Huggle

Just a little thing - you just used huggle to revert an edit made by 65.35.116.116 and marked it as vandalism. Doesn't really matter much, but "innapropriate biographical content" would have been the better choice, as who knows, it could very well be accurate - just uncited, and anything like that must be cited. Anyway, like I said, doesn't make too much of a difference, but with other pages it might - every once in a while, someone does actually make a mistake. Quinxorin (talk) 03:55, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

I saw the phrases "lesbian activist" and "adult film star" and thus assumed it to be a vandalistic edit. So I think I disagree with you on this one/. --Diannaa (Talk) 04:01, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Will Skalmoski

Hello Diannaa. I am just letting you know that I deleted Will Skalmoski, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 04:28, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Number of article in requests

Hi

Sorry I haven't been around much but I had an eye infection again (I get them about three or four times a year after injuring my eye a few years ago) and couldn't look at the TV or a computer screen until a couple of days ago.

Do we still have a limit on the number of articles an editor can request? At the moment we have 4 requests from TGilmour. (though Portal2 is a repeat request) Chaosdruid (talk) 14:13, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi, welcome back :) It looks like we set a limit of three, but it was never put up as a guideline on the Requests page. I will do that right now. -- Diannaa (Talk) 19:36, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, much better now I can see again ¬) spent last week like this ¦¬(
You did put that there right? I did go and check before I posted this right? Oh pooh, best I check now ... Yes, No, Phew!
It is a shame as the articles are mostly GAs they want to put up for FA. Problem is the editor is not actually doing anything wrong, nor really adding to the content as they are mostly fixing refs and tables in the latest one it seems (some of those changes to the tables do not even seem to make a difference to the appearance ... ) Chaosdruid (talk) 22:04, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
So sorry about your eyes. A hassle to be ill. These articles they are nominating are massive and time-consuming. You did Pink Floyd; is it near FA quality in your opinion? They quick-failed it on June 4, a few days before he requested the copy edit. --Diannaa (talk) 22:27, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Problem is they are sort of all of interest to me, Pink Floyd, the F-22 Raptor, Radiohead and Portal 2 are all reasonably up there on my fav lists.
Pink Floyd was a weird one. The person who reviewed it spotted that there were notes in the previous FAC stating that there were some sections that had been missed ("musical style and lyrical themes") so it was unlikely to be ready for FA. I had a look at it and then read it through - I felt that it really did need a copyedit if only to maintain it back up to GA standard.
Anyway, if I don't manage to get on this week (as I am back at work) I hope you have a good weekend (more secrets?) and enjoy the break :¬) Chaosdruid (talk) 23:30, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes, more ninja action coming up; we are off to an *Event* *Somewhere* on the Canada Day long weekend :). --Diannaa (talk) 02:39, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

List of St. Petersburg College alumni

Hi, I am Charles Maxwell from the Saint Petersburg College main office. It seems we've had some discrepancies on a thread regarding my school. I'm sorry about any problems that arose from this, but I would like to get this squared away. A.J. Constantino is a bright and shinning pupil. He is a local humanitarian and on air personality on our cities television station. He is what you call a city-wide celebrity from hosting events to helping around town. And doing all this with the obstacles he faces in his everyday life, that I don't think he wants me to put out on the internet. But, if this does not warrant a place on "our wikipedia page" I don't know what does. I know you stated that "If you are not notable enough for a Wikipedia article, you should not be listed here" And I agree with judgment. But, Just because he doesn't have a wikipedia page I think that this rising star deserves it and I'm not the only person at our facility that believes this. So I do hope you reconsider and allow the change. And I know we had some problems with some immature people vandalizing and making a joke of him. But I give you my word that, that is all under control and will not happen again. Thank you for understanding. comment added by Spc admin (talkcontribs) 01:13, 21 June 2011 (UTC)Spc admin (talk)spc_admin

