The image you added was from the State of Minnesota, not the U.S. Government that you attributed it to. There is no evidence it's in the public domain.—Bagumba (talk) 18:52, 26 April 2021 (UTC)

List of Japanese supercentenarians

I believe you made this edit to List of Japanese supercentenarians? Reference 40 has an error message: Cite error: The named reference nbc was invoked but never defined. Would you please take a look at it? Maybe copy the reference if it is from another Wikipedia article? If you do copy across articles, it is requested that one attribute the source. Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia See WP:PATT on how to attribute. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 08:39, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

Hm. Thanks for letting me know - I’ll get a hold on that. Fakescientist8000 (talk) 16:41, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

I have just edited it so the reference works as intended. Fakescientist8000 (talk) 17:51, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:59, 23 November 2021 (UTC)

Lock-out device

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edits to Lock-out device, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edits had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Information icon Hi Fakescientist8000! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at [[Talk:Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates]], please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. User:力 (powera, π, ν) 02:58, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

I have to ask, what do you believe was so improper about my closing of Freedom Convoy 2022? Fakescientist8000 (talk) 03:00, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

Scott Seiss moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Scott Seiss, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 23:06, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

A 0.64668543522349468150116234th barnstar for me!

With this coming from a sockpuppet, I take this with honor.

Nikolay Zak has considered that a DNA or blood test must be made to comfirm when Jeanne Calment died. I think you shall stop claiming that Zak is a liar, he is not at all any liar, it is you who is retarded. As long as no test is made, it is not possible to know if Calment died at age 122 in 1997 or already in 1934 as Zak believes. Can't you realise how unlikely it is for a human to live to a great age like over 120 years, then shouldn't it be reasonable to dispute if Calment really lived to that age? BHB95 (talk) 15:46, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

BHB95, Wow, in clear violation of WP:CIVIL, now are we? Anywho; if you decide to give me a good and polite argument where we can discuss such topics with some manners, mind you, then we may discuss it. However, I never claimed that Zak was a liar; I basically said that the general expert consensus was that Calment died in 1997. I would advise you to stop your rude behavior immediately. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 (talk) 15:54, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
I have had a conversation with Nikolay Zak's colleague Philip Gibbs. I asked if not Jeanne Calment should be considered as disputed as long as no DNA or blood test of Calment has been made. Gibbs and Zak think it is reasonable to require a DNA or blood test, that may prove if the person who died in 1997 really was 122-year-old Jeanne or her daughter Yvonne, who is claimed to have died young of pneumonia but actually might have usurped her mother's identity after her mother's death. If Yvonne claimed to be her mother, she would have been 99 years old. BHB95 (talk) 16:02, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
Ok; I understand that as you have put it. I will say this once more; the general expert consensus (aka, not mine or Wikipedia's) is that 1) Jeanne Calment was born in 1875, and died in 1997 at the age of 122, and 2) the French census records (around the time of her birth) are reliable, and reliable enough to show if she really died instead of her daughter. But back to the original point: the source you have put is a user made fandom. User made fandoms are not considered reliable sources as per WP:UGC. Cheers! Machine Head - Arrows in Words from the Sky

Hey, I edited this because the title that was previously in its place has not been officially confirmed by the band or their record label. I think until this is the case, this information should be treat as false. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ernest Victory (talkcontribs) 15:55, 9 April 2022 (UTC)

@Ernest Victory: I would advise you not to do that. It's a clear violation of WP:CRYSTAL. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 16:46, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
@Fakescientist8000 Hi, sorry if I'm misunderstanding but I have removed the title that has not been confirmed by any official source, so following that link you mentioned surely the title that was in place before I removed it is currently unverifiable? Ernest Victory (talk) 16:55, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
I was mainly referring to the latter half of your message. "I think until this is the case, this information should be treat as false", which would be a straight up violation of CRYSTAL. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 16:57, 9 April 2022 (UTC)

Blind reverting

Don't do it. WP:IPSAREPEOPLETOO. 174.212.227.192 (talk) 04:33, 19 April 2022 (UTC)

Unsourced edits

Do not make any edit if you can’t provide reliable sources. Secondly Bawal do not come in Jaat Land. And lastly Jaats population in Bawal is almost negligible. If you want to make the changes you may provide appropriate resources or you will be reported for glorifying a particular community. Regards Ravibhooria (talk) 11:24, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

