Forget Self-Help: Re-Examining the Golden Rule

Bkissin,

I understand Forget Self-Help: Re-Examining the Golden Rule was declined because it was a duplicate. Do you have any idea when the other submission will be reviewed? Is there a back-log of four months? Thanks.

Declining Submitted page for artist Keysha Freshh

Hi Bkissin, I am creating a page for this artist whom you cited questions of Solo Notability for artist separate from the group but group was founded partly on this artist Notability. You mentioned that a separate artist from the group has been featured in Complex in comparison for notability. In my research, I found that the artist Keysha Freshh has also been featured in Complex, twice. Will update the article to reflect this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Publiccriticto (talkcontribs) 21:19, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

With the increased visibility of RWA in the news, it's been noticed that there wasn't an article on the founder Draft:Vivian_Stephens. I wrote one up today and when I went to create it, I found a draft already in the works when I went to submit it. So I added any additional things I'd found and rearranged it to fit more in line with WP:BIO recs. Thanks 2600:1702:33F0:24A0:A847:BD47:CCBA:D92B (talk) 00:02, 10 January 2020 (UTC)

Declined Draft: Wakefield 1998 Paper Fraud

I saw this draft was recently declined due to the existence of a related page, Lancet MMR autism fraud. I am certainly happy to try and contribute this work to Wikipedia in whatever way is most appropriate.

I notice that the existing page focuses primarily on some of the history and news reports. My page was intended to focus entirely on the actual frauds committed in the 1998 paper, using sources as close to primary as possible. I think it is important to cite to the primary sources, or as close as possible, in a case like this to help clarify the truth. For example, the existing page does not actually spell out the specific scientific data which was falsified.

I could certainly integrate all this into the existing page, though that would tend to make it rather long. I would suggest a separate article on the actual frauds in the paper might be a good accompaniment to the existing article, with perhaps some content there which would be duplicative removed and references to the new page.

I also note that the article on Andrew Wakefield also contains some information regarding this fraud, but does not cross-link to Lancet MMR autism fraud, which is one of the reasons I was unaware of this other page. This also could perhaps be integrated into these other pages.

PeterNSteinmetz (talk) 21:33, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

I would suggest you do both (merge some of the contents into the Lancet MMR fraud article and cross link to Andrew Wakefield. If there are objections or concerns about the article being too long, those can be addressed on the talk page of the article. Bkissin (talk) 21:36, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

I now incorporated most of the details of the fraud into the first part of the main article, as I think this is the main points about the title subject. Moved the history of the controversy to a bit later. PeterNSteinmetz (talk) 21:31, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

Stuart H. Scott

Dear Bkissin, we had not forgotten Wikipedia and talked about what to do next, to fortify the submittal from six months ago, for Stuart H. Scott. He is recently returned, from COP25 in Madrid (UN sponsored climate talks(, which was also attended by famed climate strike school activist, Greta Thunberg and Dr. James E. Hansen, and resuming treatment for throat cancer, at the Mayo clinic.

Of course, I went into the query to restore the page, and woefully told it is gone. The next step I believe, is to humbly ask you to restore detailed in hand work, so that we can continue to work on it actively.

I understand, Wiki drafts in Sandbox are NOT to for perpetual web hosting.

This is for my initial work, on Stuart H. Scott, climate activist and futurist. Of course, I have word versions stored, but without all the html, that I can see, which was carefully referenced and elaborated, whereby we were seeking in the last few weeks, to fortify our pending entry with new citations and references.

We humbly submit this request, kind Regards, David Korn, Team, ScientistsWarning.org — Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidKorn.SpecialProjects (talkcontribs) 06:59, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

WHY ONE OF THE ARTICLES I EDITED HAS BEEN DELETED

Hello I want to ask why the article with the name Clement Afolayan had been deleted several times, which part of the write up needs citation ? Tosan45 (talk) 14:28, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

Umm... I just accepted it as an article. I'm not sure why you're upset. The article probably needs more sources about Dr. Afolayan himself, rather than about the Nigerian automotive industry. But otherwise I thought it met the standards to be accepted. Bkissin (talk) 15:08, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

