My ignorance of football is profound and I frankly like to keep it that way. But if it's true that this guy has played in the Super Lig, doesn't that make him notable according to WP:NFOOTBALL, since it's a fully professional league? On the other hand, a quick google shows that sourcing that fact might be rather difficult. At any rate, to my mind it makes G4 inappropriate (though I see now that User:Primefac disagrees).

I agree that the sudden appearance of Ppfoot for the sole purpose of disputing CSD templates on these articles is starting to look rather feathered-beaked-and-webbed-footed, but strictly speaking Ppfoot had every right to remove CSD templates, which any editor other than the page creator can do for any reason (though I see now that User:KrakatoaKatie disagrees). I'm not about to dish out a block for edit-warring, but I'd at least like to hear your thoughts on the NFOOTBALL issue above. GoldenRing (talk) 13:32, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

GoldenRing, I was going mainly on the AFD, which closed two months ago. At that time there was no evidence that he had played in a pro league, and I couldn't find any verification of the new information (which says he debuted before the AFD happened). In other words, it really looked like the creator had read the AFD, seen the criteria (must be in pro league) and made something up. If I'm wrong about that, I'm happy to restore. Primefac (talk) 13:38, 19 April 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
I'm also not convinced there's not some socking going on here – this guy is at the top of my list. Any article about Nigerian or Ghanian football is suspect, particularly if it's been recreated in this manner. I don't have time right now to run CU on him but I intend to when I get back this afternoon. Katietalk 14:00, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

Request on 16:17:49, 19 April 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by Chloeandisabel

Hi! I am the user who is creating the page for Chloe + Isabel, and would love to know if you have any additional comments on why the initial page was rejected, and what the steps are to get a page into a "space" where it can be edited but not deleted. Thank you very much!

Chloeandisabel (talk) 16:17, 19 April 2017 (UTC)

Chloeandisabel, in the interest of good faith (and saving you the trouble of re-finding all those reference links) I've restored your draft. The main concern Chrissymad had was with the (sorry to be honest) blatant promotion that was rampant in the draft. Some of the more egregious phrases I removed were things like "Chloe + Isabel products are produced by the world's best-known manufacturers..." and "...dedicated to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs..." - Wikipedia isn't a social media or marketing platform. It is designed to summarize what other people have said about a subject, in a neutral tone free of promotion.
For example, Their original designs are sold exclusively through a nationwide network of c+i small business owners known as Merchandisers could be re-written using exactly the same information as They sell their designs through a nationwide network of small-business franchises. All the facts, none of the promotion.
As an additional note, your username is promotional (we don't accept usernames that represent a company), so you'll have to request a username change at WP:CHUS. For example, "User:ACME" isn't acceptable, but "User:Jane at ACME" is okay. Alternately, of course, you can make something up like my username.
As a final note, if you work for Chloe+Isabel, you must disclose this on your userpage. The easiest way is to put the {{paid}} template on your userpage (which would look like {{paid|employer=Chloe + Isabel}}. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 17:44, 19 April 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

Thank you very much for helping out with those suggestions and saving that edit with the references. I am having some trouble with the citations. Is there a way to save my edits but not fully "re-submit" the article? I want to allow more editors to comment but don't want the full page to be rejected again. There doesn't seem to be any button other than "save changes" which re-submits the full article again, from what I understand.

Again, thank you so much for your help here! I also requested a new name and followed the other suggestions you put in place.

Chloeandisabel (talk) 19:11, 20 April 2017 (UTC) Lauren

Chloeandisabel, your draft is not currently submitted for review, so as long as you don't click the "resubmit" button on the decline notice the draft will stay un-submitted. Primefac (talk) 19:13, 20 April 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

Six Sigma and Six Theta Design

Dear Six Sigma and Six Theta Design are two differnt designs in the mechanical Engineering. You have said Six Sigma and Six Theta Design are same thing. The Six Theta framework was created to improve and synthesize mechanical designs by offering KPIs and objective methods into mechanical design, which would give engineers a tool for comparing and improving their mechanical designs. DA Klara, your page was deleted as being a copyright violation, so there's really not much point in restoring it (since it would have to be immediately deleted again). I highly suggest you use the Article wizard to create a draft, which will then be reviewed by experienced editors upon submission (this is also a necessity, as the Digital Arrow page has been protected from creation). Please remember that all Wikipedia pages must be written in your own words - copying directly from other sources isn't allowed. Primefac (talk) 16:18, 26 April 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