It would be inappropriate for Wikipedia to allow outside parties to dictate what does or does not appear in our encyclopedia, particularly people such as yourself who have an obvious conflict of interest. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, not a place to acknowledge up-and-coming on-air personalities. I was unable to find any online sources to attest to his notability or even his existence. So I stand behind my decision on this matter. How you propose to control the situation and keep pranksters from editing the article is not stated, but it certainly can be done from our end by locking down the article. Sorry the reply could not be more favourable. --Diannaa (Talk) 01:51, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Copyediting request

Hi there. NickDupree and I are making a push to get Architecture of the Song Dynasty relisted at GA. According to the delisting, the article has WP:Manual of Style#Punctuation and inline citations and WP:LAYOUT issues that need addressing. I was wondering if you could spare the time to look over the article, and either fix it up or explain to me what needs fixing. If not, could you refer me to someone that can help? I'd appreciate this greatly. Sven Manguard Wha? 02:22, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

The section "notes" should be re-named "citations" and the section "references" should be renamed "bibliography". It would be best to put your cites into cite templates, including those in the bibliography. The books should all have locations and ISBNs, which you can get at www.worldcat.org. Optional: This article is a great candidate for addition of {{sfn}} templates. It's a thing of beauty; have a look at Ted Bundy, which has been totally converted to this style and has all of its cites neatly grouped at the bottom. The way of the future, young man. There are small words missing throughout; punctuation marks are missing and misplaced throughout; needs a major copy edit. Measurements should be placed inside conversion templates. Please do as much of this as you can on your own, and place it in the queue at the Requests page for the copy edit to be done. Thanks. --Diannaa (Talk) 03:03, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Nick introduced me to the Harvard templates a few days ago. I don't have the kind of time to overhaul it until July, but he might do it, as he's experienced with it. I'll give it a good looking over then too. Thanks for the advice. Sven Manguard Wha? 03:13, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

I have blocked the range for a week. Unfortunately since there are plenty of good edits coming from this range, I could not institute a longer block. Since you like music...

This isn't keeping with the other things on your list, but have a listen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGWTFQU81D4 when you get the chance. It's at the top of my favorite songs list right now. (It's one of Yanni's better works. I'm ever so glad that user:La Pianista introduced me to his music.)

I also noticed you don't have any Pink Floyd. I recommend "Have a Cigar", the third track on the album Wish You Were Here.

Cheers, Sven Manguard Wha? 06:54, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Check this dude out; they played him on CKUA yesterday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oezJHjKHX78 He has apparently been sculpting out the wood between the frets on some of his guitars so he can stretch the strings further. --Diannaa (Talk) 14:18, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
"And by the way, which one's Pink?" Your track is hot. But Yanni has a bad habit of flipping his hair around like Fabio --Diannaa (Talk) 19:06, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Granted. He's very... 1980s... but the dueling instruments piece with Karen Briggs (violin) and Pedro Eustache (sax)... god it's awesome. I really love "Have a Cigar" because aside from the good music, 30 years later the song still describes the music industry in... all it's glory. Sven Manguard Wha? 21:21, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Ted Bundy

Should his birth name (Theodore Robert Cowell) be in the lead? Having looked through other articles (Bowie, Dylan, Elton, John Wayne) where the birth name is listed after their known name, i then done likewise to Bundy's. However, having read through his article, i'm wondering is it notable to mention Cowell as he became Bundy as a boy.. whereas the name change in other articles were notable.--Queen Zeppelin Metallica Floyd (talk) 08:30, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Queen Zeppelin Metallica Floyd, and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you like it here and decide to stay! Other public figures have their real names in the lead: Al Capone, Natalie Portman, so I expect his is a good idea. Regards, --Diannaa (Talk) 14:24, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Sorry to jump in, but Stevie Wonder might be a good example of another figure who changed their name and then had another stage name. Grandiose (me, talk, contribs) 14:28, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Stevie Wonder is a good example as he has a birth name and a real name and a stage name, and they are all in the lead. By the way, your copy edit is done; I will put something on the GA review page. --Diannaa (Talk) 18:40, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Old subpage

