Hi and thanks for laying the foundation for the creation of this article. I'm glad you added the project templates to the talk page. I only wanted to let you know that when you add the templates, the class and/or priority spaces have specific criteria. On the templates of this article, class was given as "start" for the WP:Biography filmbio work group, and as "B Class" for the WikiProject Germany group. The article clearly doesn't meet anything above a stub class at the moment. If you would, please leave the class and/or priority spaces to be filled in by the assessment department of the appropriate project, since different projects have different approaches to ratings, especially in regard to priority. Thanks again for starting the article. Wildhartlivie (talk) 11:31, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Collaboration of the Month

Magic Johnson has been chosen to be our very first Collaboration of the Month article. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. The goal is to improve this article by the end of May so that it can be nominated for Featured Article status. In particular, free-use images should be found for the article, all Manual of Style guidelines should be followed, and a neutral point of view should be maintained throughout the article. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.

Magic Johnson[edit]

Hi there, you may have noticed the NBA project members are currently collaborating to bring Magic up to FA status. Do pop by if you can, since you were the main contributor! Chensiyuan (talk) 13:40, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NBA championship templates nominated for deletion[edit]

Just in case you hadn't noticed, User:Djsasso has nominated all of the NBA championship templates for deletion. As a primary contributor to these templates, I thought you might want to offer your input. See Wikipedia:Templates_for_deletion#NBA_Championship_Templates. — Myasuda (talk) 00:55, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Just thought you'd like to know that the plot section has been significantly trimmed down and is also now written out-of-universe. Your input on the FAC would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! --Hemlock Martinis (talk) 01:48, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Russell FAR[edit]

Hello,

I wanted to let you know that I intend to take the Bill Russell article to WP:Featured article review. This is something I've been planning to do for a while. I'll list my rationale at the FAR page shortly, and send you a message when that discussion is live.

Thanks, Zagalejo^^^ 05:49, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FAR is live[edit]

Bill Russell has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. Zagalejo^^^ 06:52, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Storm-bigcostume2.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Storm-bigcostume2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of List of basketball nicknames[edit]

I have nominated List of basketball nicknames, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of basketball nicknames. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice?Chris! ct 18:51, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there[edit]

Hi! I don't know if you remember me, but I reviewed Emma Watson when you put it up for GA. Anyway, I'm looking for input on 2008 Chino Hills earthquake because I'm planning on getting that to GA soon. You are very accomplished, in general, but particularly in the field of GAs, so comments and suggestions from you would be invaluable. Best regards, Cliff smith talk 17:23, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for checking it out. Splat5572 put it up for GAC, as I just found out after reading your notes, so hopefully it will pass. And re: your comment on the lead, it's a good length for an earthquake article. I had no idea what they should be like either, so I checked out 1992 Nicaragua earthquake (GA) for an idea of what it should look like. Similar article size, anyway. Again, I really appreciate the comments. Thanks, Cliff smith talk 21:26, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Kerri Walsh pic to Commons[edit]

WikiProject Good Articles Newsletter[edit]

Sorry about the delay. AWB has been having a few issues lately. Here is the august issue of the WikiProject Good Articles Newsletter! Dr. Cash (talk) 20:45, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering why did you put the article Dennis Rodman as a GAC related to the Los Angeles Lakers when you didn't even put the template on the top of the talk page. I doens't have WP:NBA on it. -- K. Annoyomous24 22:15, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Next time, do that first before putting it on a WikiProject. -- K. Annoyomous24 22:24, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again! I'm wondering, if you're not too busy, if you could take a look at another article. Anyway, the article this time is Mad Men. I researched info mostly on production, since it was somewhat lacking in that department, over the past couple of months. Just put up my additions yesterday. Took it from this to this. I'm fully aware that Mad Men isn't as close to GA as Chino Hills was when you looked at it, but I'm hoping to get Mad Men to GA this month. And I hope you get a chance to look at it. Thank you, Cliff smith talk 17:22, 1 September 2008 (UTC) P.S. 2008 Chino Hills earthquake passed GAC, thanks again for the notes :)[reply]

Jerry West on hold[edit]

The article, Jerry West, is on hold. Please visit the talkpage for details. Wonderfully done article! Thanks, and good luck! CarpetCrawler (talk) 23:44, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! I'll take a look when I get back from dinner, but from skimming it looked pretty good! I'll take a closer look in a bit. CarpetCrawler (talk) 22:54, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I've placed the article on hold for a bit. Unlike normal, this isn't because of any clear changes that need to be made, as the article was very good, but I think there are possible changes that warrant discussion before passing the article. - Bilby (talk) 13:10, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New[edit]

I just saw you on the basketball portal discussion page and wanted to know what I can do to improve something. User:CATCHACODE

Thanks[edit]

Thanks I will get started right away. Also I havent had a lot of time lately so that is why i have not a had a chance to do much.

Hello there. A friend is working on this GA to get it up towards FA level. I'm working on some copyediting, and another pair of eyes (especially a pair as sharp as yours) would be awesome. Hope you can check it out :) Cliff smith talk 21:25, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