May 2017 WikiCup newsletter

The second round of the competition has now closed, with just under 100 points being required to qualify for round 3. YellowEvan just scraped into the next round with 98 points but we have to say goodbye to the thirty or so competitors who didn't achieve this threshold; thank you for the useful contributions you have made to the Cup and Wikipedia. Our top scorers in round 2 were:

  • Scotland Cas Liber, led the field with five featured articles, four on birds and one on astronomy, and a total score of 2049, half of which came from bonus points.
  • Japan 1989 was in second place with 826 points, 466 of which were bonus points. 1989 has claimed points mostly relating to anime and Japanese-related articles.
  • South Australia Peacemaker67 took third place with two FAs, one GA and seven GARs, mostly on naval vessels or military personnel, scoring 543 points.
  • Other contestants who scored over 400 points were Freikorp, Carbrera, and Czar. Of course all these points are now wiped out and the 32 remaining contestants start again from zero in round 3.

Vivvt submitted the largest number of DYKs (30), and MBlaze Lightning achieved 13 articles at ITN. Carbrera claimed for 11 GAs and Argento Surfer performed the most GARs, having reviewed 11. So far we have achieved 38 featured articles and a splendid 132 good articles. Commendably, 279 GARs have been achieved so far, more than double the number of GAs.

So, on to the third round. Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 2 but before the start of round 3 can be claimed in round 3. Remember too that you must claim your points within 10 days of "earning" them. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points equally.

If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Thanks for the note. Still, unless the creating user is currently blocked as a sock of someone who was blocked before the page was created, it shouldn't be deleted as G5. G5's never an emergency by itself, so unless it qualifies for speedy deletion under some other criterion, we won't suffer by having it around until a sockblock's imposed. The point, I believe, is that those most familiar with the case should be judging — if the creator isn't blocked, either the CUs (and others at SPI) haven't yet been able to weigh in, or they've decided that it's not a case of illegitimate socking. Either way, the user hasn't been deemed a problematic sock, and therefore its creations shouldn't be G5 deleted. Nyttend (talk) 14:06, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

Woah - what happened to the Article I was working on.

I know it needed work as I was actively bringing in sources but why did you delete ALL of it? Learningmaster (talk)

Learningmaster There were several issues with this article, the first being quite a few significant copyright violations, hence the revision deletion. The second being the rather promotional and non-encyclopedic nature of the rest. I'd recommend you draft in your sandbox or through WP:AFC rather than in mainspace or you run the risk of deletion, however copyrighted content still cannot be added to a draft. ACC tool access request approved

Chrissymad, thank you for your interest in the account creation process. I have verified that you are identified to the Wikimedia Foundation and approved your request.

You may now access the interface here pending a tool root marking your account as identified in the tool database. Before you begin handling requests, please ensure you have read and understood the account creation guide and username policy to familiarise yourself with the process.

Please subscribe yourself to the private ACC mailing list following the instructions on that page. I also advise that you also join us on IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect where a bot informs us when new account requests come in and you can get real time advice on how to handle requests.

Please note failure to correctly assess requests will result in suspension of tool access. Account creation is not a race, and each one should be handled diligently and thoroughly. Releasing personally identifying information (such as IP and email addresses), whether intentionally or unintentionally, is treated very seriously and will generally result in immediate suspension.

Currently you are allowed to create up to six accounts per day, and you won't be able to create an account with a similar name to that of another user; these requests are marked as "Flagged user needed" on the interface. However, if you reach the limit frequently, you can request the account creator permission at WP:PERM/ACC.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. Again welcome!  FastLizard4 (talkcontribs) 22:44, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

I am writing an article on Kevin lee. A very talented Actor and quite well established now here in CHina. One of very many foreign actors whom has a name for him self and has achieved quite a lot. I'm actually quite a big fan of Kevin's and feel he honestly deserves to have an articles on wiki.

