Need your eyes

There have been two WP:NPP who have redirected the article Caroline Todd (Green Wing) to the main article, Green Wing (a series that ran from 2004-2007), but the redirects were removed by Dcfc1988 here and here. I see where you warned this editor back on December 8 over a source issue. Another redirect was executed a while ago by another NPP editor, and I'm hoping it will stay this time but I'm not sure it will which is why I'm asking for your advice. Other redirects for this same character include Caroline Todd (Television character) and Caroline Todd (Green Wing character). The individual actors have their own BLPs but the Green Wing cast are all redirects because of obvious WP:N issues. The only cited sources are wikilinks to the sitcom. I'm open to your suggestions regarding how to best proceed if the redirect is removed again. Atsme📞📧 15:45, 27 December 2017 (UTC)

A small explanation regarding an edit

I replaced two occurrences of "center"tag with <div>tag. Its actually a type of lint error which the Wikipedia bots have found out. According to wikipedia,"center" tag is a deprecated tag and might become unusable in near future. So inorder to reduce the time gap in replacing that obsolete/deprecated elements, they have listed a total of 1 crore pages/occurrences where lint errors have occurred. I just replaced in your user page since the page with your name was mentioned. So i guess you must change it to div tag againAdithyak1997 (talk) 17:33, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

What I usually do to centre align tables is format them like this (see International goals table). Mattythewhite (talk) 15:50, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

Darron Gibson Sunderland league appearance

Hi, as of 26th December 2017 Darron Gibson has 25 league appearance for Sunderland. As seen here: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/darron-gibson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/42413/plus/0?saison=&verein=289&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= I presume this confusion comes from someone looking at Soccerbase. Soccerbase incorrectly has him down for 26 league appearances. However they include him coming on as a substitute against Millwall. It was actually Browning who came on in the 82nd minute and Gibson did not play in this match. As seen here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41951283 and https://www.safc.com/fixtures/senior/2017-18/sunderland-v-millwall I don't know where Soccerbase got this information or how to get them to correct their mistake. 18:45, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for telling me about this. I have emailed Soccerbase to notify them of their mistake, but it can take a while for them to action requests, if indeed they actually do. I'll update the stats with a new source. Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 16:14, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

Doubt(s)

Without further ado, Matty,

does a wikilink of a competition (in this case UEFA Champions League) PLUS the season wikilink of the same tournament (i.e. 2011–12 UEFA Champions League) constitute overlinking when in the same article? I think not, but that's why you're the admin am i'm not. User:Hippo43 removed all instances of the former (only keeping the latter) in Unai Emery, and then i rolledback and was subsequently reverted. Certes, i should have undid with an explanatory summary, but when i tried to engage in conversation with said user - also offering an apology for the rollback - received zero words in reply.

Furthermore, they relocated the PERSONAL LIFE section to the PLAYING CAREER going against WP:FOOTY guidelines. What does his family have to do with his playing career (not bearing in mind the wording and what not, should this not be the habitual outline/order for football bios?https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Unai_Emery&diff=815965378&oldid=815788574)?

Last but not least, and also bringing Mauricio Pellegrino into the "mix", i added newspaper articles to source the managers' place of birth (in Mr. Emery's case, TWO refs) and removed the BDFUTBOL entry you added (for that purpose, mind you, full names and heights are still sourced). I trust you find/found no inconvenience in this, if so sorry for the nuisance.

I have highlighted said user's name here, let's see if they want to engage at your talkpage. Happy holidays, from Portugal! --Quite A Character (talk) 23:48, 27 December 2017 (UTC)

Runner-up honours

I have had discussions regarding runner-up honours being included on several footballer articles, one that comes to mind is Ronaldinho, and general consensus would suggest that a player like John Terry or Ronaldinho who have numerous major honours needn't have runners-up medals included in their honours. Comparatively, a player such as Dean Ashton has his runners-up medal in the 2005–06 FA Cup included as it is arguably the most notable achievement of his career. Formulaonewiki (talk) 18:30, 31 December 2017 (UTC)

Can you link to said discussions? Such an approach seems highly subjective and would lend itself to disputes over which articles should have what honours. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:24, 31 December 2017 (UTC)

Dwight Gayle & Jonjo Shelvey

Hello Matty,

I can explain how you've noticed that I introduced two extra appearances for the two player's statistics which were incorrectly used. I have used the Ctrl+F feature and typed in 'Premier League'. What I didn't notice at the time was that there were two hidden 'Premier League's found in the adverts on the right of the Soccerbase webpage.

