Draft:Francis J. Voyticky Review

Hi Bkissin!

Thanks for reviewing my draft on Francis J. Voyticky. I'm curious about two things:

1. Does the fact that he helped found the Trolley Museum of New York make him more notable? I can edit the draft to highlight this a bit more. More info here.

2. Is he notable as a previous Deputy Chief Clerk of the Brooklyn Board of Elections?

Thanks for your time!

Draft:VTV7

Sorry for bothering you, but I think there are no references from non-VTV websites.  Cinderace Galar  I am a Pokémon Trainer! 16:31, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi Cinderace Galar, thanks for letting me know so politely! Let me explain my reasoning. When we are trying to determine whether something is notable, we are more interested in what other people have to say about a subject rather than what the subject has to say about itself. VTV probably thinks that VTV7 is important, they own it! :) I'll talk to a couple of the other reviewers and see if there is anything we can do, but without those independent sources, it will probably continue to be declined. Bkissin (talk) 20:00, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
Actually Cinderace Galar, I took a look at some of the sources referenced in the Vietnamese version of the article. I don't understand Vietnamese, but from the looks of it, references 5-8 don't seem like they are affiliate with VTV, is there any way to incorporate those into the draft? Bkissin (talk) 20:05, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
Bkissin Thank you. I will edit it.  Cinderace Galar  I am a Pokémon Trainer! 02:27, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

Party For Animal Welfare

Hello Bkissin, I am disappointed that you decided to decline a factual listing in Wikipedia. PAW is a registered political party, similar to all the others listed. What's the problem? Kinndi (talk) 15:39, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Kinndi, Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view. The draft that currently exists sounds more like promotional material for the party. As well, information should be sourced from reliable sources independent of the party. The only sources on the current version of the draft are from the party itself. Kinndi (talk) 15:45, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Thank you Username6892, that was exactly my point! Kinndi, We care more about what other sources say about the Party (RTE, Irish Times, Guardian, etc.) than we do about what the party says about itself (unless we are talking about its general ideological points). Look at Consensus Ontario, Parti durable du Quebec, (both created by me) or the Irish Democratic Party. All three of these minor parties are registered with the Elections authority in their region, but have references and sources apart from their website. Bkissin (talk) 15:52, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Not to worry. I'm not a member of the party and was only doing a favour for a friend who is. We were under the impression that Wikipedia wanted to add facts such as a new political party being registered and that someone with more time to spare than I have would edit it on behalf of Wikipedia. Maryam Abad

Hi I’m a new page patroller and I see that on 8 June you accepted Maryam Abad at AfC and moved it to mainspace. I had previously moved it to draft along with a list of other articles created by user:Alialigalig because they were all bullshit. The places that were the topics of the articles pretty certainly exist but the content is mostly just made up and the sources are cut and pasted from one article to another and bear no relation to the text they allegedly support. Take a look at the first three sources cited in this article and I think you’ll agree they bear no relation to the article text. After I’d moved all this to draft the creator was then blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet. So tbh I’m here on your talk page as I’m somewhat surprised to see this article accepted at AfC! No worries Cinderace Galar! Exams are much more important! As long as you keep working on it, it won't get deleted. Erbil 1 Tower

Hello dear,

You make a valid statement regarding the addition of secondary sources. However I have provided the secondary source (rudaw.net), one of the better known broadcasting networks of the region, which although is in Kurdish, it writes about the project in full and has provided a gallery of pictures regrading the groundbreaking ceremony that took place and also interviews with many of the designers involved with the project.