Got checked? article Rejection

Hello Bkissin, Can i know more why was the article rejected? It has references from government websites and news articles of some prominent news agencies. Many activist are currently engaged to create breast cancer awareness so we can prevent this horrible disease at a primary level. Shanons law is something that can create a day dedicated to breast cancer and lead a huge impact on our society. It will assist if you can positively contribute to this article. We currently have no intentions to make it a promotional article or creating a brand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.90.201.230 (talk) 16:32, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

sufficient content

You say https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:United_States_threat_for_destruction_of_Iranian_cultural_sites "does not have sufficient content to require an article of its own", but if that is true, then why there are so many sources about it? It is even called "historic" by a scholar.[1] It is about a potential war crime with so many worldwide reactions. If it is important enough that heads of governments and international organizations reacted to it, then it is important enough to require an article of its own.Shawarsh (talk) 19:27, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for your message

Dear, Bkissin Thanks for your review after submit article form my sandbox. I'm not very old Wikipedian. So I try to learn something from the message of experienced people like you. In this article, your review message was about neutrality. I have clean up promotional/advertisement information from the article. Even then, there are some ‍advertisement sentences you can fix. So that I can learn from your edit history. I will request to review the article one more time before submitting it again.--DelwarHossain (talk) 20:25, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi DelwarHossain. The article looks much better now. There are a couple issues with the English, but that can be fixed after the article is submitted. Thank you for understanding why we need to keep articles neutral. Often people with a conflict of interest (usually a family member, friend or fan of the person) will try to make a Wikipedia article for them meant to praise them unconditionally, which is not the goal of the encyclopedia. Also, many people who try to make Wikipedia articles about their friends and relatives lack the notability to be on the site (i.e. they are not well-known enough). However, I think Mohammad might have a chance of being accepted as an article, since he is a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer and the first from Bangladesh. Thanks ‍again for helpful activeness, I understand this, because of i active in bn.wiki. --DelwarHossain (talk) 21:46, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

You submitted this draft to AFC for re-review. Do you think that it is ready for re-review? Has the game been released? (Did you submit it for re-review by accident?) Do you think that it should be accepted at this time? Robert McClenon (talk) 01:58, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

I figured that now that we're in 2020, that we can see if there the issues of WP:TOOSOON can be assuaged with better more recent sources. If not, then it's back to G13 Bkissin (talk) 13:46, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
User:Bkissin - Well, if the game has been released, it can be evaluated. It appears that the game is still unreleased, in which case I will decline it again. The too soon issue that I see is really a crystal ball issue, because articles on unreleased stuff (regardless of what sort of stuff) are usually either promotional hype in advance of the release, or crystal ball gazing. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:48, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

Hello Bkissin I'd like to talk about a draft of mine that you may have declined a bit pre-maturely Haley Adams is a reknown reactionary alt-lite figure in the Portland area who definetly tries really hard to be an alt right figure, I'm not entirely sure what qualifies enough for notability for this person but they have been able to become fairly reknown through social media, Rose city antifa articles were just a way to complie info, as Haley might be more reknown for the only one event she did to launch her nonprofit.--Moredps (talk) 15:40, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

Please note, this reason for declining is reserved specifically for Biographies of Living People. Tricky question

I don't think she's notable because almost everything is a name drop. But I am probably the wrong person to ask about anything Thiru related at this point. As a side note, what Bearcat said in the first AFD (specifically the unsuccessful run) is spot on, especially when you look at Maryland, particularly Baltimore's political scene. As an example, Baltimore's mayoral race up until a week ago had 25 candidates. This is important because running for office here is basically what everyone who is over 18 does eventually and few are actually notable. I don't see any changes locally or nationally in terms of coverage of her and based on the draft, I'm not sure what the claim of notability is aside from trying to WP:COATRACK the position under Michelle Obama. Praxidicae (talk) 18:29, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

Thanks Praxidicae, that's basically what I thought as well. I didn't want to suggest possible PAID or anything like that from a campaign or connected office. She wouldn't meet WP:NPOL, and that hasn't changed. Whether her role as head of Lutheran Refugee Services is notable (provided that the article is trimmed of all self-promotion), is highly debateable. Thanks for your expertise! I moved from College Park down into the District back in June, so I figured I would let a native handle this one! Bkissin (talk) 16:11, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Lord Hyeamang

