Article for deletion doesn't shop up[edit]

I've nominated List of female chefs with Michelin stars for deletion, after suggesting it in the talk page for a year, notified the mail editor and added a tag to the page. However, it doesn's show up Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Log/2019_October_11 or here. Did i do something wrong? Should i manually add it? PizzaMan ♨♨♨ 10:45, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User:PizzaMan, you should read Wikipedia:Articles for deletion to understand the process, the process for nominating an article is at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion#How_to_nominate_a_single_page_for_deletion. Proposed deletion (PROD) is only for uncontroversial requests and can be blocked by removing the template, which has already been done in this case. Number of contributions[edit]

I would like to put the number of contributions I have on Wikipedia without having to manually update it myself on my user page. Is there a template that automatically updates the number of contributions I have on Wikipedia? Interstellarity (talk) 13:22, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There is no as far as I know but you can use User:PleaseStand/userinfo.js script to see the information about yourself and other users. Ruslik_Zero 13:44, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Interstellarity: There are several userboxes at Category:Wikipedia_editing-related_user_templates, but the ones I checked each require you to provide the edit count. But, there are lots. Table seems to misformatted[edit]

@PrimeHunter: Sorry I should have explained earlier, I was not logged in when I fixed the main issue about what Villagethings is talking about (I forgot to log in when If fixed the issue and did not come back to the Help Desk to explain that I did fix the issue). There were <div> tags before and after the weather box, causing it to overlap with the infobox making the text illegible. If you go back to this diff and zoom in or view on a screen with a narrow screen you will see that the weather box and info box overlap in a weird way. Thanks for properly fixing the issue. I created a page Pinehouse Photography Club and it was put up for deletion because no notable sources and COI. Article should have been saved as a draft first before publishing it. Hence many edit made to complete it but same objection remains from initial editor who voted it for deletion. All content references to notable national newspapers, documentaries, and authors. I've checked the first eight references cited in your draft:

No. 1 gives a 404 message.
Nos. 2 & 3 do not mention the subject.
Nos. 4, 5 & 8 are based on interviews with the founder of the club, and so are not independent and do not help to establish notability.
No. 6 & 7 are based on statements by members of the club, ditto.

When a reviewer is checking whether the citations establish that the subject is notable, they are only interested in reliable independent published sources. Citations like the ones I have checked do nothing to help establish notability. Maybe there are some good sources there that I haven't checked; but flooding the references list with worthless sources does nothing to help your cause, and makes any reviewer's task harder. Namespace numbers[edit]

Not really a question about editing wikipedia, but is there a meaning behind the namespace numbers? Main to Category seem to make sense, and it is stated that nonstandard namespaces are numbered in the hundreds, so portal, book, and draft kind of make sense, but why do timedtext, module, education program and gadget have such large numbers? I assume there aren't 1151 other namespaces not used here.

Admittedly I've no idea how mediawiki works, so this might be obvious to someone who does.

There's no meaning apart from content pages needing to have an even number and talk pages needing to have the subsequent odd number. You just choose a fairly random number that other extensions aren't using. – Thjarkur (talk) 22:27, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My page was deleted?[edit]

I have had my page Kanwal Toor up for 20 years now! And it was all of a sudden deleted 2 weeks ago? Bizarre!

10 years, not 20. And articles that do not meet the standards we've had that long but were missed are not grandfathered in once they are noticed.

It's not "your" page. It's Wikipedia's page about Toor. No individual owns anything here.

Per this deletion discussion, there were not enough independent professionally-published mainstream sources that were specifically about Toor to demonstrate notability.