As to PenguinsElite, which Struway2 pointed out, this user should not be editing anymore since the user was blocked indefinitely, yet it keeps on editing under sockpuppet accounts still...

Once again, all the best for 2018, Iggy (talk) 00:56, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

The figures should be updated in full or not at all. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:47, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

I have noticed a recurring pattern of edits made by someone using this IP range to change the statistics on certain players (mostly on Brighton & Hove Albion players past and present). The user changes the dates to the date of update but in a format which does not conform with WP:MOSDATE (Glenn Murray's for instance used the 'Monday 1st December 2018' format, deviating from the style). I have manually fixed that and posted to the talk page about it. Since the time of post, two more articles on current Brighton players have had the date formatting changed as well which JMHamo reverted both.

It looks like, after the time you blocked the IP address 2a02:c7d:32b7:9e00:688d:2550:75c8:3aea, assuming the same person, they have continued to disrupt Wikipedia by doing the same type of editing before and after the day of the block on 2a02:c7d:32b7:9e00:688d:2550:75c8:3aea. Also, you may remember noticing that a huge amount of edits were made on Lewis Dunk on 19 August 2017, those were also made by the IP addresses from that range.

CHANGING THE STATS

Hi,

I just noticed your message and thanks for it. There are some mistakes that I corrected, i.e. in season 1964-65 goals are 20-7 not 18-5. Probably you didn't added the 2-2 score from the play-off against Cologne played in Rotterdam. As I collect stats for over 30 years I' m sure 100% for the corrections I made. I have stats for attendances for example that it's very difficult to find. But I don't want to mess with anyone. If you have a look again to what I corrected you will agree with me.

Thank you very much for your cooperation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LIVERPOOL1 (talkcontribs) 22:57, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

I told you why on your talk page, that being that the infobox accounts for league figures only. Van Dijk's only appearance so far was in the FA Cup. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:17, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Matty, this person's last worded paragraph: is "second level" hyphenated as the other user inserted? I don't think so, but i could be wrong (it does not seem so, at least with the construction "returned to the English second level"). In the previous summary, i engaged in one of my habitual turns (mind you, again, hysterical but not insulting) after the other user removed, without one word, the "Middlesbrough F.C. managers" template; they, in turn, proceeded to insult me after correcting (seemingly, that is why i ask you) my English.

Please reply accordingly, so that i can go to the other chap's page and give them (politely, i guarantee you) a piece of my mind. Attentively --Quite A Character (talk) 16:01, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

I've left them a message about their edit summary.
I wouldn't use wording like"second level" anyway, and would instead be specific about the name of the division. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:46, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

Returning to Mr. Karanka, getting a bit tiresome this bit... Is this anon user in the right to revert me twice in the infobox, removing the subject's assistant spell at Real Madrid? If they are, of course i'll stop, but i think i read the guideline correctly and conveyed just that in their talkpage (discussion here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:78.147.169.173). --Quite A Character (talk) 18:33, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

Blocked for block evasion. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:45, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
From the reply made on 2 January 2018, I have taken the range block query to zzuuzz who has performed range blocks in the past from a common vandal who sometimes makes disruptive edits to my talk page recently. Since your latest block, edits to some pages were made by more IPs from the range since 20:15 (UTC) yesterday, resulting in what I think is persistent block evasion.
What I think will happen from this IP range is more of the same with disruptive editing like the Glenn Murray change I've linked earlier this month. Also, with the use of Sussex, East Sussex and West Sussex, I think the links to the latter two should remain as it is for everything later than 1974 judging by this revert to Rag'n'Bone Man with the wl change. These changes could be interpreted as incorrect information with respect to the history of these counties, Sussex split into the East and West varieties which should be used when events in this region happened later than 1974 (such as the events on Rag'n'Bone Man who was born there).