I recently added some notable sources ( Kevin Lee was the first foreign actor to of had his face on not one, but now two movie posters)

Really hope you could reconsider my request. I am looking at continually following Kevin's career with constant updates to wiki.

I attempted to update the entry and add information about the history of the museum and the current changes it is undergoing. Can I ask why this was reverted please?

Many thanks,

Lyme Regis Museum Marketing (talk) 13:48, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

Lyme Regis Museum Marketing The content was not encyclopedic in tone and was a very close paraphrasing/copyvio of content from the museum itself. Please also see the username policy as well as the policy on conflicts of interest. Cheers!CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 14:04, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

15:53:47, 11 May 2017 review of submission by Smstuckey

I was confused as to why the article was rejected. I have multiple independent and reliable references to the event. The first and second references explain the history of the event.

What else would I need to add to make this a more "notable" event?

Thanks for your input, Smstuckey (talk) 15:53, 11 May 2017 (UTC)smstuckey

Smstuckey While there are some sources, they're entirely local and not really coverage but interviews or mentions. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 18:16, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

———Chrissymad I believe it fits the definition of "earned media coverage". Additionally, I don't think Wikipedia mentions that using only "local" news is insufficient, and the event has recurred over a period of several years. Even though the first and second sources are interviews, I thought it gave a brief but adequate description of how the event originated. Compare it to the page for the Charm City Bluegrass Festival, which exists... Smstuckey (talk) 18:42, 11 May 2017 (UTC)smstuckey

Smstuckey Please see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. The CCBFCC is a notable topic because the coverage comes from independent reliable sources and they've won notable awards. The patch, etc...are hardly qualified as major coverage and WJZ is borderline as it's a local affiliate only. I am very familiar with all of these sources as they are all my local stations etc...but aside from that, most of the sources aren't in-depth coverage. Hello Chrissymad,

I see that you removed 5000+ characters from this article, which I recently submitted. And you removed 26 or so of the 61 links/references. Can I ask why ? So I can understand what I need to avoid in my future edits. Thanks in advance!

Best wishes, Caltheon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Caltheon (talkcontribs) 11:11, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

I have joined wikipedia only to make changes on Tunisha sharma age

And I have given reliable source. The actress herself recently in an interview stated she is 15 YR old and is in 9th std. This was the latest interview she gave to punjabi media. It's also uploaded in youtube. And she herself on her birthday recently gave an hashtag stating she is 15 YR old on Instagram, facebook , Twitter . Thats why I decided to make changes. Check your facts (talk) 11:49, 12 May 2017 (UTC)

Check your facts, the issue is that the sources you posted don't actually give her birth date. For example, someone who is currently 15 years old in 2017 could have been born in January 2002 or November 2003. We need a reliable source that verifies her actual birthday. If you can find her verified Twitter account that actually lists her birthday, we might be able to use that. Primefac (talk) 12:16, 12 May 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

Regarding my draft

Hello Crissymad, Thank you for your help till now, and correcting the mistakes I've made. My article 'Project Manas' was rejected as it didn't have reliable references. I've done some research and added a few more references. Project Manas is a student project, so procuring any more reliable sources is impossible.I've been waiting for a long time and I would appreciate it if you could give me an update on it. Below are the details of my submission. Category:AfC submissions by date/08 May 2017 Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bringing bits to life (talkcontribs) 11:58, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

Bringing bits to life, your draft has exactly one reference (India Times) that goes into any detail about the group and isn't directly connected to the organization. Everything else is either PRIMARY (i.e. written by someone directly involved) or is just a brief one-paragraph mention in a list of other similar groups. You'll need to add more references that are not directly connected to the group, and talk in detail about them. Primefac (talk) 13:45, 13 May 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
Hi Primefac, This is regarding my draft Project Manas. As we are a student project, emerged in 2014, we do not have any other references as such. Can you advise me as of what can I do next so that my article gets published. Thank you . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bringing bits to life (talkcontribs) 05:12, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
Bringing bits to life, if all of the available sourcing is what's currently in the draft, then unfortunately your organization simply does not meet our inclusion criteria. Maybe there will be more sources in the future. Primefac (talk) 15:17, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Hi Primefac, I have recently added three more references to my page, I request you to look into it and update if those references are adequate or more are needed. Also, My draft-Project Manas , got deleted some time back,I request you to grant me permission to access my draft in order to make a few corrections and send it to review. I am really looking forward to make the amendments and in order to do this, i need access to it.

