RfA

As someone who was also nominated for adminship by an inexperienced Wikipedian, I want to say I was surprised and saddened by how badly that went - I was headed for bed when I saw the transclusion and expected to be able to research you and probably support when I got up. For what it's worth, you have my sympathy and apologies. However, feel free to archive/delete this quickly if you'd rather not be reminded! Yngvadottir (talk) 13:12, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

@Yngvadottir: I was surprised myself. I don't know why users think I would be unfit for the admin tools (especially since I've used them elsewhere). It was a lark anyway, so I'm not exactly crestfallen but surprised and disappointed nonetheless. Thanks for your kind words. —Justin (koavf)TCM 14:22, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
It may have been a good idea to pull it; you should be able to run again soon, or at least, sooner than if there had been a big fight over the quality of your nom, or some other silliness. Best of luck. - Dank (push to talk) 01:44, 17 May 2014 (UTC)
I saw this too Justin. RfA is a brutal, brutal place and very rough on people, and on purpose, because it can be hard to take tools away from someone once given so people will nitpick almost anything. My RfA actually went pretty smoothly by comparison to most but it was still an extremely stressful week for me. I wasn't criticized on things I thought I would be (mostly my lackluster content creation skills), and got attacked for things that I still to this day think were unfounded. It's not something anyone should consider lightly. I'm glad you took the wise route and withdrew voluntarily. I was nominated by someone who was a respected admin (and really if they hadn't come to me for a nomination I wouldn't have ran, I didn't like my chances and felt like I had enough to do without the bit already) and I'm sure things wouldn't have been much better for me if I'd done so under the same circumstances as you. I'm glad this process hasn't upset you too much, I don't know if I'd have taken it as well. -- Atama 21:38, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
Thanks @Dank:, @Atama:. That was a surreal experience, honestly. And it's compounded by stupid stuff in real life as well. It's nice to have some strangers say such supportive things. —Justin (koavf)TCM 03:34, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
It's true that I'm a stranger, but not a stranger to the quality of your work. Let me know if I can help with this stuff in the future. - Dank (push to talk) 10:45, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
Yikes, sorry I missed that. Fuss about a block 4 years ago??? Wow. Hopefully next time. ErikHaugen (talk | contribs) 16:08, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
@ErikHaugen: Thanks. I've gotten a lot of support from strangers after that—it's pretty nice actually. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:25, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

Chronic Town and Murmur

Regarding your reverts of my changes to the categories: Chronic Town cannot be both the debut EP and the debut album. It is an EP and the debut one per that article's lede. Likewise, Murmur is the debut album. It is the first studio album and R.E.M's first release of an album (debut) and this is also stated in that article lede. I am not going to change them back, but I notice you have been questioned before about this type of reversion. I just do not do edit wars of any kind. So have it your way...whatever. Fylbecatulous talk 15:01, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

@Fylbecatulous: EPs are albums. Note that Category:EPs is a subcategory of Category:Albums. It can't not be the debut album. This isn't having it my way: the discussion about EPs and their categorization has been had many times for many years in many venues. @WheresTristan. Hello. I think WP:DTTR applies here. While I agree the edits to the page could have used at least some kind of edit summary, Justin would likely better appreciate the constructive criticism if it were addressed directly to him in your own words. --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 18:00, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

Naming conventions, Hunt Library

Hi,

I saw you moved James B. Hunt Jr. Library to James B. Hunt, Jr. Library. While I understand convention dictates including the comma before the Jr. for articles about people, shouldn't an article about a library take the library's name? (I.e. does precedent really dictate imposing a punctuation mark in the name of a non-person?)

