Commenting about your AfD history and that you didn't do research before putting up a certain nomination is hardly harassment; I would expect my nominations and vote!s to go under the same scrutiny and expect the same responses. Was The Wizard of Oz a box office bomb?

The Wizard of Oz didn't turn a profit until a re-release in 1949. The shooting and promotional budget at the time was MGM’s highest ever, nearly 3 million dollars, a pittance when compared to today’s costs. But remember in 1939, the average ticket price was less than .25¢. Ten years later it was less than .40¢. Today’s movie ticket costs 20X what it did in 1939, and the cost of making making them, even greater. In 1939, the only other diversion to going to the movies, was reading or listening to the radio. Only New York had live performances (theater, bars and night clubs, sports) as other form of competitive entertainment dollars. We were still in the midst of emerging from the decade old Depression. So that I think it’s fairly clear that it initially bombed, so that’s a reasonable definition. It was ahead of its time, and it didn’t actually make money until a decade after its release BornonJune8 (talk) 12:20, 15 August 2018 (UTC)

K14RB-D

Question for you — I see the LTC granted to K16HY-D on August 9th for the move to channel 14, and it's entirely logical that should have resulted in a call sign change given the way translators are named. But the FCC doesn't show any call sign change for that license, nor do Recnet or Rabbit Ears (logically, since they're fed off the FCC data). So I'm wondering what your source for the new call sign was? To clarify, not doubting you, but wherever you're picking that up from could end up being a useful source for me too, so I'm super curious. Thx. Mlaffs (talk) 23:52, 18 August 2018 (UTC)

		Hello Mrschimpf, Early in A Child's Christmas in Wales the young Dylan and his friend Jim Prothero witness smoke pouring from Jim's home. After the conflagration has been extinguished Dylan writes that Nobody could have had a noisier Christmas Eve. And when the firemen turned off the hose and were standing in the wet, smoky room, Jim's Aunt, Miss. Prothero, came downstairs and peered in at them. Jim and I waited, very quietly, to hear what she would say to them. She said the right thing, always. She looked at the three tall firemen in their shining helmets, standing among the smoke and cinders and dissolving snowballs, and she said, "Would you like anything to read?" I have a question to ask - the article The Saturday Show (BBC TV series) has multiple sections based on the show's history, which appear to mostly be original research. I was going to remove the sections, but I noticed that the "2002 to 2004" section has a source in it.
