IP editor, I see that you have repeatedly been changing information, and deleting referenced content, at 306 Records without proving references to justify your changes. I have reverted it to its state before you began your destructive edits.

I see that you have written in edit summaries "I am the CEO of this Record label do not change anything or I will sue whoever does" and "Do not change this page or Jared Land will sue you." These are clear legal threats, which are likely to get you banned from editing Wikipedia.

If you are in fact connected with 306 Records, you have a conflict of interest, and should not edit the article at all. Instead, you should write on its talk page, detailing your recommended changes, and providing references to support them. Maproom (talk) 07:47, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

I see that a week ago, JalenFolf Proposed the article's talk page for deletion. I suspect that was a mistake. It was the article he ProDded, and the ProD was removed. Maproom (talk) 08:09, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

• OP notified about WP:NLT and reminded about WP:COI. And oh look, the article has been nominated for deletion. Maybe if OP hadn't acted all possessive and drawn attention to the article by starting this thread, maybe the article would have gone unnoticed. If he hadn't said stuff like "‎DO NOT CHANGE I AM THE CEO OF THIS RECORD COMPANY", I probably would have decided to do something else instead of confirming that the article is ready for deletion. Duplication

I've noticed that Talk:Twelve Minor Prophets links to a series of pages for each prophet called "Book of xxx" (E.g. "Book of Habbakuk") but that there are also Wikipedia pages with similar content headed "xxx" (e.g. "Habbakuk). The Book of Habakkuk article is about the book; the Habakkuk article is about the man. As it says in the article, "Almost nothing is known about Habakkuk, aside from what few facts are stated within the book of the Bible bearing his name" so some duplication is inevitable. Nevertheless the two subjects are quite distinct, so I don't see a major problem here.--Shantavira|^{feed me} 11:54, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

Hello, PB1950. If you think that, for example, the articles Hosea and Book of Hosea should be merged, the thing to do is to propose it on the talk page of one of the two articles (and put a note on the other one directing to the discusion): see Help:Merge. However, I note at Talk:Book of Hosea#Undesirable merge a rather cryptic reference to an already existing discussion (though I don't know where that is). Perhaps a good place to discuss it, and possibly find previous discussions (though I couldn't) is at WP:WikiProject Bible. --ColinFine (talk) 12:07, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

Use of Google Earth Images

What is the policy on the use of Google Earth images, i.e. the latest. This has probably been asked more than a few times but I thought I'd ask. I would like to use it to illustrate loch and glen article in Scotland and elsewhere. Certainly i've never seen it used anywhere. scope_creep^Talk 12:42, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

Google Earth images have a restriction on commercial use https://www.google.com/permissions/geoguidelines/ so they are not really allowed on wikipedia where images should be fee for anybody to use. MilborneOne (talk) 16:14, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

CAT TOEBEANS'S QUESTION ABOUT ACCOUNTS

When you log in anonymously, you get referred to by the IP address that you happen to be using at that time. Nobody else can be using the same IP address at the same time - the Internet breaks if anybody tries that. But for many kinds of connection, every time you connect to the Internet you might get a different IP address, and somebody else might get given the IP address you were using before. This is one of the reasons why Wikipedia encourages you to create an account with your own username.

When somebody anonymous does something disruptive (such as vandalism), then editors and bots who detect the vandalism may put a messge on the IP's user talk page, because there is nowhere else to put it. If the same person edit Wikipedia again on the same IP address, then they will see the message. But if you, later, happen to connect anonymously using that IP address that got warned, you can ignore the messages, because they don't relate to you. When you login to an account, then your IP address is irrelevant: nobody can even see it under normal circumstances. --ColinFine (talk) 15:50, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

@Cat Toebeans: An account does not have an IP address. If you log in you are using your account. If you do not log in, you are using te IP address of the computer you are currently using. ​See WP:ROOMMATE, if the other person gets banned for vandalism you might temporarily be unable to edit because you'd get snared in the autoblock, but this is usually not something you need to worry about. Just don't let your friend convince you to join him in a dispute. YobojoYT A "wiki" is a type of website, of which Wikipedia is one. If you want to create a Wikipedia article, please read Your First Article, but be advised that it is more challenging than most people realize. You would be better off spending time editing existing articles first, to get a feel for how Wikipedia operates. Skins/6th millionth article

Hello, I have two questions: The first question is that I'm thinking about changing the skin to make my Wikipedia experience better. Should I keep using Vector or change it? The second question is that I'm just curious about when to expect the 6th millionth article to come into existence on Wikipedia. Thanks in advance and ping me in your responses please. Euclid

Hey there,

I was wondering if you kindly update all history and formulas of Euclid because i really admire him and really needs to know. Because through all the source i have he was name as Eulid Alexandria.I really want to gain more understanding on why the phrase *Euclid Alexandria*

Euclid is the best Greek mathematician who proves Pythagoras.

I think "original poster", I think it refers to the person who posted the question (210.7.3.198). See Wikipedia:Wikipedia_abbreviations#O where it says "OP - Original post, or original poster. The first comment starting a discussion, or the author of that comment." OkayKenji ^{(talk page)} 21:51, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