Further help would be appreciated. Thankyou. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bringing bits to life (talkcontribs) 06:05, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

LeGrasMusic, the key phrase in your question is "beginning musician". Wikipedia is not a place for people to "get noticed", nor is it a social media platform. We require coverage in reliable sources that talk in detail about LeGras. If you can find sources of this calibre, you are welcome to add them to the page and hopefully put off the deletion. Deletion of my article about Dacca Overseas Limited

Hello Chrissy

I recently tried submitting an article to wikipedia about the company I work for, and it was tagged for speedy deletion. I tried my best to present a neutral point of view and avoided all sorts of promotion. Any advise on any edits I can make to the article to be suitable for wikipedia will be highly appreciated. Ill atach the article below for your reference.

Thanks!

Kdayef (talk) 12:14, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

Kdayef, my first suggestion would be to not post your article on someone's talk page. My second suggestion would be to use the Article Wizard to create a draft, which will be reviewed by experienced editors after submission.
As for the content of your page, the opening paragraph wasn't too bad - it said what the company does and where they're located. It was the "Trading" section that was little more than a business profile or a promotional advert. We don't need a breakdown of every part of the company's responsibilities, and articles need to be written in a neutral point of view. Finally, you provided zero independent reliable sources that talked about the company. Wikipedia requires this for all articles (see The Golden Rule). If you can correct these issues, and if you use the Article Wizard, you will be much better off. Primefac (talk) 12:37, 17 May 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

You recently rejected User:Priti Saini/Shri Shantinath Temple and Seva Sansthan, Sangamner. The user bypassed AfC and had it created. The article was CSDed before she came to AfC. I do not want to take it to AfD as I believe it will only end with a suggestion to draftify. I tried messaging the user, besides removing the spammy content in the article to see if it elicits any response, but to no avail. Do you have any suggestions for this case. Mortimer Common and MFM

Why have you elected to remove external links on the village web site Mortimer Common , to local voluntary groups who are relevant to that village?

One of those groups - MFM - who you seem determined to remove from the related disambiguation pages raised £558 for Prostate Cancer UK two weeks ago entirely thanks to the effort of volunteers

Non of this contravenes the rules you are expousing — Preceding unsigned comment added by Njthec (talkcontribs) 18:29, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

Njthec Wikipedia is not a soapbox and DABs are not for lists of everything that exists- they are navigation aids for Wikipedia. And the external links section is not for anything loosely related with the subject of an article. Please see WP:ELNO. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 18:32, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

Njthec My mistake, I'll gladly remove the rest. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 18:47, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

that's not what I wanted, your mistake was to removed the village partnership - the name of a group of volunteers that simply promotes village life - two wrongs don't make a right. Therapy

HI Chrissymad, Firstly, I hope you're enjoying the Cairribean (very jealous). There should be nothing fringe or promotional about the article about person-centered therapy - please compare it to those for other major types of therapy (CBT, psychodynamic, Gestalt etc). Each of these has a well-written article and I am merely bringing the article about Person-centered Therapy up to that quality. Note that some of those other articles are much bigger than mine. The original had many errors of omission, and quite a few of commission. It was an embarrassment to all in my field and would have had to be deleted anyway! It is important that there is a level playing field for 'rival' players in any given field, and that important information is not stiffled. Please feel free to read up about Person-centered Therapy (if my reference list is still available) - there is no good reason why it can't have an article as comprehensive and as helpful as those for other leading types of therapy. I am very happy to answer any Q's, but please know that I have just spent the second half of the day re-doing the work that was lost by the last deletion of my material - which is very frustrating. I would love to hear feedback about specific aspects of the article, but please please don't continue to erase the whole thing.

