Why did you remove the NASA section? You didn't mention it in your edit summary. LacrimosaDiesIlla (talk) 14:33, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It was a duplicate, there was already a second NASA section at the end of the table. Zbase4 (talk) 15:02, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, good job, then. Sorry, I hadn't noticed that. LacrimosaDiesIlla (talk) 18:21, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

G. Keith Bryant‎ and Keith Bryant (Firefighter)‎ merger

[edit]

The merger of G. Keith Bryant‎ and Keith Bryant (Firefighter) should be listed at Wikipedia:Proposed mergers‎. Edwardx (talk) 02:03, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

WP:MERGING states that "If the need for a merge is obvious, individual editors can be bold and simply do it.". G. Keith Bryant‎ and Keith Bryant (Firefighter) are clearly duplicate articles of each other that should be merged, therefore I have done so. I don't see why you are reverting my edits on this issue, yes the G. Keith Bryant was created several weeks earlier by you, however the Keith Bryant (Firefighter) is somewhat more detailed and contains more references (although both are stub articles), therefore I decided to merge G. Keith Bryant into Keith Bryant (Firefighter) using WP:MERGING. If you would rather have the information in Keith Bryant (Firefighter) redirect to G. Keith Bryant then I don't have any problem with that, however you simply reverted my edits to have Keith Bryant (Firefighter) link to your article, which removes the information that I added to the merged article. Zbase4 (talk) 02:15, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You were bold, I reverted, you undid my revert. Per WP:BRD, it would have been better if you had initiated a discussion instead of undoing my revert. Yes please, add the new content into G. Keith Bryant, the older article, and take it from there. Thank you. Edwardx (talk) 02:27, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Bareket reuven.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bareket reuven.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Yehoshua rabinovitz.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:44, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zbase4. All files (regardless of their copyright status) are required to have information about their source and a copyright license. You did really provide a source for this file when you uploaded it; so, that's going to be needed for the file to avoid being deleted per WP:F4. If you found the file on Hebrew Wikipedia and there's a source provided for it there, then you can just add a link to that source; however, simply stating from "Hebrew Wikipedia" is not really sufficient.
You did add a copyright license for the file when you uploaded it, but if you read that license you'll see that this file is not within the public domain in the United States. This means that for Wikipedia's purposes, you also will need to provide a file that supplements the license for Israel and covers the US. In this case, {{Non-free biog pic}} should work, but you will need to provide a source. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:52, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a way to make these images accessible on English Wikipedia? I simply copied the images of all these Knesset members from Hebrew Wikipedia several years ago using whatever source and licensing was applicable on there and would not like to see my work removed. I don't know the rules with regards to licensing on Wikipedia, however if there is a way to make these images accessible to English language users I would like to do so rather than just have them deleted on mass. Zbase4 (talk) 16:19, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know the exact source for each image? As explained in WP:IUP#RI, all images basically require certain things but the two main ones are (1) information about their source of origin and (2) a copyright license. If these files are not considered to be within the public domain in the United States (as their current licensing applies), then they will need to be treated as non-free content. This can possibly be done if all of these individuals are deceased (item 10 of WP:NFCI) and there are no free equivalent images of them which can be found or created. In order to do that, however, Wikipedia is going to need to know where the files come from per WP:NFC#Meeting the previous publication criterion to verify their copyright status. Are all of these images still available on Hebrew Wikipedia? I can't read Hebrew, but perhaps there's a source listed for them if they are. If you can find such a source (ideally a link to a website showing the image), then this source would probably also work for English Wikipedia. What you'd need to do then is add the copyright license {{Non-free biog pic}} and {{Non-free use rationale biog}} to each file's page, filling in as much of the rationale template that you can. You will need to add a rationale for each use of the file; so, if you want to use the file in more than one article or more than once in the same article, you will need to add a separate rationale specific to each particular use. If these files are just going to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone biography type of articles like Yehoshua Rabinovitz, then there use should be OK; things become more complicated, however, if you want to use the files in other types of articles or in other ways. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:03, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Zbase4. This is sort of related to the above notification, but slightly different; so, I've added it separately. All non-free files on Wikipedia are required to have two things: a non-free copyright license and a non-free content use rationale. Files missing non-free use rationales can be deleted per WP:F6. The "Summary" (i.e. {{Information}}) you added is similar to a non-free use rationale, but it's not quite the same. My suggestion to you is that once you figure out the sourcing and licensing of this file, you replace the "Information" template with {{Non-free use rationale biog}} and just complete all of the relevant parameters. You only need to do this, however, if the file is not within the public domain in the US. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:58, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Shirley Abrahamson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Berkeley. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
