Information icon Hello, I'm Ashleyyoursmile. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Agra Metro, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Ashleyyoursmile! 16:13, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mopa Airport, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chandel. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi. Please refrain from using names against WP:COMMONNAME as you did at Bangalore–Chennai Expressway Special:Diff/1044158824/1045172533. I'm not sure if it was clear when I reverted your changes of Allahabad–>Prayagraj. Control copyright icon Hello Alotorus! Your additions to Velana International Airport have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Signed,The4lines |||| (Talk) (Contributions) 16:46, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't copy content from other websites

[edit]

Hello. I am Moneytrees and I am a Wikipedia administrator. Text you find online is almost always copyrighted, and cannot be copied here; it's against the copyright policy of this website to do so. After I revision deleted the copyrighted content you added to Velana International Airport, I went through previous edits of yours to see if you had previously copied content from sources. Here's what I found, and removed:

All text must be written in your own words. The Wikipedia copyright policy and its application are complex matters, and you should not edit any more until you have taken the time to read and understand our copyright policy. There's a simplified version of our copyright rules at Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright. Further copyright issues will result in you being blocked from editing. If you have any questions, please ask, I will try to respond as soon as possible. Moneytrees🏝️Talk/CCI guide 04:21, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

When adding links to material on external sites, as you did to Chenab Rail Bridge, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube or Sci-Hub, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. — DaxServer (t · c) 14:05, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making inappropriate edit's in airlines and destinations section of Deoghar airport as you repeatedly adding multiple layover flight in that section which clearly violates Wikipedia policy as only non stop flights are to be considered for that. Do check other airports Wikipedia page for your reference. Flashthomsom (talk) 13:26, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It is non-stop as well as connecting, for your kind information. Please check the citation website by translating the site to English. Alotorus (talk) 13:33, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The citation you provided is not reliable first of all. The prabhat khabar provide misleading news most of time. Please check Jharsuguda Airport and Rajamundry airport. Do you find any sort of layover flights mentioned there rather other than direct one's Flashthomsom (talk) 14:34, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't provide any fake, misleading or inappropriate news reports. It is fully reliable. For your kind information, the flights will be both layover flights and direct flights, as mentioned in the news report itself. The news agency which provided the report, is one of the best local news agencies in India. Alotorus (talk) 15:09, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Then why most of the airport in india don't have their connecting flight mention in destination section. Flashthomsom (talk) 15:44, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Go check out nearest darbhanga airport, did you find any lay-over flights mentioned there ? You will only find the direct one's because it's very obvious that airport will interconnected via each other by some layover, that doest mean that you can all that destination in that list. Use common sense !! Flashthomsom (talk) 16:15, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The flights will be DIRECT as well as LAYOVER/CONNECTING, for your kind information. Even if it is a layover flight, it should be mentioned in all airport destination lists. Please mind your language, the way you have written, is completely inappropriate. Alotorus (talk) 05:09, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Never use the word 'Use common sense !!' in that manner, or else there will be a negative impression on you from all sides. Alotorus (talk) 05:11, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Give me any airport name where you see connecting flights are mentioned. Flashthomsom (talk) 06:48, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For example, check in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport's destination list. In Air Canada's section, you will find that a connecting flight will begin from Mumbai to London Heathrow Airport from 29 October 2022. The flight will be a CONNECTING/LAYOVER flight, as it will go to Toronto from Mumbai via London Heathrow Airport, daily, as a stopover. Alotorus (talk) 06:56, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Deoghar Airport. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Only direct flights

[edit]

This edit, is incorrect. We do not add connecting flights/airports. Only direct fights. The source specifically says that - "दिल्ली के साथ-साथ मुंबई, चेन्नई व बेंगलुरु के लिए देवघर एयरपोर्ट से कनेक्टिंग फ्लाइट की सुविधा दी जा रही है". Revert your additions please. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:29, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This one also is a connecting flight. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:32, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on ———— requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Phang-Nga—Andaman International Airport. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Phang Nga airport. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Phang Nga airport. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Paul_012 (talk) 17:19, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Alotorus (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am sorry for the disruptive editing I did in that article. I really realise my mistake now and I want myself to be unblocked. Now I have realised, that Wikipedia, as everyone knows, is a free encyclopaedia where everyone can read and edit articles freely, and if engaged in disruptions and disputes by editing articles against other editors, it will result in this.

I promise truly, from the next time, that I will not engage in a single dispute with any editor. Please, give me a single chance. I really promise you and myself that I will never misuse it. If my request is accepted, I will be very grateful. Thank you. Alotorus (talk) 06:50, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

We will need more than your promise- many people tell us they want "one chance" to prove themselves and they often blow it. I don't want to see that happen to you, so please be more specific about how you were disruptive and what you will do to avoid that again in the future, such as how you will resolve disputes without edit warring and how you will properly source contributions. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:55, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Alotorus (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

reason: I will resolve disputes without edit warring such as leaving further editing which will arise conflicts with others, and will not edit war even if I am correct, I will properly source contributions by accepting other editors opinions and working by collaborating with each other and working cooperatively with no conflicts or disputes with each other, and if anyone does so, I will try to resolve them with the help of an administrator, and will end such issues at the earliest. These are my promises. I will really fulfill them. If I get oy a single chance, I will never misuse it, and if I do it, then any administrator will block me immediately and will never unblock me. I really do promise it. If my above mentioned points get accepted, I would be really grateful to it. Thank you.

