Speedy deletion of "Grand Venus Mall"

A page you created, Grand Venus Mall, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it redirects from an implausible misspelling.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Phearson (talk) 17:42, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Help needed

Please look into Sharad Kumar Dixit. I have created the article but am unsure if all the details that i have entered there are correct. Used many unreliable sources. Help me out in verying/improving it please. And add many references if you can. Could you tell me other Indian users whom I can contact? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scbs 2007 (talkcontribs) 18:23, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

It looks like copy pasted from different sources. You can't do that. --Anbu121 (talk me) 18:36, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

That's why i asked for your help. There are not a lot of articles on this person. the few that are present have redundant data. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scbs 2007 (talkcontribs) 20:18, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Right now, don't I don't have enough time except for putting the copyright tag on the article. Post on the talk page of the article the list of sources from where you copy pasted. Let me see if I can do some copy editing. By the way, if you copy paste again, you could be blocked. --Anbu121 (talk me) 20:34, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

/:) Ok! Don't need you to look into it. Thanks anyways! Scbs_2007 (talk)

Being for more than a year here and having contributed constructively, I thought you would be aware of copyright policies of Wikipedia. Your first reply appeared very sarcastic to me. Read this (Wikipedia:Copyright violations) if you are not aware of it till now and try to remove the copy-pasted content yourself. --Anbu121 (talk me) 21:57, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Ever come across this: Wikipedia:Civility There was absolutely no need of retorting in the way you did! \:) Let's end it here! PEACE!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scbs 2007 (talkcontribs) 22:24, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

I was right. You do know about all the policies and guidelines here and still you have chosen to copy paste and call others to clean up your mess. Initially I thought of dropping a warning template for copyright on your talk page, but you would have already known that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. --Anbu121 (talk me) 04:30, 3 November 2012 (UTC)

Jonfoerster

Hi there. I'm glad this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akash_Maharaj) was deleted, but do you have any idea why the first line of the pre-deleted page ("Akash Maharaj is a former Yale student whose acceptance was rescinded...") still shows up in google search and why the whole page can be easily viewed in cache? Is there a way to delete that too? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonfoerster (talkcontribs) 09:33, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

I guess it takes one or two days for google to refresh its cache. But, I am not very sure about it. Try asking it in the Help Desk --Anbu121 (talk me) 09:38, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Yes I deleted White Terror. It is hopelessly biased propaganda and an editor claims possession and refused incremental improvement. Best to delete it and start again. cwmacdougall 21:29, 5 November 2012

If talk page discussions doesn't lead to a consensus, you can take it to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard --Anbu121 (talk me) 20:34, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for the suggestion. I have now filed a complaint on the Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard. cwmacdougall 23:29, 5 November 2012
With my appeals to the NPOV and Dispute Resolution noticeboards having failed to spark interest from administrators, and with consensus apparently impossible, I fear that edit warring will reoccur... Any suggestions? cwmacdougall 22:40, 11 November 2012
Did you tried Wikipedia:Requests for comment? If RFC doesn't work out, Mediation Committee is the last resort for content disputes in Wikipedia. But filing a case there would require consent of all parties involved. I haven't read the discussions on the talk page fully, but having a glance and looking at the revision history of the page, I could smell some socking. Didn't you? --Anbu121 (talk me) 07:45, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
You mean sock-puppets? Certainly not on my part. I suspected EverlastingGaze of writing under another name, but am not sure. How do you tell? Re further appeals, the current editing block will end shortly; I will see how things progress then. cwmacdougall 8:44, 12 November 2012

Chennai Central Layout

Dear Anbu, Diwali greetings. :) Just check out the template "Perth Rail Yard" ("Perth Station layout and surrounding railyard") in Perth railway station. Is it possible to have a similar one for Chennai Central? I'm sure it would be a great value addition. Thanks. Rasnaboy (talk) 04:04, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

Including basin bridge junction or just the platforms? --Anbu121 (talk me) 05:40, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Well. Chennai Central is a complex terminus with several parts in addition to the Main terminus (including the suburban Moore market terminus). It has several yards and other railway aids, namely, the Basin Bridge Train Care Centre, the Basin Bridge loco yard, and the Salt Cotaurs goods yard. Although some of these are named as Basin Bridge, they are technically part of the Central complex located at the northern side of the complex (except the Basin Bridge Junction, which can be treated as a separate station), since they have been built to serve the terminus. I think it would be better if there is mention of these in the layout map as well. Would like to know your opinion. :) Rasnaboy (talk) 05:56, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
I am thinking to group them into two templates:One for layout of platforms alone, another for depicting the connection between the station, goods yard, loco yard, junction, traincare center (In this case the station will be shown as one entity without platforms). --Anbu121 (talk me) 06:06, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