@Ravibhooria: If I were you, I would not be one to try and threaten other users on WP, especially for something this miniscule, and what policy or guideline would I be violating by "glorifying a particular community"? Cheers! Fakescientist8000 12:51, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

You were in voilation of WP:NPOV, WP:UNDUE. And i had no intention to threaten you, i just wanted you to please stop the disruptive editing. Ravibhooria (talk) 02:19, 21 April 2022 (UTC)

@Ravibhooria What you have to realize is that I only reverted it because you didn't explain your edit. If you did as you have on my talk page, we wouldn't have to have this discussion. I also will ask you politely to not threaten me "you will be reported for glorifying a particular community", and I also cannot see how I violated WP:NPOV and/or WP:UNDUE. Cheers! Material about living persons added to any Wikipedia page must be written with the greatest care and attention to verifiability, neutrality, and avoidance of original research. Editors must take particular care when adding information about living persons to any Wikipedia page. Such material requires a high degree of sensitivity, and must adhere strictly to all applicable laws in the United States, to this policy, and to Wikipedia's three core content policies: Neutral point of view (NPOV) Verifiability (V) No original research (NOR) We must get the article right. Be very firm about the use of high-quality sources. All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be supported by an inline citation to a reliable, published source. Contentious material about living persons (or, in some cases, recently deceased) that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion. The section on is poorly sourced if you actually read the article. Previous versions of the article do a better job explaining the sensitive nature but appear to be COI. the current post simply states false information after reviewing sources. Rollback

Hi Fakescientist8000. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Removal of another comment

I'm very concerned that you chose to remove my comment with the claim (which surely isn't in good faith) that it is Grossly inappropriate; elsewhere you have claimed it violated NPOV. Not only do I not see how it's inappropriate (as it provides context to how it's different), I certainly don't see how it's grossly inappropriate. And what in that bit violates NPOV? I'm genuinely confused here - to provide context, I don't recall every touching an issue on Wikipedia relating to the Troubles ... there are surely nuances to it that I'm missing. Nfitz (talk) 18:02, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

@Nfitz: The claim that my removal of your comment wasn't in good faith is moot because I (and other editors) am concerned with the fact that your comment wasn't said in good faith in the first place. @WaltCip even asked you to strike that comment. Instead, you doubled down, making me remove the comment. You do not recall touching an issue relating to the Troubles? The Troubles are irrelevant in this situation. You are the person who brought up the IRA in the first place. My best advice to you is to not escalate the situation beyond what it already is. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 18:46, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
FYI, I didn't revert you because of any political obligation. You just shouldn't mess with another user's comments, especially if it makes the responses nonsensical (obvious typos are fairer game). And I'm willing to bet only "terrorist organization" hit a nerve, not the whole sentence, maybe also the Z spelling. InedibleHulk (talk) 19:09, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
I'm not doubling down; I'm trying to understand exactly where I was NPOV. What seems obvious to one, is not obvious to me. You'd be surprised how little coverage there is on this issue outside Ireland and the UK. One media outlet referred to Sinn Féin as Unionists - because they want union with Ireland! Just because Unionist sensibilities may be offended by seeing a reference to Republicanism, doesn't mean it's not NPOV. I don't think User:InedibleHulk that's the issue; I specifically used the language from Provisional Irish Republican Army to make sure I didn't offend anyone and was clear - as presumably it is NPOV; in the USA an IRA is an "Investment Retirement Account". So I spelled it out; but after a quarter-century most people under 40, would think that "Irish Republican Army" is the army of the Republic of Ireland - so I clarified using "terrorist organization" to differentiate ... which is what that page notes is the designation. Nfitz (talk) 19:34, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
That's plausible enough to me. We can't all know everything! If you want pings to land, though, use curly brackets instead of straight. InedibleHulk (talk) 19:45, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
Hang on - I'm confused - you said you reverted me? The link above says it's Fakescientist that reverted me. Also @InedibleHulk: - you don't get a notification with square brackets? I've been doing it that way since notifications were added! Nfitz (talk) 19:52, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
I implied I reverted him, check the indentation. A handy technique, this "threading". I got that ping, good stuff! InedibleHulk (talk) 20:03, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
Turns out that this was a huge misunderstanding. FML. Apologies to @Nfitz and @InedibleHulk. My bad, should've known better. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 20:08, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
In some cross-editing, I just reverted @InedibleHulk:'s reversion (which I hadn't noticed - despite looking for one). Probably for the best given that it's inadvertently causing offence. I still don't understand how I revealed my distaste for the Unionists ... some very subtle wording I suspect. Nfitz (talk) 20:16, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
Maybe consider Terrorism#Pejorative use. InedibleHulk (talk) 20:21, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
Ugh - really? I mean, they were after all. Nazi has a pejorative usage as well, but surely when one is actually referring to the 1940s German government, it's okay. Next thing, someone will get upset because I referred to the war in Ukraine, rather than the special military operation! They haven't been around for almost a couple of decades - so who's there to offend anyhow? I guess looking at the categories on the article, I should have referred to them as "organized crime organisation" instead of a "terrorist organization"! Nfitz (talk) 20:47, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
Though dare I ask, @InedibleHulk - why are Unionists not wanting to use the word terrorist? I'm being accused of being against Northern Ireland. If you are correct, wouldn't that have meant I was for Northern Ireland? Nfitz (talk) 20:54, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
You suggested (wittingly or not) that Northern Ireland's latest election, long after the bombing stopped, is a win for terrorists. A win for the "political arm" of terrorists, more precisely, but still. Even if you were trying to appeal to Unionists, you're too late; the British media largely views Sinn Féin differently now. InedibleHulk (talk) 16:49, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
I was trying to explain why it's very different and more significant compared to the Hong Kong situation using inoffensive neutral language to those too young to be aware of what happened in Northern Ireland. But I think we've beaten this horse badly now. Nfitz (talk) 20:04, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
I tried asking Google "do children remember the troubles?" and it answered nothing. Figures. Anyway, God forbid, but if you ever find yourself in the midst of a heated debate on childhood amnesia amongst divers members of generally polite mainstream English society, remember, we're not "retards", "cretins", "morons", "imbeciles" or "idiots" anymore. We were just kids, for Pete's sake! So how were we supposed to know anything we noticed could be important later? InedibleHulk (talk) 23:36, 11 May 2022 (UTC)

