Disambiguation needed

Article edited by mistake

I was reading work (physics) article of Wikipedia and by mistake the edit button clicked and some words deleted I don't know how to exit from it I clicked button and changes got saved. How to publish an article

Hi there! I'd like to publish this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Artur_Aleksanyan,_Artyusha I saw that until I don't have an access to publish it by myself, I need to add a code and the publication will be discussed with the other users. You have added a tag requesting that Draft:Artur Aleksanyan, Artyusha be moved to article space. What you should have done is request that it be reviewed. But it will certainly be declined if reviewed, as it fails to supply any evidence (in the form of references to reliable independent sources that discuss him) that Aleksanyan is notable.

What is the urgency? Wikipedia has no deadline.

What is the ", Artyusha" appended to the title? Is it part of his name? Or an honorific? It needs explanation, and probably, removal from the title. Maproom (talk) 09:51, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello, Zenzes, and welcome to the Teahouse. No: most articles are not protected, and anybody can edit them. Most articles which have some protection are only semi-protected, and once you have had your account four full days and made at least ten edits, you will be able to edit them directly. Articles usually get protected when either they have been subject to a high level of vandalism, or they are contentious subjects. If an article you want to make changes to is a contentious one, it is probably a good idea to discuss it on the talk page first anyway; but otherwise you can apply your edits directly. Of course, another editor might disagree with an edit, and revert it; then you can have a discussion: see BRD. --ColinFine (talk) 16:16, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Converting eighteenth-century English "pounds" to modern money

In an article I created on Archibald Spencer I say, Spencer's charge for attending his course was expensive, £6, but was popular nevertheless. What would 6 pounds sterling be in modern money in the states? Is there a conversion template I could use? --Doug Coldwell (talk) 13:31, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

{{Inflation}} can do some of this: £6 in 1743, equivalent to £1,063 in 2021, but that template's documentation says there is no template for conversion between currencies. -- John of Reading (talk) 13:42, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

@SenatorLEVI:  Done. In this case I decided to use the |thumb option, rather than using a static image size, because this allows the server (respectively, the browser) resize the image to not overflow the viewport on mobile devices with tiny viewport widths. Gary Webb did not ‘commit’ suicide. He died by or from suicide. You commit fraud, murder, etc. One dies by or from suicide, that is the correct terminology. I agree it is debatable, AlanM1. I took a look at the Cambridge dictionary, which points out [the phrase] "is now considered offensive because it suggests that doing this is a crime". Since the article in question had the words "died by" everywhere else except the lead, I didn't think it was unreasonable to make the alteration in this case.  Not done The statements appear backed up by a reliable source. The source is in French, so I am not certain of this. If you can show that the source does not confirm the assertions in the article, then make your request again, but do it on the article's talk page and explicitly state that the source does not support these assertions, and add {{request edit}} there. Editing a template

I noticed that {{Non-free_Microsoft_screenshot}} has a typo. It says "the following four requirements" but then only lists three. I have never edited a template before. Is it as simple as clicking the "edit" button and changing the text? The template talk page has no messages since 2015, so asking here. RudolfRed (talk) 23:23, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

​I had a look at the external link on that page which is linked to from "Requirements for allowed uses" (here), and that webpage does have four requirements - the one missing from the template is 'You must include the following statement: "Used with permission from Microsoft."' The template never seems to have actually included that fourth requirement, so I'm not sure what's going on there? Seagull123 Φ 23:30, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
