Wikipedia:Wikipedia Takes Nueva Caceres

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PhilWiki Community and Sumaro Bikolnon Inc. will collaborate to hold Wikipedia Takes Nueva Caceres in the future. The activity is a photography walk inspired by Wikipedia Takes the City to focus in the old district of Nueva Caceres in the City of Naga and old settlements under the diocese of Caceres including but not limited to Camaligan, Milaor, Canaman, Magarao, Bombon and Quipayo in Calabanga, Camarines Sur. The objective of the activity is to document the existing structures built during the Spanish colonization including churches, houses among others. The activity can be incorporated with the cultural walk project called Lakaw Naga of Nueva Caceres Heritage Movement.

Earlier this year, PhilWiki Community along with Sumaro Bikolnon Inc., Nueva Caceres Heritage Movement and other organizations successfully organized Wikipedia Takes Rinconada. In 2012, Wikipedia Takes Naga was conducted within the downtown Naga. It was organized by Filipino Wikipedians in the Bicol region and Wikimedia Philippines, the Philippine local chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation in collaboration with Ateneo de Naga University and Parasurat Bikolnon Inc. and in cooperation with the City Government of Naga.