Does it seem appropriate to SNOW close a nomination with TWO opposes?

If you're so sure the nomination is going nowhere, what's the harm in letting it breathe for more than five minutes? What's the fear? —swpbT • go beyond • bad idea 15:36, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

@Swpb Well, look at the ongoing nomination. I SNOW close it, and all is well. I do not SNOW close the other nom, and all those oppose !voters flock to the other nom in order to oppose it. It isn't a crystal ball, it's common sense. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 15:58, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
It's a different nomination, and I imagine the first few people to jump in aren't especially representative of the votes a longer nom would generate. I question the commonality of your sense. —swpbT • go beyond • bad idea 15:59, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
@Swpb It has been reopened. However, I quote WaltCip regarding it: "it's highly unlikely the consensus will change [from majority opposition]". Cheers! Fakescientist8000 16:54, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

Sorry did I make any mistakes making the page or why was the page deleted? Noogometni urejevalec (talk) 16:22, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

@Noogometni urejevalec Thank you for taking the time to talk to me on my talk page instead of getting us into an edit war. The article was marked for speedy deletion because the article was basically about a non notable person with very little reliable sources. It also had a lot of content that sounded like an advertisement. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 16:25, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for the explanation Noogometni urejevalec (talk) 16:31, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

Neither

Hi. Re WP:GARAGE: Traditionally, based on etymology and underlying meaning, "neither", when distinguishing between items that are themselves singular, always takes the singular. "Neither of the bands is ..." is the same thing as "Neither band is ...", which clarifies the matter because you wouldn't write "Neither band are ...".

On the other hand, with "neither" is well as with "none", I realize actual usage gives support to the plural verb. (By its original, it has historically been "None of the bands is", because "none" = "not one": "Not one of the bands is".) And, in addition, now that I see you also restored those links that I'd removed, I realize the point is to mimic a badly written article, which might indeed have such bogus links in it. I'm surprised I didn't notice that in the first place.

