User page help

Your user page says This editor is a Grandmaster Editor. (verify) but I do not see how I would get that to happen on my talk page. I am a mere Master Editor IV. Please tell me how, right here on your talk page.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 20:21, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm an idiot

On this SPI, I didn't check that the text I pasted was above that mandatory line or not... thanks for fixing that for me. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:14, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I opened this yesterday morning UK time and you referred it to checkuser, although I'm not quite sure why because the behavioural evidence was obvious. It is now well over 24 hours since the checkuser reply came back but there has still been no action taken, although the sock-/meat-puppets have continued to make promotional edits to the article in question. Please could you take some action to stop them? Phil Bridger (talk) 19:06, 18 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I find it very difficult to understand your close. It's not a matter of the other editors editing the same article, but they did so as their very first edits on Wikipedia, and, in the first case to whitewash the article by removing any mention in the article or in the sources of a qualified person who has criticised this clinic, and in the second case by adding promotional edits sourced to the clinic's own web site. And both of these happened soon after an editor had been blocked for promotion. Where should I go to appeal against a decision made at WP:SPI, because this was one of the most obvious cases of sock- or meat-puppetry that I've seen? Phil Bridger (talk) 18:34, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And now another obvious sock-/meat-puppet has turned up. Please either reconsider your decision or tell me how I can appeal against it. I've spent all week trying to cope with your lack of support in this matter. Phil Bridger (talk) 16:39, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to complain at WP:ANI. Vanjagenije (talk) 22:11, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

accusations against me

Hello I am being accused by several users of being a soc or another user. Much of these claims date back years. Now the reaso nwhy this is a problem is because I did not move to Canada until June of 2018, prior to that I was in th eUK. While I was in th eUK, I had been accused of being another user as well, hence why I am rathe rupset that I have to go through this all over again. Please see my talkpage and can you give me advice on what to do about these accusations? How can I go forward from here knowing that these accusations exist? I don't know where some of them come from, maybe soe explanations are in order. I'm reaching out to you and a couple others fo rhelp, I understand you are a socpuppet investigation as seen on a SPI linked in a discussion I was in on the village pump. thanks. 199.101.61.34 (talk) 11:10, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Also you may want to do something about 2600:8800:1880:fc:5604:a6ff:fe38:4b26, this guy who not only accuses me of being a troll, but also is reverting edits (some of which are not mine) 199.101.61.34 (talk) 12:38, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Template help

Hi Vanja,

I just tried to fix roughly in the Kneževi Vinogradi article that the Hungarian name today is Hercegszöllős, but but older forms were as well Herczegszöllős and Herczeg-Szöllős (since the article only used one of the older forms), but incidentally also after finishing the edit the following message became visible (although not anymore I was in preview naturally):

Warning: Page using Template:Infobox settlement with unknown parameter "pushpin_map_caption1" (this message is shown only in preview).

Warning: Page using Template:Infobox settlement with unknown parameter "pushpin_map1" (this message is shown only in preview).

A tried to revert myself to trace the problem, but sometimes it worked and the message disappeared, other times without any wise reason came back..I gave up...could you please help to make it diasappear? Thank You(KIENGIR (talk) 00:11, 13 April 2019 (UTC))[reply]

@KIENGIR: That message has no connection to your edit. Simply, the {{Infobox settlement}} uses two depreciated parameters ("pushpin_map_caption1" and "pushpin_map1") and those two should be removed from the template. Vanjagenije (talk) 07:28, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked Users on Other Wikis

Hi Vanjagenije,

Back in 2010, you blocked the user WikiLubber (see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/block&page=User%3AWikiLubber). This user is active on Wikiquote. Do you have any idea how to get the block extended to Wikiquote? I realize you're not an admin for Wikiquote, but I was wondering if you happened to know if there is any sort of policy/procedure for blocking a user across Wikis.

