  • Chaldean - I am a Chaldean Assyrian and I was born in Baghdad, Iraq. I can speak our language fluently and I would like to help out anyway I can with the topic about our people.
  • Djwilms (talk) - I am British, and a Syriac studies scholar interested in the history and ecclesiastical organisation of both the East and West Syrian churches. The book of my PhD thesis, The Ecclesiastical History of the Church of the East, 1318-1913, which was published in 2000, went into a fair bit of detail on the history of Assyrian Christian villages before the First World War. I am now working on a second volume, covering the centuries before 1318, and on a companion book on the Syrian Orthodox and Syrian Catholic churches. I am presently Academic Editor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
  • Gareth Hughes — I am an Anglican linguist, working especially with Syriac, classical and modern. I have made a number of trips to various parts of Turkey and Syria to study the language.

I live in and was born in Chicago, USA. My father was born in Kirkuk, Iraq and my mother was born in Baghdad, Iraq. I speak fluent Assyrian, but I am a little slow on reading and writing in the Syriac language.

Interested in starting/rewriting articles on dioceses and bishops of the ECUSA and on individual parishes, especially ones on the National Register of Historic Places or otherwise of historic note. I've been busy creating subcategories for each state and Washington, D.C. in the Category:Episcopal churches in the United States and finding and or creating disambiguation pages for Anglican or Episcopal churches by name. I'm also interested in Carpenter Gothic churches in the US and Canada and have found that most of them are Episcopal or Anglican churches. I've also been trying to untangle the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware in which most church listings are actually redirect pages to the diocesan article. This has created difficulties in creating real articles on the churches so redirected. I'm also doing Anglican churches listed on various historic registers in Canada••

Charles Matthews (talk · contribs) General historical interest, particularly Early Modern Arminianism in the Church of England. Past work on Puritanism and related articles, Westminster Assembly members, Anglican bishops, and general upgrading of religious history and context. Ask me about the Dictionary of National Biography (DNB), do.
Robert of Ramsor (talk · contribs) Historian of Methodism and General Baptists. Interest in theology (London External BD so understand NT Greek) Concerned that description of Arminianism is done by calvinists and tend to portray pelagianism instead. My personal library includes 30 - 40 volumes on Methodism including Methodist Magazines of which some are posted on [http:\\www.rewlach.org.uk/books]

tuckerresearch (talk · contribs) Historian; grew up as a Southern Baptist but now see myself as a "Classic Arminian" or "Reformed Arminian" and a Free Will Baptist I have several books on Arminian theology and the Free Will Baptists, I really love the works of F. Leroy Forlines and Robert E. Picirilli Besides Calvinists demagoging against Arminianism (making it seem like semi-Pelagianism or Universalism), I am concerned that too many people equate Arminiansim with Wesley and Methodism, nothing wrong with Methodism, but not all Arminians are Methodists.
NW7US (talk · contribs) Disciple and minister. I adhere to the statement of faith found at the Society of Evangelical Arminians (SEA) Statement of Faith Interest in theology, history, use of social media as a tool for spreading the Gospel. I, too, am concerned that the description of Arminianism is done by Calvinists and tends to portray Pelagianism instead. I am an Arminian believer in the Gospel. I wish to help represent the Arminian theology and history accurately.

User:Rclark767 10 March 2020 I adhere to the statement of faith found at the Society of Evangelical Arminians (SEA) Statement of Faith I am a PhD candidate at the University of Manchester writing on Arminian theology. My graduate education was in systematic theology and the philosophy of religion. I wrote my master's thesis on Arminius. I have been a member of Free Will Baptist churches since becoming an Arminian. I have a minor in Biblical Studies, and have taught Bible customs, the history of the Jewish kingdoms, the exile / return, and the major prophets. I have a good knowledge of Latin, and some experience with Koine Greek. I own several translations in several languages.
  114. JohnChrysostom (talk) 02:10, 18 December 2011 (UTC) I've a BA in Philosophy and Comparative Religions, and am pursuing graduate studies as a Latin-rite Catholic seminarian. I can read Pseudo-Attic (i.e. Plato) and Koine Greek as well as Classical, Medieval, and Ecclesiastical Latin. Study of the Bible is a personal passion, rivaling my passion for philosophy, theology and ancient history. I own all of the major and most of the minor English translations (DRC, KJV, ASV, Knox, CCD, RSV, RSV-CE, RSV-2CE, Jerusalem Bible, NAB, NIV 1984, NASB, NKJV, NJB, REB, NRSV, NLT, OSB, NETS, NABRE, etc.), several versions in other languages, the Clementina and Nova Vulgatae, as well as most of the Greek source texts (W&H, NA27/UBS4, TR, Hodges-Farstad Majority Text, Rahlf's Septuagint, Brenton's LXX), with the exception of the Gottingen LXX. I have on hand also most ancient pagan and Jewish sources referring to the Christians or Jesus, the 38-volume collection of the Fathers, etc. if anyone needs anything referenced. If I would have to declare areas of expertise or specialty in specifically Biblical studies (without crossing in to theology or ecclesiastical history or the Fathers, where there is some overlap), it would be in the LXX, the OT canon, the non-canonical texts of the intertestamental and NT periods/pseudepigrapha, and the NT canon, with several other subjects in close proximity.