So all is well, though I did want to bring the point to your attention about the traditional prescribed usage of "neither". Regards, Largoplazo (talk) 16:11, 21 May 2022 (UTC)

@Largoplazo Thank you for writing to me politely on my talk page. To me, the etymology and underlying meaning part was all bah humbag to me. I just thought in my head that "neither of the bands are" sounded better than "neither of the bands is". As a native English speaker, when something like that doesn't sound right to your head and/or your gut, it's probably wrong. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 16:47, 21 May 2022 (UTC)

Police Commissioner Steve Turner

I have restored my changes to the page on Mr Turner. The article now reflects the current situation ie that all allegations against him have been dismissed. It is highly likely that the allegations were malicious and made by Labour Party politicians for their own reasons.

You may have felt that my summary was tendentious and I have altered this.

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.57.253.190 (talk) 17:08, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

Please read the process for reviewing and stop outright rejecting articles that have only been submitted once unless they are obviously vandalism or otherwise qualify for speedy deletion (in which case, just tag them.) PRAXIDICAE💕 17:10, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

@Praxidicae I apologize for doing that, and I will not do that unless they qualify for WP:CSD. However, you must realize that I am very new at AfC and thus I am not a veteran reviewer, and thus I'm obviously going to make mistakes when it comes to reviewing. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 17:15, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
Ignorance isn't an excuse nor is it a reason, you're putting off a lot of editors by outright rejecting articles (especially FloridaArmy's which are obviously notable) and declining with non-existent, made up and outright bad reasoning. If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it. You applied for the right on the basis that you have a clue what you're doing but your edits with regard to AFC tell another story. PRAXIDICAE💕 17:16, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

Your page move

Please don't unilaterally move long-standing articles out of mainspace like you did here [1]. This is disruptive and equivalent to stealth deletion. Spicy (talk) 14:00, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

@Spicy Really? It was a bold, good faith moving of an article of which I personally believed fit better as a WP: article as opposed to a main space article. I also wouldn't say it is equivalent to stealth deletion, as not only am I not entirely sure of what that is, it's an accusation based on bad faith assumptions. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 14:26, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
Page moves are not minor edits and should not be marked as such. It is borderline disruptive to move pages using a minor edit mark in the summary and without discussion on the relevant talk page. A misspelled article title might be an exception, but that is not the case here.Dialectric (talk) 13:42, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
@Dialectric: (talk page stalker) Moves are always marked with that small “m”; it isn’t a user option to remove that as far as I know. — Ⓜ️hawk10 (talk) 13:59, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
@Dialectric: Hey there! Thank you for taking the time to message me on my talk page. However, I would like for you to point to the edit where I moved a page as a minor edit. I could explain it, but as of yet you've essentially assumed bad faith in a situation I cannot control (see Mhawk's comment.) Cheers! Fakescientist8000 14:07, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
(talk page watcher) Fakescientist8000, please see this edit - it's clearly you carrying out a page move, and it's got the m for minor edit. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:17, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
@Redrose64 and @Dialectric: I did a test edit here. I concluded that the minor edit of moving is something I am unable to control. Page moving just always is a minor edit. I'm sorry that this has been a big waste of everyone's time but it ultimately boils down to how Wikipedia automatically marks page moving as 'minor'. Cheers! Linda Howe article

Dear Fakescientist8000: Greetings! I am William S. Bike, and I am asking you to reconsider your rejection of my draft of a Linda Howe page for Wikipedia, and that you will allow it to be posted.

You called Ms. Howe not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. I would like to respectfully disagree with this point. Ms. Howe is the author of four books—two with Sounds True Publishing and one with Hay House, which are major publishers in the self-help genre. Her fifth book will be published next month by yet another publisher, Modern Wisdom Press. Her books are therefore desirable among competitive publishers. Her book How to Read the Akashic Records is ranked #65 in the Parapsychology category on Amazon.com. Ms. Howe has sold thousands of books over the years. She therefore is a significant author.

Ms. Howe is the first person to make the Akashic Records (a subject long ago accepted for a listing on Wikipedia) accessible to the masses in several countries. She therefore is a significant pathbreaker. Since Wikipedia has that entry on the Akashic Records, if the Akashic Records are a significant enough subject for Wikipedia to allow an entry on it, it seems logical that a top author of books on the subject should be included on Wikipedia as well.

She also is one of the leading teachers of the Akashic Records in the world, having taught thousands of students in several countries. This makes her internationally significant.

Ms. Howe has won four awards from the Coalition of Visionary Resources, making her acknowledged as a significant figure from an important outside organization.

