Welcome!

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Information icon Hello, I'm Samf4u. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Dallin McKay— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Samf4u (talk) 14:35, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dallin McKay requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Dallin McKay, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Dallin McKay. Praxidicae (talk) 15:49, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Up and coming

[edit]

Wikipedia is not interested in up and coming people or things. Article subjects must already be notable as defined by the general notability guideline and/or specific notability criteria for living persons and musicians. Wikipedia is also not a place for a person to get free publicity. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:10, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I will leave a standard welcome message for you. I encourage you to review the linked pages so you have more success in developing articles that would be accepted. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:39, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