BDFUTBOL as source for height/birth data

Sorry it took me so long to reply, was cleaning up/adding refs to Javi Gracia's piece :)

From my extensive dealings with BDFUTBOL, i have found out some errors regarding height EVEN for Spanish sportspeople (not that many, but still), so i imagine if they do that in that case the scenario would even be worse for foreign players/managers. In the case of Silva and Carlos Carvalhal no biggies there, as i replaced the said source with reliable Portuguese ones.

In case anything needs reversion because i failed to (in spite of my "bestest" intentions) meet the site's guidelines, please revert me and sorry for any inconvenience. --Quite A Character (talk) 23:25, 21 January 2018 (UTC)

Bale's league cup Spurs medal.

For some reason there was no information on Gareth Bale page about him taking part in the 2009 league cup final so I added all the information including the runner up medal in his honours section. It's the only competitive honour he collected at Spurs and I feel it's important bit of information to include in his honours, but PeeJay removed it quoting "being a runner-up is not an honour, the medal is merely a token". I consider this very disrespectful to the players that worked hard to get there and take part in the competition. There are so many player articles with competitive runner up medals, why should Bale's be an acception? Could you please have a look, cheers. Govvy (talk) 12:04, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

I would personally agree with the inclusion of runner-up honours, but AFAIK there isn't really definitive consensus either way. I would recommend a discussion at WT:FOOTY, although this subject has been done to death so many times without really getting anywhere. Mattythewhite (talk) 14:37, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

Tom Nichols

Hi Mattythewhite. It appears you blocked me from editing Wikipedia for c. 3 months for adding Tom Nichols' goal against West Ham United U23s, citing a lack of citation despite the fact that I did cite it with this link. Page history here.

Can you explain why you've done this for me please, as the warning on my page doesn't make any sense. Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.195.100.70 (talk) 13:24, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

The IP address was blocked for one month, not three, because of a history of unsourced and unconstructive edits. See the talk page history. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:29, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for replying to me. That doesn't explain why I was banned for this edit though. As demonstrated above I did source the new information.

I could have used this as a reference too https://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2017/october/westhamunitedreport/ but it seems that you are not going to admit to getting it wrong, let alone give me an aplology.

Jimbo Online

Hiya Matty, I am getting quite frustrated with Jimbo Online, he is citing OR as consensus for removing flagicons in team rosters, he doesn't take into account player profiles from the official sources and hasn't provided any direct consensus to which he speaks and I am finding his methods rather disruptive. I was wondering if you could help and have a look. Maybe add a counter-balance to his argument or not. Govvy (talk) 20:19, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

The nationalities are sourced at St Albans City F.C. so I don't the issue. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:11, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

Why is it deemed MOS-compliant on York City but not on other non-League team pages? --Jimbo[online] 22:04, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

It isn't, all football club articles should adopt the MoS-compliant format, but I haven't the time or energy to go about changing more. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:11, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
So you'd agree this edit was erroneously reverted by User:Number 57 just because he didn't like it? I merely used the script and coding that's within the parameters for WP:ACCESS purposes. --Jimbo[online] 22:14, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

Assistance

About the above, and the edit summary found in Nacho, boy do i feel like a curricular nun knowing as we know that (most of) my summaries are not encyclopedical, AT ALL! Anyway, for the title of this message:

1 - Could you weigh in in this user's page and reinforce my message, so he sees i'm not playing games with him (please see here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alexgreene87#Apologies - not the whole content as it is unrelated, just the last paragraph)? SECOND TIME the Soccerway.com source in the chart of statistics is removed summarily, which included the serious move of removing it and adding the ZEROZERO.PT (user-generated) in its place at Vitorino Antunes (diff here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vitorino_Antunes&diff=810470720&oldid=810407092). Commented on the subject in his talkpage, did not receive one single word in reply (note: said user used to be sock extraordinaire User:Pararubbas, but pulled his act together since that and became more or less a reliable contributor);

