WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!!!

If you fully protected this page ADMIN!! then get to FIXING this article by CLEANING OUT!!! the fake roster ADDITIONS!! Fresh Prince Carlton 15:00, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Right I tried to delete the fake roster but the page had no edit the page so I cant take the fake roster that includes released superstarsn and also wrong like JHONNY NITRO AND THE GREAT KAHLI on RAW. Anormalwwefan 16:49, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't think being released from WWE determines whether or not you get in a game. People get released every year and taking them out would just cause more problems within the game. The only exceptions would be a situation like Benoit's.. 76.21.249.103 22:15, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Yea some1 fully locked the page and now the admin's are to lazy to turn it back to semi-protection(there was no full protection on last years article) or fix the FUCKING PAGE!!!

yea

I agree, Trish Stratus is not in the game, she retired in September, long time ago, doubt they will have her unless as a legend. And they will by now put booker as king booker not booker t

{{editprotected}} please revert to the following version: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=WWE_SmackDown_vs._Raw_2008&oldid=148110011 Thank you. Socby19 03:19, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Reverting to that version is a major modification to the article. Additionally, it would revert a lot of legitimate edits. If there are specific changes that you feel should be made, please list them below with sources and feel free to re-enable the editprotected request. Cheers. --MZMcBride 13:40, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
How about you go to ign and look at the confirmed roster and the 1 confirmed diva and delete the rest. beccause most of the roster is FAKE!!! Fresh Prince Carlton 16:06, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

This roster is clearly fake so can someone please remove it and consider blocking editing until the real roster is released on a reliable source such as IGN. User:Dangelo82 17:49, 2 August 2008

Look at that MORE ppl are agreeing with me. plz stop being lazy admins and fix the roster Fresh Prince Carlton 17:44, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

{{editprotected}} please revert to the following version: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=WWE_SmackDown_vs._Raw_2008&oldid=147836813 Those 'legitimate edits' are part of a mass vandalism and don't have citations. All names in the above edit have been cited. Edits past this mark removed the Chris Benoit notice, which is important. Edge, HBK, Snitsky, Cor Von, and Batista have been confirmed for the mobile version, so they are to stay. CM Punk and Kevin Thorn can be removed. The names that are left, that haven't been confirmed by IGN, they have been brought up in interviews and not declined. Thank you. Socby19 19:49, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Done. Also, please be civil; no one likes to be called lazy. --MZMcBride 21:00, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Finally (sighs)...fixed. Thank You this is greatly appreciated! :) Fresh Prince Carlton 22:36, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

WHO DELETED THE ROSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

27 Superstars

How the hell is there 27 superstars in the article if only 17 have been officialy confirmed?

More Superstars confirmed?

Cover's caption

{{editprotected}} Please change the caption of the cover to reflect that it is for Xbox 360 and not Playstation 2. Please remove this request when finished. Thank you. Socby19 23:15, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

The current image is for PlayStation2; it says so at the top of the image.

--MZMcBride 16:08, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

At the time of my request, I thought it was an Xbox 360 cover. Must have been some other website. Socby19 18:39, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

{{editprotected}} New caption : "NTSC boxart for the PlayStation 2 version, featuring (left to right) John Cena, The Undertaker, and Bobby Lashley." Socby19 19:06, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Done. Cheers. --MZMcBride 20:09, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

{{editprotected}} Sorry to make it change again, but as I explained on the subject below this one, the art that's uploaded is an early version. So, if you could make a slight modification to the cover that would be great. "Early box art for the NTSC Playstation 2... and Bobby Lashley" (Franklin redirects to Bobby) Thanks Socby19 03:09, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Pretty sure thats the final cover art though. All game sites have it up now. -- bulletproof 3:16 03:23, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm aware that the one Wikipedia has is the one. All the games sites, as well as smackdownvsraw.com has it, but we should still call it an early version as the ERSB rating, nor the Online notification (where applicable) is not yet included. Socby19 03:27, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Done. Cheers. --MZMcBride 14:00, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

No Online mode for Wii version?

http://gonintendo.com/?p=22310

An online game for a Nintnedo system usually has a blue "Nintendo WiFi" logo on it. But this isn't the final boxart, so perhaps they didn't implement it in yet. Joey368 23:29, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

That is the final cover art. It is confirmed by Gamespot(look at website) Fresh Prince Carlton 16:20, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Actually, it's unlikely as there is no ERSB rating on the cover (to me RP doesn't count since it hasn't been established, and besides, the official website lists it as T for Teen). Another thing to point out is that the PS2 cover listed in the article doesn't have the PS2 online box. There's almost no reason they would ditch online now (as the original, '06, and '07 had it), so my guess is that they're still testing online functionality, and when it has been confirmed as a 'working process', it'll get the online stamp for its respective console. One thing to point out is that some fan-made covers for this version used the PS3 seal towards the left (as it always is) and the PS2 online box towards the bottom (which for non-owners, PS3 games won't have, it will just say 'online compatible', or something along the lines under supported features. The first official WWE/ECW game

I'm just pointing out that even though this will be the first game in the series to feature an ECW roster, the first game ever to feature anything in for ECW was Smackdown!vs Raw 06 because the ECW One Night Stand pay per view was there and the same for the 2007 version. Any options whether this or Smackdown vs Raw 06 is the official game to introduce ECW? 9:51, 3 August 2007 RealTNAFan

By your logic, the first WWE game to feature ECW was SmackDown! Just Bring It or Shut Your Mouth.-- bulletproof 3:16 02:00, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Go into fighting styles