Name Talk page Joined Project Special interests/Background
Zach Zach talk 00:22, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC) Became a member of New England YM half a year ago; interested in the early Quakers and connections to radical Christianity.
Logophile Logophile talk 13:59, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC) I am a descendant of early New England Friends and am very sympathetic toward Quaker testimonies. I am not an official member of the Society, but I consider the Evangelical Friends Richard Foster and Dallas Willard two of my spiritual mentors through their books.
Ahc Ahc talk 04:55, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC) I am a member of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. My father's family has been Quaker for nearly as long as it has been an option. I have participated in events hosted by several other yearly meetings and participated YouthQuake which have given me extensive exposure to Friends in North America. I am most interested in what divides and unites the Religious Society of Friends today.
Doovinator Doovinator My family belonged to large mainstream Protestant churches when I was young, but when I was about fourteen became enamored of the small local Society of Friends meeting (they didn't use "religious" in their title, maintaining Quaker thought was personal belief, not religion). We attended meeting for the next five years or so, then moved out of town. I was rather shocked a few years later when I walked into a Quaker church; it was like a different planet. I haven't been to meeting in many years (there's not one remotely similar anywhere near where I now live) but have held my personal belief for nearly forty years.
Eric Forste Eric Forste I attend Strawberry Creek Monthly Meeting of Pacific YM. I like to think I started the articles on Margaret Fell (although that got merged, later on) and Elias Hicks.
Sdedeo Sdedeo 06:48, 9 August 2005 (UTC) I've attended Princeton's Monthly Meeting (part of FGC.) I've written big chunks of Quaker views of homosexuality -- I didn't start the page, but it was full of misinformation, so I waded in. It could well be merged into a different article.
Evan G Evan G 12:46, 9 August 2005 (UTC) I am a member of Canberra Regional Meeting. I have attended Friends' meetings since early 2001, in Canberra and before that in Brisbane. My interest in Quakerism is broad, including Quaker views of homosexuality. I am keen to see articles on Quakers reflect an international understanding of the Religious Society of Friends, but of course I am best placed to write on things relating to Australian Quakers.
AJR AJR I am a British Quaker (and towards the liberal hippy Friends end of Britain YM.) My parents are both members of BYM, and I have attended meeting since I was very young. I don't know much about Friends outside of BYM though.
Paul Carpenter Paul Carpenter I am a British Quaker, although not officially a member of BYM (I'm down as an "attender"); both my parents and significant part of my family are Quakers. I personally have attended a couple of BYMs, I am also quite involved with the Quaker Youth Theatre
Matt Baker Matt Baker I'm a British Quaker, and am involved with Quaker Youth Theatre, Junior Young Friends, and Junior Yearly Meeting as a participant/volunteer only. I am told my Quaker heritage dates back to 1652, and I'm going to apply for membership soon (I'm an attender, currently).
Artsygeek Artsygeek I'm a Friend in Baltimore Yearly Meeting. I'm Co-Clerk of BYM's Religious Ed Committee and member of its Ad Hoc Committee for Gender and Sexual Diversity Concerns.
JFT JFT I'm a British Quaker, down as an "attender". I currently go to Warwickshire Junior Young Friends and have started an article on it (though under an older and now redundant user name). I went to BYM at York in 2005, plan to go to BYM in May 2006, and will be at JYM this year too
Rich Accetta-Evans Rich Accetta-Evans I am a Friend in 15th Street Meeting of New York Yearly Meeting. I joined Friends in Albany, New York in 1968 and transferred to 15th Street in the early 1970's. My understanding of Quakerism is possibly more in line with that of so-called "conservative" unprogrammed meetings such as Ohio Yearly Meeting than it is with the generally liberal meeting to which I actually belong. Still I am pretty comfortable (most of the time) at 15th Street. I have served in various capacities over the years: ranging from greeter at the door to clerk of the meeting. Currently I am a member of the Ministry and Worship Committee. I also maintain a blog called Brooklyn Quaker
DAllen DAllen 18:01, 31 January 2006 (UTC) Member of Ithaca Monthly Meeting / NYYM, Attending meeting in Ontario. Working on the main article, plus Quaker views of homosexuality and Friends for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Concerns, likely others to come.