Decline reason:

No, this is not how you should resolve conflicts. Please reread Wikipedia:Consensus. Yamla (talk) 10:43, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

reason: I have thoroughly gone through the consensus that you advised me to check. It states that all editors must follow the consensus steps, which is similar to Law-makers of a country. They are also subject to rules and they must not engage with any type of conflict or dispute within themselves. The goal is to resolve disputes in a way that reflects Wikipedia's goals and policies while cooperating with editors. Editors with good social skills and good negotiation skills result in productive outcomes. Decision making and reaching consensus involve an effort to incorporate all editors' concerns, and always keeping in mind Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Substantive, informative explanations indicate what issues need to be addressed in subsequent efforts to reach consensus. Explanations are especially important when reverting another editor's good-faith work. This is how all editors should work with collaboration and cooperation with each other on Wikipedia. If anyone caught disputing or conflicting, they should be first warned, and if still not affected, then must be punished. I have understood everything perfectly. So, please, I request myself to be unblocked. I am promising really that I will never engage in any disruptive activities with anyone, and will work only according to the consensus mentioned above. If my request and points receive approval, I will be very grateful. Thank you.

Request reason:

reason:Due to repetitive disruptive editing for three consecutive warnings I have been blocked by an administrator indefinitely with no fixed duration for the block. Now, I have accepted and realised the mistake that I did as I did not know the consequences. I have gone through the consensus after the advisory of an administrator on how should I resolve disputes and create productive content on Wikipedia. It states on how to follow the rules sincerely and properly to edit on Wikipedia with fellow editors without creating any disruptions or disputes with each other, and if did, then will the result will be given by an administrator so that that editor cannot create disputes anymore. I am promising truly, that if I get only one more chance, I will not misuse it anymore, and even if I do, I will think twice, and then only, will l edit with editors cooperatively on Wikipedia. I have requested three times for unblocking me, but without any response still now, and it has been over two days since I am blocked. So, I request all respected administrators working on Wikipedia to unblock me, and give me a second and last chance. I promise to all of you and myself that I will never take advantage of the second chance again as I did before. If my request gets accepted, I will be humbly grateful to all respected administrators and will fulfill the promise. Thank you.

STOP. You have three (!!!) open unblock requests. And stop pinging me. I've already reviewed one of your requests, so another admin will review whichever ONE of the three (!!!) open unblock requests you actually want to be reviewed. --Yamla (talk) 09:32, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Yamla: Please, give me a second chance, I request humbly that I will work with the rules that I promised to follow which must be followed by all editors, the consensus. I truly promise you and myself that whenever I edit on Wikipedia I will never dispute or edit war with any other editor and will work strictly according to the consensus, and will make full and proper use of the second chance. I really don't want to disturb you and you might be thinking that if you unblock me, I will redo the unwanted actions again, but I promise that I will never do it again. As you are one of the many, highly experienced and respected admins on Wikipedia for decades, and also as you are in contact with me, only you can help me to unblock myself, I really request and promise as described above. Please, if you accept my request, I will be really grateful. Thank you. Alotorus (talk) 15:12, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have closed two of the requests, because Yamla is correct. I strongly encourage you to stop groveling and not make "humble requests"--you can just ask--or try to butter up the admins here. We're all highly experienced and respected, but saying that won't make it any more likely that you will be unblocked. I am not going to decide on your last unblock request, because I just went through your edits and I don't really see whether they're worth the price of disruption. PhilKnight, no one is more experienced and respected than you--do you have any new thoughts? Drmies (talk) 15:22, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Drmies: I am very sorry for whatever I have done and for that reason I have been blocked. Please, forgive me, give me a second chance, I request humbly that I will work with the rules that I promised to follow which must be followed by all editors, the consensus. I really give you a real assurance, request and promise as described above. Please, if you accept my request, I will be really grateful. Thank you. Alotorus (talk) 12:11, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Drmies: - Thanks for the kind words. I am inclined to give him a last chance. Unblocks are cheap, and this would be a final chance to show he can edit constructively. PhilKnight (talk) 16:42, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@PhilKnight: Thank you very much, sir, for accepting my request. I am surely promising that I will make a full proper use as I promised before of the final chance. Alotorus (talk) 05:47, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please indent your posts by adding colons (:) see WP:INDENT for details. I have not unblocked you, as the blocking admin, I will leave that to another admin. PhilKnight (talk) 16:28, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@PhilKnight: Sir, if you don't mind, then could you please unblock me, as there is no response from anyone and it's been over 4-5 days since you assured me. So, I am sending an unblock request so that you approve and unblock me. If you or any other admin who sees the request and approves it, I will be grateful. Expecting for a quick reply. Thank you.:Alotorus (talk) 12:59, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are still not indenting your posts. I am not going to unblock you. You need to post a fresh unblock request. PhilKnight (talk) 14:27, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Despite earlier warnings to only have one open unblock request at a time, you now have two. Which one do you want admins to review? Are you sufficiently capable to close one of the two open unblock requests yourself? --Yamla (talk) 13:09, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Now three: UTRS appeal #67114, which I just declined. --Yamla (talk) 13:12, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Yamla: No, sir, I am certainly not at all capable of unblocking myself as the blocked user as all administrators have that power only, to do so. If you advise, then I will not add anymore unblock requests. I am sorry to do that. I accept your request without any problem. I want to review only the one I sent to PhilKnight. I have removed the earlier request. Alotorus (talk) 13:18, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Sorry, I'm declining on CIR grounds. While I don't doubt that you are sincere about wanting to follow the rules, the warnings that litter your talk page (including multiple copyright violations, which are a legal liability for us as a website and a reason to block in themselves), your multiple simultaneous requests, and inability to indent properly suggests to me that you would not be a net positive to the encyclopedia if unblocked.

My advice to you would be to wait six months or more, and then request a standard offer unblock. Making positive contributions to other language Wikipedias or other Wikimedia projects will significantly increase the chances of further appeals being accepted. signed, Rosguill talk 02:24, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