I would like some advice regarding what you are looking for in these sources, or why these are not valid enough. thank you for your time Regards, Mohamed Soran (talk) 18:54, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

Chonee Mohamed Soran! I was just looking for more sources like that, if possible! I don't care if the sources are in Kurdish or English, but Wikipedia seems to care more about what other people have to say about a topic rather than what a topic has to say about itself. I know that's a little confusing, but does that make sense? Bkissin (talk) 20:14, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

The Iris Network

Hello Bkissin, thank you for reviewing my article. I have really enjoyed learning to use Wikipedia and hope to continue onward. My question is, when you do a Google search for "The Iris Network wiki", it brings up the article's Talk page, not the main page itself. Can this be fixed somehow? I did try to find the answer but could not come up with anything relevant. Thanks again! Btbky (talk) 20:54, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

Draft:1975 Cupa României Final

I created the "Draft:1975 Cupa României Final" and my submission was declined by you, the argument gave being: "Article has been create-protected due to multiple submissions by a now-blocked user."... I don't understand, I have a few questions:

1.It says that if I don't resolve this issue, the draft will not be accepted but what can I do to fix this problem?

2.For me it doesn't make any sense, if a bad user or a troll creates badly a page, that page will forever be banned for creation? I put five good sources and a match report, which is better than most Romanian Cup finals have, but I can't control what happened in the past with "those multiple submissions by a now-blocked user".

3.Let's say a young footballer's page is created by such a user, the page is deleted, but later the footballer becomes the best footballer in the world, he won't have a wikipedia page? (User:Sebi1990) (talk)

User:Sebi1990, User:Bkissin - On researching this, I see that what happened is that the banned user, Alexiulian25, created the article four times, via sockpuppets. It was create-protected for one month after three creates and deletes, and then created by another sock after it came off create-protect, and had to be create-protected indefinitely. This is a case where indefinite does not mean infinite. There is in fact now a better tool for administrators to use in such cases, which is ECP, which create-protects the title against inexperienced editors, which includes sockpuppets. However, since this was protected in the way that was necessary at the time, the answer is either to ask one of the create-protecting administrators to unprotect it, or to request the community to unprotect it at DRV. The protecting administrators appear to be Ricky81682, who is no longer an admin, User:Bbb23, and User:Yamaguchi先生. So: A page created badly by a troll or bad user is not forever banned, because it is protected until it is unprotected. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:31, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
User:Sebi1990, User:Bkissin - It appears that none of the three protecting admins are active administrators any longer. One was desysopped, one is an occasional administrator, and one has retired following a dispute. The next step, which I am about to do, is to request unprotection via Requests for Protection. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:49, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
User:Sebi1990 has filed a request at DRV, which is one of the right ways to deal with this. I will concur with the request at DRV, and will accept the draft as soon as DRV reverses the create protection. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:59, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
Good thinking Sebi1990! I like the draft, and I would be happy to accept it once all the bureaucratic issues are taken care of. Bkissin (talk) 18:10, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

I've moved the redirect into hyperspace. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:49, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

Draft:The Three Percenters - Original

Hi Bkissin, thank you for your commentary to improve my the draft of the recent article I submitted. I will work on the improvements you suggested. I have a question regarding your comment that this subject already exists in wikipedia, however. I did review the Three Percenter page already available in Wikipedia. The information presented lumps many different types of groups together as one large group, when in fact many different and separate entities exist that vary in structure, purpose and values. This is partially due to confusion contained within information the SPLC-related sources used, and the ubiquity of the Three Percenter moniker. Two examples of this is the website URL and logo listed in the infobox on the current Three Percenters wikipage. The website listed is the one of the group that refers to themselves as The Three Percenters - Original, but the infobox neglects to mention websites that exist for groups like the III% Security Force (http://www.iiisecurityforce.com) or Three Percenter Republic (https://www.facebook.com/ThreePercentRepublic/). Also, the logo shown is not the logo of The Three Percenters - Original group, it is an unspecified, generalized flag from Three Percenter movement that has been used off and on by multiple groups.

