Barangabari moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Barangabari, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

The article Morning Star High School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence of meeting notability requirements for a school following a search; please see WP:NSCHOOL, WP:GNG and WP:NORG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Spiderone 21:33, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
Nomination of Morning Star High School for deletion

[edit]Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Morning Star High School. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. You should revet this removal immediately. // Timothy :: talk 01:44, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
I have deleted because I am sure that it doesn't meet criteria for the deletion of articles. You have removed my three articles from Wikipedia, please don't remove it. Hello, I'm S0091. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
Hi Jogesh 69, you have been told before to discontinue use dpedia as a source. dpedia attributes its content to Wikipedia so is a circular reference which should not be used. S0091 (talk) 16:06, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Please stop using this as a reference. At the bottom of the page, it clearly states that this website is a Wikipedia mirror. This means that they just copy and paste from Wikipedia. We therefore cannot use this as a reference. Spiderone 17:25, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

The article Dhindoora has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
WP:TOOSOON, only routine coverage so far, does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NFILM. A prior attempt to merge this content to Bhuvan Bam failed, as content was rejected at the target article due to the weakness of the sources involved.

Speedy deletion nomination of Ashish Chanchalani
[edit]Hello, Jogesh 69,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Umakant Bhalerao and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Ashish Chanchalani, for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Umakant Bhalerao}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

[edit]Hello Jogesh 69. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Ashish Chanchlani, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jogesh 69. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jogesh 69|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Or as you spelled it, Ashish Chanchalani Ravensfire (talk) 19:05, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
No I don't get paid for ky edits. I wish I can get paid. But I contribute Wikipedia just for the educational purpose and for fun. Creating an article give me pleasure. Jogesh 69 (talk) 02:20, 2 March 2021 (UTC)Jogesh 69

Speedy deletion nomination of Portal:Assam
[edit]A tag has been placed on Portal:Assam requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Redirect from portal space to article space page - does not seem plausible?
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://anss1993.blogspot.com/2009/11/brief-introduction-of-assam-nepali.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
Onel5969 TT me 15:42, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Women in Red
[edit]Hi there, Jogesh 69, and welcome to Women in Red. After all the biographies you have written about men, it's good to see you now intend to devote some of your editing time to women. In this connection, you might find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 08:58, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
Hello, @Ipigott:, I have a question.
Now I have joined WiR, now If I create an biography about women then is there any code or tag from which i can mention that this article is a part of WiR or something like that. Just asking casually. Jogesh 69 (talk) 17:22, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
- Whenever you create a new biography about women, you should add the tag
{{WIR}}
or even better{{WIR 2001}}
, indicating the year. If you are creating an article in connection with one of our monthy priorities, then you should add the appropriate banner. For example, one of this month's priorities is Women writers. You can find the tag on the corresponding page, Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Meetup/208. It happens to be{{WIR-208}}
. Hope this is clear. If you have any problems, please let me know.--Ipigott (talk) 08:36, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Gaurav Taneja
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gaurav Taneja requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gaurav Taneja. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
The article Dipankar Borah has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:47, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Lead Section SizeThe lead section of a Wikipedia article is the section before the first heading. The table of contents, if displayed, generally appears between the lead section and the first subheading.
Rule of thumb: If a topic deserves a heading or subheading, then it deserves short mention in the lead.
The lead section should contain up to four paragraphs, depending on the length of the article, and should provide a preview of the main points the article will make, summarizing the primary reasons the subject matter is interesting or notable. The lead should be capable of standing alone as a concise overview of the article, should be written in a clear and accessible style, should be carefully sourced like the rest of the text, and should encourage the reader to want to read more. The following table has some general guidelines for the length of the lead section:
< 15,000 characters medium size > 30,000 characters one or two paragraphs two or three paragraphs three or four paragraphs – –To add this auto-updating template to your user page, use {{totd-tomorrow}}
