Navbox help

The Road & the Rodeo

The Road & the Rodeo doesn't seem to meet WP:NALBUMS. Per the sources you put in the article:

This source is more about Watson himself and only dedicates one sentence to the album.

This source was self-published by a radio station and is not a reliable source.

This source is paywalled so I can't tell if it even mentions the album at all. But the title suggests that it's more about him than about the album.

The Artist Direct link is also broken and redirects to the home page.

I have been topic-banned from AFD for the time being, so I am not allowed to take it to AFD. While the album did chart, there is nothing out there on the album other than Roughstock's review. Hell, I can't even find a producer credit for it, it's that obscure.

That said, I have a compromise in mind. What would you think of moving the discography to Aaron Watson discography and, for every album prior to Real Good Time, putting the tracklistings in the table like I've done below? Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 23:15, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

  • Reply - @TenPoundHammer:, one sentence is enough. A radio station can be a reliable source. The abqjournal tells under which label the album was released. The Artist Direct link worked at the time it was created. The roughstock review is substantive. The allmusic review is substantive. I am reverting your change, which you should not have done per WP:BRD. If the article should not remain, then someone else will take it to AFD. Redirecting the article twice could be perceived as a way of skirting around {{speedy}}, {{PROD}} or AFD.   • I cleaned it up with the sources from Roughstock and Allmusic. A radio station is not a reliable source since the page in question was published by the station's own DJs; see WP:SPS. Problems with a page I edited

Hello

I used to work for the Clive Lewis on the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clive_Lewis_(business_psychologist) and I set up the page for him. I have not been an editor on Wikipedia before so was not familiar with the conflict of interest rules - I of course understand completely and even in my unawareness of the rules, endeavoured to make the page as objective as possible.

Nonetheless, there is a message on the page now that shows there are problems with NPOV (which I have just read up on). My former employer has reached back to me to find out if anything can be done about this. My gut is no, but if there is anything that can be done - can someone else fact check and edit the article perhaps? - please do let me know.

I do not want to do anything else that is contrary to Wikipedia's rules, I totally respect the reasoning behind them, and I'm not particularly interested in being an editor in the future. I would just like to have a concrete answer.

Sorry, I went kind of overboard there. Labels never need citations, I've said that before. Still, good call on bringing the discography to attention, since it did contain a lot of questionable content (the "Canadian Jazz" chart doesn't seem to actually exist, and I got no google hits for some of the songs she supposedly released). If only one part of an article lacking sources, such as Jamie Lee Curtis, please use {{refimprove-section}} or {{unreferenced-section}} on just that section. Don't put a {{refimprove}} all the way at the top. Because you put it at the top, I scrolled almost all the way down and didn't see anything that was lacking in sources. Also, filmographies are usually summaries of content that is verified in other articles, so they don't need super extensive citations. Also, the album is only two days away from release. If the release date is less than a week away, then give it a chance to build up the notability (see WP:CHANCE). Album and song project template shortcuts

Please look at all these fabulous uses of shortcuts available for WikiProject Albums and WikiProject Songs project tagging, and not a one creates a nonsensical, never-before-existing term for albums or songs. They actually all use the letters needed to spell ALBUM or to spell SONG. 4-letter and 5-letter words do not need further abbreviating to one-less-letter shortcuts that don't even make sense. It's not like the benefit of using Template:WPALT (although I'm sure even this is way too long for you but at least is logical) for {{WikiProject Alternative music}}. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 22:45, 13 November 2018 (UTC)

If only one section is lacking in sources, as is the case on Thompson Square, don't put the {{+R}} at the top of the article. The [citation needed] tag you have in the awards section is sufficient, if no other part of the article lacks sources. But if you feel another tag is worthwhile there, please use {{refimprove-section}} on just the section(s) that you think need more sources. The message that I wrote was in reference to an uncivil message, and it is not right to remove constructive messages from the pages of other users. There was no reason to place that template whatsoever, and certainly no reason to restore it. You continue to show poor judgment in edit warring to restore the post after it was, again, removed by another admin. The bottom line is that the comment in question was in no way uncivil, although it was very frank. An editor was disrupting Wikipedia on multiple pages and I felt I needed to get their attention quickly.