So as you can see, the landscape for "Three Percenter" groups is more complicated than the current wikipedia page demonstrates, which is why I chose to begin with a separate page for just The Three Percenters - Originals. Without substantial editing to the existing page, how should I begin to clarify this problem? Thank you so much for your thoughts, any and all suggestions are welcome. For your convenience, the draft I am referring to follows: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:The_Three_Percenters_-_Original

Yes. The draft currently doesn't make that claim. After I declined the draft but said that it could be accepted when that claim was substantiated, the link to the House of Representatives of the Netherlands was removed from the infobox. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:20, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

Declining article on Waco Fire Department

I am curious, how is an article pertaining to a public service department in a municipal government seen as an advertisement? That is strange, since the entire article simply lists the history of a fire service department, and the current services that they provide the citizens of that area. Declining the article on the premise of Spam Advertisement is quite a ridiculous stretch, and I believe only shows that you didn't actually pay attention to the content, and also have no knowledge of the subject matter. 1836Texas~Republic1846 (talk) 19:01, 3 August 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Reddit NSFW master list

people could've also gone to r/NSFW411. Regardless, this is not something that we need here.

I was not aware that the existence of a better source of information somehow discredited a different source of information. I was also not aware that reviewers of articles were supposed to be deciding what information was worthy of being deemed a "need". As far as I know, reviewers aren't meant to judge the intelectual worthiness of an article.

I have added a citation and have removed all other links to external sources. I have verified that my article in no way violates Wikipedia's rules and does not fall into any category that is listed in the What Wikipedia is not page. It didn't fall into any of those categories in the first place but I have made changes regardless. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slaight144 (talkcontribs) 22:52, 18 August 2020 (UTC)

Merging article on Mike Siegel into TX10

Hi Bkissin! As you suggest, I'll keep the article I wrote on Draft:Mike Siegel (politician) in my workspace, and we'll see what happens after the election. However, there is a reference to Mike Siegel on the page of the Congressional District where he's running: Texas's 10th congressional district. Draft: Battle For Dream Island - I believe Battle For Dream Island is notable enough for a page

Hello. I noticed that a couple of months ago you rejected the draft for the Wikipedia page of the show "Battle For Dream Island". I would like to tell you the reasons why I think this show is notable enough for its own page.

For starters, the show has inspired an entire subgenre of web shows that, particularly on YouTube, have been incredibly prevalent on the internet. These include shows such as Inanimate Insanity, Brawl of the Objects, Object Overload, and more. While I think that most of the shows I listed are not notable enough for their own pages, I believe that the amount of them that have been created should say something about the shows notability.

Secondly, it is one of the only web series to have been running for over a decade. This is something not many other web shows have achieved, and the ones that have don't tend to still amass millions of views. I'm not saying it never happens, I'm just saying it's uncommon.

Also, I noticed you said the page is "contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia." In what way is it contrary to Wikipedias purpose? None of the points listed there seem to match with the page. Please tell me why you brought that up.

Thank you for your time. Inkpistachio (talk) 11:20, 31 August 2020 (UTC)

Hello

Hello. I've asked the person who moved the Chicks on the Right radio show article back to where it was. It was put in my page area by an administrator as a kind of placeholder because it was previously deleted. If you look at the history at my talk page, you will see the progression. It was moved there so I could work on it and improve it and it wouldn't be speedy deleted. I worked really hard on it yesterday to bring it up to Wiki standards. Many sources were added, a lot of new information was added, and the wording was improved along with some inconsistencies corrected. It would be a shame if it was just deleted and gone after all that work. I think it deserves to be re-considered as a permanent article. Thank you. Thanks for such a quick review. I appreciate your comments and would like to discuss how we can make it better. Draft - Vityaz-D Autonomous Underwater Vehicle

BK -- I've reduced the Vityaz article by about 50% and tried to eliminate any suggestion of enthusiasm. I'm not a fan of Russia; I am instead knowledgeable in the development of deep submergence technology, and see this as a significant development. My book on the bathyscaph Trieste is coming out under the US Naval Institute Press cachet (I hope before Christmas), and this Vityaz forms a useful bookend to the rather primative technology fielded in 1960 with the Trieste went to the bottom of the Challenger Deep.