Thanks! OCNative (talk) 06:04, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You have to find a Wikiquote admin. I don't know anything about Wikiquote policies. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:35, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Did you know what Manyogana (萬葉假名) is? All manyogana is that a japanese sentence WRITE IN HAN CHARACTERS just because there were no HIRAGANAs and KATAKANAs then, so the Japanese people then borrowed HAN CHARACTERs with their PRONOUNCIATION to write their native words and that's what KANAs come from. I may be grammarly wrong but I think you should not undo one's action especially if you are unfamiliar with their culture and you didn't even read through my edition. All of the explanation above is in the articles Man'yōgana and Kana. Regardless of all of these, thank you for undoing my edition for telling me that most people don't understand the meaning that I want to express if they are not accounted to the Han-Japanese culture.TNTErick (talk) 04:04, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator account security (Correction to Arbcom 2019 special circular)

ArbCom would like to apologise and correct our previous mass message in light of the response from the community.

Since November 2018, six administrator accounts have been compromised and temporarily desysopped. In an effort to help improve account security, our intention was to remind administrators of existing policies on account security — that they are required to "have strong passwords and follow appropriate personal security practices." We have updated our procedures to ensure that we enforce these policies more strictly in the future. The policies themselves have not changed. In particular, two-factor authentication remains an optional means of adding extra security to your account. The choice not to enable 2FA will not be considered when deciding to restore sysop privileges to administrator accounts that were compromised.

We are sorry for the wording of our previous message, which did not accurately convey this, and deeply regret the tone in which it was delivered.

For the Arbitration Committee, -Cameron11598 21:04, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tony on semi-Wikibreak

Hi there, left this for Tony a few hours ago [1] and then saw he's away on semi-Wikibreak. Might you be able to answer the question for me, about whether I should raise the query about an existing case on his Talk page or in the case page itself? I'm not sure if the case page is restricted to Administrators or if it's not the place for queries. My time is scarce, which is why I ask. Many thanks, Bob. -- Roberthall7 (talk) 05:51, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Question

Hi Vanja,

before I would turn here, I ask you maybe I miss something...my watchlist is default set to list prior changes back to 3 days...in case I select 7, or 30 (though I'd need 7 right now), only the last 250 changes are listed, regardless of the setting (though the change is visible by the date and the days parameters, but in fact the pages listed (and their number) pages remain identical (and also such tabs like "previous/next" are missing...I do something wrong or it's a technical issue? (i'd need to go back until 24 June, but it won't go before 27 June....) Thank You(KIENGIR (talk) 08:14, 29 June 2019 (UTC))[reply]

Infobox Inhumans IMAX

It was never a redirect. It was mergerd per Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2019_March_17#Template:Infobox_Inhumans_IMAX and was only ever used on one page. It was never agreed to be changed to a redirect after merge. Also, it was not actually merged, but just replaced with additional manual code, so even less reason for it to be a redirect. --Gonnym (talk) 15:52, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Gonnym: I understand. What WP:Speedy deletion criteria do you want to use to delete the redirect? Vanjagenije (talk) 15:53, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sometimes you need to WP:IAR if this specific use-case "Was created as a fork out of consensus for one article, which was later brought to TfD and by consensus changed to a merge, which wasn't really a merge, but more of 'a just use the normal template and add manually the missing fields you need', then changed to redirect but not part of the TfD result" is not present. It should really have just been moved to Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Holding cell#Ready for deletion and be dealt with there, but whatever. --Gonnym (talk) 15:57, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Malik Article

Hello Vanjagenije I just noticed you deleted my first wiki article. Its really discouraging and for you to say there wasn't a single independent reliable source with significant coverage presented is so not true. If you had taken your time to read the references provided, I noticed most of you don't considered our African news sources as reliable which is very bad. I am really disappoint and discourage from creating or editing on wiki. Kofipedia (talk) 02:21, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Kofipedia: Yes, actually I did check every single link in the article, and there was nothing that satisfies WP:GNG. African sources are expected to meet the very same criteria as any other sources, there can't be special criteria for Africa. I am sorry for your disappointment. I am disappointed too that you have been WP:Votestacking at the deletion discussion. Such behavior is not allowed here. Vanjagenije (talk) 12:14, 22 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bumps & Bruises (Ugly God album)

Just to let you know that this article, which you deleted on July 23, seems to have been recreated immediately... I've no idea if it's any different to the deleted version, but it only has one source so far. Richard3120 (talk) 01:22, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Richard3120: I deleted the redirect, so that the article can be moved to the correct title. That is clearly stated in the deletion log (see here). It was then moved by Pichpich [3]. Everything is OK. Vanjagenije (talk) 10:30, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Baba Anujka

On 19 September 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Baba Anujka, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Serbian poisoner Baba Anujka (pictured), aged over 90 at the time of her trial, was sentenced to 15 years' hard labor? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Baba Anujka. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Baba Anujka), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

NEED SUPPORT: Draft Josip Zovko

Hello Vanjagenije, the German administrator de:benutzer:Aspiriniks gave me the hint to contact you. I wrote the article Josip Zovko in German and Croatian. I have translated these in English. I uploaded this to Wikipedia EN.

