Your Edits

Do not feel as if I have a grudge against you, I am just enforcing regulations and following rules. I posted a farewell message and I was told that WT:PW is not the place for it, so I am enforcing that now. But if you want to give a farewell, to specific users that is ok, but not at the project page. Sorry for any inconvenience. =)--~SRS~ 15:27, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

One

  • Kerry vs. Flair cage match, Christmas '83.
  • Andy Kaufman
  • Hogan/Russo BATB
  • Pillman/Sully Bookerman
  • Fabulous Moolah as the Spider Lady.
  • Andre joining Heenan.
  • Sting/Stink fall brawl swerve still has me fooled.
  • Shane Douglas throwing away the NWA title. Heck, I could argue Madusa is more important than the the finger poke.
  • Rick Rude on Nitro and Raw
  • Montreal
  • Hogan turning heel at BATB 96
  • Ali / Inoki: the pull was the people thought this was gonna be an actual athletic contest.
  • Dude Love turning on Stone Cold. The show that started turning the tide - numbers to back me up.
  • Slaughter turns on his country
  • Mutoh showing up in AJPW
  • Tatanka joining the Million Dollar Corporation.

Okay, some of them were facetious but my point is the supposed "finger poke of doom" is not notable because Pope Meltzer and some pimpley faced online marks say it is. Read the ratings, numbers don't lie. --Endless Dan 12:24, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Uh, er... when was being part of the "MNW" a pre-requisite of this list. You called the finger poke the "top swerve ever". And I would look at the list again because their are several that occured during the "MNW". I suppose I should attribute your lack of knowledge to your age. --Endless Dan 14:41, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Excuse me, may I interject? Several of those swerves were during the MNW. And one of them is of such greater importance that it made the REAL ratings difference on the same night as the poke. Dude Love joining the Corporation on the night RAW beat Nitro set the stage for The Rock joining the Corporation, which was another swerve not even listed that was far bigger that the poke. And when I say far bigger, I mean by making an actual impact in the ratings and money drawn. Not only that, but The Rock's swerve at Survivor Series set it up for Mankind to win the WWF Championship. That was what actually made a difference in the ratings the night of the poke. Not the poke itself. Obligatoryhandle (talk) 15:39, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Suggested Target

Ok, I officially now suggest a target: Get WWE as FA of the day for the day of Summerslam. Sound like a good idea? If noone else wants to, i will personally do a pre GA and FA review for it (as in, I will fix the faults that someone else lists). My reason of wanting to do this is that my only significant edits to a mainspace article since I have joined were for a hoax article about me (Which noone noticed was fake for 2 months until my friend vandalised it) and if I ever want to pass an RFA in the future I will need some good edits.

So, back on topic, who's with my idea? WWE for FAotD on theday of SS 2008. CHARGE!!! Sexy Sea Bassist 18:15, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

And now we just have to wait for Darrenhusted to say "No." without comment [/joke] Sexy Sea Bassist 18:48, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

First off, please change your signature, to something a little less striking. The colours just look horrible IMO. Secondly, I consider the above a little "spammish". It sounds like you're saying "get WWE to FA, and I'll become an admin" - things don't and never will work like that around here. Some people around here have 15,000 edits, got a lot of articles to GA status, and still are not admin. I also consider the general attitde uncalled for. Please, just tone it a bit "CHARGE!!!", what exactly does that mean? Put it, short and sweet to the point without all the stupidity in the meantime. You will become a much better editor, if a) you get rid of your signature and just have a "normal" signature, b) don't use capitals; c) do actual edits instead of talking to everyone and reverting odd vandalism; d) practice improving articles, work on a PPV if needs be. Sorry if it sounds like a rant, but I'm a tad fed up with seeing you come over to this talkpage every so ofter with a "lolish-like" attitude. D.M.N. (talk) 19:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. If you want to become an admin, or even a better editor, you might want to start off with improving one article entirely by yourself. Try expanding a pay-per-view or one of the stub articles. Try and get it to GA first, as right now I'm inclined to say that an FA is impossible for most wrestling articles. An editor review might also be helpful. If you want some other general feedback....I'm sure most people here would be willing to help you out. Nikki311 19:30, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

/facepalm The charge bit was like a military call saying ready? GO! and I was saying that if I ever do want to be an admin, I need to prove I can be a good editor. also, why has noone ever complained about the other Sexy Sea Creatures? anyway, is the Idea good or not? Yea or Nay? Sexy Sea Bassist 19:34, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

