April 2016[edit]

Hello, I'm Laberkiste. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Laber□T 01:41, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

May 2016[edit]

It is clear that you are making intelligent, thoughtful contributions to Wikipedia. Please could you get yourself an account. The benefit of that would be that your contributions would be less likely to be reverted.-- Toddy1 (talk) 07:32, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.-- Toddy1 (talk) 07:05, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Wahhabism, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Denisarona (talk) 06:45, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sir Joseph. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Hasidic Judaism, but you didn't provide a reliable source. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. June 2016[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Alawites. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. TJH2018talk 21:47, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The guy removes whole sourced paragraphs because they do not suit his worldviews and I get a warning? The sources are scholarly books and articles from resoectable political magazines. Please, before you give me warnings focus on his constant vandalism of the article where he does not let anybody edit it (with sourced scholarly material) as long as it does not suit his views. The matter has to be resolved or there will be an official complaint about that.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.220.72.109 (talk) 21:55, 1 June 2016‎
In your eyes, what's an official report? I'm curious. And you still haven't answered my questions...TJH2018talk 22:49, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Shortages in Venezuela. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Donner60 (talk) 23:43, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Omar Mateen. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. John from Idegon (talk) 14:57, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. For too long too many unverified, unexplained edits have come from this IP address. It has to stop, or a lengthy block will happen. Drmies (talk) 03:04, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of mosques in Oceania[edit]

You broke the table. Please use preview:
Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "save page" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 06:22, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Al-Zahra Mosque has been reverted.
Your edit here to Al-Zahra Mosque was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/Masjid.AlZahraa/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 05:57, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

June 2017[edit]

Hello, I'm GorillaWarfare. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to 2012–13 Iraqi protests seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. GorillaWarfare (talk) 23:05, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Don't use edit summaries to call editors whose edits you don't like vandals[edit]

No one is going to think I'm a vandal, but the point is you shouldn't call anyone a vandal whose edits aren't clearly WP:Vandalism. Looking at all the warnings above, and assuming one person is responsible for all those edits, you need to be concerned about your own edits. Doug Weller talk 20:28, 9 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of {{Persondata}}[edit]

Hi 203.220.72.109,

I'm the bot who is deleting {{Persondata}}. I noticed your edit on Fayhan al-Ghamdi in which you added {{Persondata}}. This template is deprecated and deleted. Please stop adding {{Persondata}}. In case you want to support the Persondata project you can help with the migration of the dataset to Wikidata at KasparBot's tool. See Wikipedia:Persondata or contact my operator T.seppelt in case you have any questions.

Thank you very much, -- KasparBot (talk) 01:00, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello 203.220.72.109, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Umayyad Caliphate have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:04, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem icon Your addition to Ka'ab al-Ahbar has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