Thanks --— Rhododendrites talk |  18:29, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Update: Nevermind. Looking around, I'm seeing the university does use both. (See the library's about page which omits the comma in the title but then includes it.) I agree it's best to stick with standard punctuation then. --— Rhododendrites talk |  18:31, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Edit summaries

This will be helpful especially when you remove large portions of text with absolutely no explanation. -- Magioladitis (talk) 13:52, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Please use edit summaries when only removing white space. it is not clear why you connected two words. -- Magioladitis (talk) 16:44, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

@Magioladitis: Stop I get it. This is grand. WP:DASH. Changes which bring a page in line with the MoS are not the same as edits which make no change to a talk page's appearance or functionality. Your posting here is not serving any purpose. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:47, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
Hey. I have nothing personal. Seriously. I asked you some clarification on your edits. I always assume good faith. In Greek there would be spaces in between the words. -- Magioladitis (talk) 16:50, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
Sorry I apologize, since this is a genuine question. I feel like the templating at all was just petty and really unnecessary since the same thing was posted earlier and you posted it in response to criticism of your actions on your talk. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:52, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
Just to make clearer. I only informed the other guys that I left you a message and I did not make any further comments on the matter on my talk page. Thanks for explaining. -- Magioladitis (talk) 16:54, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Justin: the templating was inappropriate, for sure, but the request was not. I see other editors have asked you the same thing recently. Would you be willing to use edit summaries for your edits? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:00, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

MSGJ just to make clear: I was not templating. Check my comments above. I left a message in here and I did not connect it with any other discussion. Thanks, Magioladitis (talk) 09:42, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
You did template. You typed {{subst:Uw-editsummary}} which substitutes the contents of Template:Uw-editsummary. This is a template. You can read Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars for more information about why some editors regard this as inappropriate. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:49, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
Ah OK. You are right then. I thought templating was something else. -- Magioladitis (talk) 09:53, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
@MSGJ: I will not dispute that their claim has validity. Edit summaries can be useful, sure. I usually stick to the auto-generated ones. —Justin (koavf)TCM 14:28, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
There will be complaints, and when a number of people tell you the same thing, I would say that you should not give any chance. OccultZone (Talk) 16:12, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 31

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Unplugged: The Complete 1991 and 2001 Sessions, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Digital download (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Examples that bypassing redirects is acceptable

Hi again. You may want to read this bot request for instance: Wikipedia:Bot_requests#Stub_templates_renamed. Moreover, I believe this may be really interesting for you: User_talk:Od_Mishehu#Stubs. Many thanks, Magioladitis (talk) 12:04, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

@Magioladitis: Granted but this is different because those stub names were ambiguous and presumably split into different types of stubs so they removed one generic name in favor of multiple specific names. Replacing {{album}} with {{WikiProject Albums}} does not serve this function. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:42, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
True. I just answered to a question I thought you posed about redirects. If you check the edit history of who adds redirects for bypassing, you 'll see I am only removing and not adding unless there is a very specific request to do so.
The latter is for not confusing bots that add WPBS in pages or do other changes such as BattyBot and Josvebot. It is certainly not an urgent matter and I am not planning in doing it. Some of edits were to aid these bots. Thanks again for the quick replies and feedback. -- Magioladitis (talk) 17:39, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

One of the most popular tools for assessing can't recognise redirects. Inexperienced editors who are trying to help could do things like these: User_talk:OccultZone#You_added_duplicated_tag. -- Magioladitis (talk) 09:12, 6 June 2014 (UTC)

@Magioladitis: If there's some consensus somewhere to replace the hundreds of thousands of instances of short names to make transclusions of WikiProject banners, then I am all for someone doing it but it should be done by a bot and tagged as such. If not, I'll do it manually too. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:40, 7 June 2014 (UTC)

Help?

Hi, I finally got a chance to email... well, I still have to sneak to use the minutes here online while I learn how to walk well. Problem: some of the great photos sent to me from the photographers I've dealt with in Flickr require the time to upload them to Wikimedia.org and then more work. I'm going to forward the email I sent from one man in Boston for a few photos needing the upload. Could you do that for me? It appears harder to figure out how to upload the photos as opposed to this time last year, too. One link to the Flickr pic I had in mind might be wrong, too..

