I have actually studied many people in parts of the world, and since 1999 I have happened upon these legends. I do not have any method at this time of actually obtaining any history, but I am working on it. I think that it is an interesting legend. Also, I didn't know wikipedia had a sandbox, thanks for letting me know, until I have history and references I'll work there. Thank you. P.S. I think that you are a good wikipedian, we should do research together. Elijah2005 28 (talk) 02:03, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Elijah

Hello Victao, Thanks for keeping me on my toes. Please feel free to remove my entry for reliefF as I need to gather more information and formating capability before it is satisfactory for wiipedia. thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jouler (talkcontribs) 00:38, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

BackupEarth

Hello Victao. I see our page in queued for deletion, is it queued because we have not completed the full article, and if so, can we post it again once completed. The page is to be used as information page for anyone interested in the development of Satellites, Space and so forth. But if this is not for Wikiedia, then we will take down the page immediately. Thank you for your time in the matter

Kind Regards

from Debbie Anne

I read you comments, and yes I am also sad it was deleted. I did, indeed, read the guidelines and policies, and so did a number of others. We feel we did nothing wrong and still believe so-- except tell our story... And we did have academic-based references (footnotes) for all of our claimed pulicity if you read carefully enough. All of this tells me is that Wiki and its members know very little about proper communications practice-- have any of you ever been responsible for global or large-scale PR messaging? NO. Like your comment about Coke and P&G articles not being ads or PR? Are you that blind? These are full blown ad stories that ANY experienced ad executive would instantly laugh at, and say they are INDEED pure ads (brand ads). How hypocritical...

In a way I am glad not be part of this group of amateurs, and prefer to continue to build our Foundation, and its good works, via the professional media that continue to send our message and hope to millions of others in the UK. It is very sad that by deleting our page, that many who need our help may not hear about us and what we do... even in Brazil.

Sincerely,

Debbie Anne —Preceding unsigned comment added by Debbieanne (talkcontribs) 19:25, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

I removed your speedy deletion tag from this page, since it contains an assertion of notability. If you still think that it should be deleted (and you may be right), please take it to PROD/AFD. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 21:37, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Anjos e Demônios

Hi Victao:

I've fixed now that part of the article, removing all confuse content, and replacing with a "logic" content. Thanks for tell me this, because I'm afraid to write an article and he'll send to speedy deletion. In the nexts articles I'll be more cautelous. (apesar de ser brasileiro, prefiro falar em inglês, pois essa é uma das melhores wikipédias a se trabalhar, e até acho melhor que a Wikipédia lusófona, não acha o mesmo?). I've a basic undestanding and write of english, so if I do somethnig wrong, don't forget to tell me! Cheers! :-) --Brunoy Anastasiya Seryozhenko (talk) 22:55, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

I agree with you, and, I add more to you comment: all articles of the portuguese Wikipedia insn't anymore than "bad translations" from the articles of the English wikipedia (hehehe, I saw a lot of this in Portuguese Wikipedia), and one more thing: in the finish we can to learn english (isn't good? is it?) :-) --Brunoy Anastasiya Seryozhenko (talk) 23:04, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Chicken Farm

There's no need to delete this article. The song never charted because they were an underground punk band on an independent label. Underground bands tend not to chart. The article simply explains what the song's about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Socaldagger (talkcontribs) 00:17, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Joefaust (talk) 16:22, 8 February 2008 (UTC) Victao, Hi!

Request your review of the cautions you placed on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-frame_for_hang_gliders,_trikes,_and_ultralights I do not understand yet the protocol on revisiting an article; do you have a schedule for revisiting articles that you have marked? Thanks for your time. Joe

Hi Victao, I am not sure how to communicate; the talk pages of mine or yours still feels odd to me as I am soooo e-mail oriented! I do not have confidence that you would read this note here. SURE, you are welcome to organize any page where I work; I thought that was the common wiki thing to do. Tweaking collaboratively seems the way to go. If the re-orgs lose something that is fundamentally important, then another round of editing. Aim: serve the reader/visitor... Joefaust (talk) 16:49, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Victao, I am wondering if the tone of your "The problem is that your article is very messy," is what you want. Could the same objective be obtained by say, phrasing a nudge in a positive manner? Perhaps:....""there is a ways to go before the article is polished to the standards I am hoping to see in Wikipedia; keep working on it, Joe, if you choose."". As it is, every day that I have a free and joyful contribution session with the article, I am faced with the stark negative tone of that first phrase; the phrase and tone tempts me simply to quit contributing to the article, which quitting I won't do. If you can see yourself editing your comment, that would be nice. Thank you for your time on this request. Joefaust (talk) 16:16, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Victao, you still have "notability" caution up on the A-frame article. Is there something that is missing on that point? In hang gliding, trikes, and ultralights that use the triangle control frame for its predominant fuselage part, there is hardly anything less notable than the wing and the pilot; the control frame is mentioned with focus by every maker and manufacturer; the TCF is central to life and death matters; the TCF is involved in every flight in an intimate matter. Hoards of articles in the last forty years include note on the TCF. Scores of patents involve notes on the TCF. Thank you for revisiting the notability caution. List of Congressional Members Investigating Roger Clemens Alleged Steroid Abuse

