I'm not seeing anything in the cited sources that clearly differentiates Israeli pita from any other kind of pita. I wasn't able to access Israeli Soul by Solomonov (and without page numbers, the citations are less than useful even if I did have a copy available), but I'm skeptical of how reliable it would be as a source for such a claim (assuming that it even makes this claim). This kind of pita is all over Arab countries and even in turkey[edit]

You can find this specific type of pita in every traditional bakery in jordan or Palestine, not to mention Iraq, turkey and egypt.