2 - nuisance has returned in Quim (footballer, born 1959)'s article (really thought they had desisted by now), now with an account (this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Wikvera). Refuses to have anything more or less negative (or not SUPER COOL!) written in the page, chap only managed in amateur football he removes that, chap had FOUR caps for Portugal as the various reliable links attest to, they replace with SEVERAL (!!) caps. Article on my watchlist, if you must know.

Thank you very much with whatever you can provide, continue the good work --Quite A Character (talk) 00:30, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

Still regarding this situation, is there any way to calculate the totals in charts of stats automatically (having a bot perform it, etc)? I don't think the totals at Carlos Martins (footballer) are accurate, no siree! --Quite A Character (talk) 01:04, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for the above! Now, unless i am much mistaken, this user which you blocked (see here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:186.225.12.240), is none other than this one (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/177.0.204.119), both IPs hailing from Videira, Santa Catarina (state). The latter got blocked by THREE YEARS after my reports, and both belonged to banned sock User:Bruno corinthiano/User:Umberto Bottura.

You may also want to look at this, a possible sock puppet of User:PenguinsElte. Iggy (Swan) 18:38, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

Improved the display of the references even further (for lack of a better word, it could imply i'm a better editor than you are when i'm not, as a matter of fact until i know/follow all the guidelines and stop downright breaking some of them (civility, only lose it with vandals but still an "illegal" move) i will only be a normal and gregarious editor), which leads to the question: isn't it time the "website" field has a different display than "newspaper/work"? If not, when you visualize the contents in the non-editing form, two completely different entities will seem the same.

Attentively --Quite A Character (talk) 18:08, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Not sure what you mean in the last sentence. If it helps, Template:Cite web encourages the use of |website= in the place of |work=. They provide the same output. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:18, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

"Publisher" is displayed in a straight form, whereas newspaper and "work" are both "crooked" (for example BBC Sport for publishers, as opposed to Mundo Deportivo or UEFA.com to the other two; that way, some might deduce they are the same when MD is a newspaper and UEFA.com a website). --Quite A Character (talk) 18:55, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

They both display in italics, but I don't see that as being problematic. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:58, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

2.01|m|ftin|order=flip vs. 2.01|m|order=flip

I have noticed that you've made this change to Fraser Forster which makes me think that using the ftin part of the convert template would be unnecessary. When I typed in insource:"m|order=flip}}" in the search bar, there are around 150 with that sort of source in there. Iggy (Swan) 15:24, 3 February 2018 (UTC)

Yup, I've been routinely removing ftin as it's unnecessary. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:27, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
However, it has brought to my attention that the ftin bit is necessary for lengths greater than 3 metres. I cannot understand why that is though, the Template:Convert/doc does not mention that. Football player's heights are not going to go past 3 metres anytime soon so I presume there is nothing wrong with it. Iggy (Swan) 16:13, 3 February 2018 (UTC)

Sporting CP page is a mess. There are barely updates on the career stats, and the layout is incomplete. Everytime I update there's always something going on. It's either: you correct the update, but fix it and don't undo it making the profile incomplete, or leave as it is since you can clearly understand all I'm doing is fixing the issue. I am expressing a concern that this IP address has been used by PenguinsElite. The IP address there closely resembles that of 109.180.194.83 which was identified as one no later than 4 August 2017.

