TemplateScript

Hello Rezonansowy. I found the old 'regex menu framework' in your common.js page, so I updated it to the latest version (now called TemplateScript with an improved regex editor, simpler usage for creating text snippets, cleaner scripting support, more powerful features for advanced users, and better gadget support).

I noticed that it was disabled; I wasn't sure from the edit history if that was deliberate, so I left it inactive. Let me know if you'd like me to fix it for you. :) —Pathoschild 23:07, 23 August 2014 (UTC)

@Pathoschild: Hi, thanks for this, however this isn't my common.js but User:Jbhunley. Many thanks for upgrading this script, ti could be very helpful for advanced editors. Regards, --Rezonansowy (talk | contribs) 14:46, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, the correct link is User:Rezonansowy/Rezonansowy-external.js. —Pathoschild 14:53, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
Again, thanks! :) --Rezonansowy (talk | contribs) 20:45, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Template:Bananas

Hi Rezonansowy. Is Template:Bananas, which you created but which is currently unused, still required? If not, I'll nominate it for deletion (or you can if you prefer). Regards. DH85868993 (talk) 12:29, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

Deb (file format) website

Hi!

What was the reason to change the website for the deb format? The page on the Debian wiki is pretty much meaningless. And the actual format is the one defined in the dpkg deb(5) man page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Guillem Jover (talkcontribs) 17:49, 25 October 2014 (UTC)

Wykop.pl

Gdyby wkleili do filmików logo np. Wikipedii, to wtedy byłyby kontrowersje Wikipedii? Pozdrowienia, --CzakNoris (talk) 19:17, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi.

In response to your request in Template talk:Infobox and Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) § Chrome vs. Firefox Wikipedia rendering, I've deployed a new Module:URL. I suggest you re-visit the pages that you visited before and keep an eye for the same problems. Let me know if you are satisfied.

Wikipedia and Tor

Hello, I saw that you made a proposal that Wikipedia articles should link to Tor websites. I have no comment on your proposal, but appreciate your interest in developing the relationship between Tor and Wikipedia.

I know little about Tor but have a standing interest in helping Tor users in Wikipedia, and helping Wikipedia users learn and use Tor. See meta:Grants:IdeaLab/Partnership between Wikimedia community and Tor community for what I have collected. If you ever want to talk about Tor and Wikipedia message me sometime and maybe we can make more happen. Blue Rasberry (talk) 00:15, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

@Bluerasberry: Hi, this project sounds great. Where can I support its progress? --Rezonansowy (talk | contribs) 17:51, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

More Wikipedia and Tor

First I wish to say that your addition of mentioning Tor2web on the Tor Wikipedia page is quite flattering. Second, if you want to get Tor users editing Wikipedia again, there are two possible paths. One is the necessary Wikipedia-politics to get the block removed. The other is money or developers to implement one of the proposed anonymous credential schemes. The Tor Project is interested in both, but the second solution generalizes to other sites better. See:

https://blog.torproject.org/blog/call-arms-helping-internet-services-accept-anonymous-users

Like the previous commentator, I am likewise available to chat about (Wikipedia ∩ Tor). Romanpoet (talk) 11:40, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Dead links on VRML page

You recently rearranged some of the links on the VRML page. There are a couple of dead links to resources on cic.nist.gov. Can you delete them? cic.nist.gov is my server and the content is gone forever and the robots.txt file prevents them from being available through the Internet Archive.

Thanks, Robert Lipman, robert.lipman@nist.gov 129.6.33.162 (talk) 15:06, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

@129.6.33.162: Dear Robert,
Some other user has already done this, however this resource is still accessible via archive.today service – http://www.archive.today/8MO5#selection-121.1-135.1[dead link]
@PaleAqua: Should we re-add these links? --Rezonansowy (talk | contribs) 19:00, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
There have been concerns about using archive.is / archive.today links ( and I believe they are or at least were on the black list ). There was a big RfC on the issue recently with a relatively large number of !votes for keeping them blacklisted. While I ended up more of the side of lifting the black list, I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable adding them especially for external links. Of the two the detection one was probably the more interesting link. It might be better though to see if their is another webvisible VRML plugin detector. Also does the archived detector work? It showed the wrong information for my browser? It might just be a static result based on the crawler. PaleAqua (talk) 19:37, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Category:Inventions by Nikola Tesla

I see you created Category:Inventions by Nikola Tesla. Categorization of articles must be verifiable (see[5]) and "Inventions by Nikola Tesla" has a very strict definition membership threshold, namely it has to be a Tesla invention. So you should verify it or put back the old category. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 03:05, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi.

I know Explorer++ is released under GNU license but its screenshot, File:Explorer++ File Manager.png, is not free. As the "Other information" field reads:

The original computer program depicted in this screenshot is available under GNU General Public License terms. However, this program always displays many computer icons that are not its author's property; they are copyright-protected intellectual properties of Microsoft and their inclusion in this image is not de minimis, making this image non-free. Producing a screenshot entirely devoid of non-free work is impossible.

In fact, Explorer++ has plagiarized a lot of Windows XP assets.

Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 01:52, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

@Codename Lisa: I replaced this image with a free one. It has less copyrighted icons and fits de minimis. --RezonansowyakaRezy (talk | contribs) 14:46, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Tomasz Tomaszewski

The article Tomasz Tomaszewski has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (biographies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi.

Sorry to bother you but I think it is very important to let you know that I reviewed your changes in File:Computer icon and wordmark of paint.net 4.0.png and discovered problems with it.

Thank you for using VisualEditor and sharing your ideas with the developers.

Hello, Rezonansowy,

The Editing team is asking very experienced editors like you for your help with VisualEditor. The team has a list of top-priority problems, but they also want to hear about small problems. These problems may make editing less fun, take too much of your time, or be as annoying as a paper cut. The Editing team wants to hear about and fix these small things, too.

You can share your thoughts by clicking this link. You may respond to this quick, simple, anonymous survey in your own language. If you take the survey, then you agree your responses may be used in accordance with these terms. This survey is powered by Qualtrics and their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy.

More information (including a translateable list of the questions) is posted on wiki at mw:VisualEditor/Survey 2015. If you have questions, or prefer to respond on-wiki, then please leave a message on the survey's talk page.

Issue with your signature

Hello Rezonansowy,

When you posted this edit on the technical moves request board, I noticed that your signature is:

-- [[[User:Rezonansowy|Rezonansowyaka''Rezy'']] <small>([[User talk:Rezonansowy|talk]] | [[Special:Contributions/Rezonansowy|contribs]])</small>

...which contains a vertical bar that is not part of a link and is not encapsulated in <nowiki> tags. Since the bar is not encapsulated in <nowiki> tags, it can break templates when used in them, as shown in this edit when your request was contested; a good portion of your signature is missing. To resolve this, could you please update your signature to:

-- [[[User:Rezonansowy|Rezonansowyaka''Rezy'']] <small>([[User talk:Rezonansowy|talk]] <nowiki>|</nowiki> [[Special:Contributions/Rezonansowy|contribs]])</small>

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