Awww-- and maybe there's a Randy Newman photo there (same set) with the same CC-BY (acceptable to upload) license, too..

Please check the photos out and upload them to Wikimedia.org for me? Let me know... somebody's coming g0tta go! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 01:41, 7 June 2014 (UTC)

@Leahtwosaints: Of course! I promise I've been meaning to write. I e-mailed myself to get it done and then the next thing I know, I'm working 90 hours a week between four jobs. Things are slowing down with me so I should be able to do this. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:38, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
@Leahtwosaints: I am uploading those photos now. You linked the Kris Kristofferson one twice and the link for Leonard Cohen is actually Randy Newman. If you want a Leonard Cohen photo, there are several which are freely licensed: https://www.flickr.com/search/?q=leonard+cohen&l=commderiv&ct=0&mt=all&adv=1 . User Page Issue Comment

Just a friendly notice, that, for me at least, the picture at the top of your userpage is positioning itself under the sidebar links. (Perhaps due to the use of "absolute" positioning) Even if it doesn't appear that way for you it might be worth looking into. Thanks Sleetwolf (talk) 11:02, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

@Sleetwolf:, @Racerx11:: Can you tell me about what kind of system you're using (OS, screen size, browser)? Thanks. —Justin (koavf)TCM 15:46, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
I am currently on a 17" laptop running Windows 7. I think the only two browsers I have on it are Chrome and Explorer and they both show the same thing. It also appears the same on my iPhone in desktop mode. My other device is down at the moment.
The image is at the extreme left and in the upper part of the side bar. The Wikipedia icon and some of the links are superimposed over the image. I don't know if this is what Sleetwolf is refering to as "under" the sidebar links. Actually when I first saw it, I thought it might be intentional on your part. --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 17:01, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

Edit warring by Omar-toons

I note that Omar-toons has been committing numerous acts of edit war targeted against your edits. I have just made a report of his edit warring to edits on the Pan-Arab colors page.

Given your unfortunate experience dealing with this particularly aggressive user, I wonder if you might be able to contribute to this discussion on both Talk:Pan-Arab colors, and perhaps more importantly on the edit warring noticeboard - the link for the report on Omar-toons is here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:AN3#User:Omar-toons_reported_by_2.28.240.160_.28Result:_.29

It is my hope that good sense can prevail and that the input of others will assist Omar-toons in adopting a more cooperative, good faith approach to editing.

R.E.M. chronology

Thank you for your kind words. I changed the R.E.M. chronologies so that there was always a "R.E.M. chronology" available for people to click on. I did so because it appears that, in the case of R.E.M., by convention the chronology includes video albums; I'm fine with that. However, you reverted my changes which were based on that assumption, and in doing so highlighted a problem with the chronology templates.
While the templates for live album and studio album allow you to incorporate the above convention into the first chronology, the video chronology template does not - the word "video" is always in the chronology, even if you blank out the type.
Hence I moved stuff around so that if there was a video article, I would create an R.E.M. chronology below that. Does that explanation make sense? If not, let me know. If yes, could you possibly revert the changes made... or come up with a good justification for "R.E.M. videos video chronology." :) Fantailfan (talk) 01:00, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

@Fantailfan: Right: the template reads "videos". I can actually edit complex templates and I'll try to change that functionality so that the main chronology in {{Infobox album}} leads in a straight line from X to Y to Z and that additional chronologies can highlight videos if users want to navigate those. The problem is with the template, not with you. Thanks a lot! —Justin (koavf)TCM 01:37, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
Excellent! I was hoping for just that. Fantailfan (talk) 02:51, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

How I Met Your Mother

In this edit, I have manually reverted one of your edits to Duel Citizenship, and integrated information you removed in another. While Eaglestorm seems to be mass reverting your edits (see here and here for reverts made today), with a series of repeated edit summaries using phrases such as "pogrom" and "johhny comelately editor", I have ensured that the tags you placed remain and that my edit is completely justifiable.