I was wondering if you would please request deletion of this subpage User:White Cat/RFAR/graph in your user space? The page should now be deleted, as you no longer require this information. --Diannaa (Talk) 15:59, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Well it turns out this page links to several other areas of the wiki so I am withdrawing my request that you ask for its deletion. Sorry to have bothered you. --Diannaa (Talk) 19:20, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
It is not a bother but why are pages in my userpace a concern? Merely curious as to why. :) I do need that info should the said person decide to stalk me again. I stopped editing altogether because of the constant nagging by that person in combination with absolute and utter incompetence of ArbCom. He isn't stalking me anymore because I am not editing. -- Cat chi? 20:28, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
User page rules call for materials on other editors to be disposed of once they are no longer actively needed, so it seemed to me that these old charts could now be discarded. However, since the Arbcom case links to them, it is probably better that they be retained as they tie in to that case; there is no other copy. --Diannaa (talk) 20:41, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
The "rules" do not require me to request the deletion of pages in my suerspace the second I am done with them. Which rule are we talking about? As long as I do not use my userspace like a diary or blog it is more than welcome. Certainly offensive conduct that span multiple years such as stalking by the Jack Merridew person whom was also ruled to be stalking me (and banned from the site for over a year - though ruling was overturned before fully served through lots of wikilawyering).
Your post does not explain why you randomly decided to delete one and only one page under my userspace. Certainly userboxes as well as entire userpages are less useful that that chart that documents long term disruptive behaviour.
-- Cat chi? 14:26, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
It is inappropriate for material that purports to be ac-evidence to reside in user space where a degree of user-ownership is allowed. Evidence should be submitted and allowed to become the property of teh "Holy Community". This was moved to user space to facilitate moar transclusion-games; it's spammed all over.
hey niko, you're free to come back ;> teh wiki needs more of your sort to reach its fate. 114.79.62.132 (talk) Jack 05:47, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
I am on a long term wiki vacation just because I feel like it. I may come back any time I desire. Go taunt someone else. I can submit evidence to arbcom in any shape or form I desire. I am perfectly allowed to submit evidence through email if I as much as desire which would make that evidence HIDDEN from the eyes of the community. I maintain that table in case Jack Merridew decides to stalk me again - which seems to be happening. The IP above seems to be from Indonesia compatible with Jack Merridew's location. -- Cat chi? 14:26, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
It was me who thought of the idea of asking you to delete the page, not Jack. The thing that gave me the idea was that Colonel Warden had a page, which was at that point labelled "RIP", which appeared to me to be unseemly grave dancing. I remembered this graph of yours, and as it seemed to have outlived its usefulness, I thought I would ask you to delete it. Here are links to the Col. Warden MFD and undelete discussion:
When I realised later that there was no other copy of this evidence, I withdrew my request. I am not good at these political games, and to even have asked you was a mistake, for which I have already apologised. --Diannaa (talk) 14:34, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
I suck at politics too, otherwise I would at least made admin :p. I owe you an apology as I was under the impression maybe you were manipulated by Jack Merridew as he is a master of manipulation. I am sorry its just that whenever he is involved I just undergo an episode of wiki drama that I only hate. Jack Merridew was recently indefinitely blocked (its the 6th time?) the graph may be needed in the future as this guy just cannot leave me alone. Sorry if you were caught by the flak. -- Cat chi? 23:19, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

You deleted DJ Abrantee

Hi Dianna,

We have since the deletion re-created DJ Abrantee wikipedia page and made it more comprehensive will resources, references, links and all that was required initially.

We would therefor ask for a full restoration of the resubmission that was deleted this month.

