Hello i have problem with search and spelling pages in the Wiki

Hello K6ka The search page is a small mistake in the spelling of names Struzik, the name is spelled with a lowercase letter, and should be high.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miroslaw_struzik

Does the name in wyszukianiu affinity to be the first?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Miroslaw.struzik (talkcontribs)

If you mean that "Struzik" should have a capital "S" in front of it, then yes, the Wikipedia article should have it capitalized as well. I can rename the page for you, if you'd like. K6ka (talk | contribs) 14:22, 29 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok if it is no problem to change is cool. But why did you delete this page? It was hard job and i spend a lot of time :(( Can you restore me page?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Miroslaw.struzik (talkcontribs)

Not sure where you got the idea that I deleted the page. 1. I am not an admin and cannot delete pages, 2. The deletion log indicates that the admin Jimfbleak (talk · contribs) deleted your page. You should consult him instead. K6ka (talk | contribs) 16:51, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Protonema

Hi, I tried changing Liverworts to Hornworts in the second paragraph where it says they do not have a protonemal stage, but then goes on to say in the third paragraph that Hornworts do not exhibit protonema. I know there's no source but isn't this just a matter of inconsistency? This difference is also reflected on the Bryophyte page. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.156.109.71 (talk) 16:55, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Herm, I'm not experienced in this field at all. I only reverted because I followed the link that you changed, took one look, didn't see "Hornworts", and then hit revert. You can revert my edit, if it clearly was a mistake. K6ka (talk | contribs) 16:59, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alright will do. Thanks! 175.156.109.71 (talk) 17:33, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

re: changes made to Brown's Hotel page

Hello,

Regarding the changes that I made to the Brown's Hotel page, there is no citation. The owners of the hotel were my grandparents. The facts that I posted were made from memory.

Then we shouldn't include it as it would be considered original research, which Wikipedia prohibits. K6ka (talk | contribs) 14:49, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Changes on Kevin Durant's page

Hey sorry about the edits on creationism. I realized that someone posted that already. I thought it was pertinent to the conversation.

As for my edit on Indiana, I was trying to get an editor's attention. I wanted to add data to Kevin Durant's page. I included it in the talk page, and as of yet, it has been ignored. I think it is important to add, but the page is blocked from editing. Can you please help me take care of that change?

66.177.15.123 (talk) 17:00, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, vandalizing to get another editor's attention is not the way you do it. It's not being ignored, but as Wikipedia is a volunteer effort your request may not be answered immediately. Give it some time.
Also, for the Kevin Durant page, can you provide a reliable source to back it up? We require that the pages on living people be fully sourced and verifiable. K6ka (talk | contribs) 17:03, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=400490000

"Durant scored at least 25 points for the 39th consecutive game, the longest streak since Michael Jordan did it 40 consecutive times during the 1986-87 season. He reached 25 on a free throw with 3:31 remaining, drawing a roar from the crowd."

66.177.15.123 (talk) 17:08, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for my impatience....I guess I'm just excited about this stat. I have been a Durant fan for some time now. This is exciting to me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.177.15.123 (talk) 17:11, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Johnny Gill page

Hi! I am new so I hope I am doing the message thing right. I did read your page and I believe you may have edited some of my information on the Johnny Gill page which is fine. I see where you have a vast knowledge of editing the pages and on the talk page. Can you please assist me and help me out? I have tried to make sure his page is accurate and not filled with any untrue information. I am a huge fan and I run his fanpage on FB called JGsRoses. So I wanted to know how do I cite the sources and can you check his page to make sure it is accurate? I have never heard of him having a second son.

Thank You. Kareece1 (talk) 17:31, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This page explains citations quite well. Before you edit the actual page, feel free to practice in the sandbox, and once you're comfortable, add the citation in. If you have any more questions, you can either ask me or ask around at the Teahouse, where a team of friendly, experienced editors will be happy to assist you. Vandalism DefCon level

Hello K6, great work you do on vandalism, but the DefCon score really needs updating at least every half-hour 24-7, and the bot that used to do this has stopped working. In any case the Level 10 you put on seems to show up as Level 1. Rather than change the level manually now and then, I suggest our efforts need to go into campaigning for the bot to be revived: Noyster (talk), 16:03, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The bot isn't really 100% dead - it only appears to work for about an hour a day, and then shuts itself off. With the way things are the template is always either at a level 3, 4, or 5. K6ka (talk | contribs) 17:14, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well I dropped a message on the bot's talk page, but the bot operators don't seem to be active. The bot edits about once or twice a day. In the meantime, I'll try and fill in as much as I can. Not a bad trade-off - now my username appears on hundreds of pages around Wikipedia! K6ka (talk | contribs) 00:45, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal count

Hey, I see you are updating the anti-vandal count, because it seems like VoxelBot is down/ not working. I saw that the bots code is hosted on GitHub, so maybe you can get someone to re-host it with admin permission until the bot owner fixes it, unless you want to continue to do it. Anyway, thanks for actively updating it, you are awesome! TheMesquito (talk) 17:25, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ooh! The idea of running my very first bot on Wikipedia.... flies out of my grasp before I could even hold it. Not sure how my parents would like the idea of paying for the hardware and the things needed to run the bot continuously. Besides, I have no knowledge of computer programming, so I have no idea how to compile the code on GitHub. Until the bot operators get VoxelBot back up and running, I think I'll be happy to play Mr. Bot for a little while. Thanks for the idea though. Matthew Christopher

Hello.