This is my interpretation of what has been happening: you made a series of mass edits on HIMYM articles about a month ago, removing sections you deemed to be unencyclopedic (presumably thinking of WP:TRIVIA and WP:V when making the edits). Many have been partially or fully reverted over this past month, especially by Eaglestorm. By sending you this message, I have finally gotten around to trying to spark discussion as I have not seen any place where this issue is being discussed. (Please point me to a discussion if there has been one.) I have no opinion on whether you or Eaglestorm were acting wisely when making edits to these articles but it seems to me like we should get consensus on whether "Cultural references" and "Barney's blog" sections are valid, and whether anything needs referencing if they are to be kept.

I am also sending a (briefer) message on the same topic to Eaglestorm. Based on the Busy template on his/her talk page and the fact that (s)he has been reverting your edits in big blocks, with large spaces of time between, may mean there will not be a response from his/her end, or no response for a while. I am willing to discuss this here, on my talk page, on any relevant HIMYM talk page or anywhere else. I am very active so can respond quickly if you use Template:Ping, Template:Talkback or post anything here or on my talk page. Bilorv (Talk)(Contribs) 15:38, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Trivia and citations @Bilorv: You are correct that sections listing music, self-published references to Barney's Blog (which were credited to the fictional character of Barney Stinson), and sections explicitly titled "trivia" are trivial, so I removed them. —Justin (koavf)TCM 15:41, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
First: I would like to point out that this message should be read in a perfectly polite tone. Tone is often misconveyed online and since I originally thought your reply was somewhat rude, I would imagine you are going to think the same about my reply unless I clarify this now.
Secondly, I don't believe I ever said the information was trivial, and if I did, I didn't mean to. I merely stated that WP:TRIVIA was something you were basing your edits off - and would like to mention that it only concerns how trivia in list format can be presented better: it is not (unless I'm misreading the nutshell template) justification for removing content entirely.
Thirdly, I am somewhat afraid you and/or Eaglestorm are going to start mass reverting edits. Please don't.
Fourth, I am definitely against any sections explicitly titled "trivia", and have often reverted edits like that in the past.
Fifth, I'm still not getting a sense of proper justification here. Do you object to the content because it lacks referencing? If references were provided, would you be fine with the content? What exactly is wrong with a list of music contained within an episode? What is wrong with "Barney's Blog"? Bilorv (Talk)(Contribs) 16:04, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
@Bilorv: I did not mean to be condescending in my previous post: you are correct that I am attempting to say that sections of trivial information are inappropriate and those are examples of such sections. Citing trivial information is not sufficient, as it's still trivia but any uncited information can be removed at any time. E.g. look at FA- or GA-class TV episode articles and you'll see that none of them have sections like this. Listing the music that appears in an episode is useful only for explaining how it relates to the episode's construction, reception, notability, etc. (with citations). These kinds of trivial lists are entirely appropriate for http://himym.wikia.com (and can be easily ported there). Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate list of information nor is it a repository of in-universe plot summaries so several of these articles are appropriate for alternate venues or will have to be restructured and cited. If someone spent some time four or five years ago to make these, someone can spend some time fixing them now and taking what is not appropriate for this site and moving it to another site. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:11, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
Although resorting to WP:OSE, Lisa the Vegetarian does contain a section entitled "Cultural references". The article is FA-class and the section certainly meets that standard. This was the first FA-class article I thought of - A Streetcar Named Marge and The Last Temptation of Krust also have similar sections. While no HIMYM section that I've seen meets any of those standards, I do object to absolute removal of anything that can be labelled "trivia".
The "Barney's blog" sections seem to me to be an extension of the plot description - just because they are outside of the show (and possibly out of canon) does not mean they are irrelevant. They appear on the CBS website and simple one-line descriptions of the blog seem to me to be relevant.
Given the millions of viewers that watch each and every episode just on its first broadcast in the US, and the hundreds of millions of views it gets on repeats and in other countries, I also think music in the show - especially significant clips - can be relevant. Take the song "500 Miles", for instance: it is used in several episodes (first in Arrivederci, Fiero) and even has its own story described by Future Ted.
I have discovered several songs I love from the show: I would imagine I am not the only one who found songs through the show, whether simply listening once on YouTube or saving to favourites and playlists. I remember reading multiple blogs online complimenting the music used by HIMYM: they really do use music very effectively. I remember vividly the haunting "Stones" music in the background of "A Change of Heart", for instance. Anything large enough to be explicitly recognised by a large portion of viewers, whether a cultural reference or song, is something I would certainly consider mentioning in the article. Bilorv (Talk)(Contribs) 16:28, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