I've also corrected the broken ref; and wikified the text. Draft draft=Draft:Bruse_Wane_(Rapper)}} Reconsideration For Inclusion

Good Evening, Bkissin(talk) I'm reaching out to you about your recent Decline of my Draft for draft=Draft:Bruse_Wane_(Rapper)}} Your reasons were noted, and addressed.

I believe this subject should be included in wikipedia and is notable per wikipedia's musicians and ensembles criteria guidelines. The musician meets as least one of the 12 "Criteria for musicians and ensembles"I have come to realization the links to some of the independent reliable sources were not working, when the submission was reviewed. They are now functioning, and Out of the 12 listed criteria for musicians and ensembles I believe the musicians meets the ones listed below for inclusion.

Line 10. Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, e.g., a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film, inclusion on a notable compilation album, etc. The musician had two songs featured on the 2017 commercial release of the "Universal Hip Hop's Museum Compilation Album" entitled "16 Bars 4 Hip Hop" Which featured other notable artist as well. The Universal Hip Hop Museum is internationally recognized as the curators of Hip Hop Music garnering worldwide press and praise. Redirects and links to independent sources and coverage of the musician appearing on this major compilation album has been updated.

line 12. Has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or television network. On 3 occasions the musician was the featured subject and guest on SiriusXM Satellite Radio ,which broadcast throughout the entire United States and internationally. He appeared on Sirius XM's premiere Hip Hop/Urban Platform show Eminem's shade45. The show only caters to established and notable artist in the filed of Hip Hop music. He was interviewed by the national and internationally wikipedia noted Disc jockey DJ KaySlay. links to independent sources and coverage has been updated to reflect this.

Line 4. Has received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country. The musician has also done numerous tours within the United States and The United Kingdom. We provided links/footage and independent references to him performing in London during his 2018 and 2019 international tour. links to independent sources and coverage has been updated to reflect this.

He was also recognized in 2014 By the national broadcasted American TV Network FuseTV as one of the 9 rappers named after comic Book Characters. links to independent sources and coverage has been updated.

I do believe this musician has met at least one criteria in the 12 stated and clearly outlined criteria for "musicians and ensembles" to be eligible for inclusion. Thank you, for your time and reconsideration.

Musicians or ensembles (this category includes bands, singers, rappers, orchestras, DJs, musical theatre groups, instrumentalists, etc.) may be notable if they meet at least one of the following criteria.

Draft - Al Fakher

Dear BKissin,

Thank you for taking the time to review the draft for the Al Fakher page.

There seems to be some interest in the category. For example, the hookah page has 50,000 page views per month, hoohah lounge gets about 2000 views per month, the mu´assel gets 7000 views per month and the shisha disambiguation page gets 10,000 views in 30 days. So i thought it would be an interesting addition to include information on some of the largest manufacturers.

Additionally, i added this page in english as it already exists on the German wikipedia page.

Is there anything you could suggest that i could do to get the page approved? There may be more references but these will likely be Arabic due to its location.

Many thanks CaseyJones121974 (talk) 06:38, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

DYK for Karen people in the United States

On 17 September 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Karen people in the United States, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the 2017 Bishop Maginn High School baseball team largely consisted of Karen refugees? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Karen people in the United States. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Karen people in the United States), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Draft:Bamohlala

Hi! I see you declined Draft:Bamohlala at AFC. While I agree with declining it, I'm confused as to why you say that "It is primarily designed to threaten, disparage or attack its subject. It is a biography of a living person that is unreferenced and entirely negative in tone. It is a page that is purely vandalistic in nature." It does not appear to be any of those things to me. It is nothing more than an external link to a website. I took a look at the website, and the website does not appear to be any of those things to me either. Is there something I'm missing or not seeing? ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 15:26, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Groundwire Ministry

I wrote an article about Groundwire Ministry by mailing to the Groundwire Ministry's leader, Leader mail is {sdunn@groundwire.net}.

