Wikipedia policy on naming articles. Dbfirs 21:42, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Substitution name "Erg Chigaga" into "Erg Chegaga"[edit]

Hello, I am contributing to the page Erg Chigaga [[1]] having visited this desert in Morocco several times for exploration and fineart photography. In so many places, and moreover the people who live and work there, call and write the name of this Erg "Chegaga". In some guides is written Chigaga, but local people say that this name is not correct. I propose to the members of this Help Desk to Change the name and link of the page from: Erg_Chigaga

to Erg Chegaga

New link should be: Erg Chegaga [[2]]

Of course in the page will be mentioned also the second name (Erg Chigaga) due to the presence and circulation of some mistakes, done in past by some people. In this moment it's the opposite. I have two local maps, painted by nomad people living in M'Hamid el Ghizlane, that confirm this position. A contribution with an image from a previous user, was done using the name "Erg Chegaga" too !

Kind Regards.

The place for discussion is on the article's talk page. What the article desperately needs is references to published reliable sources. --David Biddulph (talk) 21:24, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How to add an internet only radio station?[edit]

Please let me know how to add an internet only radio station to your internet only radio station list? Can anyone help me with this? Thank you

Ron Middag [REDACTED-THEGOODUSER] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:110F:80EE:ACC4:3E8:BAE3:2FC8 (talk) 22:24, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

First, create a Wikipedia article about the station in the usual manner. Once it has been accepted as an article, you can add the article's name to the list and Wikilink it by adding double square brackets. You will notice that this list, like most on Wikipedia, only contains items (in this case stations) that have a Wikipedia article about them and are therefore, by definition, "Notable" in the special sense that Wikipedia uses the term. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.217.251.247 (talk) 22:38, 5 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