The problem is probably that the English Wikipedia has no administrator who speaks the Serbo-Croat language. I have translated all references to English as requested. For the article I have taken reputable Croatian reports from HRT (Hrvatska Radiotelevizija), Slobodna Dalmatia, Vecernji List, Novi List, etc. In addition, I have named the author by name. These are therefore reputable third pages that report objectively about the artist. I do not want to profile myself personally in this report. This would not be possible with such a report. This is about the artist Josip Zovko who died on April 03, 2019 by a traffic accident in Bosnia. The attached and uploaded images are all licensed and uploaded and shared with Wikipedia Commons. Can you confirm that the article is objective and authentic? The German administrator de:benutzer:Aspiriniks can confirm this, because he had checked the pages on the German Wikipedia page and released. You are welcome to contact the German administrator. I hope you can help me! Moj Galeb (talk) 13:21, 20 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ana Ivanovic and International relations

Hi Vanjagenije

I was adding a link to Portal:International relations to articles on ambassadors, and had forgotten that it included Category:Goodwill ambassador programmes and its subcats, including Category:UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors. So they got included in my AWB run, including Ana Ivanovic, who is in Category:UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, during which I was concentrating onscrutinising the styntactical accuracy rather than reviewing the nature of each article.

Reviewing that example, it seems to me to be a bit of a tossup as to whether that portal link was appropriate. I can see good arguments both ways, and in the case of a marginal categorisation I would default toward a "no", but with links I default a little toward a yes. I don't object to your revert[5] since you evidently come down on the "no" side of a marginal choice, which is fair enough. But I think here is merit in it, so I don't feel inclined to go and revert any of the others.

Hope that clarifies what happened. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 19:40, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Vanja, Berean Hunter brought to my attention your merging the above report, apparently on November 20, 2019, to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Woshiyiweizhongguoren. These are two separate masters and should both have their own cases. My memory is hazy, but it may be that at some point I misled you as there has been some cross-over between the two masters with Woshiyiweizhongguoren deceptively creating accounts whose usernames are similar to Yanela.s zulu and socks. Anyway, I have no clue as to how to put this to right, but I assume you can? Let me know if anything is unclear so we can get this straightened out properly. Thanks much.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:54, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Bbb23: This is some kind of misunderstanding. I was asked by Cabayi to history-merge those two pages (see the #SPI merges section above). I have no idea what is it about, I just wanted to help Cabayi becaouse they are not an administrator. It's quite tricky now to determine which edits in the history belong to one case, and which to another, but I'll try to solve it. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:34, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, thank you, Vanja. Do you think it would help to have two different templates for moving single reports as opposed to merging whole cases? {{SPIcasemerge}} and {{SPImovereport}} to disambiguate and clarify for the clerks? This has happened before with different clerks and will likely happen again if we don't clarify our semantics. I think Cabayi read Bbb23's comment, "...move this report..." to mean that the cases should be merged.

Damon Runyon's short story "Dancing Dan's Christmas" is a fun read if you have the time. Right from the start it extols the virtues of the hot Tom and Jerry

This hot Tom and Jerry is an old-time drink that is once used by one and all in this country to celebrate Christmas with, and in fact it is once so popular that many people think Christmas is invented only to furnish an excuse for hot Tom and Jerry, although of course this is by no means true.

No matter what concoction is your favorite to imbibe during this festive season I would like to toast you with it and to thank you for all your work here at the 'pedia this past year. Best wishes for your 2020 as well V. MarnetteD|Talk 20:46, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Warning you sended me....