I have been on their website for more than 1 year and I know what they do and what are they.
I am new here as an editor, I came here because I wanted to be part of something big like Wikipedia. Can you please tell me what should I do to add the reference list. I create it by emailing them and been on their website

Thank you.

Revised the previously declined page for Smartcar (company)

Dear Bkissin, thank you for reviewing the page for Smartcar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Smartcar_(company), I read over your reasoning and added additional references as you suggested. The references on this article, which include Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Engadget, Times of Israel and TechCrunch, are credible and independent sources, I hope you will now find. Please have a look at the updated article. I hope you find it to now be sufficiently qualifiable for Wikipedia. This company, Smartcar, is a well funded and growing company in a very fascinating new era of automotive transportation. I think it will be valuable to track the company's growth through this page. I think many young readers who are interested in perhaps working in STEM industries will be inspired by articles such as this one. It is my hope to write more articles about well-funded, growing start ups; this would be my second such published article, should you see it fit to be so. Please let me know. Thanks! Disambigution title

Hi

Sorry to bother you, I asked this from one editor too about this article Draft:Amanat_Ali_(born_1987). Is it possible to add (Saregamapa) as he was a runner up in SaReGamaPa 2007 instead of (born 1987)? If yes, who will do it? I am not an experienced member and I hope I will receive a response.

Thanks --103.12.122.136 (talk) 15:21, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

So, in order to change the name of an article you would use the Move function (which you might not have access to). I don't think that a page titled Amanat Ali (Saregamapa) would be understandable to anyone outside Pakistan, and Wikipedia is a global encyclopedia. We can't do Amanat Ali (singer) because all of the other Amanat Ali articles we have are also singers. I think Robert McClenon was correct in disambiguating it to Amanat Ali (born 1987). Bkissin (talk) 15:27, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
Yes. The usual first choice in disambiguating is occupation. As [[User:Bkissin] says, they are all singers. The usual second choice is nationality. There are multiple Pakistani singers. We only disambiguate by year of birth when we have no better disambiguation Robert McClenon (talk) 16:59, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
As an American, when reviewing a draft on a Pakistani, I ask what a British or New Zealand reader would find useful. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:59, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
I respect Robert, I am just asking, sorry to bother you, but SAREGAMAPA was an Indian show btw i have never seen anyone with a date of birth mention along with artist name (maybe) but he is from Faislabad as mentioned in the news so it could be his city name (Faisalabad)? i see three more Amanat Ali lol but big thanks for the clarification. I guess the editor will first approve the article.

You submitted this draft for AFC review on 13 October 2020. It appears that an article on the subject has been in article space for about a year. It also appears that this draft has been in the works for about a year. Is there any particular reason that you submitted the draft for review, or did you simply look at it and conclude that the subject satisfies political notability (which he does)?

Should the draft be redirected to the article, or should the draft be tagged for merging into the article?

Did you have a reason for submitting the draft, or did you just not notice that the article already exists?

Robert McClenon (talk) 21:15, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

I just didn't notice. Should I undo my submission? Would that reset the G13 timer? Bkissin (talk) 21:17, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
User:Bkissin - G13 doesn't apply. We can do one of two things. We can redirect the draft to the article, if we think that the draft is either the same as the article or a subset of the article. If we think that the draft contains any information that is not in the draft, we can tag the draft to be merged into the article. Robert McClenon (talk) 05:11, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, your probably right that a redirect is the best bet. Bkissin (talk) 13:19, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Review of Draft Article on Karl Linder

Hello Bikissin,

Thank you for the quick review. However, I was surprised to see that my draft article on Karl Linder was declined for notability, requiring the need for additional sources.

I relied on two sources that I have successfully used to produce several other Wikipedia biographical articles on gauleiters (which were not only accepted, but rated as C-class articles). These two sources are also cited in numerous other Wikipedia articles on individual gauleiters.