The more I look into it, the less I feel like I understand what they're trying to do; certainly I copy-paste infoboxii from similar articles when trying to write. As it stands it doesn't seem like an urgent problem, so a PROD seems like a perfectly sensible solution. I've watchlisted it so if anyone contests it we can look for a better solution (which would probably depend on why). WilyD 09:45, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

You requested a speedy deletion, which I did not find prudent. I edited it and added sources and more information. It is a popular youtube channel so it is not "unremarkable" Rosscoolguy (talk) 01:42, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

I have removed the speedy deletion template. But still, the article has only one independent source. The youtube links to the channel itself doesn't qualify as a source. --Anbu121 (talk me) 06:00, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

Arvind Kejriwal

I have deleted the section in Arvind Kejriwal as the statement had no reference. I read the three references mentioned, including one written by Arundhati Roy and two other news articles which did not even include a word like, Youth for Equality. So either you undo your contribution or I would have to repeat my act of deleting the paragraph.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Lonelykartika (talkcontribs)

Please read this reference again. It does mention 'Youth for Equality' clearly. --Anbu121 (talk me) 03:12, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Black people

Greetings Anbu; there is a user on the black people article who has sought to include some of the material that was deemed offtopic in the recent rfc discussion. Specifically, text and an image on Australian Aborigines as "black people" [1]. I've tried explaining to and quoting for him what the community's decision was but to little effect. If it's not any trouble, could you perhaps clarify for him what exactly was the general consensus? It should only take a minute or two. Kind regards - Soupforone (talk) 00:33, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for inviting me. Even I am not fully aware of the discussion and consensus. I can see that the user is in good conversation with you and I don't see a need for explicit intervention. --Anbu121 (talk me) 12:32, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
I understand. Perhaps, then, you'll consider weighing in on the new rfc? Kind regards-- Soupforone (talk) 23:00, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

Chennai COTM

Hi Anbu. With the kind of development one can see in Chennai Central article over the past month due to the collaboration, which has made it increase almost three-fold, we can see that articles of similar kind should be taken for COTM, since they can be improved substantially. The efforts are much prolific and results are encouraging than with solely working on an already improved one (like Vandalur Zoo). Now I realise what you suggested initially is correct—taking one already improved article (a B-class one) and another yet-to-be-improved one (a start/stub one). This way, I think, we can improve the start-class article substantially and tweak the B-class one to the GA level. Do you think this will work? Can we nominate two articles this time, or should we solely concentrate on a single article at a time? Think we can discuss this with other editors too. Rasnaboy (talk) 12:23, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

Can you take this to the project's talk page and invite regular members for a discussion. --Anbu121 (talk me) 12:15, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

A little help please

Thanks for your reverts at CSI College of Engineering. Ever since news reports came out regarding placement scam in the college, IPs have started removing content without explanation. And I am handling them alone (I think I am the only one watching the page). I've used up 3 reverts for the day. I don't think contacting the ips in their talk pages would be useful since they keep hopping. The current state of the article is a mess. Can you please revert the article to this version by makecat? And I doubt the IPs would stop with this. I've never gone to RFPP. Do you think this article requires semi protection since I suppose I am the the only watcher? Please give a tb at my talk page if you reply, as I am mostly in my mobile nowadays. Cheers. Suraj T 14:50, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

I am sorry, the version that are asking for has very sensible information including names of the people invovled in it. Given that we don't have any reliable online source, I prefer not to revert to that version. The current version mentions about the scam without naming people. I have watchlisted the article and will be monitoring it. --Anbu121 (talk me) 15:09, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
That's right. I've seen the newspapers myself. Hence I left it stand. Can't find any online mentions. for your ref: [2] from dinamalar, 26 Nov. I'll try to get online sources. I suppose we cant add the sceen shot. Suraj T 15:23, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Massive vandalism, need someone to revert and ban

Sorry, I have no idea how to mark up anything on Wikipedia or any of the local etiquette.

Found some massive vandalism rendering an article unreadable here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_management

Investigating, I found a long history of similar vandalism. You were the last person to comment on the offending IP's talk page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:64.109.209.62

I guess the page is fixed and the IP has been blocked now. Anyways, I have watchlisted. --Anbu121 (talk me) 05:15, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

Benjamin Netanyahu and Tzipi Livni

May I suggest as these two pages have been vandalised more than once that they are protected at least as a temporary measure?Joshuaselig (talk) 21:31, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

Page protection can be requested at WP:RFPP. But in this case, the vandalism has been done by a registered user, not IPs. The user has been given a final warning and if the user vandalizes one more time, the account will be blocked. Since the disruption is by only one user, protection is not an apt measure. --Anbu121 (talk me) 04:55, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