Your assistance will be appreciated — Preceding unsigned comment added by Giverandnotataker (talkcontribs) 21:20, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi. I deleted an early version of the article back in January. The most recent version of the article was deleted as the result of a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DJ Abrantee. The outcome of that discussion was that the article would not be kept. I see you have asked for assistance at the talk page of User:Postdlf, who was the one to close the deletion discussion on March 29 and deleted the article again on June 18. That is the correct person to be talking to at this point. --Diannaa (talk) 23:58, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

I was rather surprised to see Linkin Park lyrics in my watchlist. I happen to be a fan of that one too. Mind you, only their first two studio albums are worth listening to, I don't think Linkin Park has produced anything remotely listenable since 2003, but that dosen't detract from the half dozen good songs they churned out. You certainly have an interesting selection going. Sven Manguard Wha? 07:39, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Floyd were ok until Waters left, even then they seemed to be stuck in a "My dad was in the war, he went mad, we suffered" rut in the 80s and 90s. I still prefer "Effervescing Elephant" though [5] ;¬) Chaosdruid (talk) 08:48, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
I thought I wiped that edit summary, but it went through somehow. Fightstar seems good; but it doesn't seem to be available here. Pink Floyd, I wore out two copies of Dark Side of the Moon, also had a copy Of Wish You Were Here (The albums are all gone, stolen). Some of this stuff I just can't listen to it any more; it's kinda like being stuck in amber. But I have chosen a Pink Floyd song and will put it up later. --Diannaa (talk) 20:04, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Welcome back

Hi, hope you had a good 秘密会議 :¬)

Anyway, back to the GOCE grind lol. There has been an outburst of activity on the requests page, as well as the drive page with a few new signers-up. It has been exciting, though I am sure it was not as exciting as your weekend ... I know, you can't say :¬)

As usual I am looking through the new GOCE members, especially those with less than 200 edits. Unfortunately there are some issues which I do not feel totally comfortable dealing with without some "ass-covering" (no, not an incontinence diaper/nappy). We have a new editor, Tianquan that does not appear to be appropriate for editing GA articles - Here are some pieces created by them, here and here. They have also done some editing here and here. I have posted some advice on their talk page before going to see what they did with the Family Guy page (from a request). The latest, Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Tianquan_Zhang makes me think it may not be long before some further action is needed. I have posted on their talk page.

Everything else seems to be running smoothly though, thank goodness. Welcome back! Chaosdruid (talk) 23:15, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

They haven't edited it so no harm done there. Chaosdruid (talk) 23:17, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Well when I posted the song "We Are The Champions" you can take that as a sign that all went very well indeed, ha ha. Editors are beginning to select articles from the Requests page again so hopefully the backlog there will decrease. There must be some kind of critical mass, too, where editors will not bother to add their article if the queue gets too long. Thanks so much for helping look after things while I was away. I did some editing but it was a super intense weekend in other ways and I was not able to do anything mentally complex, and just did some small articles to try to keep the drive totals happening.
So we are going to have to monitor this user closely. I have read through your initial message. I think they are likely very young and may not be suited to the work. You have already given them a reading list so I am hesitant to ask them to do more at this point. So let's keep an eye on them for now and see how things go the next couple of days. Someone else has taken the Family Guy article. I gotta go move some money around and will be back in a couple hours; at some point normal life will resume but not today --Diannaa (talk) 23:44, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Ah, banking the late returns book fees? Hopefully not into the bartenders till :¬) Lol

Hey

Hi Diannaa :) I was wondering if I could ask you for a small favor? So You copy-edited "Dreamlover" a while back, and it helped me out a lot. Turns out a reviewer is requesting the same be done for "Make It Happen". I would really appreciate it if you would be able to, I find the prose to be in pretty good shape, so I doubt you will have much work to do. Thanks anyway for your time!--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 17:07, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

I'm the reviewer, and I find the prose bloated. I edited the first paragraph for him – you can see that in the GA review. I cut the word count by about 30% without losing any meaning, and I think that could and should be done to the rest of the article. Two Hearted River (paddle / fish) 18:04, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Sure, that's okay. Thanks :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 00:59, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Over There (Fringe) FAC