Good day Sir,

I am sorry for being seen as the "not knowing what he is writing" person. I am just trying to help people. I am just trying to tell people how it is/was. Wikipedia should be based on true facts and not wrong lies spread around. I myself am just editing topics, that I did a LOT of research about. I spended hours/days of reading an learning about the history of my home country (Kosova), the one of Albania and also some about other countries of the Balkans. Also about their relations with other countries and so on.... . Those people that undo my changes are just people that dont know what is true and what is false. Those people didnt research about that topic like I did. Instead of calling my changes pathetic and wrong, they should be thankful for the true facts that I am trying to provide to millions of people that want to learn about those topics! I hope u understand my point of view.

Your sincerely,

Hi Vanjagenije. Would you mind watching User talk:Obsuser#Non-free use of File:Bosnia and Herzegovina's national anthem.ogg for a bit. I’m actually trying to help them, but I think their unfamiliarity with WP:NFCCP makes them think that I’m not. If they proceed to edit war with a bot over something like this, they will get blocked again most likely for a much longer time than a week. Perhaps as an admin, you may be able to better explain to them why the file is at risk of being removed as long as it’s missing a rationale for a certain use. — Marchjuly (talk) 13:56, 26 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A page with "Malik Ofori" title has previously been moved or deleted by you

Hello there, I just noticed you delete a page I am trying to create which seems to have been previously created. I decided to contact you first before proceeding with the creation of the page for Malik Ofori; a Ghanaian filmmaker. ThanksM01001111 (talk) 19:14, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@M01001111: I deleted the Malik Ofori page after consensus for deletion was reached here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Malik Ofori. The problem with the article was in the WP:notability of its subject. Notability is established by citing independent reliable sources that significantly cover the subject (see WP:42). But, there was not a single such source cited in the article, nor in the said deletion discussion. If you want to re-create the article, you need to demonstrate that there are such sources now. But, another problem with the article was that it was created and edited by people personally connected to Malik Ofori in violation of Wikipedia's policy on the WP:conflict of interest. So, I have to ask you: Do have any personal or business connection to Malik Ofori? How did you get the idea to write about him? Vanjagenije (talk) 20:06, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Vanjagenije: I have come across his name many time on football articles like this https://talksport.com/football/652562/fans-twitter-phil-jones-manchester-city-kevin-de-bruyne-goal-highlight-video-skill/ so i decided to google him and found out he is an influencer and a filmmaker in Ghana. I decided to make a Wiki page for him since there wasn't one. I have no personal or business connection with him. I want to become a good wiki editor like yourself and a believe having or creating more articles and improving Wikipedia will go a long way in helping me gain experience. M01001111 (talk) 23:47, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@M01001111: I see. Still, the article needs reliable independent sources that significantly cover the subject in order to prove the notability of the subject. Can you cite such sources? If you can, the best way for you is to create a wp:draft article (like Draft:Malik Ofori) and submit it to the WP:AfC process. Vanjagenije (talk) 00:07, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) Guyjysus, if this is about Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica, then it seems what the problem is with the edits right now is that you are removing content from the article that is backed up by credible sources. I don't think there is a problem with what you're adding, just with what you're removing. –ToxiBoi! (contribs) 03:47, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vanja,

regarding a subject a new shortdesc has been aded, that I finetuned similar to German langauge, i.e., the rest you may catch from the edit logs...an IP reverted me with the weird accusation of vandalism...when I opened the discussion in the talk, the IP blanked it ([8]) with the comment of being '"off-topic", that is obviously not the case...moreover he reverted again, re-iterating the same accusation...the Ip anyway seems to completely ignore the argumentation and reacts by a typical straw man arguments, in contradiction even the page's own classification...at this point I ask your intervention...Thank you for your time.(KIENGIR (talk) 20:22, 15 February 2020 (UTC))[reply]

@KIENGIR: Regarding the edits to the article, it seams to me that the IP is right. You were constantly trying to insert a short description "{{short description|Czech–Slovak languages}}" which makes no sense. Slovak language is obviously just ONE of Czech–Slovak languages, so its description cannot be "Czech–Slovak languages" (that would be plural). Regarding the talk page edit, I reverted the IP. Vanjagenije (talk) 01:33, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, may be we have a misunderstanding, I never said/assumed only Slovak would belong to the Czech–Slovak languages (would Czech-Slovak language in singular comply then?), I just followed by the classification line the parent, that is presented on the infobox and part of the first sentence of the article. Would you agree to change the current revision then to West-Slavic language, hence not just in Slovakia Slovak is spoken? Thank You(KIENGIR (talk) 01:57, 16 February 2020 (UTC))[reply]
Feel free to discuss it on the article talk page. I have no interest in the topic and my talk page is not proper place for such discussion. Vanjagenije (talk) 10:16, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sjenica