Reversion of Edit to Joshua Alan

It was requested that the edits to Joshua Alan's page be reverted as the they were done (presumably) by the spouse of one of the band members of Black Box 13. They made several edits in the past few days in what is believed to be in an effort to promote these former band members, hence the reason for the edits/reverting. The link to the award is fine (the past links were done incorrectly), but if it is seen that this person does this again (by placing the names of the past members in order to promote them and doing the links incorrectly), I will ensure to revert them. Dijares, even people with a conflict of interest are allowed (though strongly discouraged) to make edits to a page, provided it is neutral and sourced. While the original reference didn't verify the sources, it was fairly easy to find a source that verified the edits. Seeing as how the content is neutral and sourced, there is no reason to remove the content. Primefac (talk) 12:11, 23 May 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

I noticed that my very own, impartial and competent contribution is not published! Why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dufresne tim (talkcontribs) 17:43, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

Dufresne tim, it might have something to do with the fact that your draft has no independent reliable sources to verify any of the material in the draft. How can we check to make sure what you've said is true? As far as the reason for being declined - we don't need every minor detail about the festival, including things like The cost of costumes is on average 160 Euros. Trim out some of the excessive detail and make sure everything is written from a neutral point of view. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 17:53, 23 May 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

Thanks for the answer, but what I write is a neutral and independent search, I know the case well and I know that many details can only be verified by a legal inquiry, but the organizers are colluding with many politicians and officials. Much information is also due to my personal experience, such as Michel Moore, if you want to confirm my findings try searching on wiki or elsewhere and you will see that my words are well founded. About the deletion added by me at Lookahead

I'm sorry to tell you but you deleted the correct info posted by me and left an incorrect one.

"In dynamic range compression, a signal processing design to avoid compromise between slow attack rates that produce smooth-sounding gain changes, and fast attack rates capable of catching transients"

Lookahead is delay on signal to can find the disturbing sound before playing. Have nothing to do with attack feature. Only to setting/presets, musicians correlate lookahead with attack and release but that's different...

Anyway there miss an important important aspect: lookahead on limiters for music production.

12:12:10, 31 May 2017 review of submission by Grant Davidson

Hi Chrissymad, Thanks for taking the time to review my submission. My first, and I took quite some time to read earlier articles on leadership, to get a feel for the style required. I came across all sorts from 'staccato' bullet points to essay-like stories. So here below is an adapted piece, a bit more matter-of-fact, which I would like your comment on, and any pointers you can give me to improve the style further. Look forward to hearing . . .

Proposed content

Einstein once offered that creativity and innovation are needed to solve the complex problems of the world, and particularly these skills are considered the most crucial for 21st century leadership. Creative Leadership is a natural progression from transformational, authentic and servant leadership, incorporating not only moral values, but pushing beyond these into the realms of social impact, inter-enterprise collaboration, while actively safeguarding planet Earth and its resources. Although technology will continue to provide enablers for increasing our effectiveness, the focus of innovation is widening, necessarily, to create an inclusive distribution of wealth and welfare, and to the tighten the bond between natural and manmade ecosystems. In other words, the collective interests of societal impact need to be balanced with those of leading individuals.

Introduction

In this interconnected, fast-paced and symbiotic world, we need leaders with novel, noble ideas, who are willing to take risks, inspire and do the hard work, while building on strategic partnerships to address societal and global challenges. In these endeavors, leaders must also incorporate skills from the realms of design, as well as the hard and soft sciences. To succeed, the new economy will need to substitute globalization with a systemic approach to local solutions which, in turn, contribute to solving large-scale global issues. These solutions can only be created with intimate, empathetic knowledge of the context, needs and culture. By nature no single stakeholder can create them.

Definition.

Creative leadership as a philosophy • embraces change as a given while seeking opportunity in all things by envisioning desirable futures. • unleashes the courage, collaboration and creativity of potential contributors, and applies this towards a generous, inclusive purpose • is rooted in pragmatic idealism, empathy and the rise of a transcendent consciousness that goes beyond gratifying the needs of the individual.

Creative leadership as an act • is the ability of an individual to envision desirable futures and build a scalable enterprise through derived innovative strategies. • is the combination of creativity, critical analysis, experimentation and bold action to drive participative value, which serves the triple bottom line (planet, people, profit).