Hi there! I realize you've been busy lately, but your name came up as a potential reviewer for one of my FAC articles. As you recently (and wonderfully) copy edited it, would you be interested in looking it over again and possibly adding your opinion (no pressure there, I'm just trying to get enough reviewers for it before the article is archived; it currently has two). You can find the review here. Thank you very much! :) Ruby2010 comment! 02:36, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

No thanks, Malleus disses our GOCE enough; not keen to go there and get bashed in person, so sorry. --Diannaa (talk) 05:21, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
I don't diss it anything like enough. Perhaps if I did it would be better. Malleus Fatuorum 05:37, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Gaaahh!!! Run away!! --Diannaa (talk) 05:44, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) I can't wait to see what happens when this one swings your way. Recuse? We'll see soon enough! Doc talk 05:41, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
My way? Why would I have to recuse? Malleus Fatuorum 05:46, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
I know *I* won't review Bundy for FA; It's #4 on my list of top edited articles. Kinda COI to review it. --Diannaa (talk) 05:55, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
@Malleus - "My way" = FAC. You participate there a lot, and if an article was nominated as a FA it would come your way, theoretically. Recused... I've seen you do it before with editors you've had "past disputes" with. We had one, but it was quite minor. I would hope you wouldn't recuse, as your input is well-informed. Cheers. Doc talk 05:58, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
I'm still not quite sure what you're getting at. Who is it you think I'm in dispute with that would warrant me recusing (what a horrible word that is)? Diannaa? The only disagreement I'm aware that Diannaa and I have had is over GOCE. Have I missed something? Malleus Fatuorum 06:06, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Oy! I almost created a new topic thread at first, and should have; but I thought I'd kill a flock of passenger pigeons with one shot. Dumb move. Malleus, I'll be at FAC for a certain article within a week that Diannaa & I both contributed heavily to. Please be kind there. Or don't. This was just a "plug" for an upcoming event. Nothing at all to do with GOCE - I thought it was resolved. Carry on... Doc talk 06:14, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Ah, I see. You're suggesting that because Diannaa and I appear to have had a little spat this evening that I wouldn't be able to fairly review any article that she nominated at FAC. Well, as they say, the law must not only be fair, but be seen to be fair, so I will indeed ignore your nomination on that basis. Malleus Fatuorum 06:23, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Okay... understood. I think. See you at the Bundy FAC (?) Doc talk 06:32, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
No, and I thought I'd made it clear why not. Malleus Fatuorum 06:37, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Dang. To be impartial one only has to look at the edits themselves and not have to look at who edited it. Well, give it a read if you have some time. Doc talk 06:43, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
That's all I ever do, but you've suggested that I may do otherwise with this article for whatever reason. That's rather insulting. Malleus Fatuorum 06:49, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
You've absolved yourself from the future FAC nomination. That was your choice, and was all I was looking into. No insults from me, Malleus. "Implied" insults carry no weight, and I have told you repeatedly that I have respect for your contributions here. You don't want to hear that, however. Thanks for the info, and Cheers... Doc talk 06:56, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Absolution is for sins; I have committed no sin. But hey, there are loads of other FA reviewers, so no sweat. Malleus Fatuorum 07:01, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Small problem with the May drive totals and Barnstars

Hi

An unusual and interesting problem has arisen: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Guild_of_Copy_Editors/Coordinators#Aichikawa_-_May_drive_totals_edited_today Chaosdruid (talk) 02:52, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Crazy

This melody has been going through my head for a few days and all I had was one word; Melodies at present cannot be Googled. Luckily it is in the book and I found it that way. This one is the shit, guaranteed

