@Ramanasunkara1986: There are some links which may help you when it comes to article creation included in the messages at your talk page. More specific links are the guide to article creation and a useful guide found here created by an experienced editor. Eagleash (talk) 13:05, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

berkely public library[edit]

I have found a small error in your description of the library. In your "history" section, it is listed as opening / relocating to the kittredge location in 1934. The year was 1930 and the opening was in 1931. It is listed correctly in the side / detail section but not in the main text. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:C7:4200:8952:444E:D974:DE41:FB2E (talk) 12:50, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Courtesy link Berkeley Public Library. I'm looking at it now. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 18:27, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
My research shows that the previous building at the site was demolished in 1930, and the new building designed in 1930. Construction started in 1931 and was completed in 1934. This will require multiple sources to piece together. Moving to talk page. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 19:16, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do these stand-alone lists comply with Wikipedia guidelines?[edit]

This might not be the best place to ask but since no one in Editor assistance replies, do the stand-alone lists in Category:Lists of political office-holders by age comply with Wikipedia:Notability#Stand-alone lists and WP:INDISCRIMINATE guidelines? Is Wikiprofessionais.Inc a legitimate company, and do work in cooperation with it?[edit]

Please answer me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.29.216.9 (talk) 14:10, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If it involves a company that does paid editing, presume, by default, that it's illegitimate. We have little tolerance for disclosed paid editing and absolutely none for those who try to hide their business on Wikipedia. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Takes a strong man to deny... 14:39, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I take no stance about its legitimacy, but they definitely do not work in cooperation with Wikipedia. As User:Jéské Couriano wrote above, Wikipedia has little to no tolerance for paid editing. It's best you have no business with Wikiprofessionals.inc. JIP | Talk 15:20, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This is probably about Wikiprofessionals Inc. I see that they have testimonials from happy customers. It's tempting to sabotage their articles, but I shall restrain myself. Maproom (talk) 15:21, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Maproom Probably all of their "reviews" are fake anyway. Lots of these companies have "reviews" on "work they've done", but if you actually check article histories, they've been created by respectable, non-paid editors. Their reviews are as fake as their adherence to the paid editing policy. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:29, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Maproom, Joseph2302, and JIP: See also WP:WIKIPRO. That company is site-banned from the english Wikipedia. Victor Schmidt (talk) 16:01, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
https://wikiprofessionalsinc.com/ethics/ this is quite an interesting page. It's pretty obvious it doesn't work with us, and the website is part of the blacklist. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 11:13, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Need help with sublists, in navbox[edit]

I am trying to modify a navbox, so that I can create sub-lists and subheadings under a larger heading. the model for the navbox that i want to create is Template:United States Armed Forces. the navbox that I am working on is Template: 2020s in political history.

I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I can't get any parent/child lists to be set up. could someone please go there, and set up the list for "Americas" to have two sub-lists? One would be the existing list there, for issues. I want to set up a new sub-list there, for govt bodies and overviews. you can use a sandbox to do so, if you wish; it's up to you. thanks!! please ping me when you reply. thanks!! --Sm8900 (talk) 14:45, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Sm8900: Replace your current group2, list2 with this.

| group2 = Americas
| list2      = <!-- This closes the sub group template-->
Should do what you want. - X201 (talk) 16:17, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
thanks! that is very helpful. i will give that a try. thanks. --Sm8900 (talk) 16:31, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Selected Poems 2011[edit]

Help: I wanted to delete Selected Poems 2011, but wound up with an error message about no content between . I am the author, Susan Ioannou.Susanio (talk) 19:28, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Susanio: First, as the subject of the article you are editing, I strongly discourage you from directly editing it onwards, as an uninvolved editor has noted on the page and stick to edit requests. It appears Theroadislong has fixed it for you already. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 19:39, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How to check on the progress of a new article submission[edit]

Hello,

I submitted an article a month ago, and I was wondering how I could check and ensure that I properly submitted my new article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vegasshines (talkcontribs) 21:13, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vegasshines. If this is about User:Vegasshines/sandbox, I have added a button at the top of the sandbox, which you can use to submit it when you believe it is ready for review. —teb728 t c 22:20, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