Grant Davidson, I've read through both of your texts. Unfortunately neither of them is particularly suitable for Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a place for personal essays or original research. Now, the subject of your essays, "creative leadership", may be suitable for inclusion on Wikipedia, but it must be written in a neutral, well-sourced manner. Phrases like In this interconnected, fast-paced and symbiotic world, we need leaders with novel, noble ideas... are not encyclopaedic content. When you make a statement like New models of business are about vision, focus, communication, cognitive flexibility, authenticity, and partnership - who said that? Where can I go to verify that these are the new models?
So in summary, you're welcome to continue working on your page, but you'll need to add inline citations, and make sure everything is verifiable and neutral. Primefac (talk) 12:26, 31 May 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

I would appreciate the help. I feel bullied by these total reversions. It is very discouraging when all of one's well intention completely factual contribution is completely disregarded. I would have expected that which is with merit be retained.

I am totally unaware of any copyright violation and would be delighted to know exactly what content represents such. I believe that nearly all of the information directly below is a public record, thus is subject to "Fair Use" or posted with permission by Delta Kappa Phi Fraternity of America, Inc.

Is the issue a missing attribution of a copyright release?

Delta Kappa Phi Fraternity of America

The new factual content added is:

ManagingDirector Who did they release the copyright to? If it was not directly to Wikipedia through WP:OTRS or clearly marked with a compatible license, it can't be used. Additionally, you really should be requesting edits given your conflict of interest. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 15:08, 2 June 2017 (UTC)

The information was emailed to me by the National President with permission to post on Wiki and their web site which I provide in good faith to the fraternity without cost as a public service. I'm guessing that taking factual public record information from their web site and posting it to Wiki is the copyright issue. Would it be enough to post a "GNU" type license on their web site? All these people want is a correct, factual and complete account of their existence on Wiki. I've spent a whole day on this project with little to show for it. How can I move the ball forward? Thanks for your comments. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ManagingDirector (talkcontribs) 16:49, 2 June 2017 (UTC)

Actually, ManagingDirector, having them put up a "copyleft" notice on their website would work. It's not ideal for it to be GNU (Creative Commons is better), but more information about that can be found at WP:DONATETEXT. As a minor note, it is possible to have factual, correct information on Wikipedia without it being directly copied from another source. Primefac (talk) 16:53, 2 June 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

Rejected draft

To work on an article for a year, and try to shift through events just to have someone tell you that despite all that you've found on the subject they have a problem with how you've written it...I know you don't know how any of that feels. - Informant16 May 25, 2017

Informant16, many AFC reviewers are content creators themselves, and while we don't often spend a year writing an article, we've all experienced frustration when someone disagrees with the work we've done. As Chrissymad mentioned in her decline notice, much of the information on your draft is already included in John F. Kennedy, and some of other information such as Kennedy was involved in a student committee dedicated to the funding of Red Cross for refugees... is fairly trivial information. Just because your draft was declined doesn't mean you should just up and quit; our existing article on JFK could be improved to a Good Article with a little bit of work, so maybe you could devote the same energy you put into the draft into making the existing article better? Primefac (talk) 14:37, 25 May 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
So because you disagree with one piece of information, as you pointed out in the draft, then you're going to throw the whole thing out. It's common place on here for you guys to go about picking some things out you don't like and saying they're bad, I get that, but she just denounced the entire thing. There are other early life articles shorter and longer than that one and it seems the only reason this one won't get accepted is because it is on JFK. - Informant16 May 25, 2017
Informant16 Nevermind my previous edit, I see your talk edits now. However, as I said previously, this was written like an essay. The tone is not appropriate for an encyclopedia. No one is saying delete it but in it's current state it will not be approved. You can continue working to fix it. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 14:50, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
You keep making the claim of written like an essay. I wrote that the same way I write any article so should I just manually delete every entry I've made on here? Whose to say if I make some changes, which you still won't specify, then you're going to have issue with it again? You're not saying, "Do this, this way" but rather "Just do this." You should know by your review that I'm clearly not educated enough of a writer to understand the difference. - Informant16 May 25, 2017
Informant16 Part of the purpose of AFC is so that you can go back and change stuff to make it suitable for an encyclopedia...one decline isn't a deletion. There are some great links in the decline notice which further explain about encyclopedic tone, I would start there. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 15:03, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
As a minor note, throwing your toys out of the pram (i.e. threatening to just up and delete everything you've done) is a bit excessive. Primefac (talk) 15:05, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
I'd used as the basis for the article existing ones such as the Early life of Frank Sinatra and Early life of Joseph Stalin. Primefac, I've written this the way I'd write any other article and a lot of the stuff I've written such as the presidential timelines and some of the content on the members of the Trump administration, has stayed up. So if my involvement is not good enough here then surely it wasn't in any of those places. I'm not threatening anything, as I know if I tried then I would get charged with vandalizing multiple pages and then banned for picking up my stuff and taking it with me. Informant16 May 25, 2017
(looking in): Informant16, this isn't personal. Each article is judged on its own merits. No person does equally good work all the time, here or any other context. All writers, even the most expert, benefit from revision. What you wrote is a good start, but it needs abridgment. The medical information is important, but all the details are not. You should work on this further. DGG ( talk ) 00:59, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