Hi. I realized that you reverted my edit, stating that the source was provided. However, I checked the sources provided and the IP user (user 178.149.140.147) changed the figures such that it did not match what the source says. This IP user (and other similar users) has also changed the climate figures on other Serbian cities without providing a source. For example, in my edit, if you compare the climate table to this source, the figures are correct (averages are from 1981-2010 while extremes are from 1961-2010). However, when the IP user changed the figures, a lot of them did not match what the official data says. For example:

  • Jan mean (IP version) -2.3 / Jan mean (from source) -3.6
  • Feb mean (IP version) -1.0/ Feb mean (from source) -2.7
  • Mar mean (IP version) 4.0 / Mar mean (from source) 1.8
  • Annual sunshine (IP version) 2066.8/ Annual sunshine (from source) 1936.8

Please check the sources for the climate data and look at the whether the changes the IP user made are correct before reverting my edits. Thanks. Ssbbplayer (talk) 16:07, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vanjagenije. Since you are an admin and experienced Balkan editor, one expects you are willing to and capable of helping the community to build consensus and trust. Responding to Sadko's request by reverting SerVasi and then warning him for 3RR without warning Sadko too (who had made the same number of reverts), does not send to that direction. Please do not try to out other people like some kiddo but instead try to discuss, talk and add more RS and any material to the project. cheers Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 19:47, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My edit is common knowledge in all but one country. Just because you belong to that one in particular doesn't mean I am being disruptive. Also i don't know who are you refering to as a sock but it seems like just another slanderous comment from you "kiddo". SerVasi (talk) 23:29, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vanja,

I made a little mistake, an editor copy-pasted the whole article in the talk as an edit request, but MusikBot intervened, and I reverted that also...could you fix it, I think I have no access to those templates normally, I failed to establish reverting myself on that part. Thank You(KIENGIR (talk) 21:07, 14 March 2020 (UTC))[reply]

Kosovo city names

Hi,

I've noticed that you keep changing Kosovo city names to Serbian. Can I know what is the reason, except you being Serbian?

The situation has changed since 1999 and the official names depend on the people living there. Yes, e.g. Gračanica can be written in Serbian because the majority of people living there are Serbian but places with different majorities cannot have Serbian names.

Can you please not undo changes because this doesn't contribute to the articles? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drenqiqi (talkcontribs) 12:53, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Drenqiqi: Wikipedia's content is based on certain WP:policies and guidelines which are result of editors' WP:consensus. One of the very logical guidelines is that the the article's title should be consistently used throughput the article to name its subject. For example, if the title of the article is "Mališevo", then the article should start with "Mališevo is a town...", and not with "Malishevë is a town...". It is confusing to have one name in the title and the other in the lead sentence. That is the reason your edit is misleading and confusing. If you think the whole article should be renamed (moved to a new title), see WP:RM for proper procedure. But, be aware that in Wikipedia, official named and local names are irrelevant, the only relevant concept is the WP:COMMONNAME. Vanjagenije (talk) 16:57, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wanting to delete the newly created article Formula E in New York with Liv Tyler 2018

Might you want to tell me why you want this particular article deleted right a way? You can't just ask for something to be deleted off of Wikipedia without given a rational explanation towards why (and it can't simply because personally you don't think that it's notable enough)! I should add that Greg Williams must be notable enough himself, that he has his own article on Wikipedia. And the 2018 edition of the New York City ePrix, has its own article. BornonJune8 (talk) 09:26, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I gave the rationale at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Formula_E_in_New_York_with_Liv_Tyler_2018. Be aware that the notability is not inheritable (see WP:INHERENT), so the movie's notability does not depend on the notability of its author or its subject. Vanjagenije (talk) 09:46, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And I won't give a fully detailed response, since I left one in Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Formula_E_in_New_York_with_Liv_Tyler_2018, but the gist of it is that while the provides a synopsis of the film, which is on YouTube and has an IMDb page the film in general, focuses on Liv Tyler's day at the 2018 New York City ePrix, which has been quite essentially covered in the sources. In other words, you can't just literally focuses solely on the film by name and not the entire coverage of the event. BornonJune8 (talk) 09:57, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Inherited notability? It is supposed to be the case on Wikipedia that people cannot inherit notability, so that you cannot deserve an article just because you have famous relatives. Is that really so? BornonJune8 (talk) 10:20, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No. You just need to click the link I provided above (WP:INHERENT) and read the corresponding page. Vanjagenije (talk) 10:47, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
We'll let's put it this way, what if a bulk of the information in that article was instead, used say in the article on the 2018 New York City ePrix? It's by extension, still about the event even if Liv Tyler is a central subject in the initial conversation. Wouldn't it not be so different than say covering on Wikipedia, the various events surrounding an individual Super Bowl? BornonJune8 (talk) 10:51, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Possible sock puppet: user Nachtjaeger2 ; sock master: user Nbanic