A good editor needs to have good mainspace edits. You don't. As for the WWE article, no. The FAC criteria has been significantly tightened as of late, so it's going to be very hard to get any of our articles to FA status in the forseeable future. Also, I see no reason for the "/facepalm". Me and Nikki meant what we said. Save the facepalm for a conversation on MySpace please. D.M.N. (talk) 19:37, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
(e.c.) This is not a joke, you should really listen to Nikki and D.M.N.. Do whatever you'd like, to improve the article. You don't need our approvals to edit an article. Agreed with D.M.N., I also get a little fed up with the attitude you always come here with. iMatthew T.C. 19:37, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Also, you do need to change your signature, it is too distracting. Also you have 297 characters in your signature, and the maximum allowance is 255. Please fix it. iMatthew T.C. 19:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Is that a built in limit or a rule? and you can blame Alex Roggio for that, he made it when he did the whole "adoptive parent" thing. Also, the Hitler like "No Humor" rule is slightly strange, I see you guys try to be funny all the time. Sexy Sea Bassist 19:44, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Your signature is still too long. It is 288 characters. And yes, we make jokes once in a while, but we take our work seriously. You have to have a sense of humor, but you only come here once every so often with the "lolish" attitude, like D.M.N. stated. iMatthew T.C. 19:46, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Matt, DMN, and Nikki, and this conversation seems to be going nowhere related to the project.SRX--LatinoHeat 19:54, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Thankyou SRX, I was getting quite sick of this thread becoming "Flame PXK's non-Nazi attitude to PW. And I think I have an Idea how to shorten my sig. BRB. (return) Ok, hope this works Crisis.EXE 20:12, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Yep, works Crisis.EXE 20:12, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

No it does not, it is still 288 characters. And you can not template your signatures. iMatthew T.C. 20:13, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
What's the problem? I thought it was that it cluttered talk pages. Crisis.EXE 20:17, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
It simply cannot be as long as you have it, see WP:SIGNATURE. Please remove the template, and shorten your signature. iMatthew T.C. 20:19, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
This discussion was moved, as no consensus was being built for project related articles.SRX--LatinoHeat 20:23, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

No, but WP:SIGNATURE#Transclusion of templates does. iMatthew T.C. 20:36, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Admin coaching request status

You have expressed interest in undergoing the Admin coaching program. However, after reviewing your edit history, I feel you may need more experience editing (i.e., >1,750 edits & 4 months of activity) on Wikipedia before you can know for certain your ready to begin the process of becoming an administrator. Therefore, at this time, your application for Admin Coaching has been declined.

My suggestion would be to seek adoption from a more experienced user who can help you experience all of the various components of editing an encyclopedia. If you decide adoption is not for you, there is also the editor review process that may help you find areas to improve upon in our editing. If you would like to talk more about this, please feel free to leave me a note at my talk page. Malinaccier (talk) 23:43, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

A more personalized suggestion would be for you to concentrate less on things in the userspace, and more on things in the namespace. Happy editing, Malinaccier (talk) 14:06, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

I paid quite a bit of attention. Everything in the blue box was a pre-prepared template. My message above is a personalized suggestion that I created by looking through your last five hundred edits. Malinaccier (talk) 14:29, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Also, the reason was not that you haven't seeked adoption, it was that you didn't have enough experience. A table here dictates that you have at least 1,750 edits before requesting coaching. I was merely removing your request, giving a templated response as to why I did so, and giving you personalized advice to help you toward a successful future RFA. Please remove your name from the list and re-apply when you meet the minimum. Malinaccier (talk) 14:36, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Just saw your message. Malinaccier (talk) 14:37, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Rollback granted

After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can only be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you do not want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Rudget (Help?) 14:32, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

You should not have used rollback for this revert. It was good faith, not vandalism. iMatthew T.C. 15:26, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
No problem, I had the same issue when I was first granted rollback. You just have to be very careful for a week or so, until you get used to it. iMatthew T.C. 15:30, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

You shouldn't make such drastic changes to an article without discussing them first on the talk page. It was discussed at WP:WPDB to use the japanese subtitled names for the article, just like Yamucha. If you want to contest this, please say something on the talk page before going straight into the move.--KojiDude (C) 16:59, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

If you had looked at the talk page first, you'd have seen it was already discussed.--KojiDude (C) 17:04, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism

Please see this Diff and the green box on the page Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism

Important! – your report must follow these three points:

  1. The edits of the user you are reporting must be considered vandalism.
  2. The vandal must be active now, and have vandalised after sufficient recent warnings to stop.
  3. IP addresses cannot be blocked indefinitely; The person behind a single IP address may frequently change and this needs to be allowed for.

The user you reported not only did not vandalize after you posted only a single level 4 warning on their talk page, they have not edited in several days. If you have questions please post a note at my talk page. Jeepday (talk) 00:28, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Please slow down. A lot.

I noticed a couple of reports to AIV today that were quite premature, and rejected by the admins there. The most glaring example is User:Milker, who most certainly did not vandalize the page you said he did. You probably meant to warn the IP that edited after him. However, even in the other cases, you're reporting people to AIV for test edits. This does no one any good.

My first reaction is you should probably disengage from Huggle for a while. If you aren't willing to do that, you really at least need to get out of light-speed mode, and do this slower, and with more care.

Thanks for listening. --barneca (talk) 00:29, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Noticed this too: [1]. --barneca (talk) 00:40, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
And this: [2]
These are in your last 20 edits. I won't come back to your talk page to point more out, as I'm not trying to rub salt in the wound or anything, but please slow down and make sure each edit is correct. Thanks. --barneca (talk) 00:43, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm not afraid to admit I have trouble avoiding mistakes with Huggle when I get going, and I have over a year of experience with WP:VPRF to call upon while using it. It's just too powerful for its own good. There's nothing wrong with slowing down. I personally would love to go at ClueBot-like speeds using it, but I know that I can't.