More FYI

Trout me if you already know about this, but checking accounts' filter logs is a sneaky way of viewing otherwise deleted pages. It's very helpful for SPI, and I've used it extensively. Best, GABgab 16:46, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

Hello. Why did you remove links on Adaptive Support Ventilation? Thank you. Dctrzl (talk) 17:26, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

Please add my contribution back

Hi Chrissymad,

You removed my Spiceworks contribution to the Comparison of Q&A sites page. Spiceworks is more relevant than many of the sites listed. How can I get it added back?

Thanks! Marni — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marniburger (talkcontribs) 14:32, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Re: reverted changes to "Horiyoshi III" page

Hello Chrissymad

I've just seen you reverted the changes I did on Horiyoshi's article. The idea was not to advertise his job but to show people that he is still tattooing. The current article is completely misleading and let people who have always dreamed of making a tattoo with him to give up. He is still doing new tattoos and they are not as expensive as people think. That was the point I wanted to transmit with the edits to the article.

Early Life of JFK

You asked me about this. I consider the concept is perfectly appropriate article. Nut you should make the following changes: slightly decrease the detail on family, schooling, and the medical detail. Trim out unnecessary references that may be from unauthoritativer sources. Retitle it Early life and career of ....and resubmit. Let me know on my talk p. when you do. DGG ( talk ) 09:07, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

DGG I think you may have the wrong editor. :) CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 14:26, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

Hi Chrissymad,

I was hoping you might be able to suggest how to better reference this article such that it gets approved?

The reference used has come directly from the Association that has created the articles namesake and is the most accurate, up to date, and reliable information available. Any other source used to further verify the content of this article would reference back to the named association, and most likely the reference currently included.

Kind regards,

09:36:51, 9 June 2017 review of submission by Quibu

Hello Chrissymad, I really don't understand why you have rejected my article again. This is the fifth time I have (meticulously) revised it according to the criticism given by the reviewer and every time there seems to be a different reason for rejection. As you said yourself, I included a lot of references that not only prove Quint Buchholz is a notable person but also EACH and EVERY statement made in the article. Among the sources are articles from various independent newspapers, among them the renowned German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung AND the NY Times, which published an article about Quint Buchholz and only about Quint Buchholz, written by renowned children's literature expert Perry Nodelman. Also, among the sources listed are two different encyclopedias that have an entry under his name, as well as two other published books about contemporary art that dedicate whole chapters to Quint Buchholz. How does that constitute being mentioned only "in passing"? Furthermore, he is a recipient of many offical international prizes and awards, including the Mildred L. Batchelder Award. The list of recipients of the Batchelder Award is even available on the English Wikipedia itself, and Quint Buchholz appears there! How can a person who has illustrated over 70 different works of world literature and published a number of books himself still not be an item on the English Wikipedia? (an article about him is, however, available on the German Wikipedia.) I would like to kindly ask you to reconsider your rejection or tell me exactly what I need to do so I don't have to keep putting time into this article just so it is rejected again. Sincerely, Quibu (talk) 09:36, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
