It was partly an wrong edit on my part. The bit about Red Bull Air Race having no trophies/awards would be notable if it had a citation. The bit about users recording their times on a forum isn't. - X201 (talk) 09:16, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Brütal Legend

"ü" IS a alpha numeric character and is allowed. There are plenty of articles that have accented characters like "ü", "ö" (such as Motörhead), "é", etc. Just because you don't like accented letters is not reason to move an article to a incorrect name. TJ Spyke 23:51, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Me liking it or not has nothing to do with it (I'm not bothered by it in the slightest if you must know). My reason for removing it is my desire to see any articles connected to Tim Schafer reach the highest standard possible on WP. Therefore I removed the umlauts and moved the article so that the article met the standards decided upon by other Wikipedia editors. My reason for doing this was to give the article the correct foundations so that it would become a Good Article and Hopefully a Featured Article with the minimum of problems. - X201 (talk) 09:24, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

PS Store Icons/Badges

Hi. I noticed you replaced the image on Flower with the badge/icon thing from the PlayStation Store. I assume you got that one from the PS Blog but do you know of anywhere else where you can get these in a decent resolution? There are several other articles which would be better with those icons. No problem. There are a couple of things in njo's list that I am unsure of/mildly disagree with, but on the whole, the article will be better at the end of the peer review. - X201 (talk) 12:42, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
I think one of the major problems is going to be with the sources. A lot of them are not considered reliable. Sites like TheSixthAxis I know to be reliable but it might be tricky to put together a case for it. I have submitted it to WP:VG/RS's talk page but no response yet. Thesixthaxis ref has Threespeech as the primary source and is also available on Gamesindustry.biz, which is on the OK sources list. As for others, it'll be trawl the net time, to find reliable sites with the same story. - X201 (talk) 14:57, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

RE:VG portal

Yeah, it can get troublesome sometimes. Ones we normally use are free pictures of company headquarters, stores, people, consoles, other hardware, and, if in a real bind, countries. I think some Ubisoft screen shots have been used before too, but very rarely. Sometimes you get lucky, and you get to use really interesting pics, like Dante Alighieri.

Just a quick note, try to make sure the same picture is not on Portal:Video games/Picture. It's ok if it is, just looks a little weird having the same image in two places on the portal.

Cats: PlayStation 3 games/PlayStation 3 Network games

Hi. I notice you undid a revision by 24.143.226.138 and restored the PlayStation 3 games category to Snakeball. I noticed that this user removed the category from A LOT of articles a couple of days ago. I reverted one but wasn't sure if I was correct. Do you know whether PSN games should have this cat or not or should they just have the PS3 Network one? I think they should have both but I was unsure. Its always been the case with WP:SUBCAT & the "Duplicate Categorization Rule" (aka Secondary Categorization Rule) that if a user would expect to find something in a category that is filled with similar articles then the article should be in both categories. Or in plain English... in a category full of PS3 games would a user expect to find PS3 games? Yes, because the grouping criteria is that they are PS3 games regardless of any other criteria. The same user would expect to find only PSN games in the PSN category but does a game stop being a PS3 game just because its a PSN game? obviously not, so it should be in both categories.
Sorry it sounded like a lecture. In short games should be in both cats. If the top category was games by distribution method then it would be different, but its not. - X201 (talk) 14:45, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

You deleted my contribs to the 360 accessories

There was no advertising on the content posted. That wikipedia page CLEARLY defines it is for First and Third party accessories. The Grip-It is exactly that, an accessory. The Xbox 360 game console, developed by Microsoft, features a number of first-party and third-party accessories. We have every right to post the new item.

I see you are a part of the Wikipedia Games project, but you have no business editing my content on the 360 accessories page, accessories are not games. Wikipedia is a conglomeration of user-added content... Flagicon

Nice job cleaning up flagicons. Just a suggestion, flagicon=USA should probably be replaced with vgrelease|NA= (for North America). –xenotalk 13:05, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Its only the last week or so that I've switched to USA instead of NA= Part of my thinking was that dates with refs on them could actually be pointing to US dates and that the Canadian date, even though not present, could be different. I'm now thinking of switching back to a blanket NA, Europe gets grouped together so NA shouldn't be a problem for the US and Canada. - X201 (talk) 13:34, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
It's rare for release dates to be different (and if was notable, Canada would probably already be in the infobox, right?). I would say, just go with North America as a default. –xenotalk 13:37, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
I'll switch to NA. I'm about halfway through this first run through. I'll have to do a second one because of the numerous different coding variations for the country names that I've found along the way. You should try using regex's to account for different wordings. I've been using regex more and more with AWB and it's a huge timesaver. –xenotalk 17:17, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

U/C

In video games, U/C is the official representation of North America. It simply means United States/Canada. Because the ISO code NA means something else. Just about every console video game released to the entire North American continent says U/C right on the cover next to NTSC. If a game were only released to the United States it would say US, if only Canada it would say CA.  æronphonehome  15:10, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Edge query

About game receptions and review scores table.

Hi there. I'm working for Turkey section of Tom's Hardware Guide. I'm mainly gaming editor at the moment and i would like to add our review scores and receptions to the related games on Turkish and English sections of Wikipedia. But it seems this need a special code for the reception table. Because Tom's Hardware is not on the code list for this table. Look at this one for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirt_2