Why did you decline Draft:Lord Hyeamang? Clearly passes WP:NGRIDIRON per [2] Joeykai (talk) 22:56, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Because that is not clearly laid out in the article. The article as it currently stands says that he was on the practice squad for the Alouettes, which would not pass NGRIDIRON because he has not played a CFL game. The link you provided says that he's made two regular-season CFL positions, which would allow him to pass. But it's not my responsibility to do your work for you. Show he passes NGRIDIRON in the article and resubmit. Bkissin (talk) 01:14, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for your help

Thanks Bkissin. For including the link to the right 'how to properly write a page' info. That was very helpful! I learned a lot. I have now included a proper introduction. And structured the article better - through the Headings. I hope to have deleted the 'peacockery'. But we did receive praise from the authorities, and that has been reflected in two "quotes" (referenced) - I hope that is acceptable. Cheers for the review. Here's hoping we're there... :-) Arjanvanderboon (talk) 07:13, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

Hush coin

Dear Bkissin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Hush

This is the first time someone created a Hush coin page, no page like it exists on Wiki, why was it rejected. Maybe Hush exist in other categories like music etc.. but not cryptocurrency. I am surprised, what actually went wrong with the page?

Improving the article

Dear Bkissin,

I am editing the draft of Showdown, an article that you declined a few days ago. Most part of the information I have included in the article are extracted directly from the credits of the episode, therefore I cannot include any other references than the ones I have already included.

About this, looking for other articles of the same topic in order to improve mine, I realized that most of them have multiple issues. For example, the only information we find in their articles is the plot of the episode, or the only reference they include is a external link to the episode in IMBd. For this reason, it is hard for me to understand why those articles are published in Wikipedia and not mine.

I let here some links so you can check them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nothing_Good_Happens_After_2_A.M. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bachelor_Party_(How_I_Met_Your_Mother) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_Stamina

And finally, answering to your question, it is a sitcom -less in some episodes nothing "relevant" to the future of the characters happens. But if I had to say a thing, I would say that this episode is important because the spectator discovers more about Barney's childhood, and why he acts the way he does.

Best regards, 95.17.8.189 (talk) 08:51, 14 April 2020 (UTC)

Hello. The entry "Bilal Orfali" is totally outdated and needs major revisions. Can you help me make the changes? I suggest: 1- updating the academic positions 2- deleting the bibliography 3- use the following text:

Draft: Krish O'Mara Vignarajah

Hi Bkissin! Just wanted to flag that I've made some significant improvements to this page (Krish O'Mara Vignarajah). I did indeed see some language bordering on self-promotional, so have removed anything that cannot be validated with mainstream, established primary sources. Given the subject's presence in Congressional testimony, national media outlets (NY Times, Washington Post, NPR, USA Today, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire) as well as regional flagship outlets (Baltimore Sun, Miami Herald, Atlanta Journal Constitution), I believe this page now meets the notability criteria. Can you have another look when you have a minute? Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Speedy deletion declined: Draft:Lynley Wallis

Hello Bkissin. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Lynley Wallis, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The copywrite infringement claims I'm not really seeing; most of the matches are from the bibilography and you can't rename a book title. . Thank you. GedUK  20:01, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Dear, I understand that you recently tried your best to get the article Belgian Railways Class 52 published. It was rejected by a bunch of semi-vandalist civil servants who interpreted their book of law in the most negative way possible. Your efforts are much appreciated, but were unfortunately wasted. I have long given up on creating new articles. If negativists want to reject my work instead of improving on it, I will have to live with that. As one of them stated, creating new articles is perhaps not my thing - I won't be trying again, so much is for sure. I thoroughly regret having tried and spent such a lot of effort. No blame on you, though, at the contrary. Keep up the constructive approach! Jan olieslagers (talk) 15:52, 29 April 2020 (UTC)

Rejected article - a little bit of help to make my amendments if possible

Hey Bkissin

Thanks for reviewing my submission so quickly. This is my first page for wikipedia having only managed edits before. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Alexa_Shoen I based the whole article on this page here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Gannon and I was wondering if you might help with a bit more info on what's different.