I am writing the wiki about Matthew Christopher. I AM NOT Matthew Christopher. Matthew Christopher is a couture wedding gown designer in the league of Monique Lhuillier. As a matter of fact, i looked at her wiki page to try and make certain all rues were met. Please refer to this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monique_Lhuillier I also added all references and verification you requested.

Please be more specific on what you feel is in violation and I will correct this immediately. This wiki is not advertising or promotion it is an article about a notable person in the couture bridal business.

Matthewchristopher (talk) 05:32, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

In this edit [1], you reverted the IP's edit to his/her own talk page with the note Don't edit other people's comments.. While mostly (but not entirely - see WP:TALKO) true for non-user talk pages, per WP:OWNTALK "Users may freely remove comments from their own talk pages...". A welcome template does not fall into the "types of notices that users may not remove from their own talk pages". I don't want to confuse editor, but I recommend you revert your revert. Thanks! JoeSperrazza (talk) 16:42, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The main reason I reverted is that the edit removed the other editor's signature but left much of the message intact, which would confuse potential readers. If the IP removed the entire welcome notice, I would've ignored it. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 16:49, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That's their right to do so. For all we know, the editor is saving those pieces for future reference and doesn't want the other pieces. I'm not challenging your motives, but I am noting that what you did is out of policy. Please (a) revert your change and (b) keep WP:OWNTALK in mind in the future. Thanks! JoeSperrazza (talk) 16:56, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Done I was already consulted with WP:OWNTALK, but I guess having a seemingly incomplete Welcome was favorable. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 16:59, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Taylors

To whom it may concern,

I work at Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site in Johnson City, TN. The Taylor family involves our history here at the site. The spelling of Nathaniel Greene Taylor and his wife, Emmaline Haynes Taylor, is spelled wrong. It would be much appreciated if this could be changed. Thank you.

We need your help testing latest huggle

Hello,

I am sending you this message because you listed yourself on meta:Huggle/Members as a beta tester. We desperately need attention of testers, because since we resolved all release blockers, we are ready to release first official version of huggle 3! Before that happens, it would be nice if you could test it so that we can make sure there are no issues with it. You can download it packaged for your operating system (see Wikipedia:Huggle/Huggle3_Beta) or you can of course build it yourself, see https://github.com/huggle/huggle3-qt-lx for that. Don't forget to use always latest version, there is no auto-update message for beta versions!

Should you find any issue, please report it to wikimedia bugzilla, that is a central place for huggle bugs, where we look at them. That is i mportant, if you find a bug and won't report it, we can't fix it. Thank you for your work on this, if you have any questions, please send me a message on my talk page, I won't be looking for responses here. Thanks, Petrb (talk) 15:21, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Continuing Edit War on Street Artists Program Article

I see that you previously offered guidance to William Clark concerning his disruptive edits on the Street Artists Program article. He still persists in deleting sourced material. You can read his latest justifications on its talk page [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Street_Artists_Program_of_San_Francisco#I_posted_a_bunch_of_news_articles ]. Yoninah, NeilN and others can not seem to convince him not to repetitively delete sourced material. Maybe you could speak with him or suggest page protections which could stop the continuing edit war that he provokes.James Carroll (talk) 22:22, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Intervening, though I won't be reverting anything in the article. Not because I'm a 0RR person, but because I don't want to engage myself in an edit war. I'll try to talk to him, and requesting page protection as a last resort, since full page protection (sysop only) locks out other users. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 01:40, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Some form of page protection seems inevitable for this DYK article. Edits for the Baseball article are limited to only a listed group of editors – we should do the same here. You can go back and read Clark's response to your latest suggestions. He is immune to any advice and only responds with verbose and disorganized rants while later changing whatever he chooses. This is the fifth time he has attempted to delete the same sourced statement in a narcissistic attempt to include his own name within the article. How is Wikipedia supposed to deal with unstable individuals who repetitively flaunt its rules?James Carroll (talk) 21:02, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of hobbies, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Cleaning (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

According to this edit, the changes you made aren't introducing the topic to readers. When we start an article on Wikipedia, we begin with "'This thing' is a 'blah blah blah'", and we refrain from using a promotional tone and Weasel words. "For over 40 years, 'this thing' has been..." is not the way we start an article here. The tone we use in articles do not give readers ideas on which side to take, which side was correct, and which side was wrong. We also write articles in our own words, and your edits appeared to have been copied directly from another source. I noticed that you replaced a lot of sourced content with unsourced material - keep in mind that all materials need to be supported by a reliable source - if you need help with citations, check out WP:CITE. Also, while we do encourage editors to be Bold, sometimes an editor will disagree, revert your edit, and then ask you to discuss it on the article talk page. Instead of reverting them again, sort the issue out and discuss it with other editors. Your changes appear to be pretty questionable, so I would probably ask for advice over at the Teahouse. BTW, if you need help with Wikipedia, you can check out our Introduction to Wikipedia, and if you have any questions, the Teahouse is staffed by friendly, experienced editors that can help you out. If you have any more questions, you can check out the links I provided, ask at the Teahouse, or just ask me again on this page. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 14:00, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