Hi, first I need to apologize if I made a mistake by contacting you, or should have done something else. I never have had to deal with a sock puppet so this is all new to me.

  1. User Nbanic (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is using a sock puppet or an alternative account.
  2. User Nbanic was blocked today for a 48 hour period because of edit-warring, breaking 3RR.
  3. The sock puppet is user Nachtjaeger2, a newly created profile, with only two contributions in a talk page discussion on Talk:Josip Broz Tito: [14] and [15].
  4. These two contributions were made in a talk page discussion that the "sock master" Nbanic was also involved in: Talk:Josip Broz Tito#Tito - Stalin
  5. These are the edits made by user Nbanic in the same discussion: [16], [17] and [18]
  6. The sock puppet account is used to make it look like user Nbanic has more support than they really have.
  7. Both usernames start with the letter "N"
  8. The sock puppet has the number "2" in its username indicating that it is a second/alternative account.

This all shows the linkage between the sock master and puppet. The last two are not evidence but - in Serbo-Croatian we call them "indicije" (I don't know the right word n English) - they should also be taken into account considering the case as a whole.

I would like to point out something more:

  1. The time when user Nbanic was blocked was 12:32, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
  2. I placed a comment in the same talk page discussion at 13:21, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
  3. The sock puppet account made his first edit on the same talk page discussion, very quickly after that, at 13:40, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
  4. On the same talk page today, I have made an edit at 07:17, 22 April 2020 (UTC) and user Nbanic made an edit, very quickly after that, at 07:33, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
  5. On the same talk page today, I have made an edit at 08:15, 22 April 2020 (UTC) and user Nbanic made an edit, very quickly after that, at 08:23, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
  6. On the same talk page today, I have made an edit at 08:30, 22 April 2020 (UTC) and user Nbanic made an edit, very quickly after that, at 08:36, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
  7. On the same talk page today, I have made an edit at 09:25, 22 April 2020 (UTC) and user Nbanic made an edit, very quickly after that, at 09:36, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
  8. On the same talk page today, I have made an edit at 09:57, 22 April 2020 (UTC) and user Nbanic made an edit, very quickly after that, at 10:02, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

These quick responses to my edits show the linkage between the sock master and puppet.

Also

  1. The edit summary made by the sock puppet Nachtjaeger2 on one of his two edits: (A clarification of the previous statement)
  2. is similar to edit summaries made by user Nbanic: (I made the link to look better.) (I added another explanation)

This also shows the linkage between the sock master and puppet.

Unfortunately I need to point out that I found myself in the same position as described on What is a sock puppet?, namely that this kind of behavior, past and present, by user Nbanic makes Wikipedia less enjoyable for me and is draining my energy. If I need to do something else or more please tell me. Thanks in advance --Tuvixer (talk) 18:13, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Tuvixer: Sockpuppet investigation are filled at WP:SPI. Please, go to that page and follow the instructions. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:21, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I have done as instructed. --Tuvixer (talk) 21:14, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Vanjagenije: today the possible sock puppet account has made more edits and two of them are in the same article- Josip Broz Tito - where the sock master account Nbanic broke the 3RR. This is a new development. Can I add this to my report or what should I do? --Tuvixer (talk) 13:10, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Possible new sock puppet 188.155.116.17 by the same user Nbanic

