FLCs needing revisits

Flyers list needs a final look. Dabomb87 (talk) 21:51, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Now that TRM's concerns have been resolved, you may want to look again at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Sri Lankan Test cricket records/archive1. Dabomb87 (talk) 03:28, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

I've adressed all of your comments on the fac page 166.137.136.205 (talk) 15:54, 8 April 2010 (UTC) (cyclonebiskit via phone)

Hi Giants2008! Comments replied on Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Rio de Janeiro bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics/archive1. Thank you; Felipe Menegaz 22:13, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

!Barnstar

Just noticed that I'd not neglected to not notice that I hadn't not sent you a not !Barnstar lately for the contributions you make at WP:FLC. [end of sillyness] Your contributions are invaluable and I truly hope you can continue to be part of the FLC process. It wouldn't work without folks like you, and folks like you are few and far between. Many, many thanks for your commitment, stamina and contributions. If at all possible, keep up the great work. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:34, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Seconded. Dabomb87 (talk) 21:16, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Delegate request

I've got yet another request to make: can you close Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of accolades received by Precious/archive1? Both TRM and I have supported. Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 21:33, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Another one you'll have to close: Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Vladimir Horowitz discography/archive2. Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 22:02, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
And one more: Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of North Carolina hurricanes (2000–present)/archive2. Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 03:58, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

I replied to your comments.--WillC 06:39, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

I've followed up on each of your comments in the FA review. Please go ahead and strike them if you are satisfied with how they've been addressed. Thanks for your help reviewing the article. --SkotyWATC 02:43, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

WikiCup 2010 April newsletter

Round two is over, and we are down to our final 32. For anyone interested in the final standings (though not arranged by group) this page has been compiled. Congratulations to Pennsylvania Hunter Kahn (submissions), our clear overall round winner, and to Colombia ThinkBlue (submissions) and Norway Arsenikk (submissions), who were solidly second and third respectively. There were a good number of high scorers this round- competition was certainly tough! Round three begins tomorrow, but anything promoted after the end of round two is eligible for points. 16 contestants (eight pool leaders and eight wildcards) will progress to round four in two months- things are really starting to get competitive. Anything you worry may not receive the necessary attention before the end of the round (such as outstanding GA or FA nominations) is welcome at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews, and please remember to continue offering reviews yourself where possible. As always, the judges are available to contact via email, IRC or their talk pages, and general discussion about the Cup is welcome on the WikiCup talk page.

Judge iMatthew has retired from Wikipedia, and we wish him the best. The competition has been ticking over well with minimal need for judge intervention, so thank you to everyone making that possible. A special thank you goes to participants Bavaria Stone (submissions) and White Shadows (submissions) for their help in preparing for round three. Good luck everyone! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Softball FLC

Giants, can I get you to come back to Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Olympic medalists in softball/archive1 before I'm out of range for a week starting Friday? Thanks, and sorry to bug you. Bradjamesbrown (talk) 20:36, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Replace the page with the following code to fix Wikipedia:Nominations Viewer:

importScript("User:GregU/dashes.js");
importScript('User:Dr pda/persondata.js'); //[[User:Dr pda/persondata.js]];

importScript('User:Gary King/nominations viewer.js'); // [[Wikipedia:Nominations Viewer]];
NominationsViewer.changeLayout = false;
NominationsViewer.enabledPages =
[
	'Wikipedia:Featured article candidates',
	'Wikipedia:Featured article review',
	'Wikipedia:Featured list candidates',
	'Wikipedia:Featured list removal candidates',
];
NominationsViewer.nomData =
[
	'age', // Age of nomination
	'nominators', // Number of nominators for nomination
	'participants', // Number of participants in nomination
	'votes', // Number of supports and opposes for nomination
];

Gary King (talk) 00:32, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, it shouldn't have worked before, which is why I gave the code above, which should have worked. I tested your vector.js by copying it to my test account, and Nominations Viewer works, so the problem is probably related to your setup (i.e. your browser, operating system, etc.) The script should work in all major browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera), but I'm not so sure about Internet Explorer. That one's always a bit iffy. Gary King (talk) 22:01, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Okay. I just added it as a kind of footnote to the page, as I'll need to check other versions of IE to see which ones it does and does not work in. Most scripts, especially the major ones, don't work in IE (like Twinkle), since IE treats source code differently from other browsers, which is a shame. Gary King (talk) 01:30, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Gliding

Thank you for offering to review the gliding article yet again. Rather than 'tag bombing' would you copy the whole article with the tags required and e-mail it? I have just enabled e-mail in my user preferences. Incidentally I have fixed one of the instances of exposed code but I could not see a problem with reference 55. JMcC (talk) 08:12, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Your suggestion makes more sense than mine. I have created User:Jmcc150/gliding for you to paste in a copy with annotations. Thank you for taking so much time over this. JMcC (talk) 18:32, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for tagging it. It will get updated in the next day or so. Most of the gaps are easy to plug, though a couple of minor points, eg the dry lake beds that someone added, may just be best solved by zapping the sentence. JMcC (talk) 16:25, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Featured list candidate comments

A little while back you left comments on Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Basketball Coach of the Year/archive1. We've revised your concerns and I was wondering if you could re-examine the article and either raise more concerns or give it your stamp of approval for FL status. Thanks. WikiCup 2010 May newsletter

We are half way through round 3, with a little under a month to go. The current overall leader is Hungary Sasata (submissions), who has 570 points. He leads pool C. Pools A, B and D are led by Pennsylvania Hunter Kahn (submissions), Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) and White Shadows (submissions) respectively.