Let me give you some information about my own credentials. I’ve been successfully posting on Wikipedia for about 15 years. I am a career journalist and media expert. I’ve been published in over 65 venues, including the Chicago Sun-Times and university publications at Loyola University Chicago, DePaul University, the University of Chicago, the University of Illinois Chicago, the University of Illinois Springfield, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I’ve been published in several peer-reviewed/refereed journals: the Delta Epsilon Sigma Journal, Nine: A Journal of Baseball History and Social Policy Perspectives, and the Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies. I have appeared on CNN, and been quoted in Forbes, USA Today, Epoch Times, and other major media. I am the author of four books. I’ve earned more than 60 journalism awards, including the Peter Lisagor Award—the top honor in Chicago journalism. As a career journalist, media commentator, and contributor to referred journals, I understand the importance of accurate and viable sourcing and information, and I believe sources and information about Ms. Howe are sound.

Wikipedia already has an entry on Linda Moulton Howe, a journalist and film maker who covers aliens, cow mutilation, and crop circle conspiricies. I believe differentiating two authors who happen to have similar names is important to both of them.

So I hope you will reconsider rejection of this article about Ms. Howe and allow it to be published. I would welcome any advice about suggested changes that will help the article be accepted for Wikipedia. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope you have a great weekend! Billbike2 (talk) 15:35, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

Hey there, @Billbike2. I rejected the article in mistake as I was new to the AfC thing. I have undone that edit. However, the reliable sources that are listed for her are mostly the same article (by an unreliable source), or primary sources that have a potential conflict of interest and thus should be used only sparingly, and with greater caution. I have a question for you: are you personally involved with the article's subject, Ms. Howe, or any of her books? Just curious. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 16:27, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Hi Fakescientist8000. Thanks for changing the status from rejected to "Review waiting." Much appreciated! I am not personally involved with Ms. Howe or any of her books. I know two people who took her courses and raved about them, and it made me curious to read some of her writings, now that I'm retired from my university job and have a little more time. I found her writing interesting, and since there was nothing up on Wikipedia about her, as a career journalist I decided to put something up. When I was with the UIC College of Dentistry I put up some bios of dental educators who are probably not as significant to education as Ms. Howe, and they went up and stayed up with no question, so I hadn't expected this one hit a snag. However, I absolutely understand that Wikipedia wants a thorough review procedure, and again, I appreciate your making the status change! At this point in my journalism career I'm fortunate to be able to write for various media outlets about people who interest me--from Linda Howe, to baseball player Sammy Sosa, to Jimmy Wood (a baseball player from the 19th century for whom I added info to his Wikipedia page), to Ingrid Washinawatok (the late Native American political activist for whom I also added info to her Wikipedia page) to Donald Trump and Joe Biden. So thanks again, and I hope you have a great weekend!Billbike2 (talk) 17:19, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Hey @Billbike2. I have one more question for you. Are you using the media outlets that you're writing for as sources for Linda Howe/Sammy Sosa/Jimmy Wood/Ingrid Washinawatok/Trump/Biden? Thanks again, and I hope you have a nice weekend as well :) Cheers! Fakescientist8000 17:40, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Hi FakeScientist8000. I never have made changes to the Wikipedia Sosa, Trump, and Biden pages--I just used those names as an example of the varying people I write about for other outlets to show you that I have a lot of interests in a lot of different fields. The Washinawatok changes on the Wikipedia article I made after reading a newspaper article about her, which was not written by me, and I cited that article. For Wood, yes, I used one my outlets as a source. Thanks.Billbike2 (talk) 17:52, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
@Billbike2 I see. I am going to remove that outlet from the Wood page. It's nothing against you, it's just per WP:COI. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 18:01, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Understood. I'm sure there's no problem if I put that paragraph back up if I cite a different source, right? Because I believe I have a book that has that info. Let me know. Thanks. Billbike2 (talk) 18:07, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Yeah, the book would be fine. I would be wary about putting medium article in there anyways, as medium is a self published source, and it is considered generally unreliable. See WP:RSP for more info. I hope you have a good weekend as well! Cheers! Fakescientist8000 18:09, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
OK, thanks!Billbike2 (talk) 18:14, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi Fake (and stalkers),

That's an impressive CV.