Should we create a sub-title for each of the fighting styles (eg: power house, showman ect.) and describe what they do, as they do on the srv2008 trailer on www.svr2008.com. I know it is listed in the New features sub-title, but shouldn't we expand this? Dingyv03 07:32, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

That would make things a little messy. We don't really need excessive gameplay details anyway - that is something out of the scope for Wikipedia. It's more along with lines of a dedicated gaming page. --Jtalledo (talk) 11:03, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Game Engine

Does anyone know the name of the game engine (i.e., middleware) used in the development of SmackDown vs. Raw 2008? Is it third-party or in-house? Aeonassoc 15:45, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Doesn't Daemonware do that or do they do something different? Ragaja 09:44, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

It's DemonWare and it does the online engine NOT the games engine. When you go online with PS2 (not used in 360 version) it shows the DemonWare symbol in the upper-right corner of the screen. Fresh Prince Carlton 21:00, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

WIKIPEDIA,A RELIABLE SOURCE OR NOT??

People from caws.wssay this site isn't reliable because anyone can edit it,my question is....is this site reliable??

We try to keep Wikipedia as reliable as possible. There are people watching almost every article here, reverting incorrect information. Gavyn Sykes 20:39, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

As long as the items are cited, it's as reliable as reliability can get. The site caws.ws doesn't even list what their real sources are. I would love to see where they say this. You'll notice that most of the roster is obtained from the current Wikipedia artice (the cited ones). The only errors that they have (at least according to Wikipedia) are Chris Benoit and Shane McMahon. Socby19 22:29, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Dom10194rules 07:28, 16 August 2007, Can the people who blocked users from editing Smackdown vs Raw 2008 Roster please unblock it and allow people to add or edit the page, this will be helpful because people can show other users their roster and can make comments.Dom10194rules 07:28, 16 August 2007

So you actually think they will unblock it just so you can vandalise it?Wrestlinglover420 15:13, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Cover is confirmed by IGN

http://wii.ign.com/objects/882/882475.html look at the right side of the page and it is there. Fresh Prince Carlton 15:02, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Admin listen up

Please put someone who actually visits this page in charge of it because it's getting beyond a joke with people having to actually request an update.

7 more superstars added!!

Can anyone update this article?? I mean at least weekly? IGN has announce 7 new superstars: Carlito, Elijah Burke, CM Punk, Tommy Dreamer, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, and Mr. Kennedy. Here is the following link: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/813/813022p1.html thankyou! 75.8.39.150 18:51, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

{{editprotected}} Please add the seven names as mentioned above. And after each name, use the following url as a source: ps3.ign.com/articles/812/812999p1.html Those names that are already listed, replace their source with the IGN url. Socby19 19:40, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Fixed it myself. Socby19 01:46, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

SummerSlam 2007 Theme in the Game?

I was reading an article and it stated that the official SummerSlam 2007 theme song, "Whine Up" by Kat DeLuna, will be apart of the soundtrack for the game. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Please remove those divas

Those Divas on the page are not even confirmed. Can you please remove them. ThanksFresh Prince Carlton 15:11, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Article Ruined

i cant believe they unlock the article and now its all screwed up again. wheres the roster?,where did new years revoliton come from? Anormalwwefan 16:57, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

We Need this artice fixed that how it was on August 16, 2007 Braandpantiesmatch

Yes someone added divas and it should be reverted to where divas were not added but the newly confirmed superstars were. Fresh Prince Carlton 17:54, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

yea we can but its going to be hard to put all the roster with their references back on.Anormalwwefan 18:24, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Completely repaired to the best of my ability. Fix more if needed, say anything unconfirmed or anything new. Mods please lock completely and when edits are needed, and there are reliable source, please do so immediately. Fresh Prince Carlton 18:51, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

I have been asked by KTsuka to revert back to this version: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=WWE_SmackDown_vs._Raw_2008&oldid=151737407] This version was last edited by myself to even out the columns and remove the extra Tommy Dreamer (made over two edits) from the following version: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=WWE_SmackDown_vs._Raw_2008&oldid=151735747] If anyone objects, please revert back to it, or let me know. Thanks. Socby19 19:16, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

If it has not already been done, I am requesting that full protection be enabled until September 2nd. According to IGN, the full roster will be revealed on svr2008.com/smackdownvsraw.com (same page) on September 3rd. If anybody has any requests to be made, instead of complaining how admins need to pay attention and check the page every so often, the proper way is to add {{editprotected}} to the talk page and explain what changes need to be made. Then, the talk page will be added to Category:Wikipedia protected edit requests. That is where some admins check frequently to see what pages need changes. Socby19 19:31, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

It was fine after i fixed it why did you mess with it. Anyways, the whole roster will be revealed on IGN not the svr2008.com website. Fresh Prince Carlton 20:42, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Actually, after you fixed it, there were a few more nonsense edits. Then, I had logged in and found the request to revert to my version. And, yes and no, IGN will probably have the roster. But, svr2008.com will also have it as the site has a "roster tab" that, for now, reads 'coming soon'. Socby19 20:46, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Well it will take a couple of days for them to add the roster to the svr2008 website. Usually IGN gets the roster first and it takes a little while to go on the svr2008 website. Thanks you for fixing the article and i hope it is locked until the roster comes out. Then I hope an admin unlocks it so people can add new info and roster, or what I would think is smart just have an admin add the new info (I dont know if your and admin Scoby19) but thy should after a request add it immediately. Thank you!!!! Fresh Prince Carlton 01:05, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