It's not far off though :¬) Common Music Notation stanford edu
There was this version though, a little more dark ... [6] Chaosdruid (talk) 05:53, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Cool beans :) I like that version. Also, this guy with the violin, he knows what it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5okzOrTYGU --Dianna, the World's Most Interesting Librarian 06:00, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Nice! I got a little too much into youtube, spent a couple of hours there yesterday. I didn't realise how many "(Country)'s got talent" performers tried Sam Brown's "Stop!" [7], seems like every country's show had one lol, but this is my fave cover [8] so far ... Chaosdruid (talk) 16:04, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
I liked the cover; it has a big emotional impact even without lyrics; the intervals and chord progression does that somehow. --Diannaa (talk) 01:00, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Another little problem - requests list this time

Hi

Latest problem is User_talk:Blackmane#GOCE_requests and the Design management article on the requests page.

I have a three strikes rule I apply to most things in my life, but do not know if I was a little strong? or if I have perhaps been arrogant in taking a stance on behalf of GOCE?

As I said to Blackmane, it is not reflecting well on us as you can see by the comments from Wizardman (who has also kindly been updating the archive and requests pages it seems).

In their defence they have been in communication with User_talk:Wiki4des (something Wizardman may not have been aware of) on the 29 June, who did take some time in responding on the 7 July, though no real action has been forthcoming after the reply (the only edits by Blackmane since 3 July). ReaperEternal did attempt a copyedit but, as other GOCE members have found, the article is a pretty difficult one to comprehend it seems and a couple have withdrawn from it.

I have no problem with doing it, but at this rate it won't get done until next drive! Chaosdruid (talk) 04:12, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

I looked at the article and found it rambled on without actually saying much of anything. It would be difficult for me to copy edit as I haven't a clue what they're trying to say. The work required to make it into a comprehensive understandable article goes beyond the scope of routine copy editing. Major slash and burn will be needed as well as some kind of focus as to what the article is trying to say. The article apparently sat at GA for some two months before anyone had the courage to review it, and it seems to have passed as-is without any fanfare; why that happened is not clear. I agree that having the article sit in the copy edit queue for a long time does not reflect well on the Guild, but the July drive has scarce resources in terms of manpower and this lengthy poorly written article could suck up a week of editing time, at the expense of meeting our targets for the drive, which are going to be difficult to achieve at the rate we are going. I think we should wait and do it at the end of the July drive. Then we can tackle it as a team; with several people working on it, the work will not seem so daunting. If anyone has access to a college-level text on the subject, that would be perfect. That's my opinion. I will ask the other coords to comment. --Diannaa (talk) 14:34, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
I have stricken my last comment from Blackmanes page while this discussion continues. Did you want to move it to the co-ordinators page? Chaosdruid (talk) 14:54, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
No, leave it here, please, as I have already laid some talk-backs on the other coords' talk pages. --Diannaa (talk) 14:55, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
I think that it would be better to let Blackmane finish the copyedit (hopefully the prodding on his talk page will speed him up). An article like that would scare away most editors, and I'm not sure if there would be many people willing to copyedit it, especially not in July. Although it doesn't reflect well on the Guild, I think that we should leave this article until the July drive finishes, as Diannaa said. --Slon02 (talk) 15:09, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
The only problem with tackling it as a team is a high risk of running into edit conflicts. But other than that, I agree with Diannaa and Slon. The UtahraptorTalk/Contribs 17:38, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
  • I suppose that could be fixed by simply having one copy editor take care of it for half a day or a day, then having another copy editor take care of it for half a day or a day, etc., until the copy edit is complete. The UtahraptorTalk/Contribs 17:40, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
  • This situation crops up once in a while. Perhaps the coordinators might want to come up with some sort of time limitation, so that articles that have been "booked" but not worked on, automatically returns to the pool. If we set this as policy, then it will hopefully not upset people as much if their article automatically returns to the pool. In the past, we have had editors who booked multiple articles and did not work on any of them, or only did so after a very long time. While coordinators sending reminders is a good thing, and lets members know that we do care, it is also time consuming, frustrating and promotes a "babysitting" mentality. – SMasters (talk) 07:08, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