Neil Fullagar Neil Fullagar A member of the Society of Friends for 26 years, I started the FLGBTQC page and edited various others. I am a member and former clerk of San Francisco Meeting, Pacific Yearly Meeting ("the other PYM"), former Ministry & Counsel Committee member of (then) FLGC, former FGC Central Committee and Long Range Conference Planning Committee member, and member of the 2006 FGC Gatherig Planning Committee (and Junior Gathering Co-Clerk.)
Tom Tom 21:01, 7 April 2006 (UTC) Married in the Meeting House on the campus of the Moses Brown School, Providence, RI
Ted Ted 20:29, 22 April 2006 (UTC) A "conscientious nonmember" of a small yearly meeting in the US. I've served as clerk of what passes for a yearly meeting here and have served on FGC Central Committee and others. I normally edit topics in my vocation (genetics).
nirvana2013 nirvana2013 09:41, 24 April 2006 (UTC) An attendee at several Meetings, regard myself as a nonviolent Christian anarchist.
Vernon White Vernon White British Q, now living in Cornwall and exploring the Q heritage in these parts, especially the Fox family of Falmouth (two of them produced fascinating Journals, published in the C20th). I am also interested in defining the Q faith as non-credal to the extentof rejecting the term "Quakerism".
BCorr BCorr 11:49, 8 August 2006 (UTC) In the process of joining Friends Meeting at Cambridge (in Massachusetts). Generally interested in the history of Friends and the various splits and differences among the branches of the Society.
Roy Roy talk 07:01, 10 August 2006 (UTC) I'm not sure I'm doing any of this correctly, but please know that I do not intend to offend. I am a member of Northwest Yearly Meeting, living in Newberg, Oregon. I have been involved deeply with Friends for the last thirty years or so. My wife (Kathleen) and I have both served on exec committee for Friends Association for Higher Education (FAHE) so have developed several good friendships with Quakers from all over the place, including, in no particular order Baltimore, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Kansas, Ohio, Guildford, California (especially Whittier), Bolivia, Peru, Kenya, Rwanda, England, Iowa, and of course, Oregon/Washington/Idaho (both NWYM and PYM). Encountered Friends when I attended George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon and began a process of becoming convinced. I am not a joiner by nature, but the fit was so exact I finally could not resist. Earned PhD in Org Com, with foci in Semiotics/Anth linguistics/Philosophy and Communication (so I tend to focus on organizations, structures and the "why" things are like they are). I am an evangelical, but am wondering if the term is particularly useful any more, given how it has been drug around by the political right. I am frequently amazed at how misunderstood various groups of Quakers seem to be, especially by one another. Supporter of FCNL, AFSC, RSWR, etc.
Dan Treadway Dan Treadway 12:01, 23 August 2006 (UTC) I'm a lifelong Frined from Iowa YM (C).
Badbilltucker Badbilltucker 17:22, 19 December 2006 (UTC} Probably primarily in assessments and other directly project-related activites.
(in English)MHM
(in French)MHM
MHM 26 January 2007 Member of Geneva Monthly Meeting, Switzerland.
Interested in improving articles on Friends in the French Wikipedia. This WikiProject is a great help!
John Harvey John Harvey 31 January 2007 Birthright Quaker and retired computer geek becoming an amateur educationist interested in how to teach children to learn high order thinking skills based on Peirce's pragmaticism
Drum guy Drum guy 17 February 2007 Attender of Britain YM, interested in general work and topics to do with Quaker practices/events/meetings I'm familiar with.
Thexalon Thexalon 10 March 2007 Raised in New England Yearly Meeting (Concord Friends Meeting), have worked at a couple of Quaker camps, as well as had some involvement in AFSC. My mother is also an extremely involved Friend, having served in the past as presiding clerk of New England YM, and is currently doing research on Friends involvement with slavery and abolition.
Mel Smith Mel Smith 24 April 2007 I'm a member of Toronto Monthly Meeting (currently in abeyance) who is interested in Canadian Society of Friends history, including the various scisms of the 18th and 19th century here, the history of Friends in relation to non-human rights and environmental issues, and similar. I currently attend an unprogramed meeting and don't know much about programmed and evangelical Friends.
Neil Hall Neil Hall 1 May 2007 I have been a member of Britain Yearly Meeting since 1980. I have served my local Preparative Meeting as clerk (two separate 3-year stints), among other responsibilities.
