Nomination of List of Asilidae species: D-L for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of Asilidae species: D-L is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ List of Asilidae species: D-L until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Reply - I want to clarify the terms of the ban. I am prohibited from creating or editing any main space page that begins with the characters "Template:" until 11:53 (UTC) on November 27, 2013 (180 days from today). Administrators have moved deleted navboxes into my userspace, which I do not intend to keep there indefinitely, but intend to move to main space on or after November 28, 2013 if it makes sense to do so. I will assume that this ban does not apply to my participation in any "for deletion" or "for discussion" (XfD) forums such as WP:AfD nor WP:TFD. Based on my reading, I would assume that - barring any such participation becoming disruptive in and of itself - participation at XfD related to templates would be permitted. Nominating would require an edit, and is therefore not permitted. I have added the issues related to XfD`s to the restriction. Note: the 6 months is calendar months, as per the limit noted on WP:RESTRICT (✉→BWilkins←✎) 15:00, 31 May 2013 (UTC)- Reply - Is it legal to add the XfD restriction after the fact? - It is entirely "legal" to add it after the fact as it was part of the agreement from the community and it was just overlooked in Bwilkins. Stop Wikilawyering yourself into more trouble. Yes, XfD is all X for deletion/discussion forums in my mind. Finally, my interpretation of "Templates" includes everything in "Template:" as well as everything that is transcluded from "User:" and "Wikipedia:" or anywhere else really... - The terms are explicit - it's merely you who are trying to find the loopholes, so I can understand why you feel like you're walking on eggshells. You even defined the two terms "broadly" and "construed" somewhere, so you obviously understood the terms. - The terms are explicit - it's merely you who are trying to find the loopholes, so I can understand why you feel like you're walking on eggshells. To be honest, I feel that am walking on eggshells, and I am afraid of violating the terms of my ban through even a small mistake, one of which is "You may not edit templates, discuss templates". My intention is not to refuse to help, my intention is to fully comply with the ban. I should have instead asked your permission to provide the links. - Reply - As I stated before, I am trying hard to fully honor the obligations of my ban while acting in a civilized manner. Because the closing administrator allowed me to respond to the query, I am providing article locations herein for templates of Thal and Sanders. My ban to which I have for the most part complied, is for six months, and that's all.
