How do I make subgroups using {{Navbox}} template?[edit]

could you please tell me how to make subgroups in the {{navbox}} template?

as an example, here is the country topics navbox for England, which has several subgroups within the section for "History.". the problem is that this uses a separate template, the {{country topics}} template. Actually, I may have found a good example to utilize. the {{beef}} template below, has some clear subgroups. it uses the code below to generate the subgroups. is this main method to do so, or are there any other ways to do so? just want to get some basic information on this. I appreciate it.

Ok, I also have found the {{melons}} navbox, which also utilizes some subgroups. below is the code that this navbox uses to do so. is there any difference between these two codes? I appreciate any help.

I don't know if this counts as a "reliable" source, but he was inducted into the Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame. One could simply mention that he was inducted, and leave any inference to the reader. That inference is worthless. A source would need to explicitly state that he was gay. Not only is the inference dubious (non-LGBT persons might be inducted in the HoF), but even if it was 100% foolproof, I would think that is a case similar to religion, nationality (see the "British or Scottish" infobox wars), etc. It should only be mentioned if either (1) it was a reasonably prominent part of the person’s public identity (something said in an interview might qualify) or (2) it is the subject of detailed commentary in the sources. Photo of Oscar Chajes[edit]

Hello everybody, I would like to publish the photo of Oscar Chajes, who died in 1928, on it.wikipedia. The copyright laws in Italy regard photos of persons died more than 50 years ago (or 70 years as per the European Community) to be in the public domain, so it should be possible to publish it on the Italian wikipedia. Adding information to your page on XM25.[edit]

Info I posted in 2016 was removed by someone. I revised and reposted yesterday, now those edits are listed as "Reverted." How to get it included for sure?

Original Concept The operational principles incorporated in the XM25 were first recommended by a government contractor at a Summer Study on Urban Combat in 1984. A Marine Corps officer who had served in Hue in 1968 described the intensity of that combat and how casualties had been high because they could not use heavy artillery or airpower to dislodge enemy personnel who fought from inside buildings. The contractor recommended an idea for a “smart” weapon that (1) had pinpoint accuracy to put an exploding munition just where it was needed, and (2) had limited destructive radius in order minimize collateral damage. The concept was to measure the distance to the obstacle where the enemy was taking cover and then shoot a fragmenting projectile past that obstacle where it would explode to neutralize the threat. This recommendation was not pursued at that time. However, that same contractor later received a request for ideas to replace the M16/M203 rifle/grenade launcher combination. When he assigned this task to a research team, he described the idea from 1984 and suggested that the “smart” grenade might be part of the future system. This led to the original design concept for what became the XM29 which incorporated a rifle with the “smart” grenade launcher on top of it.

End Note The above summary mentions the Saint Petersburg Declaration of 1868 and its prohibition on exploding munitions weighing less than 400 grams. This issue was raised when the University of New South Wales Law Journal published a criticism of the XM25, including the assertion that its projectile “…appears to breach customary international law by using exploding projectiles that weigh less than 400 grams.” The logic of that article could be questioned since it ignored numerous other long-serving self-propelled and rifle-launched grenades that also did not comply with the 400-gram limitation. Annoying new feature in chrome[edit]

Hi - I wonder if anyone else has experienced this, and can suggest a fix. I frequently edit from an Android mobile device, using Chrome. I always use 'desktop view'. Recently, every time I go to a new page, a little message drops down asking if I want to switch to a simplified view. The only option it gives me is 'view', which switches me to mobile view; I can't swipe it away, so I need to wait a few seconds for it to disappear. It's deeply annoying, because it obscures quite a few of the navigation links at the top of the page, but I can't find a way to make it stop appearing. I don't know it it's a change in Chrome, or in the media wiki software which has caused it to start happening, but it's doing my head in. Does anyone have any suggestions? I wasn't able to get that message to appear on my end, but I found the following setting, which sounds like it may be related: "Settings" → "Accessibility" → "Simplified view for web pages". If it is checked, try unchecking it. Rummskartoffel 17:50, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have been encountering the same annoying behavior recently, which I had provisionally attributed to a reset to default settings. I love the desktop site on my Android smartphone and do not appreciate an irritating script trying to encourage me to switch to a less functional misnamed "mobile site", which should be renamed the "crap site" and recommended to nobody. Ha - yes, the answer I wanted to give that pop-up was 'of course not, stop asking me'. The fact that the only answers it would accept were effectively 'yes' or 'ask me again next time' was particularly galling. Reference check[edit]

Hi Folks!! I've put this reference in, in the sources section of Joseph Lister at Lister, 1827-1912, Baron Joseph (1909). in Sources. Is that correct. It got a arhive.org url and the original url points to the royal society url page at, [1]. So it is treating every book chapters as a journal article, with a link to article on a url.