I'm a first-timer at submitting an article and was hoping you might be able to review and point out any issues or reasons it may not be published?

It's here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Raffaello_Degruttola

Really appreciate your time and help!

P.S. Hope this is my first article of many - let me know if I should quit while I'm ahead! :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rafffan (talkcontribs) 15:30, 26 May 2022 (UTC)

  • @Rafffan: Hey there! I am always ready to help you with any issues regarding your article. I have viewed it and agreed with Praxidace. It's pretty unsourced in some sections (such as the filmography section) that needs to be addressed. Also, be sure you are always signing your posts with ~~~~ in order to avoid sinebot adding an unsigned section to it :-)
Since you asked, I also believe that you shouldn't quit while you're ahead. You're a new editor and you still have quite a while to go before you end up at RfA. (I mean, what?)
Final question: What is a CV? Cheers! Fakescientist8000 16:24, 26 May 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Paul Gosar Twitter video incident

On 2 June 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Paul Gosar Twitter video incident, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Representative Paul Gosar once posted an anime video on Twitter depicting his killing Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and attacking President Joe Biden? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2021 Gosar-Cortez Twitter incident. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Paul Gosar Twitter video incident), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

We've even posted a couple recently that have been archived, so RDs in a sense don't go stale. The monkeypox item is still under discussion, so unlikely but may still have some views to come. Thanks for your help though. Stephen 01:14, 6 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello @Stephen. I closed those because I noticed that 1) the issues had not appeared to have been fixed, and 2) the editors who were opposed are still in opposition. Therefore, it is quite easy to see that I was being bold, and closed those in good faith. Thank you for helping to discuss this further with me on my talk. (By the way, I've seen what you did there with your signature. Tripped me up, that's what!) Cheers! Fakescientist8000 01:19, 6 June 2022 (UTC)

Interested in Stephanie Cutter article?

Hi FakeScientist8000, I noticed that you have an interest in Massachusetts politics! I've been trying to get some edits made to the Stephanie Cutter article but so far have had no bites. She's a consultant from Massachusetts who worked in the Obama administration. Would you be interested in taking a look? I'd really appreciate it! I won't make any edits myself because I have a conflict of interest. Please let me know! PrecisionChristian (talk) 13:27, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Fakescientist8000. Can you review Draft:Suki da again? I think it has been notable for now. PepeBonus (talk) 11:13, 11 June 2022 (UTC)

@PepeBonus Unfortunately, Suki da already exists as a page. I would have to change the Draft name. What do you believe the new name should be? Cheers! Fakescientist8000 13:36, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
Or can I just copy from the draft to the mainspace? PepeBonus (talk) 13:47, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
Or change name from "Draft:Suki da" to "Draft:Suki Da" before? PepeBonus (talk) 13:50, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
@PepeBonus You cannot do either of those things. It would just collide with the original Suki da. Maybe Suki da (song) might work, but I cannot guarantee anything. Cheers! Fakescientist8000 14:43, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
I think it's work too. PepeBonus (talk) 15:23, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
I have changed from "Draft:Suki da" to "Draft:Suki da (song)". PepeBonus (talk) 16:56, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
I suggest another one "Suki da (Yoasobi song)" PepeBonus (talk) 19:37, 11 June 2022 (UTC)

New Cutter request

Hi FakeScientist8000, I made another request at the Stephanie Cutter Talk page and was wondering if you had seen it/would be willing to review? Please let me know! I really appreciate you reviewing my last request! Cheers, PrecisionChristian (talk) 15:08, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Billy Kametz.png.webp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 00:27, 15 June 2022 (UTC)

New Cutter request and follow up

Hi FakeScientist8000, I had responded to your note about the section headers on the Cutter article Talk page. Though I'd be inclined to agree with you that adding the headers should be noncontroversial, I don't want to risk any appearance of breaking the rules and would feel much more comfortable if you or another editor would consider adding them in. I also made another request at the Stephanie Cutter Talk page and was wondering if you would be willing to review it? I think it adds some good context about Cutter's work with Precision Strategies. I really appreciate all the time you've put into this! Cheers, PrecisionChristian (talk) 15:09, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

Thanks so much for the quick turnaround! I left a follow-up message on the article Talk page about some now-redundant sentences. Thanks for your help! PrecisionChristian (talk) 20:03, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