The clue: A Rugby Union club article from Middlesbrough is mostly edited by PenguinsElite over the past few months.

craig goodwin references

saw your reversion... can you help me find the accurate FIFA link, then? i didn't realize Futhead wasn't a reliable source, but it also seems like the Socceroos and Soccerway are also unreliable. so why do they get to stay? i'm just trying to understand why one set of unreliable sources is deemed more reliable than another. CanoeUnlined (talk) 00:48, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

Soccerway and the Football Federation Australia's official website are not unreliable sources. Mattythewhite (talk) 00:50, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

Moussa Sissoko

Hi mate,

I don't think adding information about Sissoko being criticised for his poor first touch is any more biased/subjective than the existing section:

"Sissoko has been described as a "well-rounded central midfielder" who is "tall, rangy, and strong in the tackle".[6][7][8]"

If the article can highlight his strengths, why should it not also make references to the weaknesses in his game?

Reverts, warnings

Hello. Are you absolutely sure that reverting the edit by Rjmdean was not only the right thing to do, but also worth giving him a final warning? His edit made perfect sense. I would suggest that perhaps doing less but more carefully, preferring quality to quantity, can be more beneficial.—J. M. (talk) 16:45, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

I would recommend you take a look at WP:OR and WP:RS. Mattythewhite (talk) 14:16, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

I wanted to ask your opinion, I changed the final column per what I thought WP:ACCESS would suggest but I got reverted back. I thought it should be displaying the same number on each row and shouldn't be combined into one cell for what you said about the name of the league data you pointed out out on the club MoS talk page. I expressed concerns on the Real Madrid season talk page, but it feels ignored. Thoughts please, Govvy (talk) 12:19, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

I've not much experience with top scorer tables, but I think they're usually formatted like how they are on the Real Madrid page. Which part of WP:ACCESS do you feel it contravenes? Mattythewhite (talk) 14:25, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
WP:Manual of Style/Accessibility/Data tables tutorial Has nothing like that on a numbers row, seems to me you shouldn't be combining three cells into one like that on Real's page, After what you said on the other talk page, it made sense to me that you shouldn't combine number fields like that done on the season page. Govvy (talk) 14:50, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Uncited source

I would recommend actually checking the cited source right next to what you claim is unsourced before sending messages about blocking. Skblole (talk) 00:05, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

And my recommendation to you is to update the access date when you verify a source's url. Mattythewhite (talk) 00:14, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
Sure, should have done that, but let's not act like we made equal mistakes here. You should probably apologize. But that's not your style, I get it. Skblole (talk) 00:41, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
FWIW, I did check the source before reverting you, but must have compared it to the wrong revision, so I apologise for that. Mattythewhite (talk) 00:49, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

YCFC Programmes

Going through my extension YCFC programme collection (mainly mid 1960s to present date, plus some going back to late 40s), I would like to update various wiki pages with programme information, can I update wiki and cite specific programmes as my source, I'd like to make sure you're ok with it as a source before I start. Wilf Meek edited the programme for over 40 years until his death and later Dave Batters provided a lot of the content, so its from reliable sources. Some things it reveals are that Chesterfield were the 91st FL club to get floodlights leaving Hartlepools United (as they were called at the time) as the last club without, there is a one page Ron Spence profile followed n by a 2 part / page Colin Meldrum profile early in the74/75 season, various details about the ground (i.e. opening of the programme hut, preliminary talks with BR re the railway halt), John Peachey's brother played for City reserves in 73/4. You'll see some of my other work on the City History page of the York city south website. CMF Chrismf (talk) 20:58, 21 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I think matchday programmes are acceptable sources. I use them on occasion, and format them like this: ,<ref>York City F.C. match programme. 15 August 2009. p. 21.</ref>. @Struway2:, do you know of a more suitable format? Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 17:50, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
What I seem to have suggested years ago is to format with {{cite book}},
<ref>{{cite book |title=Blues News |date=28 April 2012 |editor=Lewis, Peter |publisher=Birmingham City F.C. |page=27}}</ref>
which comes out looking like
Lewis, Peter, ed. (28 April 2012). Blues News. Birmingham City F.C. p. 27.
If including an author, use |first= and |last= and it comes out looking like
Bloggs, Fred (28 April 2012). Lewis, Peter (ed.). Blues News. Birmingham City F.C. p. 27.
But if using the templates is too much hassle, just write the important bits between the <ref></ref> tags so that it looks something like the output above.
<ref>Lewis, Peter, ed. (28 April 2012). Blues News. Birmingham City F.C. p. 27.</ref>
Anything that looks roughly like that is fine. If the programme has a name, use that with the club as a publisher, if it doesn't, use clubname F.C. match programme. And I'd include the editor of the programme, and if you're citing a piece by a named author, include their name. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 18:33, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Disruptive editing

