Sorry I didn't notice your edits there before, but if something involves specific colors, then it would appear to belong more on the LGBT symbols article than on the Gender symbol article... AnonMoos (talk) 17:59, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Category:LGBT academics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Nymf talk to me 19:22, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

la manif pour tous[edit]

Whatever are your opinions about this law or it supporters and its opponents, a fact is that there was both supporters and opponents. Everybody knows which organisations supported this law, but it is not out of interest to know which organisation(s) was against.

There are articles in Le Monde about «la manif pour tous».

This is why this paragraph should be added:

Opposition is promoted by lamanifpourtous.fr a web site promoted by Virginie Tellenne alias Frigide Barjot, the humorist leading of the lamanifpourtous social movement. This website is the main reseller for all derived products labeled "La Manif Pour Tous" including flags and clothes. Thoses products can be bought in theboutique at boutique.lamanifpourtous.fr . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.100.0.236 (talk) 11:15, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The promotion of the website is unnecessary. Also, the anti-marriage/adoption organizations are well-mentioned in the article already, including Operation VITA and Manif Pour Tous. --RayneVanDunem (talk) 17:36, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Template:LGBT in Japan[edit]

Yaoi has nothing to do with LGBT. Yaoi is culture of the heterosexuals. It is inappropriate to write in Template:LGBT in Japan.--182.171.36.243 (talk) 14:57, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

How so? Please clarify. It displays homosexuality and same-sex relationships, which falls under LGBT. The characteristics of the audience which consumes it doesn't sound relevant. --RayneVanDunem (talk) 22:19, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yaoi was produced in Japan of the 1970s by a heterosexually oriented woman. It is Mori Mari first to have written. Yaoi is culture of the heterosexuals. Most of gay men do not read Yaoi. It has nothing to do with the culture of LGBT.--182.171.36.243 (talk) 10:24, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
And PFLAG was set up in the US by a heterosexual woman; Still has pretty much a lot to do with LGBT people (worldwide). Yaoi, similarly, may not (disputably) have as big an audience among gay males as it does among heterosexual people in Japan, but it depicts gay men and gay relationships, period. That's a historical media precedent of LGBT portrayal in Japanese culture, just like yuri, bara and other genres. Plus, I dispute your assertion because you have no current proof that yaoi is mostly culturally heterosexual, or that it mostly reflects heterosexual sensibilities, or that most gay men in Japan don't read it (has that even been surveyed/polled?). Please provide. --RayneVanDunem (talk) 16:39, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Gay and Lesbian Coalition of Kenya, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of 19th Grand National Assembly of Turkey[edit]

The article 19th Grand National Assembly of Turkey has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced, unable to verify any claims here

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Vickers VC10[edit]

Dear, your recent addition to Vickers VC10, was, to say the least, less than universally approved. As an at least reasonably experienced contributor, you ought to know that references are required, yet you offered none. On top of that, there were reserves about the relevance of your information. I tried my best to defend your work but you really should offer some reference, or withdraw your addition. Jan olieslagers (talk) 17:23, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why you're chastising me over that sentence (since that info was already mentioned in the linked article on the poet), but a simple request for a reference would suffice. --RayneVanDunem (talk) 17:37, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it has been removed again and they managed to utterly demotivate me so it is up to yourself if you really want it back there - good luck! But I did not mean to chastise you, not by a long way - I was merely trying to help. No use, obviously, with neither party. Bye bye! Jan olieslagers (talk) 19:19, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sharon E. Watkins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Thank you for creating the template for Mayors of San Antonio, Texas. What a tremendous amount of work went into it. A few comments.

 • Texas was never called "Colonial Texas". I'm not sure where you got the dates for that one, but Template:Texas History is a good guideline for you.
 • It would be appropriate to wikilink French Texas, Spanish Texas, Mexican Texas and Republic of Texas on the template.
 • I found it a bit confusing that you repeated named in the template if they served more than one term as mayor. As a rule, you only need to have their name there once in the template for any subgroup, even if the multiple terms were non consecutive. That cuts down on the confusion, and an editor wanting to create an article has a whole lot less to look through.