Two of last year's final 8, Sweden Theleftorium (submissions) and Iceland Scorpion0422 (submissions), have dropped out of the competition, saying they would rather their place went to someone who will have more time on their hands than them next round. On a related note, a special thank you goes to White Shadows (submissions) for his help behind the scenes once again. There is currently a problem with the poster, perhaps caused by the new skin- take a look at this discussion and see if you can help. The competition has continued to tick over well with minimal need for judge intervention, so thank you to everyone making that possible. Good luck to all! Imperial Triple Crown

Your majesty, it gives me great pleasure to bestow these Imperial triple crown jewels upon Giants2008 for hitting some home runs on some baseball articles in the areas of WP:DYK, WP:GA, and WP:FC. Well done, Casliber (talk · contribs) 00:29, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

valcour island fac

Thank you for your comments at the FAC of Battle of Valcour Island. I'd appreciate it if you could revisit your concerns (and support if you deem the article to meet the standards). Thanks! Magic♪piano 16:39, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Hello, I incorporated most of your suggestions into the List of Nintendo 64 games, and removed most of the links you had a question about their reliability, with the exception of the GameFAQs which is used on nearly all the 'Featured List of' videogame pages. I asked Dabomb87 about this and was asked to show how they fact checked the information, which I provided on the Wikipedia:Featured list removal candidates/List of Nintendo 64 games/archive1. Dabomb87's view has been changed to a 'weak keep' and wanted to wait for you to re-evaluate the list of before changing it to 'fully supporting a keep'. (Floppydog66 (talk) 08:47, 4 June 2010 (UTC))

I updated the 'List of' and removed the GameFAQs list by Thiago Simoes, I think that was still your only objection, I hope you'll take another look at it and let me know, sorry about the wait I get on Wikipedia about every three days. (Floppydog66 (talk) 07:14, 12 June 2010 (UTC))
Thanks for the new suggestions, all of them seem to be incorporated now. I found these two pages that mention who is behind "Game Classification.com" [1] and [2] these links also show other publications which were released by these sources. (Floppydog66 (talk) 07:50, 16 June 2010 (UTC))

Hello. I know you have reviewed cricket FACs in the past and I was wondering if you could have a quick look at this one. Any comments would be appreciated if you have time. Thanks. --Sarastro1 (talk) 10:27, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the comments so far. I've responded on the review page. --Sarastro1 (talk) 19:59, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

FLC review urgent

Hi! Since you are familiar with reviewing Lists of National Treasures of Japan, I thought you could help out with the following... List of National Treasures of Japan (archaeological materials) is presently a featured list candidate and marked as Nominations urgently needing reviews which means that it is in danger of failing the nomination due to a lack of reviews. I'd be happy, if you could have a look at the list and leave comments, questions or suggestions at the nomination page. The criteria to be checked against are found here. Thanks. bamse (talk) 14:24, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Hey Giants. Took your advice, mostly, restarted this nomination as it was really becoming too much. I'd appreciate it if you could get back there sometime to weigh in with an opinion. All the best. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:02, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the only review! :D I appreciate it, all your comments have been addressed.--Truco 503 22:55, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Hello. You commented on a FLC. In the meantime the FLC was restarted due to lack of reviewers, and it currently has two supports. WikiCup 2010 June newsletter

We're half way through 2010, and the end of the WikiCup is in sight! Round 3 is over, and we're down to our final 16. Our pool winners were Ian Rose (submissions) (A), Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) (B, and the round's overall leader), Colombia ThinkBlue (submissions) (C) New South Wales Casliber (submissions) and New Orleans TonyTheTiger (submissions) (D, joint), but, with the scores reset, everything is to play for in our last pooled round. The pools will be up before midnight tonight, and have been selected randomly by J Milburn. This will be the toughest round yet, and so, as ever, anything you worry may not receive the necessary attention before the end of the round (such as outstanding GA or FA nominations) is welcome at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews, and please remember to continue offering reviews yourself where possible. As always, the judges are available to contact via email, IRC or their talk pages, and general discussion about the Cup is welcome on the WikiCup talk page.

Though unaffiliated with the WikiCup, July sees the third Great Wikipedia Dramaout- a project with not dissimilar goals to the WikiCup. Everyone is welcome to take part and do their bit to contribute to the encyclopedia itself.

If you're interested in the scores for the last round of the Cup, please take a look at Wikipedia:WikiCup/History/2010/Round 3 and Wikipedia:WikiCup/History/2010/Full/Round 3. Our thanks go to Bavaria Stone (submissions) for compiling these. As was predicted, Group C ended up the "Group of Death", with 670 points required for second place, and, therefore, automatic promotion. This round will probably be even tougher- again, the top two from each of the two groups will make it through, while the twelve remaining participants will compete for four wildcard places- good luck everyone! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. J Milburn, Fox and The ed17

Your May 18th correction to Se Ri Pak

Was incorrect. Four LPGA golfers, Pak, A. Sorenstam, M. Wright, and K. Whitworth, have won the same LPGA tournament five times. I know the USA Today article cites only Wright, Sorenstam, and Pak but it is incorrect.

The LPGA, after I contacted them in early 2010, corrected their all-time record books to credit Whitworth with five wins at the Orange Blossom Classic a LPGA tournament that used to be played in St. Petersburg Florida. Go check page 3 of the LPGA record book below

http://lpga.com/content/Alltimerecords.pdf

Also check this 1974 News article which I made part of Whitworth's wikipedia entry. It also cites she won the Orange Blossom Classic five times.

http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=Se0gAAAAIBAJ&sjid=CnIFAAAAIBAJ&pg=1072,359591&dq=kathy+whitworth+orange+blossom+classic&hl=en

I'm a golf states buff and was the first non mainstream media blogger to be credentialed by the LPGA to cover a tournament. Something I've done twice in fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WilliamJE (talkcontribs) 16:21, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