@Bilorv: Cultural references sections are useful and necessary when you have a parody of pre-existing media (such as "A Streetcar Named Marge"), dense or obscure references to a person's life and work ("Lisa the Vegetarian"), or which have themselves generated significant coverage in third-party works (the Canyonero in "The Last Temptation of Krust"). Frequently, these sections are used in articles about (e.g.) Family Guy or South Park just to explain a joke or as trivia and fan theories. If a piece of music was moving or important, then it will be referenced in third party sources and can be discussed in the reception or mentioned in the plot of the episode. Indiscriminate lists include music which is not moving or which is not referenced by anyone else discussing the episode in reliable sources. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:35, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

I think one of my biggest flaws as an editor is identifying reliable sources. Please take a look at [4], [5] and [6] and see if any are "reliable" and contain music that would be worth mentioning (or expanding beyond a simple list if it is already mentioned) in either the article about the song or the article about the episode it was used in. While my opinion is definitely not reliable, I would certainly agree with several pieces of music mentioned there - and was listening to one earlier today while editing. Bilorv (Talk)(Contribs) 16:41, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
Sources@Bilorv: These passing listicles are probably appropriate for a quick mention in the critical reception of the article but probably not in the song's article. It's more important for understanding that episode than understanding that song. —Justin (koavf)TCM 17:30, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Adminship It would be handy sometimes but also impose some responsibilities. I already have a lot to do here and not enough time but there are areas where I have been active (e.g. CfD) where being an admin would help clear out a backlog and speed along things that take too long. R.E.M. compilation

Hey, I left a message on the history page, but not sure if you saw it. Also, not sure why we need 600 characters more to do the same job as the spaces. Is there any use I'm not aware of? Other browsers or OSs? It looks perfect to me with no "nbsps". I'll check back here. Thanks. - 187.20.71.73 (talk) 14:39, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

WP:DASH Non-breaking spaces serve a function of keeping together information around line breaks. Also, an ndash is not the same thing as a hyphen. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:31, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, I still don't understand why the change. The spaces were doing their job fine with no need for nbsp at all -- compare before and after the change, they look exactly the same, but before with 600 characters less. And the original list didn't have hyphens, only ndashes, so nothing changed there. - 187.20.71.73 (talk) 02:14, 6 July 2014 (UTC)

Although the coven's existence is disputed, I don't think it can be called a hoax in the same way as Piltdown man for example, and certainly has nothing to do with the US! It's easy to say that you're going to improve the articles, but in my experience, people often don't follow through with what they say. You can use a sandbox to edit them in the mean time, but I don't agree with leaving episode pages that contain next to no information just because some day somebody might improve them. However for now, I'll stop redirecting the pages if you stop recreating the pages already redirected. JDDJS (talk) 00:12, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

Question about flags in infoboxes

Usual use of flags once designated the country of origin and/or place of death in biography articles of musicians. I was a fairly new Wikipedian at the time, (or just too lazy or busy like now) to care when en.Wikipedia agreed that flags do not belong there-- it should be found in the text of the articles. Back then, prolific editors here removed most of them, though I have found occasional cases that weren't cleaned up. My question is about non-biographic articles (sort of) like this one for Andy Green -- Wing Commander Andy D. Green, OBE BA RAF. Any idea as to policy? Picnic Reference

