Hi, could you provide an example of where a bot used this in an edit-summary? John Vandenberg (chat) 12:40, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

See [1] for an example (piped as File renaming criterion #1). I think the bug is now fixed, and edit sumamries now link to Commons, but short of inventing a way of editing old summaries, I don't see any alternative which avoids redlinks in the summaries. Thanks. Much appreciated. John Vandenberg (chat) 13:18, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Some TFA birthday cake for you

Mmmm - Tasty :-) I added the reference to WP:TFAO (which I created as a new shortcut). Optimist on the run (talk) 22:37, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Incidental edits

I just now I saw your April 10 edits in module:RailGauge/data: [2]. They surprised me, because it looks more like a sandbox trial (while the module has 13,000 transclusions; such edits load the job queu unnecessary), and it was not talked or asked on the talkpage. Given that it took admin rights to do so added to the surprise: I may suppose that you know why protection is there. Next time, please come to the table. -DePiep (talk) 02:38, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Talyllyn Railway

Hi, you added this article to Wikipedia:Selected anniversaries/July 5, but it's already featured on Wikipedia:Selected anniversaries/May 14 and per the rules, it can only appear once a year. Which day you think is better? I think July 5 is a better choice myself. howcheng {chat} 07:02, 4 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - didn't know about the once a year rule. Agreed that 5 July is better, but don't put it in for tomorrow. I need to check the validity of the claim (although it's sourced in the article, it may be dubious). Next year will be the 150th anniversary; I'll come up with a better hook by then. Disambiguation link notification for August 4

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2014 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lulu. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Fixed. Optimist on the run (talk) 11:37, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Linking countries

I've reverted your unlinking of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland in the Tiefencastel derailment article. This is because the UKGBI is not the same as the United Kingdom. Apart from when linked by flags, I tend not to link to large modern countries in articles. I do link to historic countries. Mjroots (talk) 17:59, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies - I hadn't spotted that it was a different link to the usual. Optimist on the run (talk) 19:38, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, just though I ought to clarify. Mjroots (talk) 20:17, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wilbert Awdry

Sorry for not explaining myself on my Wilbert Awdry edit. I was going by the overcategorization guideline, and not categorizing Awdry as a subtopic of his works. It should probably be like Category:George Lucas, which contains Category:Star Wars as a subcategory, not vice versa. Trivialist (talk) 18:37, 17 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

Hi why did you delete the page an insignificant harvey? It is a full length feature film (93 minutes) [1][2] and it meets the guidelines for a notable film, as it was reviewed by most major publications [3]and also released on TV, in theatres, and online internationally? Please let us know what other information you might need? --Vitality Media (talk) 18:25, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Sapok: It was deleted as an uncontested WP:PROD. I see it has been restored. Optimist on the run (talk) 21:55, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
