Roster

Where is the roster from?Freebird Jackson 01:17, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Where do they have a list of the roster?Freebird Jackson 21:29, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
The roster is from the interview and screenshots that IGN have provided. Also, Chris Benoit was announced by Nintendo (for Wii at least). Socby19 00:42, 16 April 2007 (UTC)Socby19

No. Sources from PWInsdier have confirmed since then that WWE have ordered them to remove Chris Benoit from the final game. This has set back production, but does appear to be a fact. This article is still as much of a mish-mash of speculation, wild guesses, fan-theories related to what they WANT to be in, and unverified speculation as it ever was. Someone really needs to take charge and delete a good measure of all this ridiculous hearsay. As it is, this whole article is VERY misleading. CM Punk and Kevin Thorn are still listed, even while they have not been confirmed, and for the reasons I stated in the paragraph above, "The Feed"'s comment was taken way out of context and dosn't prove or confirm anything and yet it's still listed in the article? Why? Shouldn't that have been deleted by now?

Randy Orton is in the game. He was featured in a video from IGN (fighting Kane). Thus he should be on the roster page. 168.122.209.66 03:58, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

If a wrestler wrestled at wrestlemania this year even in the dark match, then they are definitely gonna be on Smackdown vs. Raw 2008. It's been that way with every WWE Smackdown vs. Raw game that came out.
We'll just wait until it plays out. See Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a crystal ballSocby19 20:06, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Socby19

Protection

This page really shouldn't be protected because there will be more details about the game in the future, like more people added to the game, more songs added to the soundtrack, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.247.21.61 (talk) 23:25, June 28, 2007

Actually, if you look at the past of this article, it should. When 'more details' are released, dignified users can add them in. It's not fully protected, only semi-protected, which means that users that have been registered for at least four days can edit it. The reason it's protected is that every time that it's protection expires, blatant IPs come along and vandalize to no end (or at least until protection is re-enabled). The aforementioned IPs usually add people that haven't worked for WWE for more than five years, and don't maintain contact with the company, or even work for TNA. Other examples of 'blatant vandalising' are the addition of stables that existed with WCW and haven't been brought back since. You'll see what I mean sooner or later. I see what you mean now. I'm just not that experienced at editing on this website. C4pt4in W1k1

Ashley

Is Ashley really in the game. Where does it say she is? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gustavo Masis-Flores (talkcontribs) 19:51, 8 April 2007 (UTC).

She says she's in 2008 in this video http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?id=1556230&vid=142507 @ the 2:46 mark. Also, as she saying it, they show a clip from the game of what appears to be Ashley and Mickie James on the ramp. So if anyone can tell for sure that it's Mickie James, someone should add her to the list.76.21.249.103 15:32, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
That Mickie James video you're referring to is from the 2007 version. Socby19 20:05, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Socby19

In the interview from the website above, Ashley said herself that she was in the game. Also, the interviewer said that she was in the game.76.110.82.251 19:07, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

ECW Invasion

The THQ Wii section is the only one to have "ECW Invasion" as a feature, the other consoles being "ECW Presence". Wii= http://www.thq.com/games/gameinfo.php?id=1273&upc=30128 PS3= http://www.thq.com/games/gameinfo.php?id=1273&upc=99023 Socby19 22:08, 2 July 2007 (UTC)Socby19

Perhaps, but they are still described the same. I'm guessing its just because the Wii has different control methods they've given it a slight difference.--82.40.223.98 20:38, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Maria Kanellis

Is the lovely diva, Maria Kanellis in the game???

Referee section needed

I am not familiar with which referee is which, nor do I know many names. If somebody could go through the videos and add them to this article. I have requested that 3bulletproof16 either do this supervise this. Socby19 20:08, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Socby19

In my opinion, the referees usually aren't notable in wrestling games. I don't see this being an exception to that. RobJ1981 06:56, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, the SvR '07 version has the referees listed under non-playable characters. Since we're not sure of their 'playable status', we should just list them for now. Socby19 15:40, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Socby19
THATS A GOOD IDEA, AND IF YOU NOTICE, THE REFEREES ARE MIKE CHIODA, AND PROBABLY CHAD PATTON.

The referees in the game are Mike Chioda(Raw), Nick Patrick(Smackdown), and the ECW referee is unkown currently. This is from this source: http://www.code-x.ws/svr08/confirmedroster.html--Tqwerty 00:52, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Trish Stratus

I don't consider Divas who recently retired from WWE as legendary yet. That sign in the crowd, last year, was in the miscellaneous section, intended for CAWs if you don't really care about signs. Joey368 16:10, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

I agree, that screenshot proves nothing. THQ/Yukes re-uses a lot of content from past games. So it wouldn't surprise me one bit if a Trish Stratus sign is left in.

As of June 28, Candice and Melina is OR

WrestlingRevealed.com isn't a reputable and/or established news and/or video games site. (Examples of reputable/established sites: CNN, Fox News, NBC, Associated Press, IGN, GameInformer, GameSpot). It's mainly part of the Internet wrestling community, and considered by some to be a 'wretling dirtsheet'. Besides, that page looks like it may have obtained that roster from Wikipedia, as it looks familiar to an earlier version of this article. My establishing point is that it seems to be original research. JBL, Michael Cole, and Jerry Lawler were confirmed on April 2nd by GameDaily, and they were only added by me the other day. And, from day one, THQ stated that PS3 and Xbox 360 would be a supported platform, which also isn't mentioned on the link above. Socby19 06:18, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Socby19

Ahhhhhhhhhhh! That sucks, well sorry. The site also said that Candice beat Melina for the women's title under their ECW show. So I guess it is inaccurte. Candicesfan

Another good point is that today, they said according to advertisements, that Sandman was confirmed. What they didn't do is cite or link any of the ads that they 'mentioned'. Socby19 23:57, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Socby19
