this version previously would redirect to https://www.twitch.tv/lrhlive on a mouse click anywhere in the article's text/images.

the diff between versions didn't indicate anything other than an appropriate edit

Hello there. I couldn't find any issue with the article. This could be a malicious code on your device rather than in the article, which might be opening a pop-up leading to the external website you're referring to. Thanks. Lourdes 08:20, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE:

I edited the page (sometime between 08:07 & 08:20, 12 August 2017 (UTC)); I pasted the old good version then edited the text to reflect the change indicated in the diff. When I saved the page, the problem was fixed, but my edit (including my edit summary) isn't showing in the history (I'm assuming because no differences were detected). Somehow the problem was resolved and whatever malicious code was there is gone and I have no idea how I fixed it. 135.23.232.202 (talk) 08:22, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Lourdes:I am pretty curious as to what exactly was going on. Do you know if there is a record of change to the article other than in the history page? I suspect that the problem might be related to a template in the page and was probably resolved when transcluded again after my edit. Is it possible that if the malicious code is inserted into a template, and then an article containing that template is edited while that template contains the bad code, it could be inserted without appearing in the diff?135.23.232.202 (talk) 08:34, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In hindsight, I should have copied the webpage source, but now my browser cache only has the unaffected version. :-( I also checked the internet archive wayback machine and bad luck turns out that the latest archive was literally one day before the 18 June 2017 edit that i suspect triggered the malicious code insertion. Yes, it was vandalism to {{Infobox country/imagetable}}. It has been fixed and the user blocked. If a vandalised template is fixed then there can be a delay before affected pages are updated. A purge of a given page will update it right away. PrimeHunter (talk) 11:56, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Login error[edit]

I am hoping someone can assist. When logging into WP on my iPad I get the following message in a pink box "There seems to be a problem with your login session; this action has been canceled as a precaution against session hijacking. Go back to the previous page, reload that page and then try again." and it won't let me log in. But when I use my PC at work or home, or my IPad in private mode, I am free to log in and all is good. It is just very annoying to have to jump between private mode just to see one website. Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated. Really confused[edit]

Hello Volunteers,

Thanks for the help you guys are offering, I respect you all for that. At this point, I am really confused as to where should I post my questions. I used the help desk earlier and was told to find an admin on the talk page, I did that, and the admin told me to go to the talk page. I'm sure I'm missing something, but for now, I have the following questions:

This is the talk page of an article, that is about my client, it was not written by anybody connected to her. We don't know who wrote it, but whoever did had wrong information posted on it. I have clarified a lot of that. But one fact is still wrong according to Ana, and she has sent me the following correction, can somebody please make it for me?

"This is the WRONG sentence: The Chin Kiss King (Plume, 1998).[3] It was originally published in Spanish as El Rey de Los Besos by Editorial Planeta, S.A. in 1997.

This should be the CORRECT SENTENCE: The Chin Kiss King was originally published in English by Farrar Strauss & Giroux in 1997. It was re-issued in 2015."

This is the first issue, now the second issue is that an admin asked me to do this: "If you are connected to the subject, please make a account and disclose the connection."

Hi, to make an account, go here, fill in the details, then click "Create account". You then should disclose your COI, click here to see how to do that. If you want changes to be made to a page, you must include reliable sources (RS) - just saying the article subject says this isn't enough for Wikipedia. Also, please remember that this won't be your page, and while we are glad you wish to help improve the page, please remember the fact that it isn't yours, and you do not have a final say over anything in it. Once you have found some RS's, come back and let us know.