The Höffkes book has for decades been the premier German-language reference work on this subject. Similarly, the two-volume (soon to be three-volume) Miller & Schulz book is acknowledged to be the latest, and most comprehensive English-language reference work on the lives and careers of the gauleiters. It contains detailed accounts of their lives both before and during the Nazi regime. Neither source contains only “passing references” to their subjects. Both published sources are verifiable, reliable, independent, secondary sources on the topic.

With regard to the comment that you don't believe that Regional/local Gauleiters would meet WP:NPOL guideline, I offer the following for consideration:

• The guideline states that among those who are presumed to be notable are: ”Politicians and judges who have held international, national, or (for countries with federal or similar systems of government) state/province–wide office, or have been members of legislative bodies at those levels.”

• Germany was a Federal Republic and Hesse-Nassau was a province of Prussia under both the Weimar Republic and the Nazi regime.

• The gauleiter was the chief administrative official of the Nazi Party in his jurisdiction. He was appointed by Hitler and reported directly to him. In many cases, he also held the chief civil position in the province but, even when he did not, he wielded considerable authority as Hitler’s effective viceroy in the province.

• Karl Linder served as the Gauleiter or Deputy Gauleiter in Hesse-Nassau off-and-on for a total of about 13 years. Hesse-Nassau had a population of some 3.1 million people in 1941.

• In addition, for 4 years Linder was the Burgermeister of Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany’s fifth largest city with a population of over 555,000 people.

• He was a member of the Reichstag, the national parliament, from 1930 to 1945. He was also a member of the Hesse-Nassau provincial parliament and served as the Party’s faction leader in that body.

• He therefore held major “state/province–wide office” and was a member of the legislative bodies at provincial and national levels throughout the Weimar and Nazi regimes from 1926 to 1945.

• Wikipedia contains articles on roughly 90 other gauleiters. Many of these articles rely on both the Höffkes and the Miller & Schulz sources for information. Some rely on them exclusively.

I believe that the Karl Linder draft article demonstrates notability consistent with basic Wikipedia and specific WP:NPOL guidelines. As such, it deserves to be published alongside the scores of other similarly-sourced articles on gauleiters.

Please reconsider your decision in light of the above comments. I am available to discuss further. Thank you. Historybuff0105 (talk) 20:50, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

Draft: Erez Lev Ari

Your input on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Erez_Lev_Ari is much appreciated! I wasn't sure I should cite references that aren't in English for an English language entry but went ahead and did so as there are no other options at this time. Implemented your other suggestions and re-submitted. Stay safe, Sukey (talk) 08:52, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

Boker Tov Sukey! Yeah, non-English references are fine in English Wikipedia (for the most part). It gets a little more difficult when someone cites a book or television program in another language, because then many reviewers don't have Google Translate or they don't have access to the reference and can't verify that the information is true. I'll go ahead and take a look at the draft now. Bkissin (talk) 12:27, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Thanks very much for the help Bkissin! My first article created after many years of occasional edits! Best regards, Sukey (talk) 18:03, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

Chief White Eagle

I will try to answer your question about offering a complaint. You entered an AFC comment addressed to me, which pings me. You then accepted the draft, with which I agree. However, the acceptance of the draft erased the AFC comments. I would like to see a feature in the AFC script that gives the accepting reviewer the option of moving the AFC comments to the talk page, but we don't have that. Because the AFC comments are erased when the draft is accepted, I occasionally put my comments on the talk page as a draft, especially if they either are my reasoning for acceptance, or if they are notes for what needs to be done on acceptance. The purpose of the reason for acceptance is for NPP or AFD, in case someone thinks that the article should not have been accepted. Either the explanation may reduce the likelihood of an AFD, or it can be used in the AFD. What needs to be done on acceptance may include adding the article to a disambiguation list.

This was a case where the draft had the better claim to the name, and so there should be a hatnote on the article to the previous redirect. I see that is what you did. In other case where the name is already in use, sometimes the draft should be disambiguated, and then the hatnote should be put on the previous article. That isn't the case here. I agree with how this one was handled.

