2023 California wildfires moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, 2023 California wildfires, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. 14 January 2023 edit war[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of SpongeBob SquarePants episodes. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Magitroopa (talk) 04:19, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Tornado outbreak of January 24-25, 2023 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wait before making this. I don't even think this will be notable enough for an article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AfD is the proper venue for that discussion. You could probably make the case that the article in its current form violates WP:CRYSTAL. However, please don't just unilaterally redirect articles with proper sources, especially to the draft namespace, as drafts aren't meant to be linked to from mainspace. Also, having created a draft first doesn't give you ownership over the article. — SamX [talk • contribs] 01:42, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Disney Cruise Line into List of Disney Cruise Line ships. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:23, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Third Sudanese Civil War. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Also note that as an involved editor in an on-going Requested Move discussion, it is inappropriate to carry out page moves when the discussion has not closed yet by an uninvolved editor. – robertsky (talk) 04:09, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Jimmy’s Waterhole fire moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Jimmy’s Waterhole fire, is not suitable as written to remain published. On challenging the closure of Requested Move discussion[edit]

Do not revert the close of a Requested Move discussion, as you had done at Talk:2023 Sudan conflict, if you are challenging the closure of the discussion. You are strongly encouraged to open a discussion with the closer about their rationale. If you are unable to achieve an agreement with the closer, a move review can be initiated to have the closure reviewed by another uninvolved editor. – robertsky (talk) 14:53, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As Robertsky mentioned, you always have the option of using the move review process, but I wanted to leave a comment in here in case you're not acquainted with Wikipedia's consensus-building procedures yet. The rationale from the closing editor was that there is "Clearly no consensus to move", and when deleting this rationale, you said it was "not a good reason". I don't believe you'll find much agreement if you challenge the closure, because consensus is Wikipedia's fundamental method of decision making. I know you believe that your proposed title is more appropriate, but you did initiate a requested move discussion to see if others agree, and they did not; their input holds as much weight as yours. These discussions are held to find agreement and to avoid unilateral decision-making like this. I hope you'll understand.  Vanilla  Wizard 💙 18:59, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of international goals scored by Kylian Mbappé[edit]

Why did you remove the redirect at List of international goals scored by Kylian Mbappé? There is clear consensus that this should only be a page reserved for a nation's top-scorer or if a player has above 50 goals (or something like that). Mbappé is on 38 goals and is not the top scorer. Could you please provide rationale? Otherwise I will redirect it back. Paul Vaurie (talk) 20:17, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of List of Honolulu Rail Transit stations[edit]

The page List of Honolulu Rail Transit stations has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