Pendle Haven Pendle Haven 8 May 2007 I have been a member of the Illinois Yearly Meeting since 2005. Prior to that I was searching spiritually for a religion that fit my beliefs. I ended up right where I started, as my mother, and her family are also Quaker, and have been since coming to America.
SamBC SamBC 25 June 2007 I'm a 'recently convinced' (to the tune of about 3 years) Young Friend in Great Britain, currently serving as fundraiser for YFGM and member of the YFGM committee operating Pardshaw Young Friends' Centre.
John Carter John Carter 28 July 2007 Your basic religious nut, will probably work primarily in assessment, peer review, and the like.
Natcase Natcase 30 September 2007 Member of Twin Cities Friends Meeting. Raised non-religious, attended George School, joined Hanover (NH) Meeting, now at TCFM. Especialy interested in fleshing out the 19th-century schisms and their institutional results (e.g. school and organization affiliations)
Callid Keefe-Perry LCKeefe 25 January 2008 I'm a member of Rochester Monthly Meeting, Farmington-Scipio Regional Meeting, and New York Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. I've done some small service with FGC's Central Committee, and currently serve on NYYM's Young Adult Concerns Committee. I've been involved with several Traveling Ministries Program events, and travel in the ministry under a minute from my Meeting. I am also the webmaster of THEOPOETICS(dot)NET, a site dealing with Theopoetics whose existence owes much to work done at the Quaker Seminary, the Earlham School of Religion.
Moni3 Moni3 July 25 2008 I'm a convinced Quaker who comes from a long ancestral line of New Jersey Friends (line broken somewhere). I'm an occasional attendant of the Gainesville Society of Friends. Here on Wikipedia, I write articles relating to social justice (Birmingham campaign, Marjory Stoneman Douglas) and conscientious environmental stewardship. Most recently I have been working on a suite of articles to get featured relating to the Everglades. I have 10 FAs on these topics. Let me know if you're interested in getting an article featured. I'd be glad to help you.
Fennasnogothrim Fennasnogothrim October 21 2008 I have been raised in the Conservative Friends tradition all my life. I have encountered many Friends from distant places and different traditions, and have a fairly diverse background. I am studying Quakerism and Computer Science in college right now, and I have a few experienced Friends around and a lot of different Quaker meetings of different types I can go to. I am a member of Ohio Yearly Meeting(Conservative).
Jaybird_vt Jaybird_vt June 30 2009 I am a member of Putney Monthly Meeting, NEYM; I help program our adult religious education, as well as serving on Fellowship Committee. I am a convinced Friend since early 2006; I found Quakerism through my undergraduate studies in comparative mysticism and community-based religious practices. I am interested in learning more about both Wikipedia and Quakerism through collaboration with seasoned Friends.
SoaringBird SoaringBird January 4 2012 I have been Quaker (liberal unprogrammed) since about 1959. Just finished an M.Div. at Earlham School of Religion. I am a member of Friends Meeting of Austin, Austin, Texas, USA.
Crinoline Crinoline November 12 2012 I have recently completed an Anthropology MA, including a study of Kenyan Quakers in London, UK. I would like to expand the entry on Quakerism in Kenya, and start a page (if it is not there already) on Quaker meetings in Brtain that use programmed and semi-programmed worshiping styles.
FSB95 (talk) FSB 95 August 25 2014 I am a member of Britain Yearly Meeting and was a representative of Sussex East Area Meeting at the 2014 YM in Session. I'm heavily involved with Quaker work (Local Premises Committee, Area Meeting Working Group on Membership Records), and I'm in contact with Friends World Committee for Consultation with a view towards volunteering at the 2016 Friends World Conference in Arequipa, Peru.
Sarnold17 Sarnold17 November 17 2014 I am descended from several early Quakers in Rhode Island, and have been working mostly on Rhode Island historical figures in Wikipedia. I have nominated articles on two RI Quakers for Good Article status: William Coddington and Mary Dyer (one of the Boston martyrs ). I have also recently greatly expanded the article on colonial American Quaker activist, Christopher Holder.
pachmarhi pachmarhi January 27 2016 I am a member of Britain Yearly Meeting.
Rev. 'Public Friend' Felipe Ribeiro operarioribeiro October 04 2023 I am the clerk minister of the São Paulo Unitarian Universalist Quaker Meeting who collaborates with the Quaker Religious Education Collaborative (QREC), Quaker Studies Research Association (QSRA), American Association and Friends Service Committee (AFSC), and Quaker Arts Network (QAN). I'm also an international interfaith studies and peace studies scholar.