Thank you - I really appreciate everything you do.

salidatious / 30 April 2020

(TPS) @Salidatious: Per the general notability guideline, there needs to be significant coverage in multiple (at least 2) independent, reliable sources in the article. Works that are from the subject of the article, or are by people who are connected to the subject (including a publisher selling her book), don't count because they're not independent of the subject. Significant coverage means that the topic is addressed directly and in detail. I only see one source that is independent and provides significant coverage (ref 14). I'm not sure about the reliability of the source, but you should find another source that addresses the subject directly and is independent of them before resubmitting. Username6892 17:27, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
Well put, Username6892. Salidatious, my main concern was around the promotional tone of the article. Right out the gate with the Alexa Shoen article it comes across as if the subject paid someone to write a glowing wikipedia article about them. We deal in neutral point of view here at Wikipedia. As for the Emma Gannon piece, I can't speak to other stuff, but it seems as if that one may have some notability issues of its own. On a positive note, the article is well-formatted, so you are on the right track with those edits. Bkissin (talk) 20:10, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

Draft: Joey De Jesus declined

Bkissin,

I'm curious about your decision to decline this proposed article on Joey De Jesus. They've received a similar amount of attention and honors as poets Muriel Leung and Emmy Pérez, in addition to politician Jenifer Rajkumar, all of whom have Wikipedia pages. Additionally, they fall within the guidelines proposed by the Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies/Task forces/Person for notability; there's a still ongoing bias against LGBT persons in terms of extant Wikipedia pages that this page remedies.

I'm also curious about the "advertisement" comment; all language was neutral in tone or directly quoted third parties. Please respond and consider marking this article for consideration again!

Thank you, Zefrrr (talk) 22:25, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

The subject of this article already exists in Wikipedia?

Dear Bkissin,

My article hasn´t been accepted due to, quoting you: "the subject of this article already exists in Wikipedia. You can find it and improve it at Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest 1963 instead." However, I can´t seem to find that page. 1961 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yugoslavia_in_the_Eurovision_Song_Contest_1961), 1962 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yugoslavia_in_the_Eurovision_Song_Contest_1962), 1964 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yugoslavia_in_the_Eurovision_Song_Contest_1964) do have their own articles, 1963 doesn´t. When I click on the 1963, I instead get redirected to the main article: "Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest". I am quite new to Wikipedia, so could you please help me to find the article you are referring to?

Regards, Taurussweden

Ahh, I didn't see that before. It looks like it's a redirect to the Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest page. My mistake. I'll get the bureaucratic steps moving to fix that redirect, and once that is all set, then the article should be good to accept. Thank you for your patience! Bkissin (talk) 14:12, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Draft: Waukauyengtipu

Hello. Raja Ghulam Khan- Jageerdar Bahali

[1]== Feudal lord- Raja Ghulam Khan[2]- A Philomath and a Promising Personality( JAGIRDAR OF BAHALI[3]) ==

The time when Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and other dignitaries wanted to equip the Muslims of India with modern knowledge, the establishment of GPS BAHALI in 1882[4][5] was in series of same effort. It is one of the first school that was established during the British rule. The unique thing about school establishments was the personal interest of the Landlord here and all the other schools except GPS BAHALI were the result of personal efforts of the government. The era of feudal lords when the people of the state were kept away from education in order to maintain their rule. In the same vein, the feudal lord of Bahali[6] was also advised by the surrounding feudal lords and Nawabs to oppose the establishment of school as such measures are a threat to the feudal system and will create awareness in the society . He refused to accept the idea and said that i could not deprive the society for domination of my race and nation. And his personal interest laid the foundation of this school. And according to his will his shrine was kept adjacent to the school building.

Today, while many other schools are striving for the promotion of education and awareness in the area , the efforts of this personality will always be remembered.

Having looked at some other housing estate pages that are designated as "Good Article" status on WikiProject London, or even "Featured Article" status on WikiProject Social Housing such as Knowle West, new pictures and sections have been added and I was wondering if it might be possible to upgrade its class or possibly give me some advice on how to get it to encyclopaedic class? UK MPs 1910s/1920s

There is a real problem with these 'PatGallacher' additions. They are worse than useless. They give the impression Wikipedia has a page on them when it only has a useless page without references (except a lazy nod to F. W. S. Craig, except we don't know if the reference given - won or lost - is actually anything to do with Craig)

I have gone back only as far as 'PatGallacher' additions made between 13 and 26 May to illustrate this (below).

My view is it would be better to delete the entire lot and leave them as red links than leave these utterly useless articles up. Marplesmustgo (talk) 00:21, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
