Sara Winter

Dear, Everyone is a political being. To be in an encyclopedia that someone is a politician this must be blunt, must at least have a party that supports him, or be elected. In this way, everyone could be described in the summary as a politician. A person who protects animal rights. It would be a politician. A reporter who fights against chauvinism, etc. Because everything is politics. But to be in an encyclopedia it is really necessary for the biography to speak more self in this sense. And in the case of landlady Sara, she doesn't speak. (Anhaabaete (talk) 09:55, 30 August 2020 (UTC))

JardelW Sim.

Rollback granted

Hi SirEdimon. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 01:27, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello WOSO editors!

What a year to be alive. As usual (but perhaps even moreso since there have been unexpected quarantines), there has been a lot of activity on player, team, league and tournament-related Wikipedia articles with all of the worldwide coverage of women's football / soccer. Great work!

Fall Focus: FA WSL articles

You may have noticed lots of great things going on for the top English league this year: the FA WSL. More (international!) broadcasts, top international player signings, improved media coverage, and increased viewership. Let's keep the momentum brewing, shall we?

Here's a sampling of articles that could use creation, expansion or updating. What will you commit to working on?

See also Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Women's football task force/Initiatives/FA WSL to collaborate and organize with other editors.

Every little bit helps! Thanks for your contributions!

Hi, you have removed my edit to the article about Masada and the alleged mass suicide there. Other than references by Josephus there is no archeological evidence to support this story. 2021 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship

Hello! It looks like you're an experienced editor. It was I who previously reverted your addition of the goalscorers in the TCA v. USA match. But since you seem to have more experience than me, maybe you have some insight into my problem.

CONCACAF's reports have got the times weird. The clock in Beach Soccer ticks down to 0, like Futsal or Basketball. It seems that a goal scored when the clock says, for instance, 3:40 (i.e., when 8 minutes and 20 of the period have elapsed) the goal is counted as having been scored at 3', not 9' (as would be in regular soccer). Further, a hypothetical goal scored at 3:40 in the first period is counted as having been scored at 3'; but a goal scored at 3:40 in the second period is also counted as having been scored at 3'. Basically, it's a mess.

As far as I can tell, Wikipedia counts the goals as being scored like in regular soccer, i.e., if the clock ticked up. For instance: 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

So I am a little confused. Do you think I should report it as CONCACAF says, or as Wikipedia seems to usually report it? Birdsgeek (talk) 13:50, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

Disruptive to the max

This edit is problematic on multiple levels. First, the subject had not yet been capped by Chile so he is not consider Chilean. Period. Changing at the FIFA level is not enough. As it turns out, he deferred playing for them and may never play for them. Second, the only reason to change a date format would be if MOS:DATETIES changed. Chile is not an English nation does not qualify for DATETIES, so we would not change an established date format just because of a nationality change. The only reason we would do so is if he changed to an English-speaking nation with a different date format such as Australia or India. That is what MOS:STYLERET is all about. A tag has been placed on File:John Best in 1967.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of Previously published at https://www.nasljerseys.com/Players/B/Best.John.htm (and not likely the original copyright holder published there). For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