Another of my countrymen (please see here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/5.249.7.134) continues at it (not the one i mentioned to you last week or so, but i have already come across this utter nuisance), also removing SOCCERWAY in the stats chart and inserting the user-generated ZEROZERO in its place (as seen for example in Daniel Podence)? Could you please up the ante in their talk page (not that i think it will do any good, but...)?

Bottom line, if Mr. Ramírez has never been called to the Spanish A-team after his youth spell, retirement or not from said setup is a completely unrelated matter.

Are you also in favour of removing NT updates for non-active international players (especially bearing in mind cases like Mr. Ramírez, described above)? --Quite A Character (talk) 21:00, 6 February 2018 (UTC)

Matty, i sincerely don't know where are we going wrong (or maybe it's just me, maybe the IP address understands you perfectly and they feel ONLY ME is being an utter nuisance), but can you go again to my countryman's talkpage (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:5.249.7.134) and explain how we feel here about SOCCERWAY.com?

Now, in another twist that left me feeling mighty uncomfortable, i am being told that an e-mail will be sent to "...wikipedia official staff making a complain about your moderation..." if i continue with this at Daniel Podence - and other articles, i imagine. I have issued an apology because the IP tells me they feel offended by my (correct) actions, and i also directed them to you so that they can report them if they wish it; can a brother lend a hand, please?

Daniel Podence

The page is still not updated like when I took the time to correct the information. I understand how you feel about transfermarket or zerozero.pt - both credible site stats widely used here to update by the second the changes in the players, but ok - but rules are rules, I get that. So I used a source that was official and the page is still not updated or corrected. EVEN if you had to remove my update, how can LEAVING an incorrect, messed up format on the players page BE THE SOLUTION? This would be like stopping hunger in Africa countries but complaining the food wasn't from a top brand!!

I will say it again - you either UPDATE YOURSELF the Podence page, with correct formatting and stats - sinc eyou took the time to ruin my work you won't have a problem - or I'll go to an official staff member, by email or twitter, and expose this politic for whats been doing to the page of Sporting CP. You have ruined my work for 4 times, I WILL STOP USING WIKIPEDIA if you don't fix what you did!!

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.249.7.134 (talk) 18:59, 27 February 2018 (UTC)

Referencing a comp copy

Hi Matty, I could do with a bit of advice. Because of my WP work, I've been sent a comp copy of a book from Soccerdata and I plan to use it as a reference. Although the content isn't top of my priorities at the moment, it's one that I probably would have bought and used anyway so I don't believe there's any COI, but I just wanted to make sure I was doing things 'by the book'. As far as I'm concerned, it's not really much different to getting access to the various archives and publications via the Wikipedia Library, but I suppose it could be construed as an inducement although I've made no commitments. Would you say that a note on my User page would be enough? (@GiantSnowman and Number 57: opinions also welcome). Thanks, Nzd (talk) 15:49, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

List of future sadiuns - lack of references

Hello

I have followed the article List of future stadiums for a while. The article sufferers from a serious lack of references. I have added a notification at the top of the article and I have raised the issue on the talk page. Despite this, some users continue to add stadiums without correct references, notably user Blueandwhite87. I have tried to communicate directly with this user (here and here), without any response. The only results I got from it was that he or she started to put bare links in the comment field when he or she added new stadiums. Do you know how I can address this problem? I do not want to stop this user from adding content (he or she obviously has some kind of sources), but I want to prevent this article from getting rubbish, full of rumors that can not be verified.

Kindest regards /EriFr (talk) 16:54, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