Hello, thank you for your recent edits. The edit I posted cited the source in it's description. However, I could provide a more traditional citing in the article as well as response from the group confirming that it is the film used in the song. I don't feel that this is trivial by any means as the song draws directly and abstractly from the film. Again, thanks. Ariadavid (talk) 01:59, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

@Ariadavid: Pop culture sections are discouraged. If you can talk about sources which analyze this film and its impact on music or other media, that would be better. A single on-off reference is probably better left to a See also section. —Justin (koavf)TCM 02:05, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
@Koavf: If this is the case than I might suggest we retitle the section as "In creative works" if "IPC" sections are no longer standard. I'll be able to add to it concerning other works as well. Ariadavid (talk) 02:58, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
@Ariadavid: I'd suggest something like "reception" or "legacy" or somesuch and talk about how the film has been received in general--by critics, at the box office, etc. By the way, I use {{Ping}} to alert you of posts that involve you but you don't need to ping me on my own talk page because I will see it anyway. If you need anymore help with anything, please let me know. —Justin (koavf)TCM 03:01, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Spanish orthography may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • ', not *''CHillón''. Sometimes one finds [[elevator|lift]]s (elevators) with buttons marked *''{{{{lang|es|[[wikt:llamar#Spanish|LLamar]]}}'', but this double capitalization has always been

"Billboard" 200

Hi Koavf. Just wondering what the rationale is behind changing all the instances of Billboard 200 to "Billboard" 200? Why aren't we doing that at Billboard 200? — MusikAnimal talk 15:24, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

@MusikAnimal: Because Billboard is a print publication and so its name is italicized. Similarly, "New York Times bestseller". —Justin (koavf)TCM 15:55, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Ah yes, what I'm seeing in the diff are sets of apostrophes to add the italic formatting, not double quotes... I ought to get into the habit of not relying completely on the unrendered wikimarkup when judging edits, and also get some glasses :) — MusikAnimal talk 16:14, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
@MusikAnimal: What's more important is that you're in the habit of nicely asking questions and admitting your own fallibility--lessons I could relearn sometimes! If we had more editors like you, we'd have more editors overall. Thanks. —Justin (koavf)TCM 16:15, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Richie Kotzen discography, Nonpoint discography and Loverboy discography

Would you mind commenting on the potential creation of Richie Kotzen discography, Nonpoint discography and Loverboy discography? --Jax 0677 (talk) 02:06, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

@Jax 0677: I totally support all of these. If you want me to individually post to all those talk pages I can. Honestly, you should just be bold! —Justin (koavf)TCM 02:19, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
Reply -Please post to all three pages. Per User:Op47, I like to wait a clear month before splitting stuff that is already there, and to have at least one other person agree to split the page. --Jax 0677 (talk) 02:21, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 12

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Spanish orthography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Digraph. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Wolverine: First Class. Since you had some involvement with the Wolverine: First Class redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Steel1943 (talk) 15:17, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi there

Hi, Koavf, this is just a test post to see whether I can make edits with this account. I created another account, with a highly provocative name, and tried to edit here, but that failed because of the edit filter. Mellow Hello (talk) 06:48, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

@Mellow Hello: It worked! Welcome! —Justin (koavf)TCM 06:48, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
Well, you might not be welcoming me if you knew what my other account was. It's called I Condemn Homosexuality. The edit filter totally stopped me from making any edits with that account, so it seems to be working well. Mellow Hello (talk) 06:50, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
@Mellow Hello: Fair enough. If you want to contribute to the encyclopedia or just say hi, then we're glad to have you. Even if you just want to read what we've tried to write for the world, that's good, too. —Justin (koavf)TCM 06:51, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