Sir, I understand you (and you are not alone) claim that this page demonstrates no content other than a brief explanation, the time period of operation, and a list of the members involved (all of whom are linked through wikipedia).

You have addressed me politely, and for this I thank and applaud you.

My disagreement stems from the intent of the article to begin with. It is, at heart, merely a list of the membership. The argument that the list provides no content is difficult for me to accept because as I see it the list is the only necessary content. Other lists have succeeded in surviving on wikipedia, so I am asking if there is some sort of list-qualification that I should examine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TaylorMinor (talkcontribs) 22:47, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Haha, sorry about leaving that unsigned. Me again! Anyway, thanks for your advice. I'll get on that.talk —Preceding comment was added at 01:03, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

I declined the speedy delete request (for lack of content) because I noticed it was added only 2 minutes after the article was first created, which may not have given the author enough time to add any significant content. If it remains in an empty state after a day or so, it can be deleted then. Best, --Shirahadasha (talk) 23:33, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Very likely a non-notable article on other grounds, but FYI A7 was recently narrowed to refer only to a person, organization, or group, so a product is outside its scope. Best, --Shirahadasha (talk) 23:41, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

PROD sounds good. You can always do AFD. It's borderline advertising but it doesn't seem to be too blatant. Best, --Shirahadasha (talk) 05:34, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Nicole Wray's fourth studio album

why do you consider it to be deleted. I followed all the rules. This isn't the same page as before. The article has no need for competition of deletion. please erase the sign, if not then tell me on the my talk why you think it should be deleted. and tell me all the errors. Nicolefan (talk) 21:48, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

you did not explain why you wanted the article deleted. please explain in either my talk page or the album's talk page. Nicolefan (talk) 22:04, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Nicole Wray discography and template

why do continue to revert the these pages back. You can't say it hasn't been sourced either. Nicolefan (talk) 01:10, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Racing Engineering Delete

I simply don't understand why should be deleted, the page was in construction i was collecting the results and the history.

I just want to say that the page was created again and i think that this time have the enough matterial to NOT BE DELETED. -- cdelpi (talk) 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. I removed the SoP logo because it was fair use. Fair use images should be avoided if free images can be found. I think that the image of the band is representative enough for the band than the logo (if not even more representative) and as such in my opinion the logo does not add extra value to the article to justify its use. Regards -- Bryan (talk|commons) 22:11, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

There is already a free image of all the band's members on the page :) -- Bryan (talk|commons) 19:55, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Category:Films set in San Fernando Valley

My mistake. Intended to create Category:Films set in San Fernando Valley. Please proceed to delete article of same name.Cbl62 (talk) 22:34, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about not signing the statement, I was just so taken back with the audacity of requesting a speedy delete while I was in the middle of creating an article. If you check my history I'm very diligent in taking credit for everything I write and say. And thanks very much for recognizing the article for what it is and removing the speedy delete so quickly. Thanks, --HJKeats (talk) 00:11, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Your userpage

No problem. Probably didn't show up as the watchlist is essentially a selected display of Special:Recentchanges, and page moves (which this was) don't show up in recent changes. Hope that clarifies it! The public face of GBT/C 12:56, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey, my article was deleted due to lack of evidence of notability.

Formosa, Goiás

Dear Victão, I saw that you had visited the page of Formosa, Goiás. Although I appreciate your input I don't think it is wise to include gigantic templates and write the word "crap" for all the world to see. I wonder if Wikipedia rules allow that. A lot of the information in that article is from my own website, now extinct, about Formosa, and is based on my own living experience there (18 years from 1973 until 1991) and research made online and in publications that I brought from Brazil when I moved here to Portugal. Although much in that article might be consider "point of view" I don't agree that it is "crap". But then you have the right to your point of view. I do agree that almost everything written in Portuguese about the municipalities (excluding the large and famous ones) in Brazil is not Wikipedia quality. But then, what is Wikipedia quality?