Please do not ping me in an AFC comment that will then be erased. I have to go into the history in such a case. Robert McClenon (talk) 04:27, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

Got it! Next time I'll try to remember to do that! Bkissin (talk) 12:40, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

1846-1848 Newfoundland Potato Famine

Thank you for reviewing my submission so quickly.

I'm not sure how I can improve it myself. Is it better to wait for more experienced editors, or readers with more knowledge of the subject, to make the necessary improvements?

As someone descended from survivors of the famine I was surprised to learn that the potato blight was a major contributing factor to it, and the relationship to what was happening in Ireland at the same time was stunning.

Any advice you can give would be welcome.

Concerning Verifiable Sources

Hi there,

Thank you for reviewing my draft so soon. I was only expecting to get a review after 3 months and was surprised when I got the notification that it had been reviewed. I really appreciate that you took the time to go over my article.

Could you please help me establish which part of the article is deemed unverifiable? I cited official independent websites from organizations as a primary source. I may be able to add more external sources if I know which sections of information needs to be verified.

I also received the following notice: "This article contains content that is written like an advertisement. Please help improve it by removing promotional content and inappropriate external links, and by adding encyclopedic content written from a neutral point of view."

Why does it say that it is written like an advertisement?Alternatively I could also remove or improve sections which have a promotional tone or cannot be verified. I appreciate if you can help me on these points as I want to improve my article and make a contribution to Wikipedia.

More information on the motives behind my contribution:

I was writing a paper for my religious studies class regarding Satanism. I was looking for more information on Wikipedia regarding a specific sect or cult and noticed that there was no article. I decided to contribute with information that I found in my research as this will help other academic students and people who are interested in the subject.

What's more, I noticed there are several other notable religious organizations and cults (especially UFO cults) that are not listed on Wikipedia. These have been mentioned by independent news sources and even the History channel. I may undertake to write about them in the future also as this will be a great help to students in the same field of study as myself.

Rename draft page from Tiago Barros (DJ) to DJEFF (DJ)

Hello Bkissin,

Thanks for reviewing my submission so swiftly.

I was hoping you could help me with something. The current draft page is "named" Tiago Barros. His stage name is DJEFF. I am aware there is a painter/sculptor named Djeff.

Would it be possible to have the page named DJEFF (DJ) please? I really like this DJ and support his work, I just wanna make sure I nail this one.

Kind regards,

Why was this accepted?

Hi Bkissin, I can see you approved this school, but having looked at this article, it is not ready for mainspace. Elementary schools are usually deemed non-notable, and this article needs more reliable, independent sources. Main 3 independent sources are in the Parish section but this is about the Parish not the school so mentioning when this parish was established and when it moved to its current church building is irrelevant to this article. Most of the other sources are primary sources. We do not include mission statements as they are promotional. This article needs to be moved back into draftspace for further work Steven (Editor) (talk) 23:49, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

And Hyogo Prefectural Kobe High School which I have moved backed to draftspace, has an 82.3% copyright violation. Are you reviewing articles properly? Steven (Editor) (talk) 00:01, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) I cleared out the copyvio and tagged the page for revision-deletion. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 02:14, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Chiesa of San Prospero

I see that you declined Draft:Chiesa of San Prospero (Perugia), but that the only reason you gave for doing so was paucity of specified sources. The draft is pleasingly informative but also surprisingly so. And it's written in what strikes me as guidebook English. (That is, guidebooks of the Baedeker/Nagel/Blue/Lorenzetti kind; not guides to "cool" this or that for people who want to get laid/stoned.) Am I imagining this? -- Hoary (talk) 03:32, 6 November 2020 (UTC)

Well, I was wrong. This is instead a translation from it:Chiesa di San Prospero (Perugia); but this brings its own problems, and I've declined the draft again. I wonder if there's a Perugian equivalent of the extraordinary book Venice and Its Lagoon (the English translation of Venezia e il suo estuario); if there is, it's likely to explain all. -- Hoary (talk) 07:34, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
