Information icon Hello, I'm Miner Editor. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Talk:RLV-TD—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Indian Space Research Organisation into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — DaxServer (t · m · c) 09:39, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution (2nd request)

Control copyright icon Hello Theknowhowman! Your additions to Asian Association on Remote Sensing have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. MaxnaCarta (talk) 03:40, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited International Space Exploration Coordination Group, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page International. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:38, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, International Space Exploration Coordination Group, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 12:03, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries absent

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to ISRO did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Theknowhowman. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Girth Summit (blether) 16:49, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Sorry you got wrong. I am not operated by MrUnknown123. I created this account to mainly edit pages related rlvtd landing experiment which was later merged with rlvtd programme. I have also edited pages related to ISRO, openai, cnes, nasa, david goggins. Please check my contributions and unblock my account Theknowhowman (talk) 02:18, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Checkuser apparently indicated substantial similarity according to the SPI, and I also see a whole lot of similarity in both accounts' interests, style of speech, common errors in speech, and the like. I do not believe all of this to be purely coincidental. Seraphimblade Talk to me 05:56, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

This is a different account which is not related to MrUnknown23 in any way. I clearly wish to know the policies that I have violated because I have not committed any sockpuppetry. I have also an additional account named crozaidendeathpoison which I have used for 1 minor edit and have not used that account for any kind of sockpuppetary. The reason you find our grammatical mistakes similar is that we are from India and English is not our native language. If you really check my contributions I have mainly edited the page ISRO, and also have done some minor edits on multiple other pages. I really wish to the specific reason I have been blocked, because currently as per my knowledge, I have not violated any policies or committed any sockpuppetry. If you are blocking people and accusing them of sockpuppetry based on their grammatical mistakes, then you may as well block most Indians. Theknowhowman (talk) 12:39, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your nationality or race is not relevant to this matter. I see the same issues as Seraphimblade does- and you admit to having at least one other account in this request. That itself is against policy and I too think it is not a coincidence. 331dot (talk) 14:31, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please place new posts at the bottom of the page for proper discussion flow. 331dot (talk) 14:29, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