Hi, sorry to bother you again but now I really don't know what to do. It seems that user Nbanic is using a new sock puppet 188.155.116.17 . He has made an edit on the same article as before Josip Broz Tito: (Grammar fix), similar to the edits made by the blocked sock puppet Nachtjaeger2 (and subsequent => and the subsequent), (Removing "<>" added by error.) and (on factory workers => on the factory workers). The IP 188.155.116.17 edited the same material that was added by user Nbanic himself: [19]. It is obliviously user Nbanic again using a sock puppet. This is clearly now a misuse of multiple accounts. I can't find how to deal with this IP sock puppet. Can you please tell/instruct me what to do. Thanks in advance --Tuvixer (talk) 11:06, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vanja, can you please tell me why you reverted my edits to North Kosovo? Does Wikipedia not respect international law and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations according to the UN charter? It is for this reason that I changed the "country" to which North Kosovo belongs as Serbia and not the so called, partially recognised and most importantly not a UN member "Republic of Kosovo". I mean no insult, it is just frustrating that as a Serb, I see Wikipedia taking sides on the Kosovo conflict. Perhaps there can be two country components, one which refers to "according to Albania" and one "according to Serbia" which would therefore make the country of origin "Kosovo" and "Serbia" respectively? This way, Wikipedia would take a neutral stance and both sides such as myself and an Albanian poster/reader would be satisfied. Thanks, Darko Petrovic — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dare192 (talkcontribs) 03:12, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Dare192: First of all, accusing someone of bias and "taking sides" without evidence is considered a form of WP:personal attack and is not allowed here. Second, Wikipedia is not governed by the international law, and Wikipedia is not a member of the United Nations, so it is not bound by the UN charter. Wikipedia is governed by the WP:consensus of its users. Current consensus says that, the "country" parameter in the {{infobox settlement}} template should be "Kosovo". As an administrator, my role here is to ensure that consensus is implemented regardless of my opinion and/or sentiment. You are, of course, free to start discussion on the topic and try to reach new consensus. But, you are not free to attack administrators just because they are doing their job. Vanjagenije (talk) 09:33, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vanja, as per my previous comment I am merely asking a question as to why Kosovo is referred to as a country and hence why my post was modified. There was no attack on you here, just a discussion. "accusing someone of bias and "taking sides"" - Where did I accuse you? Evidence of this please. If anything I questioned Wikipedias manner of dealing with articles where an international conflict is in place such as the case in Kosovo. Secondly, answering my question in such an unprofessional manner and getting defensive when posed with constructive criticism isnt quite how a constructive discussion is run. ("Wikipedia is not a member of the UN" - usually large orgs. that mention anything political follow int'l rules such as UN charter - example being Google maps following int'l based on UN recognised boundaries) As I said, I meant no insult and you should perhaps not take such constructive criticism so personally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dare192 (talkcontribs) 02:42, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if anything, you have conducted a personal attack on me "Using someone's affiliations as an ad hominem means of dismissing or discrediting their views" - by me constructively wanting to discuss the issue of North Kosovo, you have dismissed my views and claimed a personal attack. Happy to discuss constructively. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dare192 (talkcontribs) 02:44, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Article titles for rivers in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus

Hi, about this... first wife, Jelena, a minor Serbian noblewoman, he had two children, King Stephen Uroš III and his second wife, Helena, daughter of sebastokratōr John I Doukas of Thessaly, he had no children. But Helena Doukaina Angelina is Jelena (Serbian: Jelena Duka Anđel); and It is possible that their sons were Kings Stefan Konstantin and Stefan Dečanski=Stephen Uroš III).

Mother of Stephen Uroš III is Jelena, a minor Serbian noblewoman and Helena Doukaina Angelina ?? (two mothers...)

The second wife of Stefan Milutin is an anonymous daughter of John I Doukas of Thessaly (sometimes confused with her sister named Hélène, and with the previous one).Terraflorin (talk) 05:07, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And Ana Terter is mother of Stefan Dečanski??? (three mothers...), there is clearly something wrong with the text...

As you've probably noticed, OyMosby is spite vandalizing a chain of articles that are only tangentially related to each other (probably trying to drive a point because of the Svetozar Boroevic dispute). In the process, the user has broken 3RR (and even 4RR), keeps launching personal attacks and shows no sign of stopping. Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk) 23:39, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I removed unsourced content while same time adding sourced content. I should have mentioned my removal of unsourced content you are right and I am sorry about that, but adding it back to prove a point is disruptive in it of itself.