Again, thanks for creating the template. — Maile (talk) 20:28, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I redirected the article to Islam in India,[1] and it was reverted by you without providing a reason. Can you tell why? Capitals00 (talk) 11:24, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Too much information to merge back into Islam in India. Also, distinctive information and references on the sects' manifestations in India which may not be reflected or presented with clarity in a general article. I'd rather not have an extremely long article on Islam in India if it can be afforded. --RayneVanDunem (talk) 01:41, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Domestic partnership in California into Timeline of same-sex marriage. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from page name; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted copied template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 16:52, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for December 20[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Timeline of African and diasporic LGBT history, you added a link pointing the o the disambiguation page Kabaka (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Tempate:Democratic Alliance (South Africa). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Template:Democratic Alliance (South Africa). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Template:Democratic Alliance (South Africa). If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions.

I guess this article was a first attempt as I see you also created Template:Democratic Alliance (South Africa). If you make a typo in an article heading you can resolve it by going to the ‘More’ tab at the top of the article. Hit that and it brings up a ‘Move’ option. You can just type in the corrected name, and the reason for the move, and the article you’ve created will automatically be moved to the corrected name.Mccapra (talk) 00:33, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:Infobox New York legislation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>substituted</noinclude>).

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2017 California Democratic Party chairmanship election requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kimberly_Ellis&oldid=818073042. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. However, I think this table will be too long once all of these names have been added in. Do you have any suggestions to make this table readable after these additional names? Hi Rayne, I see you created some pages on Wikisource a while ago. This is great, but it's not clear what their source is. Did you translate these yourself? Or are they derived from somebody else's translations? If you can comment here, or better yet in the discussion on Wikisource, that would be excellent. A tag has been placed on Category:Honorary Marines requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Please let me know if you have questions. 2008 09:59, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi, despite what it may look like, I don't remember making such extraneous edits as removing all citations in the Nappily Ever After article. Furthermore, another article which I edited also had citation removals under my username which I absolutely did not make. I was afraid that my account has been hijacked, so I stopped making edits over the last two months. I don't know if I want to come back to editing under this account which is the second I've used since 2005. Apologies for the inconvenience, but I reiterate that this was not me removing those citations, and I'm upset that this happened.--RayneVanDunem (talk) 19:07, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oral Arguments of Supriyo v. Union of India[edit]

Please don't add anything until the Court publishes the hearing transcripts. I have been following the live hearing, and the news outlets, often selectively quote the conversation for a shock value.

For example, On 18th April 2023, when the Bench was hearing same-sex marriage, Solicitor General argued that in the Indian Legal System, gender depends on biological sex. D.Y. Chandrachud pointed out that it's not true. The comment is being misattributed to him. Whereas he was stating the judgement of Justice K. S. Radhakrishnan and A. K. Sikri in National Legal Services Authority v. Union of India case in 2014. Since 2014, in India, people have had the right to self-identify as male, female or third gender (non-binary). National Legal Services Authority v. Union of India was based on Government's own expert committee report. Basically, India has had right to self-identify gender since 2014.

On 19th April 2023, the Urban elitist concept was immediately debunked, as two of the petitioners were the trans women who were disowned by their rural families, and kicked out in their late teens. They struggled to come up to the position they are today now. In the court hearing, the whole "Urban elitist" incident turned into the how Centre has not even seriously engaged with the petitions filed.

If you are interested, you can check this page, they publish a summary of daily hearing under the section, "report", and they are more reliable source of information. https://www.scobserver.in/cases/legality-of-same-sex-marriage/ Wiki6995 (talk) 04:31, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Paul_012 (talk) 09:11, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You've been warned about this before by Diannaa, back in 2017. Please make sure you understand the attribution requirements before making any such edits, and go back to fix the ones you made in the past. --Paul_012 (talk) 09:13, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi RayneVanDunem. This is just to notify you that another editor has nominated Yoruba people in the Atlantic slave trade for deletion. Their nomination was incomplete in a number of ways, including failing to notify you, so I'm doing so on their behalf, although I believe the article should be kept. Mumbuca moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Mumbuca. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 18:19, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
